Amazon Lily #8

More words are thrown around between Sweet and Boa Hancock, though Sweet continues to argue that the grass is indeed greener on the other side, which anyone would most definitely agree. Yet Neutrality is not what Boa Hancock could choose, or rather she simply has no choice. But regardless of the case, it would have been far better than everyone in Amazon Lily sinking into the sea a long time ago. Sweet mention she has seen what has happened to islands under Spada’s control, through papers and what not – but Sour would most definitely disagree on that, a pirate crew managing to sneak into a Yonko’s territory? Quite absurd. But Sour has not much to say to that, the trickery in which Sweet is showing might meant resourcefulness that allows her to get through. For Boa Hancock, she herself knew – but at the same time, Sweet’s words are contradictory to what is happening in Amazon Lily. At least given Sour’s control things weren’t as bad as Sweet is insinuating, and so far things have yet to change. Sweet’s words have argument but nothing substantial to back it up given Amazon Lily’s situation.
Sweet continues to insult Sour for absolutely no reason, but Boa Hancock remains steady in her composure – her very slight gesture towards Sour kept the Spada Pirate from turning things ugly, though the Gorgons serving as her bodyguards did not take too kindly, serving as a strong indication that further aggression will not end well for the upstart pirate crew. Sweet would finally try to reason why Boa Hancock once more, making it known that the World Government is the worst enemy to make of than La Spada herself and they weren’t about to provide protection but only to return to the status quo. Boa Hancock also listened to Sweet’s words all the way to the end, which Sweet concluded nothing beneficial for the Snake Princess.
“My answer is No.”
Boa Hancock answered after giving a thought. The answer is quite obvious. Sweet is certainly wrong. It is only a possible death and destruction against the World Government. After all, to Boa Hancock, being an escaped slave from the Celestial Dragon meant that she has survived for so long without being attacked by an entire army, something that Sweet would have to know it would be rather unlikely. The Marines are not capable of that much manpower given how much they are stretched thin across the entire world. Wano Kuni and Whole Cake Island are two separate events in which only selected agents of the Marines are sent instead of an army, showing even their reluctance to attack a Yonko. The status quo has remained like this for a long time, and World Government are the ones that ‘fired’ the past Warlords, if the World Government refused to attack a Yonko with their full military might for a very long time, then it would be suffice to say that what Sweet is saying is far less likely than she is making it out to be.
In fact, it would be hard to even say what Sweet even says holds any weight at all. The longer the conversation goes, the more Boa Hancock realizes the incredible circumstances of sending pirates not even officially known (at least to Boa Hancock) to be the new Warlords instead of actual officials from the World Government for this. It would suffice to say it would be difficult for Boa Hancock to know if Sweet is lying. But no matter Sweet’s identity is, the fact still remains. Pulling away from La Spada is definite death for Amazon Lily. There is no way about it, and doing what Sweet is proposing is simply the same as signing a death warrant almost immediately.
“I’ve heard your words, and you have heard mine. Leave Amazon Lily now.”
Boa would have the Sweet Pirates leave, and they should best do so respectfully. Any further insults from the Sweet Pirates will definitely end very badly for them.
