Originally a peaceful and technologically advanced island, Clockwork Island has now been taken over by the Organ Dealing Assassination Group, its inhabitants either slaughtered for their body parts to be sold on the black market or enslaved for manual labour. From this base of operations, Jigra continues to abduct citizens from nearby islands for profit.

Clockwork Island - @Ichimonji
The First Hunt

Clockwork Island was an Island that originally housed a booming and peaceful nation. But all of that changed when a certain organisation took over the island. Using its inhabitants for malicious experiments or just straight up cattle for organs and or limbs to be sold on the black market. A despicable act for only the ODAG found profit and riches by using their fellow man as a trade commodity. Their leader Jirga sat on a throne of flesh that made him millions over the years. But this black stain did not go unnoticed in the North-Blue, how could it? It was the main hub for organ trade besides the grand line. And sooner or later someone would take offence to that. And today someone finally did.

This is not the story of a saviour, a hero or even someone who stumbled by on accident. No this is the story of a professional killer, one who goes from contract to contract. Be its moral compass, black, white or grey. This man would not argue on the work that was given him for such was his loyalty to the hunter's dream.

Walking up the steps circling around the base of the island trying to get up The Hunter had finally arrived. Clad in almost entirely black only his piercing yellow eyes and strains of white hair would move through these dark clothing. As he walked he ran through the faces of the ODAG in his mind, memorizing them and keeping them locked within. In his right hand, he revealed an amulet and made it touch his forehead. A ritual many hunters did before starting their mission, be it for superstition or actual belief. Afterwards, the man would place it back into his pocket walking the last steps before finally entering Clockwork Island.

Clockwork Island #1
Enter the Wasteland!

A technological marvel. A city sitting on top of a tower several hundred meters off the ground. Invasion by sea was impossible. No one had aerial superior. Only elevator and steps were the only entry. Stairs with death traps lurked in every corner. One man braved the stairs.

From the stairs, sunlight broke through. Over the horizon was a beautiful town, raved into the edge of the stairs, slabbed by rock.

The wind blew unabashed. The quiet was too telling. No bustling sounds, no conversation, no commotion at all. From afar, the hunter could ascertain not a living soul seemed to inhabit the once technological marvel. Yet, no signs of war or battle; everything seemed to have vanished.

If the hunter explored, he’d find a figure sitting in the town square, clothes dirtied and ripped, skinny to the bones, back to a the town center building. The figure hummed lowly to a sad tune, drinking away.

A Land Abandoned

The Hunter had arrived on Clockwork Island. Having walked through and beyond the stairs an abandoned town finally greeted him. It was a beautiful town as the mid-noon sun rayed upon it. A shame that there was not a soul around to observe it or so it'd seem at first glance. The man in black figured his first appearance in the world would be one of shock and dismay. It wasn't an exaggeration to say that the man was a bit disappointed if not weirded out by seeing a town devoid of life. As he walked through the town trying to spy a fellow still alive. He'd start to think that God had raptured the people in this town. If the low humming tune hadn't sparked his interest he'd have concluded so. Naturally, the humming stood out in this forgotten place and with nowhere else to go to he followed the sound.

The sound would lead the man in black towards the town square. There with his back to a major building The Hunter had finally found a fellow soul in this area. The person in question looked equally as abandoned as the town that was supposedly his residence. Clothes dirtied, ripped and with a body in a state of malnourishment. Drinking what one would assume to be his final drink in his life, The Hunter would approach the man before kneeling down to a crouched state before him. " I am looking for a man named Jigra and his consorts. Where can I find them?" The man would say with a low and raspy voice, nearing a hoarse throat.

Gehrman's arrival would be rather unorthodox for this single soul for he'd most likely look nothing like any person he'd have seen before. Whether the drunk would accept the hunter for his saviour or the personification of his nightmares remained to be seen. In any event, The Hunter talked straight to the point with this man. He felt no reason to sugarcoat his words nor try to save his life through words and or medicine. If he was asked he wouldn't decline but that wasn't what he was here for.

The Hunters Dream had marked Jigra and his fellow men.

A debt must be paid.

The Gutted Stranger!

The humming was in utter contrast with the sight of the rapture. The man’s. State contravened the fame of technological wealth of the island. Everything was off. The hunter approached what seemed to be a dead man, drinking the last of his life away. Yet, again, not everything was as it seemed.

The hunter inquired. The humming stopped. The man lifted his head up, turning his body to the stranger. As he turned, the front of his body was revealed. Gutted. A large incision was on his lower abdomen, blood and guts hanging, coagulated and dried. The man wheezed - that was the humming picked up by the wind.

The man chuckled, before speaking lowly.

[Dona’] “You’re in the right place, stranger. That man and his consorts are all around us. The question really is, where are we?”
[Dona’] “That we don’t know. Those parts of us may be all around the world right now. Best you leave, stranger. You’ll be the next donor.”

The man struggled to take another sip. If the hunter looked carefully, it was not alcohol - it was medicine. Indeed, every time he drank some of it, his blood coagulated. It seemed to be the only thing keeping him alive, yet the glass emptied, soon begone.

In a place where things were not as they seemed, the man talked about we, us, and around us. Yet, his humming broke no other sound. No sound in the forsaken island.

Before The Hunter laid a man whose body was on death's door. The only thing standing between him and utter oblivion was the drink that was nearing its end. From what Gehrman could conclude this concoction worked the same as his own blood vials or so he concluded at first he couldn't analyze it like this, but its effects seemed potent enough. As evidenced by keeping this man alive with such gruesome wounds. The humming was also revealed to be the air that escaped through this large wound but The Hunter paid it no mind he had seen far more gruesome sights. With a chuckle, the man went on to explain the situation albeit vague and riddle-like. Upon hearing that they were all around them Gehrman could not help but move his eyes around in suspicion for being ambushed like this. But he quickly concluded that he was talking in a delirious state both from his wounds and the drink most likely.

"Where does one go when they're a donor? " The Hunter asked straight to the point yet again for he did not care why this man spoke in riddles or was not supposed to care. But the fact that he was warned he'd be the next donor interested him greatly. It was a lead after all. In this forgotten and raptured town, it was the only straw he could grasp. If only he could get this man to cooperate better but it was to be expected. With such a wound it was a miracle the man was still breathing and alive but his end was nearing. If the stranger would reply with yet another riddle or not give him anything useable in terms of direction or place the Hunter would follow up.

"The concoction is nearing its end, Stranger. What follows next will only be agony before death slowly takes ye. I can end it now before you can count to 2 and the calming embrace of oblivion will rid you of this nightmare. This operation will end tonight, The Hunters Dream have ordained it. However, I am in need of directions. Do we have a deal, Stranger?" The man in black said rather cold as he made a deal with the man before him, taking his life swiftly for the sake of knowing where Jigra and his consorts were.

The stranger if he got a sense of the actual world could take a peek at The Hunter's attire as the handle of a large mace at his hip peeked through his attire. This man in black was armed and seemed rather capable, perhaps he truly could do so as he claimed?

The Gutted Stranger!

The humming stopped as the hunter stated his purpose. The man to chuckle, before stopping himself; it caused his wound to open. The hunter offered his services in exchange for information. He sought information Dona (literally meaning “Donor”) had already given.

With perilous breaths, Dona acquiesced.

[Dona’] “Inside this building, you will find emptiness. Much like my life, not all is what it seems. A switch beneath the rug will deactivate the cloak.”
[Dona’] “Light will no longer refract off the Holy Stairs. Those stairs inside the hut will lead you to what you seek, to our exiled people.”

Dona took the last of the drink. As he moved, the hunter realized this man had no left ear, his left eye scarred and taken. The pain he was in was palpable. Dona looked up and smiled. He had given his end of the bargain. The hunters’ part was wanting.

[Dona’] “One last request. Please count down for us. End my life quickly…”

Dona leaned back. He had a complacent smile. The thought of his end gave him great release. Before the hunter stood a man satisfied, ready for death. The humming continued, waiting for the hunter to count down and take his life as promised.

Assuming, but not deciding, the hunter counted down, the moment he would take Dona’s life, sound of gunfire overtook the area. From all around Dona and the hunter, hundreds of bullets fell upon them from every angle, using the hunter’s own countdown as the signal. An ambush and sneak attack aimed to take both of the men’s lives.

From the houses all around the plaza, rifles had appeared from the windows. They all shot at the same time. Not stopping. A firing range. Dona would be riddled with holes. The riddles were a warning. Dona was forced to be bait in exchange for the medicine, in exchange for a few more minutes of life. The hunter fell victim.

The hunter's bright yellow eyes looked at the dying stranger quizzically. Inside the building behind him, there was a switch below a rug to deactivate some sort of veil. It sounded strange but the information was given to the Hunter and now it was his turn to return part of the favour by ending this man's life. The dying stranger moved his head back as he looked for the embrace of the sun. The hunter in the meantime would unsheathe a crude looking weapon from his back. A weapon in between a cleaver and a saw coincidentally or perhaps with a purpose it was called as such. The Sawcleaver. The weapon would flick open, giving it a much larger reach than one would originally think. And with that the hunter stood up, ready to give the coup de grace.

"One."

The Hunter said heartlessly and as professionally as he could. He'd slash with his saw cleaver quickly and with incredible strength. To the dying stranger and the gunmen around him, it was more like a blur than anything.

41-60: 3. Wall/Tree Level
Attack speed = 30 Arms master vs 17 reaction Thugs

Blood would smear the wall behind the stranger's back in the direction The Hunter had sliced, painting it crimson red. Dona's head would've rolled off his neck and onto the ground. The rest of his body followed as both spirit and will have left behind a bag of bones.

The Gunmen who were aiming at the moment Gehrman was about to slice or in the middle of it would be left without such a moment. And were only be able to strike by the time the man's head was on the ground Or perhaps a few moments prior. Not that it mattered for their salvo of gunshots would soon ambush the Hunter regardless. The main difference in this instance was that the man in black now had some time to react whereas he would not have been able to otherwise.

The sound of gunshots would make the Hunter move instantly out of instinct. He'd dash forward as he'd leap towards the wall, placing his right foot slightly above where the man's head used to be, aiming for the wall. Thrusting his saw cleaver forward he'd aim to puncture a hole into the wall that stood before him.

With the now gap in the wall the hunter would move through it, using the concrete walls to shield him/ obscure him from the firearms. If the story from the stranger held any merit they'd most likely try and stop him from continuing on this path. If they choose to pursue, they'd have to attack him in close quarters, which was his domain.

Gehrman afterwards would assess his body for damage from standing in a firing range, a few lucky shots had scraped and wounded him but nothing life-threatening. He was lucky to have come out of that encounter with as few wounds as he had.

One. With that word, Dona finally slept. Gunfire came next, and the hunter was forced to go inside the hut, wounds bleeding. The gunfire stopped, and the shouting of the thugs replaced it. Directions. They twenty thugs jumped off the windows and approached the hut, guns at the ready.

[Head Thug’] “Stay your course! Come at him from all sides! He must be too wounded to escape! Whatever you do, don’t hit any vital organs until we harvest them!”
One thugs spoke louder than the rest. In groups of two, they converged on the hut from all sides. The hunter had precious seconds to act inside the hut until they converged.

One thug checked up on Dona. He took off a backpack and collected the remaining organs. Two of them pulled their rifles in the hole. The rest broke the windows and the door, guns drawn. Suddenly and immediately, they shot a new barrage inside the hut. No particular target - they aimed to riddle the hut with holes, trying blindly to hit the hunter.

Inside, the hunter could see a rug in the middle of the room. Indeed, Dona did not lie. If he pulled the rug back, there was a switch hidden.

occ: going to take some liberties with the layout of the building since I don’t believe this building has that many windows

Clockwork Island - @Ichimonji
A Land Abandoned

The Hunter had made his way into the hut crouched and hunkered down; he'd move towards the entrance door, standing next to its frame. Moving next to the door so he’d be on the blind side of the attack from the windows. His weapon had reverted back to its regular form with the click of a button. Dona had given him the correct information as the man in black noticed the rug in the middle of the room. But for now, he’d deal with these tugs who had followed him into the building. He’d close his eyes, concentrating on the sounds they’d make. Rustling sounds were perceived by the hunter, they were moving to surround him. An advantage Gehrman thought for now they were divided and he could conquer them. The running and walking would stop as The Hunter could hear and 'feel' one of the goons close to the door, clenching his hand on the handle of his cleaver Gehrman prepared himself for an assault.

The door would be blasted open revealing one of the thugs standing in its frame and firing with reckless abandon. The others too would follow through several windows that decorated this building. Their fire was blind and less accurate than when he stood out in the open, giving The Hunter the ability to counter while they were blind.

The one in the door frame would suddenly spot the destruction of the wall beside him having used the same method of destruction as earlier. However, this time he came out wielding a strange-looking mace in his right hand.

Whether there was a singular gunman or more The Hunter would dash towards all the enemies that were potentially around them. His dash was quick and perhaps moving by blindly towards these men, but in his assault, he'd slash and hack all around him with great precision. The Cleaver was the main origin of this technique. The Mace was left out of this attack.
Gehrman DPS: 41: 3. Wall/Tree Level + B+(2) = 5. Large Building Level

Hack and Slash

An unsightly technique was the hunter slashes with reckless abandon, appearing as if he’s attacking with multiple weapons at once. B-Rank, 41 mastery, 41 str, 41 movement speed

With now, hopefully, a few goons laying defeated around him he’d holster the Tonitrus and grab one of the tugs by their neck as he brought them up slowly. His intent right now was not to end them completely but from the looks of his stance, he’d use one of the tugs as a meatshield. If none of the others would hear this commotion, The Hunter would come around the building towards the back. A frightening and menacing appearance would reveal itself from the corner to these gunmen. A man painted crimson from blood with a cleaver in one hand and a defeated colleague in his other. They’d have to shoot their own if they wished to attack The Hunter.

The Hunted!

Thugs sandbagged the building, firing aimlessly at the threat. Eight were at the door, starting with the biggest. The hunter appeared from the blind spot, attacking relentlessly. They shot their rifles, yet the man’s movements were too fast. Quickly, and convincingly, five lay dead at his feet. 12 left.

Gehrman grabbed a downed thug and tried to ambush the remaining. However, the screams of the fallen, the sound of flesh ripping in the desolate area, was warning enough. All 12 came up to the hunter, forming a crescent moon around him, his only escape the plaza.

The hunter, soaked in blood, spoke menacingly.

[Thug’] “H-H-HE’S A DEMON! F-f-f-forget this! They don’t pay me enough! RUNNN!”
One thug screamed in fear. He doubled back and ran away, towards the desolate town. Six followed; the imprint of the demon chasing their thoughts. 6 remaining.

[Head Thug’] “Stand your ground! They are already dead! Shoot if you wish not to join them!!”

The head thug spoke. He was noticeable because his rifle was the only one that had a bayonet. The six shot at the hunter, even if it meant hitting the body armor - these were not men of loyalty to anyone but their own. Singularly, they were weak, but together, they worked well. They shot in a volley, to the hunter and all around him, in an effort to stop him from running to the side/above.

" A Demon? Heheheh" - The Man in black said with a slight chuckle. Unable to contain himself. From the initial 12 now 6 stood around him in a half-circle pattern, trying to block all forms of evasion. One gunman, in particular, stood out, his rifle the only one customized compared to the others. A bayonet at the tip made him stand out a bit in this group of similarly dressed individuals. Combining their efforts they would be able to fight on terms with this Hunter, but he had gotten them where he wanted them. Out in the open and within his claws.

An observer might've pointed out that the man in black hadn't moved from his position. Drenched in blood from his victims they still laid dead at his feet. And with a reaction to his name the man did but that, react to a salvo of gunshots. Right at the moment when the commander spoke was his opportunity. For his words would encourage his men to act.

The Hunter would not hesitate and kicked one of the bodies at his feet with incredible strength, these sacks of meat were as soft and light as a normal ball to him. The corpse of one of their comrades now came flying at them and those in the middle of this crescent circle would find their salvo strike hit the body, for it came at them at a very rapid speed. The four at the side( two to his left and two to his right) would still find themselves to have an open shot at the man but only for a singular moment. For once he had kicked the corpse it had hopefully created a path, forward and into the fray.

The salvo from the sides would fire and the shots that managed to scrape him in his movement were left ignored for now. But the gunmen would still notice that blood was drawn. Ever so slightly.

The Hunter had dashed inward stepping in so quickly that he was still behind the corpse in momentum, potentially blocking himself from view from those that stood standing behind it. His saw cleaver would click open, increasing the hunter's range, holding more a weapon to the length of a claymore than a regular sword. And with a tight grip and powerful left rotation, the man swung his weapon horizontal. "Rend!" The Hunter shouted as his saw cleaver sliced through the corpse like butter and anything that potentially stood in front and behind it. Attempting to cleave the two gunmen that were behind the corpse in one fell swoop. From the man's swing, an unusual side effect was created as a powerful wind gust also unleashed itself from the swing, blasting outwards, anything and anyone that stood near to the man was swept off their feet. Even the hunter frowned at this development. A first occurrence.

Depending on where the commander stood in this half-circle, Gehrman might've sliced him up just now. Would this unit work as well without its fearless leader?

PS: As you may have noticed this martial art is a bit barebones. I get more inspiration when going through actual combat. So if it's alright with you I'll rp the hunter as he notices a shift in his combat arts. It won't be anything to crazy but actual combat always gives me more ideas than trying to come them up beforehand.

In a semi-circle, the group threatened the demon. However, the hunter thought fast, using the corpses as shields and to disrupt the line. With a feat of another weapon, the hunter claimed three more victims.

The Head Thug saw his men down. The man was sweating. With a new-found look of finality, the thug raised his rifle. Two shots rung out, one for each of the remaining thugs; their bodies fell dead.

[Head Thug’] “I-I-I concede. My life is worth more than this contract. Spare my life, and I shall tell you how to safely get to them.
If the hunter acquiesced, the Head Thug would confirm Dona’s direction with a most important difference: when the path diverges, beat right. Left is a trap. If the hunter did not acquiesce, the Head Thug would run, shooting at the hunter as he went.

Sure enough, flipping the switch would reveal a staircase in the sky. It would lead to two doors. The one on the right had a trail of blood; perverse. The left was untainted, but a foul smell emanated from its dark path.

The Hunter had sliced through yet another two of the gunmen and their comrades. With blood dripping from his cleaver he was about to eye his next target. Yet before he could do so the leader shot his remaining comrades, two bullets each to ease their pain and suffering. Confused but also intrigued, the Hunter looked over to the last remaining gunmen. And with a click on the handle, the Hunter reverted his cleaver back to its short form.
The Hunter shook his head, clearly disappointed at the outcome of this encounter. The last remaining gunmen surrendered, pleading for his life as he valued it more than this silly contract. He’d not plea for survival without giving the Hunter something of value, information to reach his true objective. “You are of no importance to the Dream, speak and tell me what you know.” The Hunter said these gunmen were obstacles in his path but not his destination. Smallfry to the dream and not written in the contract he was given. The Head Thug would give the information that he knew, go right on the path as left will spell certain doom. The hunter nodded as he holstered his saw cleaver on his lower back. He’d move into his pocket and threw a strange-looking coin towards the Thug. “ After aeons, The Hunter’s Dream has been awoken. Spread this tale and pray that one day you do not become our contract. Black, white or grey. The Hunter’s dream does not have a compass, our contracts are a binding vow. ” Gehrman said, giving the thug a parting token and a job. Spread the word of this guild of hunters. Able to do any kind of job whatever its moral compass. For once a contract has been accepted they’d fulfil it at any means necessary.

With that said the man in black continued his mission solo but not before giving the small wounds he had received their required aid. Cleaning, sterilizing and finally bandaging the scrapes and bullet holes he had received. Considering the number of goons he had fought the damage was minimal. A vial was consumed afterwards to dull the aching pain that arrived after adrenaline was lowered in his body.

But eventually, the man stood at the crossroads as he was told by the main thug. He had the choice of left and right. The right was marked by blood while the left was devoid of it but a pungent smell emanated from within. The Hunter decided to take a chance in the words of the Thug and took to the right. But in the grand scheme of things it did not matter to Gehrman. He would’ve made either decision with confidence, fear did not rule his body. Whatever came before him he’d tackle it with the same conviction as always.

The head thug nodded, taking the coin and thanking the hunter. The man ran away shortly thereafter, leaving Gehrman to investigate the hut. Sure enough, the head thug would call out to the rumor of the contracts that felled an island, a Hunter’s Dream. A demon called it awoken.

The stairs led to a path. Gehrman took a right, trusting the head thug. It would pay off, for there was no trap or headship in sight. Instead, the blood lead to a trail upwards a small cliff. The hunter had to climb it. On the top, he would see the real Clockwork Island.

Carved into a ring had been the stairs he came from. Now, Gehrman stood on the rocky cliffs that surrounded the island. If the Hunter would see below, he’s notice the town he had just come from way down below; this was a makeshift Sky Island. It was no wonder no one found it before.

Carved into the upward spiral of mountain was a town. This one, unlike the other one, was bustling with life. The populace was high-end, wearing expensive clothing with regal clothing. Brimming architecture paved the streets. The Hunter’s Dream could see where the money was going. If Gerhman looked upwards, he’d see a palace overlooked the whole town.

The hunter had freedom of movement. There was a river that connected the town and the palace, a road that led to the next palace, and a market bustling with populace with all sorts of conversations.

Gehrman would walk the set of steps that had revealed themselves. They’d carry him to the top going further into the sky than he had expected. Once at the top he’d arrive at the actual clockwork Island. A sky island with the lower city acting as a trap or perhaps a choosing ground for those worthy enough to ‘ascend’. The Hunter had arrived and stood still at the entrance taking in everything this city had to offer. A duality with the abandoned wasteland down below. The difference between the two was vast. It required the hunter to move his eyes left and right frantically, no corner of this scenery would be left unchecked. But he was not here for its beauty. No, he had a job to fulfil. “The duality of man. No place is safe from it. The filthiest of diseases.” Gehrman said, a whisper even more muffled by the mask that blocked his mouth. But this scene struck a most personal cord with the man. The reason why it gave such a strong response was a mystery. Gehrman had a most humble upbringing, his reasons for joining the dream but his own. But a tragic past was not one of them.

The large palace above loomed over him and every citizen in this town. He felt a strange sensation but could not confirm it. He felt constantly watched by someone or something. The Hunter would refrain from going directly towards the palace, using constraint on his desire. For now, the man would wander the streets, heading towards the markets hoping to eavesdrop on something interesting.

He’d holster his weapon within his coat and removed his hat while lowering his mouth mask. Now walking the streets was a rather young fellow with ashen grey hair and piercing yellow eyes. He’d most likely still stand out but hopefully, he’d not fear the people away from him. Fear is a weapon best used sparingly for now knowledge was at the top of his priority.

Night and day. Poverty and wealth. The polar opposites described the town the hunter looked upon. Gehrman surmised he was being watched - he was right. The stairs had a silent alarm system, and the hunter had tripped it. He was not stopped or halted. The man walked the streets without nay a hindrance.

The market was as one would expect. Carved into the middle of town between the buildings, with small tents and caravans riddling the long trek. Many people populated it, the ever growing chatter calling out prices and deals incessant. Gehrman did stick out, and was noticed. Yet, no one did anything. In this city, intro verse and selfishness ruled; they didn’t care about anything pr anyone else But themselves.

As the hunter walked through the market, he could pick up voices scattered.

[Citizen] “My men will bag the 50th body! I will finally be allowed to passage into the palace! All I need is some…”

[Citizen] “With our fair city shrouded from the world, I wonder why our leader Jigra still bows to the Joker. He should just…”

[Citizen] “The guards will find out! Commander Alex is ruthless! They say even his heart is transplanted!
Gehrman heard voices come in and out. He also saw that most of the tents had body parts to sell, and business was booming. Prices were argued left and right, with a promise of modification of self. As the Hunter moved more inward, the guards, stationed around the market, followed him with his eyes.

Eventually, three approached. Suddenly, what seemed to be a wayward cart cut between them. A woman’s hand was placed on Gehrman’s mouth and he was pulled into the alley quickly but gently. The alley was narrow between two large buildings, with only the light from the windows illuminating. The caravan passed, and the guards seemed lost; they had lost sight of him.

From the shadow, a sliver of light from the opposing building revealed a beautiful young woman with short black hair, pearly white skin, and a raggedly hat. Her nose was gone, cut out. The right side of her face was simply blotched with holes. She was missing fingers, an eye, and the smell of blood was rampant with her.

[Doni] “You’re gonna get killed! Don’t you know to show your replaced body part? It’s law! Otherwise… you’ll be thrown below!”

The woman interjected, taking her hand off his mouth. If Gehrman was indeed attentive as a hunter would, he’d notice she had many body parts that were clearly not hers. One of her eyes, her ear, and fingers were replaced, out of proportion. A scar ran down her abdomen, showing a transplant. If he was really meticulous, he’d notice the transplant’s skin color, size, location, and form - he had seen it once before.

It was Dona’s body parts.

Gehrman walked through the streets taking in his surroundings while overhearing some chatter here and there. Only a few things would stand out to him in his reconnaissance. People need to bag bodies to be able to ascend to the palace. The leader Jigra, Gehrman's primary target, answers to someone above him. A new piece of information not within his contract. Interesting. The final piece of information was that something was going on in the market or at least the island. Commander Alex, the leader of the guards, felt like a combat type if Gehrman ever had to fight him. The chances of that were rather high.

From the corner of the hunter's eye, he noticed the guards ever-present gaze. He knew that he stood out but that they'd move towards him so quickly was not something he expected. Did the information from below already reach the mainland? Unlikely. But there was a chance the last one had betrayed his words. It was something Gehrman needed to consider. But for now, he would not jump to a conclusion. The guards would finally approach and Gehrman kept to himself but he was ready to draw his weapon at a moments notice. A cart would cut between them and the hunter was dragged elsewhere. With a hand to his mouth and the motion to keep quiet Gehrman obliged as he looked to the side, awaiting the moment the guards would pass.

Before The Hunter stood a pretty young woman or at least one would surmise it if not for her missing features. A nose, an eye, a finger and the right side of her face filled with holes. She looked like one of those organ transplant experiments alright. There was no mistaking it. She'd speak warning him to show his replacements or he'd be thrown down below. Curious. That's most likely why Doma had been left there. Beaten multiple times as he was left within inches of death. Gehrman's arrival was perhaps a coincidence. She'd move her hand away from his mouth allowing him to speak. "Sadly, I'm without replacements. And I'd like to keep it that way. What is so terrifying below? It's how I arrived." Gehrman would say as he straightened himself to the best of his abilities within this narrow alley. It was after this point that he took a good hard look at the women in front of him.

There was something familiar about her appearance but it didn't take him very long to put two and two together. What Doma lacked she had her skin colour not matching the new piece of skin on her abdomen. Gehrman would cast his eyes downwards to her abdomen and up to her face again. " I see now why he had a hole in his stomach. He exchanged it with you." The Hunter would say, revealing that he knew the man known as Dona. If that even was his actual name.

Gehrman afterwards would observe the woman her reaction to the little bits and pieces of information that he had given her. He wanted to know if he could trust her. And depending on her reaction would most likely sway his decision on that matter. He had somewhere to go. A local would be the best person to help him in that matter. But would she dare it?
