Physical Description:
Jade is of average height for a dwarf and has a large head and tail like all of them. She has bright blonde hair which is swept to the right side and wears a marine hat on top of her head. She often wears a dark dress and gray shoes but can wear other outfits occasionally; including a coat and scarf in winter and a top and skirt.


Personality:
Jade is all about innocent justice; she will help them even if they are considered evil by other people, as long as she thinks they are good and not truly evil. She is quite naive but is a good person at heart and wouldn't do anything that hurts people unless she didn't realize.

Background:
Raised in the Tontatta Kingdom under Green Bit, Jade had a peaceful early life living with the other dwarves; however, this would soon end one day.

While away from the Kingdom with several other people they were captured by pirates, being young and not very experienced they were easily caught and held captive in a cage. The leader was a powerful pirate who had quite a lot of members of his crew.

After several weeks of being captured the pirates headed to Sabaody Archipelago to sell them to the Slave Auction House. Before they could reach it, they were attacked by the Marines; during the battle the other Dwarves protected Jade as she was a lot younger and not as strong.

Once the battle was over the marines investigated the cage and found Jade crying among the corpses of the Dwarves who had protected her. Marine Commander Henry Belle took pity on Jade and bought her back to a Marine Headquarters with them. Initially quite shy and running away whenever someone neared her, she eventually grew close to the Marine Commander and several other Marines.

Jade kept thinking of returning to the Kingdom, the Marines were nice to her, but she knew she couldn’t stay forever; some of the newer recruits also kept picking on her slightly. One day she decided to leave, getting on a merchant ship from the island the Marine base was on she tried making her way back. However, she didn’t get that far before the ship was attacked by pirates, the ship was quickly overtaken by them and she was confronted by the pirate crew.

Remembering last time and how weak she felt she tried standing up to the pirates, she managed to take them by surprise and take out a few of them but the captain of them managed to stop her. She was then tied up along with everyone else who was on the ship. The captain decided he is going to execute her and anyone else who had fought back; he started by shooting and killing some of the merchants. He eventually reached Jade, aiming his gun at her she closed her eyes and heard a gunshot; she then waited for the inevitable pain.

Which never happened, she opened her eyes and saw the Commander Belle standing in-between her and the pirate captain. She looked around and saw that the Marines had snuck in and took down the pirates from a door to the left of her, however there hadn’t been enough time to stop the captain from shooting so the Commander had jumped in the way to save her. The Marines took down the captain as she ran over to the Commander who lay dying. He turned to look at him her and with his last few moments said that he thought of her as his own daughter and to always be good, “there is bad in the world, but anyone can be good too”. He then died as Jades tears fell onto him, the other Marines crowded around and lowered their heads to their Commander. Also seeing herself as his daughter, Jade takes his surname; Belle, to remember and honour him.

Taking the picture of her and the Commander which he had carried for weeks as well as his Marine hat, Jade left and made her way back to the Tontatta Kingdom. She was greeted by the entire tribe who had been worried as they had had no idea what had happened to her and the other Dwarves. She told them about what had happened, showing the picture and hat as well. Using the final message from the Marine Commander; she made the decision to join the Marines, not for revenge or to protect just the innocents: to protect anyone who needs help or can’t protect themselves.


Several years after joining the Marines, Jade had made it up the ranks. She was met with a lot of resistance when she had first joined; they had lost a marine commander Belle and had gained a female dwarf who had taken his name. She had been taught a bit of swordsmanship and other skills while at the marine base so built up her skills more training with the other marines in training. At first, she was treated poorly; the marines were quite racist to people not human, but over time after showing she could learn and was strong since she was a dwarf; attitudes changed.

One day she was taken into an office; the office was filled with lots of high-ranking Marines who had come to the base for a meeting with her. They were there to talk to her about Henry Belle, feeling like there was more to the story than they knew; they had come to find out the full story and talk to the only dwarf in the marines as well. Jade sits down and after being asked to tell them what happened she tells them everything that happened; from her being captured from her home by pirates, to Henry dying for her. After listening to her, a few of them didn’t believe her and accused her of killing him and trying to infiltrate the marines. She slowly tears up after hearing them accuse her and she starts crying; they stop accusing her and decide to take her at her word and believe that she took his name as they thought each other as father and daughter.

Several days later, after a phone call from the commander-in-chief, Jade was on a marine battleship and was headed to Marineford; she was asked to come there since she was the only dwarf and so she could see the pride of the Marines. Once she arrives, Jade gets off the ship and heads towards the building. She meets several Vice Admirals and other high-ranking Marines; including Admiral Kizaru, who she thinks is quite odd but can tell he is very powerful. After several days Jade heads to another marine base which trains her better than the one before since it has more marines of different ranks and people to help teach.

Now being at the rank of Commodore and having slightly more leeway being the only member of her race in the marines, Jade was now able to access information that the lower ranks couldn’t; statistics on marines, information about certain projects in the World Government and more. Jade was a follower of Innocent Justice, she would save anyone she believed to be innocent no matter who they were, pirates who didn’t do anything bad and was there just for adventure she wouldn’t capture. This made her not too popular with the World Government as she would frequently ignore orders and do things which was against the way of the Marines to save people, or to stop people from being too injured by stopping a fight.

Searching through some paperwork at an important marine base for something to help her write a report, Jade found a report which caught her eye even though she couldn’t see the title. Taking it out she looked at it and found out it was a list of prices and numbers for the Slave Auction; the list included races she didn’t know much or anything about: but her own race was on it. Shocked and feeling betrayed she keeps looking through the report and at other things she finds about corruption, evil things the World Government has done etc. The World Government and Marines weren’t there to help everyone; they were there to help themselves and the ones they felt who matter.

Jades entire view was shattered; she had been with the Marines for years and although she knew some of the Marines and members of World Government were bad she didn’t think it was to the extent that it was a small amount that was good and just. Jade then quits the Marines and finds the Revolutionary Army; having had several dealings with them before, she was at first not accepted but overtime joined them and became a high-ranking member of the organisation to protect the innocent.

Physical Description:

Sophie is a human of average height with long lavender hair. Wears mostly formal clothing, her most used outfit is a pair of dark trousers & boots, a white shirt and a dark red jacket.

She can have a fairly stern expression but its also somewhat common that she has a more relaxed one. A long sword in a simple scabbard is on her hip. Depending on the weather or environment, she wears a large coat over her jacket, a lavender scarf or studded gloves. There is a tattoo of a purple 'plus' symbol that has a triangle point on both sides of the middle line on the back of her right hand.

Only sometimes wears her dark purple thin-framed glasses or her hair in a long ponytail.
Personality:
Sophie is a very curious person who likes to learn useful skills and gain useful knowledge, which is why she spent her entire childhood being taught stuff. She is also a very hard worker, spending all her time either doing her own work or helping people with theirs. She is basically a workaholic, doing it so much that it negatively affects her and she has to have people make her take a break etc. She is also very pragmatic, doing things based on there realistic usefulness: this combined with her skills/knowledge means she can quickly see what job needs to be done first or what needs addressing before anything else. While still fun and can relax, she used to be even more cheerful etc., creating a wall after the incident as she needed to be serious to survive and wanted to get stronger. The main reason why the wall has been broken down overtime is due to Jade but she also came to realize she might not recognize herself anymore if she just focused on being strong.

She is seen as a very good leader due to being taught leadership skills and the fact she will never ask someone to do something she wouldn't, or at least the very least try to do. Sophie is very observant and can see important details even from just a glance. Despite never really acknowledging it even with the amount of time that's passed, she has yet to really come to terms with what happened with her Clan. While she hates the World Government she knows that just destroying it will cause many problems, so is very supportive and really wants to help the Revolutionaries goal of replacing/changing it. Although Sophie is quite caring and doesn't like to see people she knows being hurt, she won't stop them from fighting as they have their own reasons for fighting etc. The only reasons she would stop them is if they were hurting innocents/going too far or if they were getting into a battle they can't win etc.

Background:
Early Life
Sophie was the second child of the Yasshou Clan's head. Her older brother, Charlie was 2 years older than her. The clan had been the creators and teachers of the Lineal Sword Style for many generations. They lived on a decently sized island in the West Blue called Oshim; where the clan was well respected and had places of leadership in the largest villages. As a child of the main clan, Sophie was expected to be a great warrior and continue the style.

While a disappointment at first due to preferring to do other things, she eventually started training and taking it seriously after a long talk with her father. He explained that as long as she used the style, nobody could then say anything about her doing other things as well; he wanted her to be happy and do the things she loved. Due to her very young age she mostly trained her body with training tools designed as toys and wooden swords. Charlie was much more into training but was sometimes a bit overzealous and tried to do things he wasn't ready for etc, even trying to get her to join in sometimes. During this time her parents had two other children, her brother Harry and sister Wendy; he was around 2 years younger than Sophie while she was around 3 and a half years younger. She trained with a few other kids but most people who came to the island to learn were adults so she didnt interact with too many people aside from her siblings and father until later on.

After noticing her eye for detail and interest in learning about the world, her mother started teaching her how to write/read different languages, how to manage money and other resources effectively and various other things. While she didn't understand all of it, she enjoyed learning about it and managed to somehow fit everything into a somewhat manageable schedule.

Adolescence
Until she was 12 life was pretty much the same most days, wake up and do morning stretches/exercises then have breakfast. Do some training drills, with or without a sword. Work on a subject that her mother has been teaching her. Practice/revise other topics so she doesn't forget then have dinner. Spar with her father or Charlie. Do some more drills. Clean or do other chores. Free time for a few hours then have evening meal. Work on a subject or revise or practice with a sword. Free time and/or family time and then bed.

Sophie didn't spend much time in the actual dojo or practicing with others but Charlie did. They were quite close until one day after going and being with their father all day, he grew distant and spent his entire time training; even doing it way into the night. Both him and her father wouldn't say why or where they went. By this time Harry was well into learning the style and training too so she just started sparring with him instead of Charlie. Her father started to spend a bit more time with her as well, not just when training but during her free time as well.

A few months after Charlie became distant, a group of pirates came to the island. Her father greeted them and found out they weren't there to pillage, they had learned about the clan and the sword style and several of them wanted to learn. After testing them, many were found unworthy and denied training. This caused the captain to order his men to attack, but there was too many warriors for that to be successful. Sophie mostly protected Harry and Wendy rather than fought. After defeating them and putting them in chains, her father now had to decide what to do with them. A lengthy discussion followed with Sophie being nearby talking to some of the people who fought the pirates. A shout got everyone's attention, Charlie had tried to execute them but their father had stopped him.

A group of marines eventually came to take them away. Despite many wanting him to be banished for going against the head of the clan, he was only lightly punished and had to be near his father or a senior warrior at all times for a while. A week or so after, Charlie came to speak to her; the first proper conversation since before that day. He still wouldn't talk about it but he talked about other things such as father isn't fit for leadership and how he wishes to leave to explore the world. At first she tried talking him out of these things but overtime she gave up as she could see how much he had changed and realized he wouldn't change his mind. The incident brought multiple people to come to the island, some just for somewhere safe to life and others to join the clan and start training. Among them was a tall man called Vara who already had some skill in swordmanship, he became a good friend of Sophie's over the next couple of years.

Several nights she thought she heard moving and someone sneaking about the house but was never able to find anyone. Others reported similar things but nothing was ever found even after it persisted for quite some time. Charlie wasn't as distant anymore but still didn't see eye to eye with their father, ignored their mother trying to help and spent no time with their younger siblings; as he was still too busy training. Sparring with him was like actual combat, he only showed concern if she took a really big hit or just when he won; as she stood no chance against all the training he did. Aside from these few changes, her life remained relatively unchanged for over 2 years.

At 17 she was already a warrior of the clan, but wasn't allowed to join in with some things such as big meetings or certain 'high level; training. Sophie didnt mind to much as she was still happier doing other things, her mother had run out of things to teach her so had got various people from the clan and settlements to teach her instead. Harry was very into training and being a warrior but also liked cooking and several other activities, while Wendy was a bit more like Sophie; only doing it because she had to. Vara was now a senior warrior but spent time doing more than just clan stuff, helping to build, fix things or just generally help where he could. The clan and island was prospering and had both grown quite a bit, the clan's main home was now a very large town with a port; allowing it to start seeing trade from other islands.

One day she was awoken early by her father and was told to follow him. He took her to a part of the dojo she had never been, under it; having to pass through a large door with a symbol on it. Once they had gone past several rooms he stopped at the one right at back that had the same symbol on it. He then told her the truth about the clan and sword style, they channeled the power and spirit of all who came before them; creating a link that got stronger each generation. They could also use this 'link' to empower their body and techniques and perform various feats; but it could also backfire and come at a cost if not treated with respect or used without caution etc. Its why they test people and why they wait so long to fully explain. Many people know that its not a normal style of swordmanship, but its hard to prove and can be explained in various other ways.

Shocked and feeling kind of annoyed that he didn't tell her anything, Sophie asked if this was why Charlie changed. She didn't get a straight answer so guessed there was more to it than just this. Due to how far she had already come, she had the choice to continue or not; and he would have most likely told her even if she had quit before coming this far. Deciding to not continue, she went back to the same lifestyle although with slightly less sword training; very happy with how her life was going and where it might lead. And that's when it all came down around her.

A while after she was told, a big group of ships came towards the island. Thinking they might be pirates, her father had them prepare just in case; but it was actually the World Government. Relaxing and greeting them, the person in charge and others ended up in a meeting with the senior warriors and the clan head. Most of the people on the ships were not Marines but instead members of Cipher Pol. Sophie went about her day normally but ended up near where the meeting was after a while. Cipher Pol knew about the special nature and wanted to teach it to enhance their agents and later on general Marines. Once it was obvious he wasn't going to say yes for many reasons, they threatened him and basically gave an ultimatum, teach or be destroyed; as it was deemed too dangerous unless it was under their control. Her father still said no.

The agents not in the meeting went from being polite and normal to attacking and destroying in a matter of seconds, their superiors using a den den mushi after surrounding the clan leader. The Yasshou Clan and the other inhabitants fought back, with Sophie also joining in but was also looking for siblings and parents. She found Charlie working his way to their house to get their mother so she helped him out, but it was too late; the agents had already been there and killed everyone. Going into a rage at seeing his mother's body, Charlie ruthlessly attacked any enemies nearby and headed towards the meeting hall. Sophie eventually pulled herself together after crying, as she knew she had to find Harry and Wendy. Although not as powerful as some of the higher agents, she was easily able to take on most of them or create an opening to escape. Making her way to the main area, she eventually found Harry trying to protect Wendy with the help of several injured warriors.

She quickly made her way towards them until she realized who they were fighting. Vara was now wearing a suit like the other agents and killed one of the warriors as she watched, too stunned to move. Screaming "Why" at him, Sophie joined the fight but was quickly overwhelmed; several Shigans made her right arm useless and he then all killed the other warriors still fighting. He explained he was never a part of the clan, he was a spy sent to find out about the sword style and then report whether they should destroy it or not. Harry tried attacking him to save her but he used a Shigan reflexively and hit him in the chest. Seeing he had killed a kid without meaning to, Vara ran off leaving her and Wendy to their grief.

A senior warrior called Welik found them and managed to bring them to the coast, a small boat was waiting with several other people inside; including some other clan members. As they got on and started to sail away, Charlie reached the shore not far down, with their father. They wasn't fighting agents, they were fighting eachother and arguing; Sophie was too far away to make much out. She tried to turn the boat around but the warriors knew they couldn't. As they drift out to sea, the last thing she sees is Charlie stabbing him in the chest.

Adult Life
With the other clan members, they are somehow able to survive but eventually a bounty is placed on Sophie and many of the other warriors heads; making it harder due to the bounty hunters and Marines now being after them. During one incident in a small town, several of the others are killed trying to protect her and Wendy; as they are now the highest ranking clan members due to being children of the leader. One of the warriors manages to become a bounty hunter and sends money to them, but it slowly became less successful due to him having to travel further and they couldn't stay too long in one place. He eventually stops hunting and comes back to help more directly.

Overtime Sophie manages to gather some information about an organisation that's against the World Government, but due to its secrecy isn't able to find out how to find them or anything else that might help. Having basically exhausted most 'safe' places in the West Blue and feeling like they would be easier to find outside of the Four Blues, her group gathers up some money and manage to pay some pirates to bring them with them when they go to the Grand Line. Predictably once they are in it they try and kill them and take their stuff, but are no match for Sophie and the other warriors; she had started training again and was nearly as good as Welik, the only senior warrior in the group. She couldn't use any of the high ranking techniques or ones involving channeling ancestors etc. but was still a very powerful swordsman.

A year or so after coming to the Grandline they encounter the Revolutionary Army completely by chance and help to liberate an island from tyranny. After explaining who they were and why they wanted to find them, they are allowed to join as preliminaries members until they prove themselves. Sophie manages to convince them that Wendy would be in danger if she went so they get some people to look after her; plus two warriors from her group stay with her as well. The Revolutionaries was infiltrating a Marine base to get some information while another group caused a distraction on the other side of town. Although at first the other warriors still focused on protecting her, Sophie orders them to treat her like any other member, explaining that they were no longer Yasshou Clan members as they were now Revolutionary agents and she was no longer their leader. Proving themselves during the mission, they were taken to a local base and fully inducted. Despite initial concerns, the warriors eventually went on separate missions and split up. Wendy became a helper at the base while Sophie went on missions and gained several accolades and commendations due to her vast knowledge and skills in many areas.

It was on one of these mission which involved going to a World Government lab she met the former Marine and Dwarf, Jade Belle. After being split up from the other agents by enemy forces, the two headed to the objective only to find it was a trap, all the doors locking and numerous advanced robots attacking them. Working as an amazing team, Jade was able to get into them one by one to disable them while Sophie defended her from the others; as the robots were too strong and too many to destroy normally. She was injured but kept fighting till she could no longer stand; luckily this gave enough time for the others to regroup and get a door open and start helping them. After explaining it was a trap, Jade carried her back to the ship herself. Both of them were promoted for managing to do something that even the entire group would have struggled with, plus their previous separate achievements.

Some time after that and being in the same mission/groups a few more times, Jade came to find her after she became an officer. She wanted Sophie to be her second in command which she instantly said yes to. They have been on several missions and helped liberate multiple countries from the corrupt World Government. More recently she found out Charlie had joined a pirate crew as she saw his wanted poster.

Custom Fighting Style
The Lineal Sword Style is a martial arts focused on a single sword and created by the Yasshou Clan many generations ago. While a good style normally, it is secretly a very special style that uses ancestors and a 'link' to empower attacks and do other abilities. Due to its power and threat, the World Government tried to make the clan join them and when they refused they tried to destroy the style as it was seen as too dangerous if it wasn't in their hands. As such it is only used by a handful of people who survived the attack. Only senior warriors knew about and were taught the advanced/ancestor related techniques.

Amy is tall and has cyan coloured hair that gets slowly darker until it becomes nearly black at the tips, usually done up in high twintails. She has quite a punkish sort of style and can be fairly asymmetrical. She has a tattoo of two lines under her left eye and a very large continuous tattoo with multiple designs inside it such as a broken heart and a star from a bit past her should to all the way down past her stomach; inbetween the bottom of this tattoo and her belly button is another tattoo of a stylized swirl with dots around it. Amy also has matching stylized line tattoos on her wrists but they are usually covered by a fingerless glove on her right hand and a very long fingerless glove that nearly goes to her shoulder on her left arm.

Her most common outfit is a dark cyan vest-like/sleeveless top that has a hood (often with the bottom tied up exposing some of her stomach), black short-shorts with a belt, net stockings that go up to the shorts and black knee-high boots. Personality
Amy is a free spirit, not caring too much about rules and norms. She is very cheeky, even to her superiors and other people in a high position. Although very often rude; she is never malicious or mean as she generally does want to help people and liberate those under tyrannical rules etc. Amy can be a bit of an airhead but is fairly intelligent and skilled when she has reason to be, such as being able to successfully do very long shots with her rifle and calculate ricochets using trigonometry to hit impossible targets. Somehow she is also able to lower the guard of people and get them to tell her things, making her a good infiltrator and spy; this could be due to a combination of her personality and demeanor etc. so people don't expect her to actually be a member of the Revoltinary Army.

She is seen as quite friendly but people can find her annoying, especially if they are quite serious or dislike not being shown respect etc. Amy can often make jokes, even when in dangerous situations such as fighting someone. She can also be a bit of a prankster, but only does lighthearted stuff that makes her and others laugh etc.

Early Life
Amy was born to unknown parents who she never knew as she was found as a baby in a basket. She was then taken to the Vira Orphanage in the city of Cottige where she grew up, although she did often travel quite far from it; even spending sometime time on an island fairly far away when she was around 9. Mrs Merrit who was in charge of the Orphanage disliked her greatly due to her frequent disregard of rules and ignoring of lectures/scoldings, the pranks she played on others, her excessive jokes and cheekiness etc. She would very often have to come and get her from places as Amy had been banned/kicked out of them or had gone too far from the Orphanage etc. Mrs Merrit very quickly stopped trying to help her get adopted, as no one was able to handle her and she didn't really want to be.

She was quite well known across Cottige which would often lead to people telling her to get lost and insulting her etc. , although there were some that did enjoy her antics and personality too. She would also often get ridiculed because of the types of clothes and general other things she liked, none of this dampened her personality and spirit however; so would be back to her antics very quickly after being lectured or kicked out of somewhere etc. Overtime she realized there was a bit of a divide between the rich and the poor, with the upper class getting the best stuff and getting away with doing virtually anything and the lower classes getting hardly anything and living in fear etc. Although Vira didn't have slaves, many people were treated like one and were often forced to endure things that would be illegal in most places.

This became very obvious when she started playing pranks on some of the upper class as they took even less kindly to this and her other antics. Amy was very often chased by police and other people so they could arrest her, despite the stuff she was doing being harmless and was just for fun. Although she was quite good at getting away, Mrs Merrit and the other people at the orphanage were able to keep her safe on the few occasions when she couldn't mostly because she was so young; but eventually she would choose the wrong person/people to do antics/pranks on. Around this time she had only a few friends as most of the kids at the orphanage found her annoying.

Adolescence
Years after starting to mess with the upper class, Amy was now very adept at running across buildings and her pranks & antics had started to escalate a bit. She had also realized that she could use her personality and general 'unassuming-ness' to get information and lower people's guard; that made pranks even easier/better. By this time it didn't work on a lot of people though as they knew her/had heard of her; making her only good targets being those of the upper class as they expected her less etc. She had also now made more friends but due to some being occasionally adopted she never really had that many.

One night when she was 14 she finally chose the wrong person. Fara the spoiled son of the wealthiest person in Vira, Para; was going around a certain district when Amy spotted him and his bodyguard from the rooftops. She did a very simple prank, having some friends distract his guard then dropping some water on both their heads. This enraged him and he sent his guard after them with permission to hurt/have them be in an 'accident'. Despite being quite good at escaping and running across buildings, the bodyguard was much faster and could even use geppou; as such he easily caught them.

Bringing them back to Fara, he had already decided that Amy herself was going to 'slip' off a roof but hadn't decided what to do with her friends. While deliberating, a figure approaches and tries to reason with the boy; who absentmindedly tells his guard to deal with them. The man easily blocks their attack and counters with a jab to the neck, which immediately knocks him out cold. It takes Fara a few moments to realize his bodyguard failed but once he does, he starts to panic. Amy's saviour just tells him to leave and forget this all happened.

Turning to them after Fara runs away, he tells them to lay low for a while and to then stay away from any of the upper class. While her friends quickly agreed, Amy didn't but was more interested in who they were. The person doesn't answer her question and leaves as they told him they could find their way home. But she wasn't going to give up that easy, following him from the rooftops for a while. As he went around a corner that blocked them from her view, she found he had disappeared. Amy quickly found out he was behind her and after another conversation they revealed they were a member of the Revolutionary Army and was about to do a big operation to free Vira from the corruption and stop the upper class from abusing their power and money etc.

Impressed by her drive and skills she already had, the man whose name was Sallop, decided to teach her a bit in the few days before it started. She wasn't allowed to take part in the operation however as she was too young, too inexperienced and not skilled enough. As such she had to stay with all the other children while a large scale battle occurred on Vira; although the violence was mostly confined to the areas that the upper class lived.

Once they had liberated Vira, Sallop came to the orphanage and asked if she wanted to join; which she immediately agreed to. Taken to the closest major Revolutionary Base, Amy spent the next few years being trained; although she still somehow found time to play pranks. It was during this time that she found out she had a talent for sniping, so ended up doing much more marksman training in comparison to the other training.

Adult Life
Now a full member of the Revolutionaries, Amy did several missions before being transferred to Amethyst. A few years later, she was made the head sniper after she showed how good she was by hitting a target enemy that was hiding by using ricochets.

Physical Description
Sallop is a very large and muscular man; similar in build to Jesus Burgess. He often just wears long dark green shorts and blue shoes; forgoing any shirt/top. His dark brown hair is very short, not far off being a buzzcut. He has a tattoo of a stylized dragon on his right shoulder and wears a necklace with a boat pendant.
Personality
Sallop is a 'gentle giant', someone who looks large and intimating but is actually very caring and kind. He dislikes unnecessary violence, preferring to use his strength for more practical things like carrying heavy items. However he also believes in protecting people and hates the World Government and other corrupt/evil groups; as such Sallop doesn't mind fighting in these cases.
Background
Sallop is the first born of Nef and Aviso, a pair of shipwights at Water 7. He spent his childhood hanging around ship yards/docks with his parents, and was quickly joined there by his younger siblings Chalupa, Canu and Katamara over the next few years. After showing he was going to be naturally strong, his father started to have him help out around the dock and teaching him about ship repairing and breaking.

When he was 15, the Revolutionary Army was trying to find people who might help them in secret; approaching the company his family worked for. Deciding to help, they spent the next few years secretly creating and repairing ships of the organisation that were in the Grand Line. During this time Sallop became a dismantler, destroying parts of a ship that were too damaged to be repaired so they can start from scratch etc.; his siblings also started to work for the company in various roles. One night many years later; a Marine ship was hidden nearby Water 7, as they had been investigating and figured out there must be someone/a group helping them there. They were able to intercept a newly repaired ship and questioned them. The Marines then got reinforcements and started to arrest members of the company, Sallop's family was warned by someone who was able to escape. All of them made their way to a ship they owned and were somehow able to get away.

Feeling responsible, the Revolutionaries contacted most of the people who got away and offering to help them find somewhere else to live. Most took this offer but Sallop and his family didn't; instead being motivated to actually get more involved so they joined the Army and started helping out directly. Although he originally started working with the shipwights, he also started to train and eventually became an agent. During one mission he saved a girl called Amy, whose skills and attitude impressed him enough that he asked her to join the organisation after the mission was over. Sallop was promoted to Warrant Officer when he was 31 and now leads the small division, Peridot.
Abilities and Powers
Sallop is a powerful member of the Revolutionary Army, and has authority over all members under Warrant Officer. He has an imidating presence due to his size and appearance, but rarely takes advantage of this due to his personality. Despite disliking unnecessary violence, he is still a very capable combatant and will fight for the causes he believes and to protect people.

Physical Abilities
Very strong even at a young age, Sallop has incredible physical power. He can lift up an entire mast of a large boat on his own, hold up a crumbling building long enough for everyone to get out and can hit a person hard enough for them to go through multiple solid floors.

Although its not at the same level as his strength, he is also very durable. Able to take multiple attacks from many enemies and keep going, Sallop often acts as the rear guard while his men retreat; tanking/intercepting all the attacks so they can get away without much worry. However he can still be injured by powerful enough attacks, but combined with his high endurance/stamina and willpower he can keep fighting even when heavily damaged.

He is also very fast, which can often catch people off-guard due to his size and build. His reactions are even faster however; allowing him to react to a gun being fired nearly point blank fast enough to catch the bullet and can react fast enough to intercept a powerful bomb that was exploding and put his body over it, protecting everyone nearby.

Also seems to have quite good hearing and sight.

Fighting Style
Sallop does not use any set fighting style, instead using an assortment of different stuff he has been taught, picked up or just self-taught etc. As such it is a mixture of Muay Thai, brawling, karate, kickboxing and judo; he also took a bit of influence from Fishman Karate and Okama Kenpo. Due to all the different styles, it makes him quite difficult to really predict/counter; as he can quite quickly go from using one sort of style to another.

He makes use of his entire body during a fight, attacking with kicks, punches, elbows, knees and grapples etc.
Knowledge and Skills
Sallop has a large amount of knowledge, skills and experience. He has been a member of the Revolutionaries since he was around 18 and has been trained by many people, gone on various missions etc. He is also talented in various areas, which allowed him to be quite skilled at something before he even started to learn/improve upon it.

Intelligence
His appearance can often 'hide' the fact he is quite intelligent. Sallop hasn't spent much time reading or trying to improve his intelligence, but even without doing this he is still smart enough to figure out complicated problems and understand difficult topics etc. As such he has much more 'street smarts' than 'book smarts'; being able to navigate various types of organisations and situations, can negotiate and create advantages in even the most dire situations, know the best connections to create and use etc.

This doesn't mean Sallop can't use more 'conventional' intelligence, as he is able to apply it to his other skills/knowledge and helps him to understand or work things out quite quickly etc. But he will probably never win any actual competitions or tests based on actual intelligence, as he doesn't focus on any of the areas these will really test and lacks some 'fundamentals'; but can do well on things that test other things related to it (such as military planning and certain types of problem solving). If he applied himself more, he could be one of the more intelligent members of the Revolutionary Army; but is either too busy or has no real want/need to do it.

Tactical Skills
Sallop can create excellent strategic plans and is a natural at using tactics in battles. While he dislikes using underhanded tricks, he will still use deception and similar tactics to win battles and complete missions. Due to his build, he can use intimidation to trick people into thinking he is powerful and violent; although will never try and convince people beyond a certain point. Sallop is generally the person in Peridot who comes up with the plans for missions, often knowing the best way members can use the various skills and knowledge to help achieve their goals.

He can also be very good at working out the weakness of his enemy and coming up with a way to exploit it. Sallop is not afraid to take risks but will generally only do so if there isn't many other options, or if the benefits outweigh the negatives; he generally does this by using his tactical skills to try and work out the best actions to take.

Leadership Skills
While he himself might not see it, most people would say he has very good leadership skills. Everyone respects him for honesty, dedication and willingness to protect/help his subordinates etc. Even before being made leader of Peridot, various people looked up to him and followed his advice/plans. Sallop doesn't really see himself above anyone, treating the division members as equals and friends rather than subordinates.

He also has other qualities that make him a good leader, such as being a good listener, creating plans, can inspire and convince others, creativity and he has a lot of empathy. Due to now being a leader of an actual division, Sallop has improved upon all of these skills and is starting to believe in his own leadership ability.

Carpentry and Shipwright Skills
Although not as good as his father and never focusing on certain parts; Sallop is still a very good shipwight and carpenter. Able to design, build and repair most types of ships; understand and even improve upon other carpenters work etc. These skills allow him to quickly repair any damage done to his division's ship, work on ways to improve them once it is over, locate weak points/best places to focus attacks on enemy ships and create unique ship additions etc.

However most of his skill in carpentry comes from his ability to dismantle/'break' a ship. Sallop is able to completely strip a ship down to only its essential parts which makes it look like an nearly empty shell, without ruining the ship itself and allowing improvements to be made to areas that should be near impossible once it is fully built. Most of the time though, he will dismantle a part of the ship so it and parts connected to it can be tested/improved; he can also use these skills to do more unique things such as 'swapping' out a part of the ship by dismantling and rebuilding it differently etc. He can also look at a ship and tell if its possible to fix it plus give an estimate at how long it will take. Sallop himself, his father and his siblings were the ones who taught a lot of the Revolutionaries about carpentry and ship building; he focused on teaching ship dismantling as there was originally only a few people in the entire organisation who could do it at even a low standard, and only one who could do it at a decent standard.

When on a mission in addition to being the leader; he is also the head carpenter and can quite easily help and command the other shipwights. At Baltigo or other Revolutionary bases, he will often go and help the shipwights; his carpentry skill being so good he can even join jobs when they are half done etc. He can build powerful weapons, utility items and other devices; and is even able to fit ones that shouldn't be able to, by dismantling/altering parts of the ship.

Engineering Expertise
Although he often doesn't use it, Sallop has very good engineering knowledge and skills; able to build and understand complicated machinery or improve/easily destroy sophisticated weapons/devices. He mostly uses this when building an advanced ship, as they require devices and weaponry that can only be made by engineers and scientists.

While it takes him a bit longer to understand compared to carpentry, Sallop can still quite quickly figure engineering things out. While he has designed and created some sophisticated machinery, he also often had help for certain parts. He generally focuses on weaponry so is less skilled/knowledgeable in the other areas.

Weapons & Marksmanship
Although he generally doesn't use them, Sallop has trained to use things like swords, axes, spears and daggers in combat. He isn't that skilled with them however and will only use them in an emergency or if he had to for some reason.

While he can use guns, he isn't that great a marksman and usually has to take multiple shots to hit a target. He is a bit better with cannons and other ship weapons, but still not amazing.

  • Like the rest of his family, his name is based on a type of boat. Shallop is a name used for several types of boats and small ships used for coastal navigation.
  • Chalupa and Canu are his younger brothers, Katamara is his younger sister. Aviso is his mother and his father is Nef.
  • Sallop's epithet is a reference to his dismantler-like role in the profession his family is know for, ship building and how he can dismantle large groups of people in a fight. It could also be a reference to how he 'dismantles' corrupt governments/countries.

The Sea Pixie is similar in design to normal Marine ships but is a bit smaller and has slightly less armament. It makes up for its small size and lack of power by being quite nimble and fast, allowing it to often outmaneuver other ships.
