Hi, Thriller Bark
I have some insights on what the term Hades, Pluton, and The King of Hell may relate to.
If Zoro directly referencing the Gates of Hades means anything, then it means that Hell is regarded as that place ruled by Pluton.
Why? Because Hades is the Latin Spelling of the Romanized Pluto (Pluton). However, they both mean the same thing.
- Zeus won the lordship of the sky, Poseidon that of the sea, and Plouton (Pluto) the rule of Hades' realm.
How that relates to Zoro and his development in the story... I'm not entirely sure. However, the meaning behind those phrases may indicate that Zoro may become Pluton. I don't particularly like that, personally, because I continue to think that Vivi, Momonosuke, and Shirahoshi are rulers of Land, Sea, and Sky, in the same way that Zeus, Poseidon, and Pluton are.
I would also point out that Zoro seems to have a different sense of awareness as well as a more powerful heartbeat at times like this. Furthermore, since we just discovered that Luffy's own heartbeat is an important factor in his transformation, then it may also be reasonable to assume that Zoro may also undergo a transformation in a similar fashion (meaning... his heartbeat may also be an important factor in a transformation).
