Amazon Lily #8

More words are thrown around between Sweet and Boa Hancock, though Sweet continues to argue that the grass is indeed greener on the other side, which anyone would most definitely agree. Yet Neutrality is not what Boa Hancock could choose, or rather she simply has no choice. But regardless of the case, it would have been far better than everyone in Amazon Lily sinking into the sea a long time ago. Sweet mention she has seen what has happened to islands under Spada’s control, through papers and what not – but Sour would most definitely disagree on that, a pirate crew managing to sneak into a Yonko’s territory? Quite absurd. But Sour has not much to say to that, the trickery in which Sweet is showing might meant resourcefulness that allows her to get through. For Boa Hancock, she herself knew – but at the same time, Sweet’s words are contradictory to what is happening in Amazon Lily. At least given Sour’s control things weren’t as bad as Sweet is insinuating, and so far things have yet to change. Sweet’s words have argument but nothing substantial to back it up given Amazon Lily’s situation.

Sweet continues to insult Sour for absolutely no reason, but Boa Hancock remains steady in her composure – her very slight gesture towards Sour kept the Spada Pirate from turning things ugly, though the Gorgons serving as her bodyguards did not take too kindly, serving as a strong indication that further aggression will not end well for the upstart pirate crew. Sweet would finally try to reason why Boa Hancock once more, making it known that the World Government is the worst enemy to make of than La Spada herself and they weren’t about to provide protection but only to return to the status quo. Boa Hancock also listened to Sweet’s words all the way to the end, which Sweet concluded nothing beneficial for the Snake Princess.

“My answer is No.”

Boa Hancock answered after giving a thought. The answer is quite obvious. Sweet is certainly wrong. It is only a possible death and destruction against the World Government. After all, to Boa Hancock, being an escaped slave from the Celestial Dragon meant that she has survived for so long without being attacked by an entire army, something that Sweet would have to know it would be rather unlikely. The Marines are not capable of that much manpower given how much they are stretched thin across the entire world. Wano Kuni and Whole Cake Island are two separate events in which only selected agents of the Marines are sent instead of an army, showing even their reluctance to attack a Yonko. The status quo has remained like this for a long time, and World Government are the ones that ‘fired’ the past Warlords, if the World Government refused to attack a Yonko with their full military might for a very long time, then it would be suffice to say that what Sweet is saying is far less likely than she is making it out to be.

In fact, it would be hard to even say what Sweet even says holds any weight at all. The longer the conversation goes, the more Boa Hancock realizes the incredible circumstances of sending pirates not even officially known (at least to Boa Hancock) to be the new Warlords instead of actual officials from the World Government for this. It would suffice to say it would be difficult for Boa Hancock to know if Sweet is lying. But no matter Sweet’s identity is, the fact still remains. Pulling away from La Spada is definite death for Amazon Lily. There is no way about it, and doing what Sweet is proposing is simply the same as signing a death warrant almost immediately.

“I’ve heard your words, and you have heard mine. Leave Amazon Lily now.”

Boa would have the Sweet Pirates leave, and they should best do so respectfully. Any further insults from the Sweet Pirates will definitely end very badly for them.

“I’ve heard your words, and you have heard mine. Leave Amazon Lily now.”
Gochi grunted in disgust at the lack of respect (and food) given to him.

Sweet shrugged with a smile of false pity on her face. "Alright, alright." She said, now putting her webbed hands up at her sides. "It's 'your' island, after all." The fishwoman said with a dramatic roll of her eyes for sarcastic emphasis. Sweet turned her back to Boa and glanced around at the residents and defenders of La Spada's territory, who would likely be just as irritated as Boa.

"It's not my henhouse to play in, Boa." She said, beginning to head back in the direction of the flowing stream through Amazon Lily. "Don't say nobody warned ya' though."
Gochi, still sulking in place, suddenly sniffed the air and realized Sweet was walking away. "OH OH, WAIT FOR ME BIG SIS!" He yapped.

Sweet was disappointed, Boa had seemed to have completely lost her pride she had heard many stories of, the "Pirate Empress" was content playing second-fiddle. The island was welly and truly Spada's territory- the intruding captain had discovered that much during this little escapade. Still, she was confident her "bluff" would materialize itself into reality soon enough. Should the yonko not have gotten her bony grasp on the island first, perhaps an alliance could've been formed- instead Sweet only foresaw a brutal downfall for the Amazon women.

She gave a phony look of pity over towards all the residents who may have gathered one last time. Then, in an instant, her face became somewhat commanding and cold: "Alright, open your big ol' door and lemme outta here." She said in reference to huge red gates to the island.
"I gotta feed this thing." A webbed finger lazily pointing at the bouncing, blue ball of cannibalistic energy. Should it seem they would open the door for her, Sweet would continue down the road towards the central river with a half-wave over her shoulder.

And should that happen the two fishpeople would both dive back into their natural element and begin to make their ways down back to the mouth of river, ready to board their boat and get back to the water.

With the answers given, Sweet was asked to leave the island, that staying any longer would more than likely incur the wrath of the Amazons, something in which the Sweet Pirates should not tango with. With that said, Sweet and Gochi would finally leave, though they would choose to use the river as their path back to their ship. The doors that they would look to that stands between them and their path has been opened, thus allowing the duo to leap into the waters eventually.

Boa Hancock isn’t stupid. The words of Sweet did indeed make some sense. But the pirate crew themselves have never met La Spada. They would not understand, though if they did – unlikely they would even attempt such a brazen move. But that’s not just that, the news of La Spada and her Shadow in Whole Cake Island is somewhat known, even though she was there she wasn’t necessarily privy to the details that happened. But Sour herself, knew of it. And between Boa Hancock and Sour, they have talked – outside of certain one’s ears. Perhaps such conversation created hope for Boa Hancock, that she has decided to continually make use of the protection of the Yonko. But with Sweet’s words, something that would meant immediate destruction should they secede from the Spada Pirates, is not enough to convince the Snake Princess. What’s the point of doing so if the Spada Pirates will simply come down with their might and crush the Amazon the very next day? Her sweet words meant very little without any real guarantee.

Either way, the future of Amazon Lily is quite uncertain. But for the time being, the Sweet Pirates would make their way back towards the ship. A gesture is made to an Amazon from Boa Hancock, a silent one before she would turn her attention back to Sour, possibly the nicest or most innocent of the Spada Pirates, though not particularly a high bar as they return to the palace.

Back to the Sweet Pirates, once the Sweet Pirates have fully returned to their ships, they would find Amazon guards, those that did not escort the pirates to continue to stay watch from afar, waiting for the Sweet Pirates to finally make their departure from their homes. However, soon enough Sweet herself in some trouble as soon as she gotten close to a shadowy corner of her ship, as a blade appeared near her neck from the back – where from the shadows a woman speaks out.

“Sail. Now.”

"It'll all come in good time." Sweet remarked to Gochi, in a sense that indicated she was talking more to herself than anything. Gochi hardly reacted, he didn't really understand what she was talking about. Sweet continued murmuring to herself as they began boarding the nameless small boat, passing right over a violent stowaway.
"Can I take this off?" Gochi asked in response, hopping aboard the boat while the captain raised the anchor. He pointed to his drying head of kelp and seaweed in disdain. Without waiting for a response he began pulling the green strands off his head, not seeing a point in disguising himself anymore.

"Give it a seco-"
as a blade appeared near her neck from the back – where from the shadows a woman speaks out.

“Sail. Now.”
Gochi spun in shock, he had not picked up the scent of a stowaway upon approach. Sweet's eyes widened as well, the stowaway admittedly catching her off guard- it wasn't long before an accepting smile appeared on her face, a gallows chuckle escaping her throat. "Ata Ata Ata-" It seemed that Amazon Lily still had plenty of pride despite Sweet's impressions on the residents.
The captain had been taken with a blade to the neck more than once, she knew not to turn to face the invader quite yet- She nodded.
"Set sail for..."

She hadn't been gone from her crew for more than a full two days, she couldn't set sail for the rendezvous point quite yet. "Set sail for Momoiro Island." She ordered the oblivious cabin boy. The island was the closest island she could think of, conveniently (or inconveniently) another territory of La Spada.
After a considerable pause, Sweet turned a bit. "I'm the helmsman, girl." She said to the violent stowaway. "You're gonna have to let me take the wheel."
The expression on the amazon girl's face was serious, she seemed ready to end Sweet Einsauer right here. It seemed the disrespect to her people wasn't sitting well with this girl. It was unclear of how much of Sweet's monologue she had heard, but it was clear she had heard enough.
"I should cut you down." She said coldly with a force behind her words that seemed not to match her relatively small size. "You will help me take down La Spada, and in return you shall keep your life, fishwoman."
Sweet smiled, it seemed her words had found some sort of leverage afterall, even if it wasn't quite what she had hoped. This was a mere lackey, a civilian...But this civilian had quite a bit of confidence.

Sweet chuckled. "Ata ata- Looks like we'll be good friends, girl."
The girl cut off Sweet's sinister yapping quickly. "Doubt it. Sail. Now."
"Yes, ma'am." Said the fishwoman with a tone of sarcasm laced in both respect and self-superiority, beginning towards the cockpit of the boat. The blue-haired amazon girl followed behind with a blade right up against Captain Einsauer's spine- a genuine threat despite their power difference.
Gochi 'watched' in shock (mouth agape) with only a few remaining strands of seaweed poking from beneath his hat, still simply and utterly surprised he didn't smell the blood in the intruder's veins. The look of shock remained even as the boat pulled away swiftly from the small port area on the outer shore of Amazon Lily. It seemed Sweet would be adding another errand to her agenda before rejoining her crew. She didn't expect to be slapping up at a yonko so soon-

No time like the present it would be supposed- It was time to see what was happening on a known Spada territory. This time it wouldn't be a surprise for her, Sweet would be ready, she was sure of it. To Sweet, this stowaway was a harbinger of fate, in the most dramatic of terms.
"Spada here we come..." She said to placate the amazon warrior aboard her ship, but also in a manner half-serious. Sweet needed to think carefully about her next steps, she was sailing knowingly into dangerous waters.
