Egghead is a winter island in the New World belonging to the World Government, which houses the laboratory of Dr. Vegapunk. It also has the label of Future Island and is said to be "500 years in the future". It is located southeast of Wano Country.
Egghead is naturally a winter island, but due to Vegapunk's Island A.C. technology, its climate is now closer to that of a tropical rainforest. That said, the waters surrounding Egghead still display elements of its original weather, featuring freezing winds, icebergs and strong currents that even a fishman helmsman, finds too powerful to navigate through properly. Furthermore, Warm Eddys that rise several meters upwards (to the point of resembling a waterspout) are found in this area due to the warmed up waters coming from Egghead's inland reacting to its external cold waters.

The Scientist & The Sage! - #1 @Gambit@Kaka
A Few Weeks Ago
Enies Lobby suffered losses. Yet, it stood. Stood stalwart as it did for centuries. The Vampirates had invaded the Tower of Justice, finding opposition heavy. Sun Wukong had pretty much repelled the Vampirates single-handily, securing the rare victory for the World Government, first in months. In the battle, the body of Vampirate Azrael, a Lunarian, was taken to Egghead Island, by Cipher Pol Aegis, with nefarious intent. The white Pol, the highest, had noted they had a secondary reason for appearing at Enies Lobby: recruitment. Those three in the upper echelon would have to prove themselves. Prove themselves they did. Yet, the monkey, with a shorter experience rap than Kaku and Lucci, was given another mission to prove himself: Capture or Eliminate the World Pirates.
A Humandrill’s dream beginning to realize through Aegis.
Prove himself Sun Wukong did. In a show of quick dexterity and power, Sun Wukong and a rookie Marine, Kuvira, met the infamous World Pirates at sea. Those who stood above in the old era were dispatched quickly. In doing so, Sun Wukong gave the World Pirates a honorable end, allowing Brynndi World to rehabilitate himself at the last moment. Felled by his own crew, the revenge-driven pirate was no more. A young nakama of the World Pirates, Hagiri, was freed from the captain’s clutches. He who would carry the World Pirate’s spirit. Sun’s name was kept secret, giving the victory to the young Marine, Kuvira.
Sun Wukong had proved himself. Aegis was finally within grasp.
Three Days Ago
The Humandrill’s footsteps caused the wooden floor to creak. The agent walked ip the wooden stairs of the small and ordinary home. As Sun pressed his hairy palm on the wooden door, a cat passed through his legs, caressing the hairy legs of the Humandrill. Sun smiled warmly as he awaited an answer from inside. A voice clamored from the inside, giving permission to enter. Sun Wukong opened the door and stepped inside. Seated at the other end of the room, a large man with white hair motioned for the Humandrill to approach, his eye patch darker than the shadow that enveloped him.
The agent spoke quickly, reporting in.
[Sun Wukong] “It is done. Cipher Pol 0 has confirmed. My promotion to their ranks will be made official soon. Access will follow… sir.”
The man slowly stood up, the light from the ajar door revealing his identity.
The Humandrill placed his right fist backward on his heart and his left arm behind his back. The particular salute of the sect in full show. The older man smiled and responded lowly.
[Leo Burns] “Excellent work, Sun.”
Present - Sea Around Egghead Island
A small ship entered the climate surrounding Egghead Island, hoisting the World Government flag. The winter was strong, with icebergs abound. The ship was simple, with but a few cannons at the side. Small enough for a dozen of so people, the ship showed incredibly dexterity, weaving by the ice with incredible agility. Unlike most ships, wind did not move it forward. At the helm of the ship, a figure stood with his arms crossed, staring at sea. His legs were on a contraption, turned brown. The ship moved by the powers of the Devil Fruit, moved like an extension of the hairy figure.
Enter Cipher Pol 9 agent, Sun Wukong.
In the distance, the famous egg could be seen in the distance. The camera showed the figure, lips moving. However, like a silent movie, nothing could be heard. Behind Sun was a young man. A young sniper with a cut haircut. Sun turned his head towards him at the end of his tale. The Humandrill told the young man of his past, of his first friend and his end. The reason why Sun Wukong was the man he was today, a Sage. The reason why Sun had went to Justicia. The reason why Sun had come to Egghead Island and seek a meeting with Dr. Vegapunk. A proposal.
With a step down, the agent went up to the young man. He placed his arm on the young man’s shoulders and smiled. He finished his story, referencing his friend.
[Sun Wukong] ”You would have liked him, Hagiri. He was like you.”
With those words (Suits reference), the camera showed the ship in fast approach to the island. The ship had a World Government island. Permission to approach the island was sent through the den den mushi. A World Government ship seeking dock on a World Government Island. Time would tell.
What did the agent seek on this hidden island?

Egghead Island
The Sage, the Scientist, and the Rookie! - #1
Days have passed since the end of the World Pirates era. Kaname Hagiri, left without a choice, followed the trail of Sun Wukong, the man who took down his former crew. Both knew that he's still deemed a criminal; but having been in the hides for 2 decades since Bryndi was held in chains in Impel Down, the crew stopped being pirates. Thus, left no records of Hagiri being one.
He followed Wukong even in the heights of Justicia only to wander in the vast terrains of the sky archipelago while the agent discussed matters privately with someone he didn't even see at the time. During this outing, the sniper had been imagining how Wukong defeated a man as powerful as Byrndi and why he didn't arrest him for being part of it. Above this, he had been thinking about the agent's fighting styles and had been trying to do some using his feet only failing many times. The agent called the technique Soru and Geppo but he couldn't yet unveil the secret.
Past forward to the present, Wukong entered the scene and told him the story of his past. The agent was not looking at him all the time talked but the young man listened. And by listening, he sensed the purity of the agent's heart once more. The agony and pain. The longing. But on top of it all, a certain determination to change something he couldn't understand just yet. And ironically, the distance in time since his old friend died was almost similar to his age. It was when Wukong remarked on their similarity that he gazed at the agent. His hair fluttered before they both turned to the Egg-like island ahead.
Hagiri rose to his length, dice and marbles on his right hand. He held them tightly. Gritting of the danger he just sensed.

Egghead Island. An island situated in the New World, under the wings of the World Government. Home to the greatest scientist alive, Dr. Vegapunk. Few knew about Egghead Island, and even fewer knew why it was important, or that that was where Dr. Vegapunk's life work was taking place. Fewer yet, would dare act hostile toward this island, for it held massive importance to the World Government, its technologies and by extension, its power. However, if one was an ally, particularly with a request to approach handled prior, there was nothing to worry about. Sun, an agent of the Pols, with prior clearance taken care of, would have no problems approaching Egghead Island. In fact, he would even be greeted, and then taken care of.
On a normal day. Today, was not a normal day.
Perhaps to Sun's surprise, at least it should be, his approach was not well received, it seemed. Suddenly, a powerful laser shot past the ship and into the water behind them. Upon hitting the water, the laser erupted into a powerful blast. The blast would not harm the ship, for it took place a few meters too far from the ship, likely on purpose. But, the powerful blast, and the resulting waves, did rock the ship significantly. A warning shot. Standing on an iceberg a good hundred meters or so away from the ship, slightly off to the side, was a strange creature. A creature that Sun and his ally would undoubtedly recognize at first glance, but they would be mistaken in terms of its identity. One of the Shichibukai - Bartholomew Kuma.
The true nature of this creature, agents of Sun's caliber would not be aware of.
Sea Around Egghead Island
A World Government ship seeking refuge on a World Government island. A typical transaction, particularly for members of the Cipher Pols, whose intelligence stretched far, perhaps knowing what Egghead Island actually housed. On the humble but powered boat, the Cipher Pol 9 Agent Sun Wukong approached inland, with the new recruit Hagiri. One that the Humandrill noted “looked like” Sun’s friend, the one who set him on this path of Sage. There was no response from the island, an odd thing, the Pol agent thought. Any doubts to the contrary would be shaken by a laser narrowly missing the ship. After the boat stopped rocking, Sun turned to the source. His eyes widened.
One of the agents who manned the ship screamed.
[Agent] ”Sir! The cannons are ready! Should we fire?!”
[Sun Wukong] “N-N-No! Stay the weapons! If that man wanted us dead, we’d already be at the bottom of this cold sea. It’s Royal Shichibukai Bartholomew Kuma!”
From that distance, there’d be no mistaking it. Royal Shichibukai Bartholomew Kuma. Sun stood as frozen as the waters. The agent had capability to move the ship with his mud powers, but now, the ship stood still. The ship stood still as if recognizing the shot and command to stop from a distance. Sun made a gesture to Hagiri to not fire. He then turned to him and pointed to the den den mushi cage.
[Sun Wukong] “Hagiri! Find an open line. Try to get ahold of somebody on Egghead Island. Find out if there is a den den mushi signal in that iceburg.”
[Sun Wukong] “The ship doesn’t move an inch until we get permission or my say-so! This is not a foe we want to engage.”
Forced to be grounded at sea, the ship stayed stoic. They waited to see if they could get someone on the line. Until then, the ship remained respectful of the line the Shichibukai had drawn. Sun was prepared to venture forward, but to put his fellow agent’s lives at risk would need more information. The group had been shut down before entering the shores, a ship of their own allegiance. And now, Shichibukai Kuma appeared, the most out of place.
A calm approach through the icy waters, suddenly erupted by a flashing laser and a powerful explosion that rocked the ship. The World Government agents had thought they would have a peaceful arrival, but it was anything but such. A nervous standoff, Sun immediately recognized the attacker as Bartholomew Kuma - one of the Royal Shichibukai. A powerful man that, if turned foe, could likely sink them at any time. Perhaps more of a fight could be put up on land, but as a Devil Fruit eater stranded on his own ship, Sun was definitely at a severe disadvantage. And so, he made sure there was no violent engagement. Instead, Sun signaled with his hand to stand down. There would be no altercation. They would attempt to get in touch with someone from Egghead. In order to do so, Sun asked Hagiri to try to find an open line. If Hagiri tried to do so, he would be successful. Oddly quickly and easily so. Almost as if an open line was put out there for them to find, so contact could be made.
If Hagiri picked up on that lifeline thrown out to them, he would hear a girl's voice on the other end of the line.
Hello hello~~~
Moshi moshi...~~~!
Do you hear meee~
The girl on the other end of the line said, her voice playfully wavy toward the end of each sentence. On the far off iceberg, the one who had intercepted Sun and his ship, raised his right hand, the palm of his opened hand facing toward the ship. A light appeared and a new laser started to build up. Would he attack again?
Egghead Island
The Sage, the Scientist, and the Rookie! - #2
The ship the agents brought to this mysterious island was fast approaching it. Wukong and his team issued permission to enter the island via den den mushi. Wukong and Hagiri stayed as calm as they could, looking ahead. Until.
[Fwooom!]
A laser was fired past the ship, powerful enough to make the ocean surrounding them erupt! Hagiri turned to the point of impact, grabbing the railings of the boat before shifting to the source as the boat they boarded racked sideways. "?!!"
From there and with the gift he had, he clearly saw who did it and his eyes widened in shock when his discerning eyes captured the strange figure ahead. "It's─"
He then gazed at Sun Wukong. And the latter would issue an order to him. He thought I am not your subordinate to be commanded like that. Not in any way. But he couldn't resist just now. The level of their abilities was miles apart at the moment. And he needed his intelligence to stay alive in an ocean like this.
"Fine. So as long as I'll be held free.", he said with affirmation.
That was just a warning shot as far as I know. I was the one tasked with that back in the day. If we responded violently, we do not know what the future holds, he further thought.
Hagiri picked up the den den mushi and tried to locate any recipient from the island. And he got it.
And as soon as he did, he would report it but not until he saw the light emitting from Kuma's right palm, seemingly planning to fire once more.
No, he spoke to himself.
"Agent!", he called Wukong out. "I can obstruct his attempt to fire that following your command. You're right. Even at this distance."
Sea Around Egghead Island
Bartolomew Kuma. The Tyrant had made a starling appearance on Egghead Island, the home of Vegapunk. While the connection between the two was well known in WG circles, for him to be stationed here, when last he was under direct control of Marines, was worthy of concern. The vessel, controlled via Sun’s powers, stopped dead halt. A nervous standoff. A den den mushi was procured to reach an open line, to establish communication. Hagiri was successful. Yet, the young man urged he could deviate the aim.
Sun stopped that dead in its tracks, knowing the Tyrant’s capabilities.
[Sun Wukong] “No. Keep the line open. If he fires… I’ll stop it. Return fire only after he shoots.”
With a statement or confidence, Sun halted Hagiri’s violent response. The Humandrill sighed. With that, his skin fluttered. By losing his sense of taste, Sun sharpened his eyesight significantly. Life Return. In doing so, Sun saw more clearly the Tyrant. He immediately recognized the man had changed, but for now chalked it up as cyborg modifications. The real ploy came when his eyesight picked up the laser intensity. Should the laser amp up to fire, for that is a requirement and this a weakness, Sun would be able to see and respond a moment before firing. For now. However, the agent concentrated on more peaceful measures.
Sun began speaking loudly, his voice projected through the den den mushi. A weakness of the agent was his kind heart, as Hagiri knew too well.
[Sun Wukong] “This is Sun Wukong with the Cipher Pol 9, requesting permission to dock. We mean no harm! We’re under fire! Please explain!”
Even as he spoke, mud flooded the ship, even around Hagiri‘s legs. Unrestrictive to the young man, yet preparing for the worst if they had to retaliate.

He who Sun and Hagiri recognized as Bartholomew Kuma raised his right hand, the palm of his opened hand pointing toward the ship. A light started to glimmer at the palm of his hand and another laser started to be charged up. Hagiri was quick to affirm that he could defend against the attacker, but Sun told him to focus on establishing a line with Egghead. Hagiri was successful in that endeavor and a female voice picked up on the other end. Her playfully wavy voice was quite inappropriately aloof for the situation, which was quickly escalating. Sun spoke aloud, loud enough for his voice to reach the Den Den Mushi. He gave his name, as well as his affiliation to the Cipher Pol 9, asking for permission to dock. He also made sure to state that they meant no harm. Sun did all the right things. Unfortunately, there was nothing that could be done.
Oh boy, it's Cipher Pol 9...
The girl on the other end of the line said, before a man's voice came in.
This is trouble. We cannot command him to stop over the Den Den Mushi. It only takes orders in person. Sentomaru-kun has made a mistake.
The man said. The girl spoke up even louder.
Mr. Cipher Pol agent, you better run for your life!
The girl said, and suddenly, the laser was fired. Cuting through the air with blistering speed, the powerful laser aimed to collide with the deck of the ship, right inbetween Sun and Hagiri. The two would be forced to deal with the situation quickly... but... the attacker was already gone. Gone from his location, instantly. He appeared above the ship, at least 50 meters up in the air, and the palm of his right hand was once again pointing down toward the ship. On closer inspection, one could see a paw shaped imprint on the palm of the hand. From the palm, a boulder sized paw shaped burst of air suddenly erupted, ripping down toward the ship. If the attack was allowed to collide with the deck of the ship, it would blow a large paw shaped hole right through the deck and the hull of the ship, generating devastating damage. Sun and Hagiri were under full blown attack.

Bartolomew Kuma. The Cipher Pol ship, manned by Wukong’s powers, was in peril. They stood against a Tyrant. Try as they might, the cyborg man did not back down. The line was established, and, to Sun’s surprise, a voice brandished a warning: run! There was no way to stop Kuma? How could that even be? Confused as they may be, Sun tightened his fist, his eyes following the light. The amped up eyesight saw the light gaining light - he knew what came next.
The laser ripped through the air. The explosion made the water erupt. The Pol ship was seen a few meters outside of the explosion radius, rocking wildly, about to tip over. Sun had used his mud powers to empower the ship to move quickly - a feature only a ship powered by a Devil Fruit could do so fast. By watching the light, the agent had the foresight, knowing how lasers operate, to move the ship before firing.
Suddenly, Sun’s Awareness blared, feeling the large man above them. The ship could not dodge this one.
The imprint of the palm appeared on the mud-filled ship. A large boom echoed. The ship was cut in Twain, slowly to be sunk to the treacherous sea. A few meters above the airborne Kuma, Sun phased into view out of a Kamisori, half his body, the lower half and back, made of mud. The ship below had no bodies. If Hagiri would not fight it much, or even if he did, the mud Sun flooded the ship last turn would “swallow” Hagiri and the other Pol agent who manned the ship. A Kamisori made a valiant escape, though tattered clothing and a wincing face showed Sun still got clipped by the resulting explosion.
Sun’s face had turned from surprise to determination.
[Sun Wukong] “Fine, then. Let’s give ‘em hell, Hagiri!”
As Sun came out of Kamisori, he pushed off the air once more, appearing above/behind the small Kuma, hands front like fists. On his back, half of his body out of the mud, was Hagiri - a perfect position for a sniper. Being able to house people inside one’s body had its perks. In short order, as Wukong appeared out of the Kamisori, he came down with a double-fisted punch against the small Kuma’s upper back, eyes brimming.
[Sun Wukong] “ROKOUGANNNNNN!!!”
A terrible shockwave came henceforth, intent on enveloping the upper half of Kuma’s body. Unlike others, perhaps due to its use or the target, if successful, an explosion with smoke occurred. Assuming, but not deciding, it went as planned, Sun’s feet would explode in mud, like a torrent. A unique Soru only a logia could do. Wukong intended to use the attack and resulting smoke to make a getaway, launching himself towards the island. Perhaps Hagiri could buy more time.
They would do as the den den mushi commanded: run.

Rokougan [Final Form] Requirements: 81 Mastery, 81 Strength Description: This is the ultimate Rokushiki technique that can damage an opponent internally, similar to the Reject Dial, but much more powerful. It appears to be two fists held at close range that can damage the opponent with a powerful blast. DPS: S
It happened in an instant. As soon as the paw adorned palm was pointed downward toward the ship, a large imprint of the paw was suddenly blown into the deck of the ship. An instant later, the ship erupted and the palm shaped blast collided with the waters underneath it, blowing the ship apart with a large upheaval of water ripping it further to shreds. As the water receded back into the sea, the wreckage of the ship was pulled under by the strong current. An extreme attack. Sun came flying upward out of the blast zone, appearing out of a Kamisori. The lower part of his body was made out of mud - a Logia-type Devil Fruit eater. A look of surprise and worry turned into a look of determination and Sun readied himself for an attack. It appeared some aggression would be necessary to fight their way into Egghead.
Sun disappeared from his location, appearing behind the attacker that they had identified as Bartholomew Kuma. However, now that Sun had closed the distance, on closer inspection, even he should be able to realize that this was not Bartholomew Kuma. This individual, while also large in size, appeared to be more child-like in appearance, as well as had a fire burning on his back, and a pair of small black wings. Three features that the famous Shichibukai, Bartholomew Kuma, did not have.
When Sun appeared behind this strange individual, the latter's midsection suddenly detached slightly and his upper body rotated 180 degrees. ''Kuma's'' legs were still facing forward, away from Sun, but his upper body had rotated completely, facing Sun. As Sun unleashed the powerful Rokuougan, ''Kuma'' swiped with his hand. The powerful shockwave collided with ''Kuma's'' large abdomen, but only a moment later, the paw adorned hand touched the side of the shockwave, and suddenly, the shockwave was no more. It disappeared in an instant. The leftover force still blew the strange individual away, but the damage was likely decreased. As ''Kuma'' was flying backward through the air from the blast, and Sun started to retreat toward Egghead, the strange individual placed the palm of his hand on his abdomen. Suddenly, a large, red colored, paw shaped bubble was pushed out of ''Kuma's'' body. An absurd power that Sun would not know, but this strange individual had literally repelled the damage that he had sustained from the attack, out of his body, turning it into the large, red colored, paw shaped bubble. He then swiped his hand, repelling the bubble of pain toward the retreating Sun. If the bubble managed to hit Sun, or Hagiri, all of the pain from the Rokuougan would be blasted into their bodies.
But, ''Kuma'' was not done. Suddenly, the fire on his back livened up, increasing in size and turning into the shape of a large dragon of fire. The dragon roared, before suddenly going after Sun and Hagiri, aiming to catch up to them and engulf them in an inferno of fire.

Unleashing the staple technique of the Pols, Sun aimed to give him time to escape. The agent noticed Kuma was strikingly different, younger, smaller. His first impression was this was someone else, until the Rokouygan was repelled by the identifiable Devil Fruit of The Tyrant. Perhaps Kuma had been re-made. The being was relentless, launching attacks in succession towards Sun. The first was a red blob. In response, Sun created mud balll in front of him and jumped off it as the bubble came. If successful, the mud ball would take the attack, allowing Sun to jump away. From behind the maneuver, Kuma exploded with fire. A dragon of fire roared. Sun could not dodge this one. His weakness: fire.
Another lesser agent would have given up. Sun was not a lesser agent. From his stomach, three mud hands came, each holding a dial forward.
[Sun Wukong] “Take this: ANGELIC AXE TYPHOON!!!”
All three dials were activated at the same time: Water, Axe, and Jet. These combined in a spinning force that created a cutting water typhoon, expanding in equal force and size to meet the dragon. The attack collided, a sight to see. The elements worked in opposition to the agent's advantage. Keikaku. The water would evaporate upon meeting the fire, causing great quantities of water mist to engulf the area; both attacks were huge to begin with. Water vapor that shielded both fighters from each other. Did Kuma have Awareness Haki? A few seconds passed.
Where one would expect Sun to solely use Geppo, one would be wrong. As the mist began to thin, clouds appeared in their wake, showing a trail in mid-air that circled around the mist all around. A cloud road had been formed from a Milky Dial. Around six (6) figures of Sun's size and shape were standing in the clouds all aroun. Targets for the incessant machine. Clones of mud made to keep Kuma busy, their true form shielded by the still thinning mist. Sun was not known for his offensive power. It was his defensive prowess and strategic mind that set him apart from other agents.
Sun used Kamisori to run towards the island, leaving behind the distraction in an effort to buy time. Run for ya' life!

The strange ''Kuma'' threw a paw shaped bubble of pain toward Sun, aiming to transfer the pain into Sun, essentially bringing him down while the strange ''Kuma'' healed himself. Sun, on the run, formed a ball of mud, which he used as a platform to jump off of, avoiding the attack while letting the ball of mud take the paw shaped bubble of pain. A dragon of fire came next - the flames on the strange ''Kuma's'' back suddenly livened up and formed into a violent inferno, taking the shape of a dragon of fire. The dragon went after Sun, but the agent was scheming to use the fire to his advantage. Turning around, Sun called forth three hands of mud, each holding a Dial that Sun had in his nigh endless, swampy body. The three Dials unleashed their elements - a Water Dial, an Axe Dial and a Jet Dial. Together, they unleashed a spinning, cutting typhoon of water and air, shredding into the dragon of fire.
But, Sun's intent was not to win the clash. Instead, it was to transform the clash into an advantage for himself. The interaction of fire and water, colliding head on ferociously, resulted in a burst of steam and mist rapidly enveloping the battlefield. As the mist lingered, even slowly fading, the silhouettes of multiple Suns appeared within the mist. A diversion tactic.
The strange ''Kuma'', fully emotionless by the look of it, spun around a couple of times while motioning around with his hands. An array of paw shaped air bubbles was unleashed, shooting holes through the mist, as well as through the clones of Sun, devestating them. But, by the time the clones were brought down, and the lingering mist was cast away... the real Sun, was gone.
A successful escape, not from Kuma, but from a living weapon, recently created.
I... think they escaped?
I sure hope so...!
Send Sentomaru-kun to greet them!
Two voices conversed on Egghead, seemingly aware of the entire situation in real time. As for the strange ''Kuma'', right after Sun had escaped, he disappeared into thin air. A true calamity, appearing instantly, and disappearing just as quickly.
Egghead Island Shores
With a maneuver of masterful strategy, or an ego would beckon one to say, Sun was able to make a narrow escape. Dials, clones, mist, elements, all had to be displayed to escape the clutches of "Kuma". The Humandrill still believed the challenger was Kuma re-made, Many mysteries awaited in the secretive island. Upon clearing the seas around Egghead Island, the agent began his descend, bouncing off the air with Geppo, careful not to use more Milky Dials and attract any other attention.
Sun would whisper within him, speaking to all those inside him.
[Sun Wukong] “We've arrived. Something is wrong! Be on your guard!”
If successful in reaching the shores, the agent would miss a step upon reaching it. The Humandrill would trip and comically fall forward, sand on his face. Perhaps he was exhausted from the fight. Perhaps he was hurt. Perhaps he was a fool. The mud on his back began to contort, and, as if forced open, Hagiri popped out. The agent seemingly knocked out, comically head buried in sand.
A sight of the ages: Egghead Island.

Post his successful escape, Sun would finally arrive to the shores of Egghead Island - his vessel, that is, his personal ship long forgotten and now a wreck at the bottom of the ocean. If Egghead Island was indeed hostile toward him, and Sun had no reason to believe otherwise at this point in time, he would be stranded on his hostile island without any way to get off. A troublesome scenario indeed, but that was something Cipher Pol agents were used to, and Sun was on an important mission on this day.
The first thing that Sun would notice upon arriving to the island was that the waters surrounding it were that of a winter island. Icebergs and cold, icy waters with freezing winds blowing violently. But the island itself had the climate of a tropical rainforest. An odd contrast, though whether that was how the nature here worked, or it was the technology of this island influencing the climate, was anyone's guess. The forest reached out all the way to the shores, and so that was what spanned for miles ahead, from where Sun currently was.
Past the forest reaching from the shores all the way inwards to the center of the island, Sun would see something else. Floating up in the sky, above the center of the island. A giant, cracked open egg shaped structure that towered above the clouds.
An odd island full of mystery and wonder indeed. But, there were no clues. Should Sun traverse the forest by foot? Should he fly up toward the weird structure above the clouds? Should he just wait there on the shores until somebody else showed up? It was all up to the lone agent.
Hagiri attempted to deal with the man who fired at them but when Sun Wukong stopped him the first time, the young sniper felt offended and shrugged his shoulders. Moments later, the source of the attack pushed forward, appearing above the vessel. A laser and a paw attack were launched almost simultaneously but the better agent was fast enough to deal with the attacks. He then engulfed Hagiri and the others in order to be saved from the onslaught. The sniper did not have any time to launch an attack. He just observed everything that transpired thereon.
Such speed! he thought, seeing the manoeuvre of the Sage. Just now, he easily evaded all those attacks and seemingly kicked the air multiple times in order to hover over. It is almost identical to the manner I flick my dice in order to launch numerous bullets all at once! Such a feat could only be possible with tremendous training! This man. This man is above any others I saw in the past except for that one man.
That stranger weapon he brought with him made it appear so easy to escape from that foe. And his devil fruit ability supplemented his fighting styles, storing everything inside him. Yikes!
The sniper continued to observe the agent and was able to decipher two of its techniques, the principles of Rokushiki. The next thing Hagiri saw, Wukong already and himself already escaped from the Shichibukai and safely landed on the shore. He released the sniper and Wukong strode only to trip and comically fell forward burying his face on the sands. "Tch!", the sniper remarked, looking away from the display of disgrace as he cleaned himself up with all those muds.
A clearer sight of Egghead Island slammed on Hagiri's face before he turned to the agent, "How long will you keep yourself sipping those sands monkey?"
Just as he said that, he spread his awareness of Haki with the maximum it could reach, hundreds of meters to say the least. Surrounding the terrains, an abnormal sight past the ocean, a wintery scenery. "This is odd.", Hagiri remarked. "Just now, it looks like a different climate in here. How is that even possible."
Egghead Island Shore
Mouthful of sand, the agent stayed down acting knocked out until Hagiri complained. The young man beckoned the monkey man up. The agent did so, complaining that his name was Sun, not "monkey". Indeed, even those he allied with had some semblance of racism. Even if racism was to overt, it was comments similar to that which cut deep. It was everywhere. Rampant. A world free of racism, of equality. A world Sun dreamed of. Perhaps the Sage Squad could start working towards it today, meeting Vegapunk.
Sun stood up and spoke as he cleaned his fur of sand.
[Sun Wukong] “Dr. Vegapunk is the world’s smartest man. His inventions have changed the world. From this point forth, many things will surprise us, friend."
With a gentle smile, Sun turned to Hagiri. He briefly mentioned the mission to making contact with Dr. Vegapunk, though he did not say why. As eloquent as Sun was, there were many cards he held close to the chest.
The agent suggested a course of action.
[Sun Wukong] "Right. We must presume we are in hostile lands. With the technology we'll encounter, a stealth approach will most likely fail. We also don't want to seem like threats. We must play this one carefully."
[Sun Wulong] "I will lead the pack. Hagiri, you'll be my eyes. Let's go find Dr. Vegapunk."
If there were no protests, Sun would walk towards the city. They'd not risk a sky approach and seem even more of a threat. They'd not risk being sitting ducks. Instead, Sun trusted Hagiri and his exceptional Observation abilities. Sun had a quest of Dr. Vegapnk. He would not be denied an audience.
Sun Wukong finally rose to his massive size, freeing himself from bags of dirt. Hagiri lowered his head, starting at the agent who was about to speak up ─ the mission.
[Sun Wukong] “Dr. Vegapunk is the world’s smartest man. His inventions have changed the world. From this point forth, many things will surprise us, friend."
The last word struck Hagiri the most. He could find any reason why this man, strange of all would consider him as a friend. The young sniper is neither a member of the Pol nor an ally at this point. He was still a prisoner, following the Humandrill hybrid for the sake of survival until such time he got the chance to flee and became stronger than now.
[Sun Wukong] "Right. We must presume we are in hostile lands. With the technology we'll encounter, a stealth approach will most likely fail. We also don't want to seem like threats. We must play this one carefully. I will lead the pack. Hagiri, you'll be my eyes. Let's go find Dr. Vegapunk."
The agent demanded his full cooperation to make the mission succeed and the young man would follow for survival. And as the leader of the pack paved the way for them, Hagiri continuously activated his Awareness Haki to have a clear view of what was up next. He put a scowl on his face before responding to Sun, "I have heard a lot of magnificent things about this scientist you mentioned. My mentor, Gairom talked about him at some point, telling works of wonder this man has created over the years. But he was branded as a common enemy to us pirates."
"That means that he is technically your ally. But why were we attacked by that man I recall to be part of the Warlords of 7?", questions he asked as they walked towards the tropical part of the island.
