"War. War never changes."

For two years the inhabitants have lived by these words. After the death of the former King, his children were unable to reach an agreement of who was to succeed him. The oldest child, Princess Fiora quickly lay claim to the throne, as was her right as the oldest. However, with support from many of the higher ups in the country, Prince Darius lay his own claim. He may be the younger of the two, but the country had never before had a Queen rule them. The old ways should be followed, as was right.

Hagiri Kaname
His Cipher Pol Adventures

Text on the old light brown parchments revealed many islands. The map reads New World. A voice in the background narrates, "This world is like no other. Ever brimming with mystery and teaming with danger. Filled with thousands of islands, scattered across the seas."

Ships of different trades sit an achor beside a coastal city of a certain land. "And througout these seas are those who live according to their own rules. Those who seek a life of freedom. And of adventure."

Cannonballs rupture through the barrels of their ships. Trading fires until the entirety of the coast are obscured with smokes and gunpowder. Clamour of people from both sides: those who bear the coat of justice against the men who adorned themselves like enemies of the Gods.

"This is a World of Pirates!"

"VAMPIRATES!!!"

"RETURN FIRE!", A man standing on the balcony of his empire with his arms wide open screamed his hearts out to welcome the arrival of their enemies. A mad he is. The Marines responded in kind.

Somewhere at the vastness of the New World, a merchant ship cut through the engaging waters of this endless ocean. The red sun beaming against the clouds as it sprang forth a divine sprectrum of light. The clouds moved fast, yet the ship traversed ever faster. A man stood at bow of the hull, feeling the gust of wind that dances with his short and black hair. He wears a red jacket with two black leather belts knitted at the tip of those collars.

Another figure, taller than he ever would be entered the scene. He was leaning against the wall of the captain's cabin. His tail wagging in excitement. He was gazing at Kaname.

"Are you sure you're ready for this?"

"I thought you want to be part of my adventure."

The figure revealed himself. Enter Sun Wukong. Kaname turned to him and opened his mouth. "I couldn't protect the man who vowed to protect an old geek if I couldn't figure out yet what I wanted to be. At least allow me to test the skills I learned during the time I spent with you."

"By the way, the names you call your attacks out are filthy. I am not using them."

Hagiri drew the gun Dr. Vegapunk gave him during their visit to Egghead Island. "I am leaving now. Thank you, Sun..."

In the middle of the sea, Hagiri did not wait til his companion docked the vessel at instead, he leaped into the air and began kicking the air multiple times just the way he saw Wukong did it. "Geppo!"

And he just claimed to never use the names Sun calls them out. Minutes after that, he would find himself landing to the range of trees of the foreign island. He gazed at the bounty poster. "War. Never changes.", then crumpled it. The bounty poster sat on the ground as he ground it with his left foot before striding towards the nearby town.

The Red Prince suddenly woke up, his face covered in sweat, his eyes red. The same nightmare happened again; Your demons will not leave you. He didn't know what to do anymore. Was it his decision? Was the empty feeling in his stomach a result of all those citizens dying? Darius laughed loudly; he never really thought about the people. I know what I dreamed about. He dreamed of his sister: Katarina. The Prince's nightmares always were about one thing: resolving their conflicts. In most of them, he killed the only person he loved; in others, he died by her blade.

The general stood up and walked towards the door on the right, his bathroom. Like every morning, he started the day by emptying his stomach. He decided to rebel. His sister stole what was rightfully his. Even though she raised and educated him, he still felt obligated to restore the natural order of things. He had been betrayed; Half the country had aligned with her, while conservatives had chosen to follow the prince. His sister always had the necessary qualities. He always believed she would be his right hand, a loyal advisor telling him what to do when in doubt. Darius never thought it would be the opposite. He, Darius... Just an advisor, a duke... He could never forgive her. Today, conservatives would end this civil war.

With newfound powers at his command, the sharpshooter alighted upon the shore. His feet, graced with a touch of magic, carried him through the forest's verdant veil. And then, with a resolute heart, he stepped forth into the unknown realm, his fate beckoning him forward.

As his thoughts swirled like a tempest, he pondered the events of days past. The weight of responsibility had weighed heavy on his soul, for he found himself wanting in his duties to the people he swore to protect. Yet, the winds of fate had brought him to a new frontier, where redemption lay waiting to be seized. His heart stirred with the hope that even the great Sun Wukong himself might look upon him with pride.

Following the mystical trails left by the land's natives, he beheld the glimmer of civilization amidst the dawn's gentle glow. The ornate embellishments that adorned this township spoke of a monarch's rule. Whispers on the wind had hinted at a kingdom in turmoil, each faction vying for the throne. Perhaps, then, this was his chance to claim the reward, for he needed the gold. Yet, his true purpose lay in upholding the peace and order of this realm, for that was his true calling.

"I will ensure that following my victory on this island, you will be proud of me, Sun."

And he broke the boundary of the forest and the town, the moon and the sun seemed to share the skyline though from different horizons. He strode even further into the innerskirts and his eventual fate would soon commence.

As the agent began to come out of the forest, he was welcomed by a group of armed soldiers. Each of them wore black armor with a tint of red. Each of the soldiers had circular masks on their faces. You had a little slit, an opening at the level of their eyes for them to be able to see. They were the epitome of intimidation in the country, the enforcers. They were the soldiers following the Conservatism’s faction. In this area of the town, they had free reign. None of the newcomers were welcomed, especially not government workers. The government had refused to take their side when Katarina rebelled.

Behind them, Hagiri could see the citizens running into their homes, some remained on the lookout for what would happen next. They feared the army, but they still hoped something could change. Most of the outlanders were taken to jail. This fool better have a good excuse.

The government wasn’t welcome on the island. Prince Darius considered them traitors and allies of Katarina because they refused to take a stance. He made orders not to attack them, but he specifically said not to let any of them into this town. The leader unsheathed his sword and said

- "Decline your identity and tell us what brings you here! "

Hagiri strolled further inland and moments would pass, he would be welcomed by a group of armed soldiers, each wearing armour with a shade of red. The agent would stop meters apart. His locks fluttered against the wind. He gave them a scowl after being asked what brought him here.

"Gentlemen, I came to parlay."

Whether or not the army would take these words seriously, Kaname would draw several metal cards from his holster not caring how the soldiers would react. If the civilians were afraid of them, Hagiri would cause a ruckus.

"You see... I know a certain prince turned pirate who once used weapons like these. Having learned how to throw them, I can guarantee a definite kill if I decide."

As he geared up for the brawl, he lowered his leg and slickly opened his right hand, revealing a deck of cards ready to be dealt.

The nerve of this outsider. The soldiers asked for a simple thing, they wanted the man to declare his identity. They did not want any meddlers in the city. The man with his bravado, decided to completely ignore the inquiry and moved on to something else. Spouting nonsense about a prince and some weapons. As usual, you could see signs that these soldiers were not the smartest. They would not have been guarding an entrance if so. One of them, went past their leader and threw himself at the government agent trying to push him backward with his arm.

- " WE ASKED YOU TO DECLARE YOUR IDENTITY DUMBASS ! NOT TO PLAY POKER WITH US ! ARE YOU STUPID ?! " yelled the soldier that we would now call Soldier 1

At his side, the leader raised his sword towards Hagiri; behind them, a troop of soldiers was already on its way. The commotion was drawing attention. Not only from the conservatists but by the spies of the loyalists too.

- "I repeat myself, declare your identity or go back to where you came from. We would not accept any insubordination in this city." said the leader calmly. His blade shakes from the anger he was attempting to contain.

The agent was at a crossway, he could fight or comply.

Finally, one of the soldiers paved the way for a conversation. Braving the danger the agent would pose, he asked him once more about his identity. Hagiri only chuckled.

"Hehe.", he tightened the grip on his metal cards as the man spoke. "You see, the merchant boat dropped me off here. I could not return to where I came from. Unless of course, you'd escort me to the prince and sponsor a ship."

"Insubordination. I am not part of this nation. I am autonomous."

"And by that, I don't follow any jurisdiction."

Hagiri pulled the metal cards-holding palm to his chest before flicking all of them in multiple directions. He would aim to inflict the 5 cards into 5 soldiers' throats.

"Straight..."

Straight: An enhanced version of Three-of-a-kind and the second technique he learned and named. Instead of 3, he fires 5 metal cards to at most 5 targets.

Cards flew and went to slice the soldiers's necks. They were thin enough to lodge themselves in the slot between the neck and the helmet each wore. To succeed in said action, the agent needed perfect accuracy and a lot of strength. He had both. The soldiers went down without even knowing what had happened and choking on their own blood.

Hell broke loose, other soldiers rushed to the scene, a woman on her balcony let out a guttural yell. Hagiri had made his bed. Everyone saw how he dispatched them. Enforcers were arriving form every direction, nobody was going to ruin the day of Pricne Darius. Suddenly a smoke exploded at the gate and a shadow appeared behind Hagiri. It spoke to the agent.

- " I think you have done enough damage for the moment Agent." began the man by posing one of his hand on the government worker's shoulder before continuing. " If you want to get in, just follow me... We have a hidden entrance... Choose wisely."

Finished the shadow by rushing in the opposite direction, the forest. If Hagiri had followed after it he would have been able to put a description on the shadow when they would be outside of the smoke cloud. The shadow was a man, measuring roughly 1 meter and 80 centimeters. He wore a royal blue cloak hiding any details under it. You could not have known if he had a weapon or an armor dissimulated under it. His face was the same, most of his distinctive figures were masked under a hood. Nevertheless is Hagiri was attentive, he could see the distinctive emblem of the Royal Army on the man's back. An emblem left behind by Darius but embraced by his sister and the Loyalists. They ran for about 40 to 50 meters before the shadow stopped and opened a hole hidden in the ground. The entrance to a tunnel.

Hagiri was able to lodge his projectile against the soldiers. They were no match for the would-be agent. After all, the sniper just recently got engaged in a heated battle in Egghead Island and almost died battling Admiral Kizaru and the CP0.

The other man broke his silence and reasoned with him. He listened before throwing his concern. "I suppose you're not affiliated with Prince Darius."

"Even if it wasn't the case, I would not waste any opportunity to meet the Prince face-to-face."

The agent followed the tracks of the soldier before sensing on their route a presence hiding in a silhouette. "I know someone's in there."

"My observation is Haki is well-known in our organization and even a legendary Sage acknowledged this."

The man revealed himself at long last. A symbol etched by Darius, now embraced by his sister and the unwavering supporters. They raced for nearly half a hundred strides until the shape ceased its pursuit, unveiling an obscured orifice in the earth - the gateway to an underground passage.

"So that's our path?"

Hagiri did not sense any hostile intent. At least for now, his journey towards the palace is at a minimum. "Tell me something about the Prince and the princess, too. I heard rumours of an internal turmoil between the two. How true is that?"

The shadow did not utter a word, the government did not send any help to Katarina either. They sat still and waited for a solution. They were going to ally themselves with the victor of the conflict. The shadow preferred not to speak on their queen. Any agent from the world government probably knew the situation better than most of the soldiers.

If the government had chosen to send an agent it meant that they needed the conflict to end. It was simple. In the next hours, the man would evaluate both sides and decide who should own the power. The shadow begins to descend into the tunnel with a ladder, urging the man to follow him with a nod.

The descent was for 50 meters. Arrived at the bottom, the Shadow lit a torch and began walking on a path. it worked its way for the first 10 meters in a straight line, but then it became spiral-like. Working their way up until a door. The shadow opened it and they emerged inside the outer wall of the main castle of Broc Coli island. They were in Katarina's Palace.

- " Be quiet and discreet Agent, soon you shall receive your answers." they longed the walls for bait, turning left or right in multiples corridors until they arrived before two gigantic wooden doors protected by knights.

The shadow seemed to be an important person; every soldier they met on their way, saluted him with respect. If Hagiri had. keen eye, he could perceive the misery around the castle. The doors opened and the shadow pushed the agent forward before the doors closed behind him. The agent was in the throne room.

Hagiri's swift action against the soldiers, honed from his recent perilous encounter with Admiral Kizaru and the CP0, underscores his prowess as a skilled agent. As he follows the enigmatic man, their exchange hints at deeper intrigue surrounding Prince Darius and his sister. The revelation of a hidden passage and the shadow's silent guidance add layers to the unfolding mystery, while Hagiri's inquiry about the rumored turmoil within the royal family foreshadows potential challenges ahead.

Meanwhile, the shadowy figure's silence speaks volumes about the calculated approach of the government, opting to wait and assess the situation before taking decisive action. Their descent into the underground passage unveils the shadow's influence and familiarity with the inner workings of Katarina's Palace. The agent's arrival in the throne room, propelled by the shadow's guidance, sets the stage for a pivotal encounter, where secrets may be unveiled and alliances tested in the heart of the kingdom's power.

As Hagiri stands poised in the opulent throne room, anticipation courses through his veins, his senses heightened in readiness for the impending confrontation with his elusive adversary. The grandeur of the surroundings contrasts sharply with the gravity of the task at hand, underscoring the weight of the mission he's been entrusted with.

His gaze sweeps the room, taking in the intricate details of the ornate décor while his mind remains focused on the imminent encounter. Each passing moment feels like an eternity as he braces himself for the arrival of his nemesis, knowing that the outcome of this meeting could shape the course of events in the kingdom.

With every breath, Hagiri steel himself, drawing upon the training and experience that have brought him to this pivotal moment. As the tension in the air reaches its zenith, he stands resolute, ready to face whatever challenges may come his way, determined to emerge victorious in this high-stakes game of cat and mouse.

"Show yourself. My awareness Haki knows the moment you breathe.", he declared.

A hearty laugh filled the throne room. Above the stairs, sitting on her throne, was Katarina. She wore no crown, not while Darius and his followers were alive. She preferred to keep her swords on her lap. A perfect symbol to represent her authority. Unlike other princesses, her hair was not braided and she wore no gown. She wore armor, and her vibrant red hair seemed to be in suspension in the air. A real warrior. She inspired respect and admiration from everybody. She had been the best at everything since childhood. Be it Politics, Swordmanship, Poesy, you name it. Her only regret was that she had taught her little brother everything he knew. Forged him into the perfect general to lead her armies. But his pride couldn't see her as more than an older sister. His pride couldn't imagine Katarina as a Queen. SO he decided to usurp the throne.

Her voice, when she spoke, was clear and authoritative "You are the famous Agent, we heard about" she began, "State your purpose or leave, we do not need arrogant people." finished the queen

She was confident the man would answer correctly. The kingdom needed her too. Having someone form the government on their side for the War was a must. She needed someone to stop her brother and she feared she wasn't strong enough to stop him.

As the hearty laughter echoed through the throne room, all eyes turned toward the formidable figure seated upon the throne—Katarina, a warrior princess unlike any other. Her presence exuded authority, her stance a testament to her unwavering strength and resolve. With her swords resting on her lap, she radiated a sense of power that commanded respect from all who beheld her.

Her words, spoken with clarity and authority, cut through the tension like a blade on her lap, addressing the enigmatic agent with a directness that brooked no arrogance. Yet beneath the steely exterior lay a vulnerability, a queen grappling with the weight of responsibility and the looming threat posed by her own brother's betrayal.

As the agent stood before her, Katarina awaited his response with a mixture of apprehension and hope. For in his hands lay the potential to turn the tide of the impending war, to forge alliances that could save her kingdom from the brink of destruction. With the fate of her people hanging in the balance, Katarina knew that she could ill afford to underestimate the importance of securing the agent's allegiance in the battles that lay ahead.

"I never know I was portrayed in fame. I was once a pirate and just became a prisoner of the strongest Agent I know. Yet, he entrusted me to go on my own."

With unwavering determination, Hagiri's gaze remains fixed upon the regal figure before him, addressing her not merely as a princess, but as the rightful Queen of the realm. His words, delivered with a sense of urgency and purpose, cut through the tension that hangs heavy in the air.

"Queen Katarina," Hagiri begins, his voice steady despite the weight of his words, "I arrived on this island pursuing the bounty on your brother's head. Yet, my motivations extend beyond mere riches or acclaim. I strive for peace above all else. And if diplomacy fails, I am prepared to align myself with those who possess the wisdom and integrity to lead a nation."

Pausing for a moment to allow his words to sink in, Hagiri turns his full attention to the Queen, his expression expectant. "Are you the leader capable of achieving such a feat?" he inquires, his tone a mix of earnest curiosity and unwavering resolve.

As he awaits her response, the agent's demeanor remains composed, yet beneath the surface, a sense of urgency simmers, knowing that the fate of the kingdom hangs in the balance.

The Queen was impassible, the Agent had spoken his words. She was surprised by his honesty. It was irregular for Cipher Pol workers to be that truthful. They usually lay in the grey parts of this world, never admitting their intentions. The Agent admitted his regrets in his past, he had been a criminal and now wanted to repay the trust someone had gifted him.

The words were a balm of freshness. The world took note of the drama ongoing on the streets of Broc Coli Island. They had decided to put a bounty on Karius's head. It was time for him to fall from his Hightower. Despite establishing his intent, the agent finished by saying that he would strive for peace more than everything. Which meant that if peace were to be achieved through her death, he would immediately try it.

Katarina was a confident woman; she was a warrior queen; nothing was handed to her, and she hoisted herself to the top. She overcame adversity, it wasn't time for her to falter. The Kingdom needed her more than ever. She was the one who protected their people. the Agent could have seen the refugees inside the inner wall, on the path to the throne room. Karius cares more about the prestige and power of the position than the responsibilities.

- "Am I the leader ?" answered the woman with another laugh "I have been the man since I was born. My subjects are dying in a fight every day. We are fighting for a New Order; it was why the scholars and advisors sided with me. We aren't called the Loyalists for nothing, my dear brother..." She paused " My dear brother is not fit for this position. If you are truthful, I will support you in your endeavor. I will personally fight at the vanguard to permit you to achieve your mission." finished the woman while brandishing her sword.

In the face of escalating turmoil and the looming threat of her brother's tyranny, Katarina remains resolute in her commitment to protect her people and forge a New Order. With unwavering loyalty and her sword raised in defiance, she pledges to support the agent's quest for peace, ready to fight alongside him at the vanguard. As tensions mount and alliances form, the stage is set for a showdown that will determine the kingdom's fate, with the fate of its people hanging in the balance.

"What strategies do you have in mind to confront him?"

"I'm eager to hear any tactics that could minimize the risk for our forces in the impending conflict"

Katarina got up from her seat and walked towards one of the numerous stained glasses behind her.

- "I think you already heard about today's festivities, right ? " She began " My brother, like my father, is emotional. Today is the day our father died, he wants to do something big. For his anniversary, the only gift he wants is the kingdom." Her hands hit the window. " Tradition is that I'm supposed to pay my respect to the old man. " She paused and turned to Hagiri "Our intel says that Darius will launch a full attack then. An ambuscade on me and mine. He wants to use this opportunity to attack both the castle and me. If my commander left the Castle to protect me, they would be able to invade this bastion. If I go without my commander, I have a great chance of not returning..." She advanced toward the Agent " But with you, they are not going to see what hits them. My brother is a coward, he is not going to be here. So we will go to the funeral, win there and march forward. He will send his best soldiers to capture me. If we can eliminate them. The war would be over... What could Darius do alone ? " She said, shoulders tight with the weight of the world, an hand already put for forward in direction of Hagiri " What says you ? Are you ready to protect the Queen and free the country Agent ?"
