Banaro Island is an island that is very close to Water 7, but is not part of the Sea Train route. This island is known to have huge rocks that face up in different directions called Banana Rock. There was an unnamed Wild West theme town here.

BANARO (Present Day)
(Narrative Post)

The small Isle of Banaro is not significant or special in any real way. It is a tiny rocky Island near Water 7 and the hustle and bustle of the sea train route. The islands near proximity too Water 7 is about all its know for these days. It houses only one small wild west like town with around 100 inhabitants. The Island has no exports, nor do they participate in shipping trade or are hospitable for visiting travelers. The poor village of Rock Ridge barely has enough goods and services too keep It's own citizens alive. The living conditions are poor, and everyone is in poverty, that is except for the Sheriff. There are also several groups of outlaws that have hideouts in the rocky caves that were banished or left for a better opportunity, they are no better off than the citizens of rock Ridge.

The sheriff is a fat and slothenly man that hasn't aged well. He is corrupt and despite the town having a Judge, Mayor, etc, It is the Sheriff that actually runs the Island. Rumor has it that Long ago the Sheriff was once a notorious Pirate, who made a big name for himself and was feared all through the Grand Line for his skills with a Pistol. In order too keep the people suppressed he hordes the food, and booze, leaving the water free for all since its already scarce in the desert like Island. He also hosts a Quarterly contest that "allows" the citizens a chance to win food and money (tho no one other than the Sheriff has ever won) in a quick draw/Shooting sport Extravaganza! Despite the Sheriff being Fat and slow his hand and skills with a gun never diminished, even though other parts of him did. This contest lets him kill the strongest fighters under the guise of a competition never allowing the people to have enough strong people to properly revolt, each thinking they might be able to win and dethrone the evil Sheriff.

The Rules of The contest are simple. 1. Anyone can enter. 2. All participants MUST wear the life monitoring bracelet while participating(provided at sign up) 3. If CAUGHT cheating the penalty is death (additionally the one who claims the kill gets a 1st place prize open too non participants) 4. You can challenge any participant, but only once per day (once per day rule does not apply to if you get challenged after already issuing a challenge) 5. The Champion can only be challenged with a minimum of 5x life bracelets
6. 10 Life bracelets can be turned in for a 1st place prize (This usually results in everyone killing each other and not going for the Sheriff)
7. The winner of a match gets all life bracelets in the losers possession 8. While the competition is going ALL participants get free Food, Drink and Lodging (this entices people to join, even if they know they are gonna die, they will die full and drunk)

The Contest is only a few days away....

The sea was calm, the sky showed no sign of any incoming storm, but X had a weird feeling about his trip and it was just the first day. He felt that something would probably happen soon. There was nothing to do on that boat except sleep.
At the end of the afternoon, with no ship nor island in sight, he started to wonder if he should have learned some navigation skills. He had little idea of where he was heading and if he would really reach his destination. Given how much food he took with him while leaving Little Garden he knew that he would have to make a stop on the first island that he will see or he might starve and die on the sea.

"Will I be forced to eat raw fishes?" He thought.
"I hope I'm not lost, and that I'm heading in the right direction."

The night on the sea with a clear sky offered a magnificent scenery. The stars reflected on top of the sea and a peaceful breeze blew. X's mind was at ease and decided to call it a day and succumbed to Morpheus assault.

Narration
"Talking"
Thoughts
Action

Part One:
Vicious

The solitude of the desert gave him time to his own thoughts and didn't mind what he did whenever he decided to do it. He'd come in some time ago and put a stake on some land just beyond the hills. He intended to mining for gold later on but found himself straying away from that path and just minding his own business because the nightmares kept him from functioning properly.

Occasionally he rode into town for supplies, mail, and a drink. The bar he liked to stop by was located near the edge, often ignored because the liquor was weak, the food was bad, but the people that stopped there had nice tales to tell. He suspected it was used as a cover for Something Else, but he didn't care to find out what, when or who. He just wanted to sit and enjoy his drink and listen for the sound of his name leaving any traveler's lips.

The night was young, and the dusty streets were full of revelers. Drunken cowboys, rambunctious women, and animals waiting for their riders lined the wooden sidewalks. There was a fight at the corner of the street that had Sheriff walking over to investigate, his deputy trailing behind him with a terrified expression.

The bar wasn't lively as usual, today, some cowboys getting rowdy at the gambling tables. The smell of smoke was extremely pungent, and the two bartenders were scrambling from wall to counter to serve drinks.

It was not unusual for such activity, and he hesitated on whether or not to continue in. But the bartender who always wore a very low hanging hat that obscured his eyes gestured at him from the empty end of the bar with his usual drink in hand, and so he felt he had no choice but to go enjoy it. He set down.

"It's terribly busy because Sheriff again killed few, last night," Bartender explained hastily. "Also some thieves. Wiped banks clean and set fire to everything else."

It made him only slightly uncomfortable. This town is too poor to have a large sum, so it seems out of frustrations those thieves burn down the entire bank. He was not surprised. Indeed, his only wonder was that he had not already been mixed up in this case, which was the one topic of conversation through the length and breadth of Banaro. But Vicious relaxed at the counter and watched the mirrors behind the bar, seeing four men at a poker table accuse each other of cheating, guns being drawn.

Occasionally he'd meet his own eyes in the reflection, wide brim hat pulled down low, He was a tall man, standing over most of the men in town, and while wiry, he wore multiple layers of clothes that covered nearly every inch of him, including half-fingered gloves.

Gunfire erupted, bullets splintering the wall around him, but he knew he wasn't in any danger. Men screamed and hollered, throwing chairs, and soon most of them were fighting over dropped money, drinks and whatever else had displeased them.

Bar door opened a woman walked over to Vicious and got herself seated beside him on the stool. Julia stamped her foot, her brown eyes flashing defiant anger upon watching those drunken men fighting over money.

"What brings you here Vicious?" she said with a beautifully slow smile and an irritatingly animated expression. "Everyone's having fun out there, and you're the only one in the corner, keeping to himself as always."

She was a striking-looking woman, a little short and thick for symmetry, but with a beautiful olive complexion, large, dark brown eyes, and a wealth of deep brown hair.

"My dear Julia, this is a time for observation, not for action. We are wandering in a poor town. It's no use for us to engage in such activity."

"That is exactly not what I expected," she said, with something appealing in her voice and expression.

Again someone entered inside the bar, it was tall man, probably tall as Vicious, he walked slowly from step to step and shooting keen glances to right and left, the fight that erupted while ago has already stopped. He glanced over Vicious and Julia as he walked over them and got himself seated beside Julia. His bones ached as he sat down in his chair. He peeled off his jacket and tossed it onto the empty chair next to him before turning to look at Vicious.

"Afternoon, Vicious," Sheriff said, pulling his cigar from his mouth and surveying the property with a suspicious look. "You live so far away from town. It's a rare moment in time when we finally meet formally."

Seeing he wasn't going to get a reply, Sherrif shifted his gaze to the bartender. "Vodka please" He looked at Vicious with a last long, questioning gaze, and then taking a sip from his Vodka that bartender just has served him. "Maybe it's a good thing you live so far away."

Julia looked at Sheriff with a quick, questioning smile. "Why do you say that?" she asked.

"Some people are not kind as always they seem. I certainly think I do not need to tell this to Mr. Vicious but maybe outlaws had laid their eyes on you. Beware of them."

"Shh!" Julia said, clutching her hair with both hands.

"I see no reason why anyone wants to kill me. I'm not associated with anybody in this town," said Vicious, putting his hand against the table.

"Anybody that you know, anybody from your past, looking to cause you trouble?" Asked Sheriff.

"No" He answered truthfully.

"If there is anything you want to know, please, let us know," Sheriff then said, as he gulped his drink in one go, grabbed his jacket before leaving the bar.

"They're up to something again. I hate these people." Coldly muttering, Julia stared at Vicious with sharp eyes, before continuing. "You should be more careful."

In her eyes, Sheriff was tantamount to a despicable enemy who had abandoned his own kind.

"To be truthful, if you can prove what you say, then I may be more careful around them."

"Since it's like that! Take that as a warning"

"Yeah, yeah!"

It's been three days since he left Little Garden and his crew. The marksman of the Backyard Pirate was now standing on the beach of an unknown island to him. Touching the back of his head, he tried to remember how he ended up her. Everything was fine on the first day of his journey with the sun high in the sky and the cloud floating peacefully. The ration of food he took was enough to last at least a week, he believed with his management and a few days without eating it could stretch to two weeks at least. The only miscalculation he made was that the journey was going to be as calm as the first day. On the second day of his adventure, X found himself in a situation where he had no control or way to survive. The morning was agitated by waves trying to destroy his small boat. Water filled the boat and the gunslinger desperately tried to stop the worse case to happen using the can of orange he had the previous day. After hours of battle against mother nature, he finally won and save his life. Relaxed and proud of himself who didn't have any real navigation skills, X thought he deserved a rest. With the calming sounds of waves, the passenger of the small boat carelessly fell asleep to only be woken up by a storm later in the day. Time flew without him noticing anything and judging by the sky it looked like the afternoon or dusk? Impossible to tell with the dark clouds shielding the sun and throwing off the self proclaimed adventurer X.
The wind blew extremely strong, making nearly impossible to stay standing. The boat shook so hard in contact with the heavy waves and was on verge of being flipped over by the wind. The sail was hitting its limit before getting folded by X. Thunder rumbled, a big flash of light blinded X who immediately closed his eyes. The next seconds he felt a pouring rain on him. It filled up the boat at a speed the gunman could not match. Trying to reproduce his previous feat, X boat was hit by wave and shook hard enough to push him to the edge, hit his head and collapse. Unconscious onboard the boat, Lucky X drifted away from his original destination and also the storm. Now back on calm sea the boat was taking its knocked out passenger to an unknown destination.
The next day at what seemed to be noon, the pirate woke up and saw that he reached a island. However he didn't recognize the scenery. Getting off, he walked around still dazed and stumbling. He made sure that this was not his destination and went back to the boat. The man wanted to leave right away, but he discovered that all the provisiond of the journey were spoiled. Angered he let out a loud sharp sound. His breathing was heavy, reflection of his frustration. He had no idea where he was or if this island could be inhabited. Brainstorming ideas leaned over the boat, He could recognize the distant sound of gun being fired.
X dried his coat and hanged it on the boat he jus dragged out of the water. How he was still alive didn't really matter to him, what did was leaving as soon as possible. He rushed in the direction of the sound, and behind a rocky formation was a town, the atmosphere around was not cheerful. X walked down the street when he recognized something he would never forget, a saloon. A man was just coming out of it, meaning it was open. X started walking towards the saloon house.

Part Two: Sheriff

The sheriff had framed himself in the aperture. His costume was a peculiar mixture of the professional and of the agricultural, having a brown top-hat, a long frock-coat, and a pair of high gaiters, with a hunting-crop swinging in his hand. So tall was he that his hat actually brushed the cross bar of the doorway, and his breadth seemed to span it across from side to side. A medium face, seared with a thousand wrinkles, burned yellow with the sun, and marked with every evil passion, was turned from one to the other of us, while his deep-set, bile-shot eyes, and his high, thin, fleshless nose, gave him somewhat the resemblance to a fierce old bird of prey.

A man was just coming out of it, meaning it was open. X started walking towards the saloon house.
The sheriff had disentangled himself from the rush of town men making havoc all the time. On the side of the streets there were a number of lights, most of them clustered around the area of the music. There looked to be four streets, three running at right angles to the coach road, which was the main avenue of the town. And he was walking swiftly through the gathering gloom along the vile, deeply-rutted road, which formed a short cut to station. He will remember his past as walked through the damp streets that cause by the rain of the morning, and the air was heavy with the smell of the freshturned earth.

The sun blazed down with a degree of heat which was remarkable so late in the season. An almost superstitious feeling came upon the sheriff as he looked at the man when the sun gleamed upon seeing a stranger, or even more so, perhaps, he was evidently a stranger to this part of the country.

Without a second thought in mind, he walked up to the stranger he looked him with wild questioning eyes, and then he realized that his wanderings had come to an end. As he came nearer to him he could confirm that he was a stranger, and from his clothes and from his appearance he seemed to have come from a distance. Noticing the great height of the fellow and that he still held his weapon.

"Well, my lad," said sheriff, affecting ease which he by no means felt, "what business you have with this town?"

His clothes were the no-color of rain or dust. His shirt was open at the throat, with a rawhide thong dangling loosely in hand-punched eyelets. His pants were seam-stretched dungarees. Altogether he gave the sheriff the impression of being one of the most dangerous types of man that he had ever fallen in with.

Walking, X glanced at the surrounding. The people on the street had their eyes on him. The man was still drenched, his black shirt was almost see-thru revealing a glimpse of his power suit under it. With his pant heavier than usual, he decided to leave all his equipment with his coat hanging on the boat. All he had was the two guns that he hid on his back and four magazines of his best bullets in his pockets. Anyone would be cautious in a new town, but the pirate came here with a clear objective, plundering as he had no money on him. He looked with his eyes for food storage or anything similar. The plan was simple, drink something since it's been a while he had one, then grab the food and booze, finally leave.

Lost in his planning, X did not notice that the man he saw coming out of the saloon earlier was walking towards him until he heard his voice.
"Well, my lad," said sheriff, affecting ease which he by no means felt, "what business you have with this town?"
A man was blocking his way, no he dared block his way? X was irritated by the confidence and the arrogance that he perceived in this act.
"Given how you dared to stop me in the middle of the town, you must be the one controlling it. Yet it's so sad that you are not able to recognize me. I guess newspapers don't get delivered here." scoffed the gunslinger.

Part Three: Fight

"Given how you dared to stop me in the middle of the town, you must be the one controlling it. Yet it's so sad that you are not able to recognize me. I guess newspapers don't get delivered here." scoffed the gunslinger.
The sheriff lifted an eyebrow, and then jerked his head. as he grunted a laugh, he couldn't help but feel a little bitter at that moment. There were a few people on the streets, not many, but a few.

"That's not my affair who you are, and I guess you can settle it in town court. Meanwhile, come on, Mr. Whoever you're, and come quietly if you don't want a gun across your head. You stand wide; for I warn you I will stand no resistance when I am on duty!" He knew he wasn't lying, he could be very well some big shot but he didn't care about it. The sheriff was staring at him with cyanosed eyes, his hands clenching and unclenching.

Then from the pocket of his overcoat, he drew a bulky object, and he busied himself in some task which ended with a loud, sharp click as if a spring or bolt had fallen into its place. Still kneeling upon the floor he bent forward and threw all his weight and strength upon some lever, with the result that there came a long, whirling, grinding noise, ending once more in a powerful click. He straightened himself then, and what he held in his hand was a sort of gun. For an instant, he was rigid and motionless. Then his finger tightened on the trigger.

"I here by arrest you for trying to threated the sheriff of this town." said he, as his keen eyes darted over him, "Now what will you do, you cannot hide anywhere in this town in my watch."

In front of the angered man holding a gun but not firing X could not help but smile while lowering and shaking his head to show his disappointment.
" Amateur." Scoffed X again
"You don't use your gun for threatening but for killing what you find unpleasant." added our gunman.
Standing tall and unfazed by the petty threat that was giving the man opposing him, X came to think that a commotion here would probably get in the way of his plan. The possibility of a strong opponent appearing here while alone scared him. "Well if it happens I'll just run for my life...Gungungun" thought X completely ignoring the situation. He judged by the way his opponent held his gun and carried himself to be able to outspeed him. There was no need to overreact and shoot before he did. The altercation caught the eyes of the people on the street who were closely watching and waiting for the outcome of the argument.

"You don't use your gun for threatening but for killing what you find unpleasant." added our gunman.
He reached for his gun again and then stopped, sheriff's subtle warning making stranger come nicely didn't work. He had to handle it, he had to him from making the mess the town. He suddenly became aware that his surroundings had gone silent, and he tasted thick tension in the air. The words of this man. For a moment his mind refused to track it.

"Well, well, I have a clear day, and I shall be happy to have a gunfight," said sheriff, with a mischievous twinkle in his eyes. He fished through the coins in his pocket to find the largest one. showing it to the man in front of him. "I'll toss this coin, as soon as it reach the ground, we fight!"

He was serious, deadly serious. The sheriff sidestepped and the coin in the palm of his hand is light and quite old. It must be, we haven't used physical money for so long. This one is copper and through the striking green that spreads over the surface.

He walked to the center of the street, his boots sending up squirts of dust waterbags were strapped across his back. He stopped and looked at the stranger. He perfectly formed the mouth, with that slight upward curve of the corners which goes with a keen appreciation of fun, suggesting even in repose that a smile is ever lurking at the edges of the lips as he tosses the coin. Wait for it to come down, as soon as coin touch the ground he spoke, "It's down"

Senses sharpened with adrenaline, he held his breath, straining to hear with every ounce of his concentration. Not quite silent. He fired his gun towards the stranger. The gunshots were sounded as if they could crack a skull as if the sound itself could purify the mind.

(C-rank bullets.)

The blew on the drenched gunslinger who was forced to stand up on the street by a man who had no power to do so. Quite a ridiculous situation if you ask. The old offended by X tone and arrogance made what would be the mistake of his life. He tried to chew on what he couldn't, meaning today would be his last day on earth. Confronting a pirate was always dangerous, but X was on a different level. He took pleasure in slaughtering people, the reason why he had no other path to take than piracy. His gun has never deceived him ever and to add meaning to his relation with the gun, he decided to only draw it to kill. Now in front of him, was this man threatening him with a gun and asked for a duel against him.
"Foolish." thought the gunner. But the old man was dead serious, he took an old looking coin out of his pocket. "Is everything he's carrying old like him?"
The duel was supposed to start as soon as the coin touched the ground, but the old fool screamed as it hit the ground. X was amazed by his amateur. Gunfire resonated, but X already disappeared from his standing point to appear next to his opponent. Curiously he didn't draw his gun yet, instead he aimed at the old man lower body with a spinning sweeping kick. Hand to hand combat was not his thing, but he judged his opponent not worthy of his bullet at this point.

Curiously he didn't draw his gun yet, instead he aimed at the old man lower body with a spinning sweeping kick. Hand to hand combat was not his thing, but he judged his opponent not worthy of his bullet at this point.
At the same moment, he sprang at him. He saw the glint of a stranger, as he dashed at his direction in unbelievable speed. He's fast. was his only thought. With sidesteps, he dodged a spinning sweeping kick by the inch, and a moment later hed got his gun aimed at the stranger's chest. It was his only chance, for he could not hope to fight his way out against this man. He challenged to fight him and to started this fight. His offer was accepted, and thus the fight was started.

Now after all this. He must fight his odds. He must, single-handed, cage up this man like a rat in a hole. He must oppose his simple weapon to the life-preserver. With the thought of duty in his heart and his gun in his hand, he goes to what is too often his death, like a valiant high-minded sheriff, who fears the reproach of his own conscience more than pistol bullet. He can only find out the limits of this hellish power by his own bitter experience. So, he will fight and fight and fight and will die believing his own ideals.

"It's over, stranger," Sheriff said with a ghastly smile. The knurled grip felt at home in his palm, as he fired his gun. It felt all too comfortable in his palm for him, but nevertheless, he couldn't wait to feel that ear-shattering roar as it the bullet snickered through the air towards his target.

A miracle happened in front of X, his calculation was wrong. Was that man actually faster than he thought? No there was no way. Crouched, leaning on one hand with his leg halfway extended, X couldn't believe what he saw. His arrogance made him underestimate his enemy? His mind had a hard time digesting the information. Just at the time, the old man pointed his gun at him again
"It's over, stranger," Sheriff said with a ghastly smile.
X snapped at that moment, remembering how he left the crew to go after his target. There was no way this was where he would meet his end. The gun was fired, yet X didn't move or tried to dodge it. He knew it would do no damage to him thanks to the suit power he always wore. The bullet lodged itself on his chest leaving a burning mark on his shirt before falling on the ground. Now that he proved the old man to not be his level, X didn't want to drag this any longer. His first attempt at a hand to hand disgusted him and now he was in an embarrassing position.
"No witnesses should be left alive, starting with this old man." thought X before drawing his gun and firing a bullet aimed straight his opponent head. Next would be eliminating everyone that witnessed the duel.

-Part Four: Gren

"No witnesses should be left alive, starting with this old man." thought X before drawing his gun and firing a bullet aimed straight his opponent head. Next would be eliminating everyone that witnessed the duel.
"Ugh," He groaned. The bullet goes off, but he doesn't even feel it, the whole world around him just seems to freeze. When he tries, he can certainly move, but everything apart from him, even time, has stopped. And then he looks at the man who pulled the trigger and contemplates his situation, he's not in pain, so perhaps he didn't shoot? Only, his heart was racing with fear a minute ago. The body fell to the ground, the warmth of life stolen by the cold embrace of death, blood rushing out of his head wound and tainting the once pristine ground with the humor of one taken too soon.

Suddenly, everyone on the street starts screaming and running around, some people's hands were trembling traveled down into there arms and legs, leaving them unsteady on their feet. Their hearts seemed to pound even faster, even harder. Some tried to take a deep breath to calm themselves, but their breaths were sharp and shallow.

-Meanwhile inside the Bar-

"How many times have I told you to stop drinking that much?!"

"It's just a bit of alcohol… This lousy body of mine is completely immune to that kind of weak poison. Hahaha… Even a little harm isn't bad from time to time… D-darn it all…" Julia muttered her own anger and frustration.

However, no matter how Julia tried to shoo the annoyance away, Vicious continued to look at Julia with an innocent smile. "…"

He was not a man who drank hard, but a little drink would have a very great effect upon him. Then it was that the ideas would surge from his brain, each more fantastic and ingenious than the last. And if ever he did get beyond the borderland he would do the most amazing things. Sometimes it was the fighting instinct that would possess him, sometimes the preaching, and sometimes the comic.

When he looked at her, she was indeed, dear to him. But when she said that she thinks that he is not happy in his daily life. It has it never struck him how thoughtful she is at times, and how absent-minded.

He sipped at his whiskey, enjoying the burn as it went down, closed his eyes, he will remember the first time he met her, the first time he stops to this town...

-Flashback 4 years in back.-

The sun was setting behind the cliffs adjacent to the village. The shadows cast by the village's buildings gave the whole place the eerie look of a ghost town. Somewhere off in the distance a herd of bison could be heard running across the grassland. The only sound that could be heard inside the town proper aside from the wind was the raucous noise of the piano seeping out from the doors of the saloon owned by man name Gren and his younger sister Julia.

He ran a respectable business that even the Sheriff of the Village would often frequent. As he cleaned used mugs with a white rag, Gren let his eyes wander around the room of the saloon. He smiled to himself looking at all of the people in his bar, and finally let his eyes settle on a man whose shock of yellow hair he never has seen before.

He sat at a table in the rear of the saloon, taking the occasional sip of his drink and surveying the activities taking place in the building. In the center of the room, five men were shooting pool with unnecessary gusto. No crime there. In the corner opposite him, four drunken men were playing a game of poker, their voices slowly getting louder. He might have to step in if the situation got… out of hand.

A girl with brown set down an extra glass, and poured a new drink in, leaving it there for that customer to drink. Blond hair man was about to complain when Gren from counter sidled up next to him.

They looked at each other in silence for a moment. The Gren put out his hand on the table. "Gren is my name. What's yours? " He shook his hand. That blond hair hung to the side of his face, obscuring one eye briefly, seemingly fluttering with every movement of his head. He had a finely chiseled in the jawline. He still looked young - but there were lines around his eyes that suggested an active life outside and with the way he moved about, he wasn't one to sit still.

"My name's none of your business," Vicious then said with a scowl at the peculiar line.

"All right, None Of Your Business, if that's how you want to be, then I'll let you be. So, I know everyone else's in this bar, are you perhaps new in this town?"

"Yes."

"I thought you were. So what brought you here?"

"This question you have going on is making me uncomfortable."

"Please don't harass our new customers," Julia said who were serving drinks to other customers. Glancing up at him from under her long black lashes, "Don't mind him, he likes talking."

"Well I just like making people smile", answered her brother, and they relapsed into silence.

A smile of triumph played over Vicious face, only to die away again into a blank look when Julia and Gren looked at him with surprise as Gren says, "You can actually smile."

And this how he first come to know the man name Gren and his Sister Julia.

Meanwhile in the present

Townfolks ran for their lives in front of the murderer. X decided to let them go. He had no motivation to chase them. But all that didn't stop him from causing chaos in town. To make his presence known in town a good fire was the solution. Incendiary bullets loaded, he shots three of them, one after the other in three different buildings across the street. He purposely didn't target the Bank as he planned to go there later. Right after, he headed in the saloon house. He still wanted that Rum for his trip. Already pissed by the Old man, X still carried his gun in one hand, and if the bartender asked too much questions instead of doing what he wanted, then he'll make sure to have him follow the man laying on the ground outside. He ran his eyes in the whole saloon and noticed that almost everyone carried a gun. Not intimidated, he kicked an empty chair on his way and leaned over the bar. Using his gun he gestured at the man behind the bar signaling him to come closer.

-3 years in Back-

When he got into town, the silence was unusual. The streets were barely awake and there was hardly any movement, save for some unattended cattle, a couple of riderless horses. But when he approached the Sheriff's office, he wasn't all that surprised to see the man himself sitting out front, cigar in hand.

Sheriff lit his cigar and calmly sat back in his chair. "It's a little late for you to be out and about, eh?"

"Did you find something interesting, Sheriff? Looking through those Vicious things?" Said Gren.

"Did he find it offensive that I knew all this time? Tough shit. Like I said earlier, I'd like to know everything about everybody coming into my town. Especially about those that keep to themselves. Looking to stay out of trouble? Don't be so secretive, all the time," the sheriff said. "The most interesting part of the situation is the trouble behind his leave. I couldn't turn him in because he still hasn't done any harm here."

Gren's face remained expressionless as he asked, "Are you sure it's him, the one who single handily fought the popular thugs that come often here?"

"He's a good person but an idiot." Gren was surprised at this claim of the sheriff yet he stays calm. "He's tormented by his past as a killer, Vicious has developed an acute appreciation for life and has taken a vow in his heart to never again kill another person. Despite this, however, he holds his own existence cheap and carries in his heart grievous guilt that prevents him from becoming emotionally close to the people around him. Yet it surprising he's getting close to both you and your sister."

"You actually find a lot about him."

"It was information given by a mercenary in an exchange of good money."

Gren stared at him for a few moments, bristling at the suggestion. "I don't care about his past. The present is the only thing that matters to me."

"I knew you would say that."

-In the Saloon-

"Whatever have you been doing with yourself, Vicious?" she asked in undisguised wonder, as she filled his empty glass. "What are you up to now?"

"Trying to solve the problem as to whether it is possible to get comfortable rooms at a reasonable price." He answered.

"That's a strange thing," remarked Julia; "That's mean you're stopping for days this time?"

"Yes.. that appears to be the case" He answered as he watched as Julia's s experienced hands made light work of the drink, garnishing it with a peel of a lime and a little pink cocktail umbrella. "Thank you," he said. Julia was thinking if he drinking because his mood was good? But, whether he was drinking for that reason or not, his attitude didn't seem to change much.

Vicious sipped his drink and then narrowed his eyes. The Saloon was empty today.

Julia gazed at Vicious. "I'm not really… sure about it, but what about your family?"

He looked up at Julia blankly

"I have no blood-relation family. Only… there was someone who took me in when I was a child but when I was 11 he died." Vicious turned to look at Julia, who had never left her eyes from him, with her brown eyes. Her gaze while staring at his blond hair.

"Don't you feel lonely being by yourself?"

For a second, all of Vicious's movements stopped completely. His pupils shook relentlessly, indicating he was at loss. "To tell the truth, I cannot comprehend… feelings such as loneliness, sorrow or love. I know what those feelings are. Except, I do not know if I myself can feel them."

"It's mean doesn’t your heart hurt like hell when you spent too many days alone... thinking about a person who took you in and died?"

"Maybe" was his only answer.

-Present day in the Saloon-

As Vicious looked at this drink, the sound which had been coming nearer loudly caught his attention. It was the sound of gunfire... "Another fight?" The sound was loud enough to be heard inside the bar as well.

As he was thinking about all this there was a sharp ring at the bell. Vicious moved his chair swiftly in the direction of the door. He saw someone came inside the bar and got himself seated on an empty chair.

Using his gun he gestured at the man behind the bar signaling him to come closer.
Why was he pointing his gun on Vicious? He wasn't sure but he knew he had no business with this man and he already had enough troubles to deal with another. He decides to ignore the man.

Ignored, X thought that something must be wrong in this town. "What's up with these folks? Trying to get themselves killed?" To catch his attention, X decided to shoot the man across him. Maybe seeing that would get him his attention. Reason why he didn't kill him right away was because he wanted to get some information about where he was and where to go. His anger reached the sky but he managed to contain himself. He was now waiting for a reaction. In the worst case he'll just kill everyone here and somehow find his way by himself. He was surprised by how he did not already kill them all. Was he getting wiser or was it just because of the situation? Hard to tell.

Vicious had lit a cigarette and was shooting little darting glances with interest upon this man, who was being the perpetrator of a crime of violence. His age may have been about twenty-five, his dress and bearing that of an outsider. He was a strange little ferret-like man, and when Vicious looked up at him he found his keen gray fixed upon him with an amused expression and followed by a sigh.

Julia looked at a stranger as if he thought he was going out of his mind. She confesses that she was surprised both in his hilarious manner and at his rather wild personality.

No doubt Vicious thought him fanciful. He knew exactly what he was doing, for he knew of the existence of this remarkable gun, and he knew also that one of the best shots behind it. And a moment later Vicious got his gun from under his coat. His eyes glanced over the alcohol bottle in front of the stranger, shooting the bottle with no hesitation, "That is if you want to fight might as well take it outside." said Vicious meekly.
