The CW had three seasons of Stargirl, which was developed from the Geoff John's 1999 comic series featuring Courtney Whitmore, a teenage girl who discovers her step-father Pat Dugan is one of the sidekicks of Sylvester Pemberton aka Star Spangled Kid aka Starman.
The Golden Age JSA and Injustice Society fought and Starman was severely injured at the icy hands of ISA leader Icicle aka Jordan Makhent. Most of the original team had died, leading Courtney to recruit her friends Rick Tyler (Hourman), Yolanda Montez (Wildcat) and Beth Chapel (Dr. Mid-Nite) to take on the mantles of the new JSA.
The ISA have a lot of villains including Icicle, Dragon King, Sportsmaster, Tigress, The Fiddler, The Wizard, The Gambler, and Solomon Grundy.
Later, an old foe in Eclipso is introduced for season 2 arc, and a shadow wielder known as the Shade is introduced as a collector of antiquities under the name Richard Swift. The third season has a murder mystery as the Gambler, who seemed to have a change of heart, writes a letter to his daughter Rebecca, only to be killed by an unknown assailant.
The Ultra Hummanite was introduced as the main antagonist alongside Dragon King and Icicle, along with the icy villain's son and parents. The son eventually joins Courtney's team, as he realizes his dad's motivations are clouded in revenge on his defeat at the end of season 1. Even Icicle takes out Larry Crock and his wife Paula (Artemis's parents) which Artemis gets her revenge on Makhent.
The final epilogue has Richard Swift as the curator/tour guide at the new JSA Museum, and the golden age Flash shows up to ask for The Shade's aid after Richard explains to a tour group about the new JSA lineup and their adventures saving Starman's brain from the Ultra Hummanite.
