Serperior could do as a Light Screen/Reflect/Coil/Leech Seed stall-ish seeing as Serprior Overgrow had not much use compared to the MT and Contrary that took up a notch
i prefer ingame pokemon to have offensive sets, as there isnt much you are gonna face that will require sets like this lol

despite having some of the best unova pokemon, my best one was probably the minccino; as it had skill link and surprisingly did alot of damage

Lol, today I had a Vespiquen mass outbreak... Decided to shiny hunt for a bit since we all know how rare female Combee are. Plus, I didn't have it in my dex yet. No shiny charm (obviously) got 1 in 15~ minutes.

This was a problem otherwise and wall Infernape
That thing taught me that fire types are weak to ground. (Okay, maybe i had heard it before, but Hippowdon got me to remember it). I just brute forced it with fire blast and healing items.
Gen 4 was my first gen, so i didn´t know how to do a proper moveset. I basically soloed everything with my Infernape, and thus always ran out of PP, so i kept higher pp moves. I also didn´t like drawback moves, so CC and Flare Blitz.
My final moveset i took the elite 4 on with was Ember, Flame Wheel, Mach Punch and Fire Blast. I only had 5-8 PP for Fire Blast, so i would spend 1 or 2 on Berthas Hippowdon, and would then use the rest on Cynthias Milotic and Garchomp.
I didn´t know what coverage was. I think during that entire playthrough i used only 2 TMs. I was exited to see that machamp could learn Flamethrower, and i taught my Staraptor toxic to help with catching pokemon. Most other moveslots were used for HMs anyway.
i did a normal playthrough of black 2 a few months ago and used serperior; it gets like no good moves
I think the Serperior i had during my first playthrough still had tackle at the elite 4 because it didn´t have better options. The only other normal type move it learns via level up is slam with 75% accuracy. I don´t know why i didnt even give it the HM strength. I just dug up my old save file, and i guess i just didn´t want move overlap with my Conkeldurr.

The new games have been very fun, but its clear that they were very rushed.

i took it extremely slow. I got the game on launch day, and i finished the story last week. Before i even started going for badges i assembled my team, including three shinys. I burned more than two weeks masuda breeding to get a shiny charcadet and finizen, and was lucky enough to find a wild shiny mankey while hatching eggs, else i´d have had to breed for that, too. It took me 3000 eggs just for the two.

i picked tepig the first time i played black/white, i got to the elite 4 and i literally couldnt beat it with my team; so i restarted and picked one of the others thinking Emboar/other members of my team was the problem

i was very young, gen 4 was also my first actual pokemon playthrough (i had blue and ruby but hardly played them & wouldve been even younger when i had). I couldn't beat the league in that game so a relative of mine gave me a high level hippowdon, a mew, a darkrai and a level 100 mewtwo; i still lost multiple times as i taught them things like HMs or weak moves

i beat the league yesterday, went to Area Zero and within 10 minutes i found a shiny Golduck

A meh design imo. But I saw its stats the other day and the moveset. Absolutely ridiculous lol.

Same here, just saw it passing by while scrolling yesterday. It can learn, flamethrower, dragonpulse, draco meteor and hyrdro pump from level up. And it has a unique move called hydro steam which has the following effect.

"the user blasts the target with boiling-hot water. This move's power is not lowered in harsh sunlight but rather boosted by 50 percent. "

That sounds like Scald but better without any drawback :poggers:
I can't wait to see how the tiers change after the PokeHome becomes a thing, wonder where Landorus is after the impressive Great Tusk who's the current Landorus in the tier

I played a lot of them when I started uni, especially gba ones since they are easier to mod. Never finished one because of patches etc…
The ones I played on NDS were pretty much the ones with added difficulty.

i generally beat the elite 4 but generally end up stopping after that; even if there is much more to the game
