An Advent for Phlegeton such was the name of the attack. And like its namesake, the river that'd carry the damned to hades, so would Worwick's ally be slain. Or at the very least heavily wounded looking at how the damage translated itself onto the swordsman's body. Nicholas was done for the count and Hei would turn around, breathing elevated and the man clearly looked strained from the non-stop fighting so far. But he wasn't done yet, not by a long shot. Worwick was still alive, and he carried the fruit, the legacy of his deceased sibling. It was why Hei came all the way to this island after all.

"May the echoes guide you." Hei called as Nicholas fell.

The hunter would turn and eyed Worwick while taking a few steps forward, saw cleaver still in hand. And spoke softly before another sharp inhale.

"Curse your fate. If you hadn't picked up that fruit I wouldn't be here... Fifth form."

The man said as he swung downwards with his weapon unleashing a powerful violent airwave that would split up into 4 different air slashes. Evasion for one would eventually turn into an attack coming from all directions.

"Night terror!"

It'd remain to be seen how a man skilled with a firearm would be able to avoid such a strike completely and without any wounds. After his swing Hei carried on with his stroll towards his opponent, haki began to wrap around his weapon. Should Worwick live an attack to claim his life would certainly come next.

Seeing Nicholas land on his back as he clenched on his shoulder as he slowly faded to his unconsciousness, Worwick watched as warm tear dropped down his cheek. Hiei would then turn to Worwick who snapped out of his moment of grief.

"Curse your fate. If you hadn't picked up that fruit I wouldn't be here... Fifth form."

" What are you on about? ... I didn't pick this fruit ... It came to me fair and square "

With a rush of blood running to his brain, he reached down, clenching his gun aiming at Hiei, and then unleashed a barrage of bullets.

At the epicenter as the two attacks collided, the bullets would do enough to slow down the attack of the hunter but it would make its way through the bullets and strike Worwick. Despite the attack had lost weight it would do enough to launch Worwick off his feet and have him slam into a lampost and drop to the floor.

Though in the shadows not that far a masked man observed but wouldn't get himself involved but watch, revealing it to be Mafuyu who was now hunting.

The Night Terror did its work against Worwick. As the hunter suspected he was weak in close quarter combat. Hei walked forward and approached the wounded member of the gangsters. At this point he'd be the only one left standing, or so Hei surmised at the very least. Blood dripped from his saw cleaver and the man would take one final look at Worwick, the legendary leader.

"Not it did not. It only seemed like that to you but it belongs to me. And for that you can curse fate for having dealt you this hand."

The hunter said while moving his weapon upwards and inhaling sharply. Haki coating the blade this time around.

"7th form, Phlegeton's Advent!"

Hei shouted as his weapon came down onto the ground sending forward a blast of kinetic force towards Worwick with the aim to settle this fight once and for all.

Ergastulum - Post 29

The Hunter had successfully hunted his prey, eyeing them up without playing with them but had them systematically taken out bit by bit in breaking them. Worwick would swallow a mouthful of blood then spit it out before him as he raised himself to his knees as the Hunter observed then took action by walking to his prey.

The hunter would make his way standing over him replying to his response, though unable to move his arm he was defenseless as the hunter prepared and then struck him ending his life.

Worwicks final moments would flash before his eyes, from his early days to meeting Nicholas, then forming the Gangsta Famiglia then later eating something that was foul.

Blood gushed out dropping to the floor face first, thus was the life of Worwick who'd usher the words

" Karma, eh "

Hiei had successfully taken out Nicholas and Worwick.

Hei's body hung over the fallen Worwick. Blood seeped out of the man and the hunter couldn't do much else but stare. He'd exhale and holstered his weapon. His mission was complete. With no hesitation nor a message of peace Hei moved to the end of the street. Sitting on a bench and simply waited. A small tree to his side suddenly grew a rather strange fruit, but he knew instantly what it was. With a leap the assassin would pluck it from the tree and as if on cue a wooden cart pulled by horses would stop in front of him.

A ride from the hunter's Dream had arrived and gave him safe passage out of this power void. Hei had no real interest in it beyond his original agreement. His employer perished and soon the hunter known as Hei would as well.

For this was most likely his last contract with the Dream. In the ride home he'd have plenty of time to think through his next option.

Ergastulum - Act II - Post 1

Following the assassination within cold blood two families fell like dominoes, then the city took it into its own hands by contacting the Zodiacs for explanations and advice. Their response was to begin a lockdown to prevent anything further from occurring, which the family heads after paying their admin fees for support followed. A week had gone by, Ergastulum civilians and the famiglia felt the loss of not just one but both famiglias. Still saddened that the famiglia they least wanted to ransacked was no more, the Cristiano's which was the liked famiglia at first soon soured with the community so not many tears were shed.

Upon the lockdown taking into effect immediately, anything leaving and arriving would be halted no matter what means necessary and any form of transport.

The question was still on many lips as to who took the Cristiano's and Gangsta's? ... Where was they or them? ... The city mourned its loss still asking for questions they likely would never get as the information was limited to those in the know.

A week had gone by since Hei's attempt to leave but not everything went according to plan. Once inside the cart he found a care package from his partner in crime, Doni. It was a briefcase with a letter attached to the handle. The Hunter found it odd and therefore opened it, reading the contents while the horse ridden carriage continued to move.

Darling.

I hope the message reaches you in time. Word got out about your personal objective within Ergastulum and our ulterior motive with it. I don't know who or why but our communication got intercepted. Even with all our precautions. The Dream is now aware of our attempt to defect we cannot longer prevent this snowball from rolling. Inside the briefcase is your preferred way to fight instead of that souring Hunter Dream's way of doing things. I hope it all reaches you in time and that you are able to claim that which you seek.

Hei would open up the briefcase and found a suit, his fire arm and his signature katana inside and 3 dials. None of them were noteworthy or to write home about, but it did cause a slight chuckle for the Ex-Hunter. With a few clicks he'd close the briefcase once more. He'd have to hurry and get out of here, within this cart he was a sitting duck. Sadly, the world was already ahead of him.

An explosion happened in front of the moving vehicle and both Hei and the driver were blown off the road and into a nearby ditch. Through luck and perseverance Hei managed to get out by the skin of his teeth.

All of that happened a week ago and since then he's been on the run. Hei now found himself on the outskirts of the city hunkered down within the town's underground. But he knew he had to try to leave eventually. The man stood up and prepared himself, donning his suit, holstering his weapons. The 3 dials clicked on his belt as if they were decorations for it. With his hair tied up Hei would move up to the ladder that'd lead him to the outside.

"Alright. Time to get out of this mess of a city."

Now without his hunter allegiance Hei found no need to operate with his last name any longer. Going forward Zack Hayfield would take the scene.

Ergastulum - Act II - Post 2

The remaining famiglia held a meeting of the families with certain items on the agenda, famiglia's arrived one by one. Each arrived with their own security that was told to stay outside as each of them was separated with bulletproof dividers. A huge dining table was in the middle and each famiglia was shown to their chairs by the butlers with their name cards placed on the table as the head of the table was listed as governor. The man or woman responsible for the very lives of Ergastulum of those who weren't part of the famiglia. With two famiglia's down, there were no representatives of the Cristiano's and Gangsta's.

All the famiglia head bosses were seated as the door behind the head of the table arrived, it was none other than the governor who walked in though before taking his seat he'd speak loud enough to have all the head bosses hear his very voice.

" I thank you all for attending, I hope all your businesses are doing well. I am also saddened at the very loss of the Gangsta's and Cristiano's .... Anyways I seek this audience as to what are you going to do regarding this matter of Hunter's Dream and its very representative? "

He'd then make his way to take his seat, though before any talk would be followed he'd take a moment before continuing ... " I have prepared us a meal, so we can proceed with the main agenda after some food " ... he'd say with a smile.

Uranos Corcisa the leader of the Corcisa Famiglia, Daniel Monroe of the Monroe Famiglia, and Gina Paulkee of the Paulkee Guild would stare at one another as Uranos would give off a stern expression ... " Apologies sir, I must also include the Hunter Dream's very own hunters Nagumo, Quanxi and Mafuyu are still present and are awaiting in the sitting room. They didn't depart despite all that happened. We have been in cahoots with Hunter's Dream who have deemed them surplus as of this moment until they finish their duties. "

Hearing this the governor had an expression of shock and then smiled hearing Uranos' comment as did Daniel Monroe and Gina Paulkee.

The politics had begun regarding the events, the loss, and the aftermath.

Zack would return back to the streets of Ergastulum. A new expression upon his face and with his hair tied into a bun that pointed upwards. He was still wearing his dark hunters suit but this time was visibly armed. Moving through alleyways and hidden paths the youth would try to make his way out of the city. His excommunicado from the dream was imminent and the man had to make sure to defeat the hunters that were present here. If he didn't there'd be hell to pay. But for now he kept his senses up and simply looked around for anyone suspicious.

He was public enemy number one at this point. Fleeing this city without making noise seemed impossible.

Fortunately he now had something to make that work. But that'd reveal itself in due time no need to throw all your cards on the table just yet.

The mafia heads discussed what they'd do with Zack while the man himself in the meantime looked for a way out.

note: If I may give a tip. Always give the player a nugget to build upon. Your post only gave information to an event Zack isn't anywhere close to or present.

Ergastulum - Act II - Post 3

Meanwhile, the head of the famiglia's all was under one roof, another event was occurring elsewhere as he had returned onto the streets from the outskirts. Hei had returned now with vigor under his expression, swiftly moving through alleyways and hidden paths with a new agenda and a new look. As he made his way through these various alleyways he'd be spotted by a couple who were startled and immediately contacted the various parties looking for them. It was now Hei vs the very city of Ergastulum, though they wanted Hei for various reasons.

News had now spread, and ears and eyes were everywhere on the lookout enough to warrant attention by those who expressed to clean the streets and the families who were discussing this very matter.

The governor hearing this as well as all the heads all would ride the same brainwave all saying the same words. " What now? " then the governor expressed sending Naguno, Quanxi, and Mafuyu. Hearing this they would grab their weapons, expressing a smile.

" Quanxi, Mafuyu, and Naguno all head out as the last spotted sighting of one Hei was here. Now I want you to - " ... his words would be cut off as the trio then made their way to confront Hei, or what was believed to be Hei. Each made their way to three hot spots of likely destination of the path he was taking.

And then it happened, one of them spotted him and screeched the car by drifting right behind him.

" Oi Hei, your excommunicado now. Your life is now forfeit " revealing it was none other than Mafuyu.

Zack moved through the streets of Ergastulum. Holding his cigarette in his mouth as he observed the car screeching past him, his eyes simply followed. Through the car window, supposedly, Zack found out it was Mafuyu who had found him first. And from what he shouted at him, it seemed the young hunter was excommunicado now. A faint smile appeared upon his face as he put out his cigarette with a twist from his foot.

"That was quick. The others not here to back you up?" Zack would say as he drew a sword from his holster.

The weapon once from its scabbard would trail the movement of Zack's hand until it'd meet the ground, a strange force radiated from Zack. If Mafuyu looked closer at the young man, he almost saw a completely different person, his strength vastly higher than a few days ago.

"You guys should've defeated me when you still had the opportunity. " Zack said as he walked closer to Mafuyu as a sinister feeling overwhelmed the area he was in.

"Things won't be as easy now, with me finally able to get rid of that dumb code name. Say hello to Zack Hayfield!"

Upon catching up to Zack, who Mafuyu still called Hei and calling him excommunicado would reach to grab a flare gun and point it upwards and shoot into the skies alerting everyone. The man who once went under the name Hei had been found and is at large but more importantly his location, Quanxi and Nagumo would take note both smirking as they would follow suit.

Clicking his neck then getting in his stance ... " So you going by a new name now huh? "

A flare was shot up in to the sky, alerting the other hunters to Zack's found location. While the red-hot ember was flying through the air, Mafuyu would notice that his opponent drew a sword. Nothing too crazy but a regular mundane katana. Mafuyu would dash forward and with a slight flip position himself for a Phlegeton's Advent. Sword crashing down onto Zack, but the trained fighter quickly replied with an attack of his own. Sword held parallel to his left arm, the tip pointing away from his elbow. "Flash Thrust." Zack said as the two attacks collided with equal power and might, cracking the surface they stood upon.

Locked within a power struggle, the two fighters searched for supremacy but neither would find it within this exchange. But while sparks flew off their metal blades, Zack muttered a single word.

"Room."

The man nearly whispered and before long a transparent energy surrounded the both of them. But nothing out of the ordinary seemed to have occurred. Mafuyu would find no ill effects on his person, nor would he notice any change in scenery or an alteration in the surroundings. It might take his eyes off what was happening before him and perhaps lower his guard. Whether Mafuyu would take his eyes off of Zack for a single moment or not did not matter much. For he'd probably notice the man drew a firearm from the holster on his hip and took aim towards his abdomen. It was here that the true nature of this room would be revealed. Zack's mouth moved, but no sound would arrive from his lips.

"Calm Shot."

No loud bang, no snappy fireworks, but a single sharp pain that'd appear to happen nearly instantly from Mafuyu's point of view. Sound was a key factor for most fighters in this realm to try and avoid a gunshot. For a bullet travels faster than sound, but without it, how would one find the right timing to avoid? Observation haki and incredible reflexes were key factors in such a calculation. One would hope Mafuyu had decent physical defences and agility, if not he'd be bleeding from his abdomen soon.

Mafuyu who was now coming down with force under gravity, would collide with the incoming attack from Zack, which would have the two swords clang and flicker some sparks. Both Zack and Mafuyu would struggle for supremacy though neither was giving the other any inch instead Mafuyu would use the sword to create a backflip and land on his knees. His focus still kept on Zack not batting an eye, taking a deep exhale ... " Okay " would be muttered under his deep exhale.

Zack would mutter a word as a strange feeling would encompass the area like a dome but was transparent, Mafuyu eyes that glowed in crimson would see the area surrounded but wouldn't be aware as to what was happening. " What the ~ "

In the middle of Mafuyu looking around feeling uneasy as to what was happening, he took his eye off Zack, and in that moment Zack was gone with Mafuyu's eyes glowing crimson barely able to react to the sneak strike. Swinging his sword at the direction of the incoming strike coming from Zack, " Fifth Form: Night's Terror "

It was an instant but Zack had Mafuyu think and feel something that was unusual for him, becoming the one who was the hunted. A trickle of sweat would glide down the side of his face a little faster than normal, his eyes gauged at Zack. Wondered just what happened, leaving Mafuyu open but that would happen, the brief spar had lasted a few minutes enough time for the other two to arrive upon the scene. First came Quanxi followed by Nagumo.

Nagumo would stare at Zack and comment, " Mafuyu got to him first, i expected it would be you Quanxi " ... but it was here Zack would do the impossible.

Blood was slightly drawn, but Mafuyu's reflexes were just enough to allow for a parry, one that might've saved his life, honestly. Pushed back and with a solid bruise on his abdomen, the hunter pulled himself back on his feet. It was here that the others finally arrived, first Quanxi and then Nagumo. A reunion of some sorts, but this time was different from before. That night, those fights had pushed him to his limits both physically and mentally and from those experiences a new warrior arose. Even his haki had been elevated by it, as it often does in life-threatening experiences. Zack didn't really address the new arrivals and simply lowered his stance, but he did mutter something that was audible this time.

"Isolation."

The man said, as the room he had set up a few moments ago retracted back towards him, did he cancel it? Again, neither of them would notice something odd about him, nor would he gain a boost in power. With his right arm upwards, he'd point his gun towards the air, while using his left to point his blade directly towards the 3 hunters. If one of them was keen enough, they'd notice a black blur moving upwards. Had he fired his gun? It didn't make a sound, nor even a click from him using the damn thing. Besides that, nothing happened except that Zack dashed forward almost immediately afterwards with blurring speeds, dashing through and arriving behind the 3. They'd note that the man, again, made absolutely no sound. Even the taps his feet would make against the concrete were deleted from his person, like a phantom, the man would vanish from his location. But luckily the hunters would be quick enough to follow him to some extent. Behind them, he'd swing with his katana towards the air, sending out an air wave to engulf all of them at once.

Hardly a deadly move, but was there perhaps a reason for it? For now, they had to deal with this strange devil fruit powers that worked more to disorient than bestow any actual attacking power.

Ergastulum - Act II - Post 6

The pressure was on Mafuyu, who was right now being played like a fiddle by Zack after revealing his devil fruit powers. He had no idea as to what was occurring as he never heard of Zack consuming a devil fruit since their last exchange, whilst he stood there panting whilst his body began to heat up, and frustration was about to flood his composure.

Something odd would occur as Zack raised his gun upwards with a black blur, bewildering the trio who were left confused yet on edge, though their main fear would come true as Zack blitz his way behind them to launch an attack. The trio would struggle in keeping up though noted his movement but would have not much of a means to counter.

The air projectile that was launched from Zack would showcase his higher mastery that would surprise the trio launching them off their feet and sending them back, rolling on the ground and having not enough time to even counter the attack. Mafuyu who was now feeling the pressure intensify, his rashness would come to the forefront as he grunted by punching the floor and then staring daggers at Zack. The trio showed signs of shredded clothing, visible cuts with blood trickling out and gashes. Mafuyu would get back to his feet, clenching his sword handle tightly. Without getting into a stance he'd then charge toward Zack with frustration getting the best of him, taking his sword extended on his right side to swing with force to his left.

Zack's air cannon was met with not much resistance. A surprise for the young fighter, had he grown that much since their last encounter? His weapon moved to the ground yet again, tip pointing to it, as he ended his motion. Steam still radiated from the single katana as the man observed his opponent that was losing his calm. Zack couldn't help but let out a satisfying smirk when Mafuyu rushed to what his untimely defeat.

Mafuyu entered his attacking range and swung with his sword with all his might, aiming to cut off Zack's head. The sword flew, and Zack with an incredible display of reflexes leaned backwards, forcing the weapon to pass just above his face. The only thing Mafuyu would be able to cut were strays of hair on the man's head. However, while this swing was in progress, Zack would point his gun to the air and fired once. Again, a sound that Mafuyu or the others wouldn't be able to hear. But it was something that the others would be able to see play out. Mafuyu, however, wasn't in such luck. This bullet flew up into the air, meeting the one he had fired earlier. Zack had fired it so that it was only now coming down towards the ground, displaying his ricochet technique.

The bullet that fell from the sky was now redirected and regained momentum, flying straight towards Mafuyu's spine. The randomness factor made it extremely difficult to be traced with mantra. Secondly, the quiet nature of it made it extremely hard to track. And perhaps more importantly, with Mafuyu still in the middle of his technique, the man's back was wide open.

Ergastulum - Act II - Post 7

Mafuyu was rash and naive in attempting his attack, he went hong-go aiming to at least peg the man down. Though what w not in his equation with his mind clouded in rage, Zack had not only dodged his attack but then took his gun out only to fire with no bang. Meanwhile, this was happening Quanxi and Nagumo called him a fool as he was being played like a fiddle. Though the duo took note how Zack took out a gun and fired but not a single sound was heard just seen, greatly shocking Quanxi and Nagumo who could feel the pressure.

Their surprise was to come true as the attack from earlier came back to haunt Mafuyu with a gunshot right into his shoulder who was hesitant yet oblivious to the attack. Blood would splatter from his back as he landed on the ground face first, he would roll then crawl backward shocked as to what just happened.

One down, two to go. Zack thought to himself as Mafuyu dropped to the ground behind him. The man was heavily wounded but still very much alive, but the shock dealt to him might be enough to call this a day. Up next was Nagumo who threw an air blade towards Zack attempting to slice him up from a distance. But the man reacted to it with incredible reflexes, replicating Nagumo's attack with one of his own. Zack's transparent field faded when he did, sound returned from his person.

From Zack's sword, a cannon of air was released, attempting to pierce through the storm of slashes. Unfortunately, it wasn't strong enough to shatter it completely but it did soften it enough to decrease its lethality. Moving up his arms, Zack defended against the remaining slashes, revealing only a few very minor cuts. It was as if he had cut him accidentally with a kitchen knife, very minor wounds. Holstering his blade, Zack would change mags on his gun, it wouldn't be visible from Nagumo's distance. But he was changing rounds within his gun, to what end?

With new rounds, Zack now dashed forward, unsheathing his weapon again as he did. Once near Nagumo he'd pierce his blade with incredible strength. His weapon now sporting a dark shine.

"Assassin's Thrust"

A mighty strike with his left aimed to damage Nagumo or keep the pressure on him. With his right he'd fire his gun slightly to the side, aiming at nothing in particular.

The bullet flew and what initially seemed as a random act quickly became more apparent. The bullet, if viewed in slow-motion, would start to curve and go towards Quanxi from her left side. The round had a slight curve towards it and flew around Nagumo, straight towards Quanxi's hip. Would she be able to see through it?

Nagumo's attack would meet with Zack's attack with sound slowly coming back alerting Nagumo and Quanxi who was stunned at first, Quanxi would look left to right and then click her fingers beside her ears. Though the attack that came from Nagumo had some damage giving him the first of the trio having one up on Zack it was minor but still had him take advantage yet still Zack was keeping an ace up his sleeve. Though what they were dealing with was unusual for both who for a mere moment had no signs of hearing and now hearing returned to them. Both of them instantly realised this was Zack's doing, with Mafuyu's moan being heard in the distance. Coming to the conclusion that Mafuyu must've felt this handicapped with pressure both of them sweating at what they just witnessed and were dealing with.

Nagumo would backtrack then look at Quanxi, " You feel it as well don't you? " she replied " Yeah, he's got an ability that fades sound then brings it back "

With a moment of Nagumo backtracking and then looking at Quanxi had Zack reload his mag for his gun and then bombarded his way toward Nagumo, charging his sword and offense to new levels. Nagumo would then dash towards Zack to meet him head on thinking that with sound returning he was now going to take the lead, then swing his arm in a cyclone manner that would attempt to cleave the head on strike, his attack was also supplemented with the addition of invisible aura.

" First Form: Oblivion Strike "

The user dashes forward at blinding speeds and slashes continuously in a horizontal cyclone pattern. Unleashing a cyclone that rends and cleaves anything in its path. (first form wind breathing) - B rank 51 mastery 51 str 41 movement

It only took a second, the cyclone slash would be shattered to pieces as Zack's strike would have Nagumo ricochet backward as he grunted barely keeping his grip on his weapon. Zack then would take his right arm and unload by firing his gun that would curve to the right side of Quanxi who became fixated at what just happened, but her instinctive reaction would have her just in time to defend against the incoming attack.

" Third Form: Inner Storm "

Quanxi would swing her weapon from side to side releasing a compressed air blast aiming to sway the aimed strike away from her but would instead collide with her weapon that would send a shock of reverberation

The user unleashes a whirlwind by swinging their weapon strongly to the side, unleashing an outward expanding air blast. Sweeping those standing next to them off their feet./ C-Rank 31 mastery 31 str

Feeling the tremendous might of power that was overflowing, her fingers throbbed in pain, with Nagumo still grunting in pain as he got up they both would perform their next action in sync. Both charged showing their aura of resolve dashing at tremendous speed with Zack who'd keep eye on them enough to coat their weapons with darkening sending a thrust aimed at the torso of Zack.
