INSIDE THE CASTLE
When the soldiers arrived at the interrogation room, the commander told them to confine the individuals in segregated rooms and conduct interrogations until they could gather information about their identities and the whereabouts of the missing guards. This technique tried to solve the conundrum of doubt surrounding the strangers and the guards' mysterious absence. Following the commander's orders, the soldiers promptly and methodically followed protocol by placing the individuals in separate enclosed locations for extensive questioning. The Commander's tone conveyed a feeling of urgency, emphasising the important importance of precision and detail in the interrogation process in order to uncover vital evidence that could perhaps untangle the intricate web of secrets intertwined within this perplexing circumstance.

OUTSIDE THE CASTLE

When patrolling the area, the princess and her soldiers purposefully chose the less secure back of the castle, where the cliff's natural fortification gave only minimal protection. As they approached this location, they noticed signs that unauthorised people had been frequenting the area and using the rarely utilised stairs. "Contact the guard quarters immediately and notify all personnel of the presence of intruders inside the castle. Instruct them to properly investigate the entrance to this stairway from the king's hall," the princess commanded, her voice urgent.
Realising the gravity of the threat, the princess looked to the general for help, her previously placid demeanour now laced with dread and anxiety. Following the general's fast answer, she urgently transmitted the information, "This is an emergency issue. It appears like we are dealing with a breach coming from the cliffside. Ensure the safety of the royal family. I will meet with you in the specified meeting rooms."
With her instruction clear and her resolve firm, the princess and her entourage moved quickly to meet the mounting threat and protect the royal household.

Being led inside one of the castle’s interrogation rooms, the other being occupied by his fellow disguised guard

Well formerly disguised at this point

One of the men internally humored, it wasn’t an entirely unexpected outcome. It probably was overly ambitious of a play for them to have infiltrated a kingdom with tenured guards and simply replace a few with no one noticing. After all, no matter how mundane or incompetent some of the original guards may have been. They were still seen and heard day in and day out and as such their voices and routines would become something memorized

Doubt, no matter how small started to creep in. And once that snowflake of doubt started, it was very easy for it to gain momentum and begin a slide into an avalanche. Was this a suicide mission for the jump? Did the new person who just strolled up to their encampment so casually, sell them out to Ilusia Kingdoms royalty for a payday or for his own personal gain? Preposterous….but then again, nobody knew who he was. He was an unknown quantity to them all

Such thoughts and fears orbited his mind without reprieve. They polluted his thought process and brought cracks upon his formally indomitable spirit as a member of the Revolutionary army

To think this was all some kinda set up from the beginning! That bastard walked in and used all of our careful planning and preparation over the last few weeks and months for his own selfish gain. How dare he use such heavy handed methods and outright lies to get the castles attention, there’s way too many guards focused on us. He’s basically pointed a giant spotlight on us….and brought the top general and the princess out into the open….along with so many extra guards

Soon he realized, it was playing out as the stranger had said it would earlier in the day. They were the distraction force but also constituted as scouts, with the kingdom in such disarray lately anything out of the normal would be scrutinized far more heavily. Which would require more man power but there are only so many people in the castle and to gather those necessary forces would require taking them from other places around the castle

Meaning, right now is the most vulnerable the two kings are ever gonna be. Crazy bastard actually pulled it off, guess I gotta apologize for doubting the guy when I see him

"This is an emergency issue. It appears like we are dealing with a breach coming from the cliffside. Ensure the safety of the royal family. I will meet with you in the specified meeting rooms."
Hearing the princess relay her message, the two undercover watchmen’s eyes widen at the declaration. Panicking, they took a few steps backwards till they were out of sight and hurriedly turned to where Yama and Hack hung from the window sills, in a panicked and hushed whisper they relayed the news

“Oi, we have a problem. The princess noticed some tracks at the backside of the castle and is really suspicious. She jus issued an emergency message and wants the royal family secured”

Hearing their words, both Hack and I realized we were on a severe time crunch and had to grab them now. Ever so gently nudging the windows open a few inches simultaneously, we both crept upon the window sills and rushed forwards. Securing the lone guard in reverse chokehold until he slipped into unconsciousness, I caught him before his body could hit the carpeted floor and propped him up against a bookshelf next to the closet

“Aight, time for you to vanish idiot son”

Quietly stalking over, I wrapped my hands around his neck and squeezed tightly. A few seconds later his eyes shot open in panic and fear, he tried thrashing around to make noise and alert anyone. Unfortunately I had my body stop his, my knees keeping arms securely pinned to bed to restrict his movements. Another few moments and his body went limp as he joined his guard in the land of dreams, seeing this I hoisted him over my shoulder and moved to the window. Before remembering to go back and grab the den den mushi from the unconscious man and slipped it onto my pocket. Walking outside, I made sure to close the window behind me as I leapt back onto the wall that connected to the tower, Hack landed behind me not a second later, the old man securely held under his arm, making sure we both squatted down to keep from being seen

“Good job man, let’s drop these idiots off with our guys and get the people the captured and get tha hell outta this place. I stole one of their Den Den Mushis so we could get some info on where they’re keeping everyone”

“Good idea, otherwise this will turn into searching for a needke in a haystack as they say”

Nodding to him, we crept over to our men and handed the two kings over. Shakily they received them but knew it was their time to fulfill their objective and bring the mission home for us

“Hea, now like we said get em onto that boat along with tha guys in that corridor. And get going, Haxk and I are gonna double back and grab the stragglers and we’ll be right behind yall as soon as we’ve got em. Head to tha boat now”

Reaching down, I gently opened up the wooden latch that led to the corridor our men were at. Making sure to keep my voice as quite as possible, I relayed our success

“Objective secure, we’re a go. Exit the corridor and head out with these guys and leave on tha boat”

“Cmon Haxk, we’ve got a few good men to rescue”

GENERAL'S POV
After receiving a distressing message from the Princess, General wasted no time in embarking on a mission to ensure the king's safety. Sprinting to the nearby room where the current king was expected to be, his heart pounded with a mix of anxiety and determination as he pushed open the door, only to be met with an empty space devoid of regal presence. Undaunted, he dashed towards the former king's room, the echoes of his hasty footsteps reverberating through the palace halls. When he reached the vacant quarters, a shiver ran down his spine, signaling the somber realization that both kings had become targets of a nefarious conspiracy.

With a solid resolve, General immediately shifted his focus to unraveling the mystery surrounding the monarchs' disappearance as he traveled to the exact location where the Princess had discovered a crucial clue that could potentially shed light on the unfolding mystery. Concurrently, while maintaining a secure line of communication with the Princess, he relayed the unsettling news of the monarchs' disappearance, keeping her informed of the alarming developments.

PRINCESS'S POV

When the Princess arrived at the majestic building with her loyal guards by her side, she stopped in front of the grand windows that adorned the kings' chambers, marveling at their magnificence. In this serene moment of admiration, she noticed two mysterious figures cloaked in shadows, stealthily carrying what appeared to be a pair of people towards the tranquil riverbank that embraced the edges of the lush island.

To her complete surprise and shock, her secure communication device buzzed with a call from the diligent general, informing her of the shocking disappearance of both revered monarchs. The weight of this revelation pressed heavily on her heart as she realized that the events unfolding before her could be profoundly related to this mysterious disappearance.

Her keen intuition and astute deductive abilities kicked into high gear in an instant. Putting the puzzle pieces together with incredible speed, she realized with a surge of determination that the people being whisked away by those enigmatic shadows were none other than the missing kings themselves.
With a sense of urgency and resolve, she wasted no time in informing the general of her groundbreaking discovery, sharing her conviction that she had found the missing kings. Instructing the loyal general to meet her at the rendezvous point by the majestic river cliff, a steely resolve settled over her, preparing her to confront potential adversaries and bring closure to the enigmatic disappearance that had cast a shadow over the kingdom.

Creeping up to a corner of a corridor, I peeled around it. Seeing the expanse of the hallway barren, I breathed out a slight breath in relief

“Seems like tha coast is clear for now man, we gotta make this quick tho. No tellin how often they check tha kings rooms or what could be happenin to tha guys they restrained”

I whispered over my shoulder to Hack, to keep him up to date on the current events as well as using the small talk to hopefully assuage any concern or stress that may have taken root within his psyche

“It would seen so, plus with how that princess seems to be so observant and the general too. I’m concerned for our comrades in this expedition”

Smirking to myself about his manner of speech, I responded

“Exactly, so let’s get a move on. Also, you talk so proper man, relax hahaha”

As I quietly laughed, we crept through the corridor, mindful of where we stepped to avoid creating any extra noise or attract any unwanted attention. Especially out in the open as we currently were

“Still tho, I’m not inclined to searching this whole fuxkin castle. So soon as we find a guard, we force em to show us where the holding areas are, them bring em with us to make sure it’s not some bullshit, then knock his ahh out and we all get the hell outta hea. I wanna sleep already”

Firmly nodding his head, hack silently agreed and followed me down the hallway

When the general noticed the mystery persons rushing along the hallway with a victim in their arms, his sharp eyes focused on their unusual traits - one towering individual who resembled aquatic life. As it dawned on him that they were the perpetrators of the kings' kidnapping, a rush of concern and steadfast determination ran through his veins. Every heartbeat echoed the urgency of the events unfolding in front of his eyes. The gravity of the situation weighed hard on his thoughts as he realised the seriousness of the threat posed by these strange beings.

Without missing a beat, the general quickly communicated critical information to the princess via a secure communication channel. He made it apparent that he had recognised the invaders and was following them, methodically documenting their travels in the hopes of discovering more partners. Urging the princess to remain hidden and cautious, he told her to keep a close eye on the passage leading to the cliff, looking for any signs of collaboration with the offenders from prospective allies hiding in the shadows.

As tensions rose and the chase began, the general's strategic approach and unflinching devotion to safeguarding the kingdom became clear. The intruders' elaborate web of deception fuelled his ambition to arrest them and put an end to the royal family's agony. The general demonstrated great valour and leadership in the face of adversity by his fast thinking and resolute actions, prepared to face whatever obstacles arose in order to ensure the safety and well-being of everybody under his command.

“Aight buddy, let us know what we wanna know and you’ll make it home to ya family tonight, deal?”

I spoke to the guard Hack and myself had…commandeered, he leaned himself against the wall, trying to press himself closer and closer into the stone of the walls. Not wanting to betray the King but also not wanting to die

Clicking my tongue at his terrified state and looking to Hack at my side, I stood up and ran my hand through my hair at his stubbornness

“Cmon man, we ain’t got all night hea. You tell us what we need to know and you’re more than welcome to leave, I give ya my word we ain’t gonna do nun to ya, right Hack?”

I slapped Hack on the chest to try lightening the mood and get him to respond

“Of course! On my honor if you answer our questions, we will bring no harm to you and yours. We are on a virtuous mission for our brethren—“

“YOUR brethren, I jus got hea doggie”

“You’re right my apologies friend, we appreciate your help tonight”

“All good man, let’s jus wrap this up so we kan be on our way and get sum sleep”

Reaching up with both hands I stretched and let out a loud yawn, this mission had taken longer into the night than I had originally planned. But it wasn’t entirely unexpected, we were hastily invading the king of this island castle and kidnapping half of the royal family, in honesty it should have been this hard

Shrugging to myself, I returned my attention to our “captive”

“So what’s it gonna be man, you value these snobby ahh nobles over your family? You really think that they kare bout you and yours? You’ve gotta know that son is a fuxkin moron and isn’t fit for tha throne, his daddy might’ve been a man worth following, but you know as well as I do that those genes clearly skipped a generation”

Keeping my eyes trained on him, I figured I might as well let him know

“Decide quick now, we ain’t got all night and this is a one time only limited deal. Ain’t no take baxks, what’s it gonna be? All you gotta do is show us where they keeping tha guys they arrested tonight, we’ll do tha rest…..”
