[Doctor Dennis Kurama and Namor McKenzie vs Don Sai]
[Doctor Dennis Kurama and Namor McKenzie vs Don Sai]
Post 38 - @Lamby
The battlefield was a storm of chaos and precision. The dust had settled, but the tension hung heavy in the air. Namor stood tall, his trident poised like a monarch surveying his domain, while Kurama lingered slightly behind, his sharp green eyes narrowing as they tracked the blur that encircled them. The two warriors were a study in contrast—Namor's regal, commanding presence was unshakable, while Kurama's calculating gaze revealed a mind spinning rapidly to decipher their opponent's strategy.
Kurama's thoughts raced. "This speed... it's beyond my ability to track with precision. I can only sense the faintest disruption in the air. Namor, however, seems composed. He must be able to see it clearly—or at least clearer than I can." His fingers twitched, itching for a plan. "If we act separately, we'll be picked off. This requires synergy, precision, and trust."
Namor's voice cut through the din, steady yet imperious. "Kurama," he began, his tone brooking no argument. "Stand back but stay sharp. I’ll face him directly. This fight demands focus, and I prefer a one-on-one. However," his piercing gaze flicked to Kurama, "I trust you to support me if the opportunity arises."
Kurama blinked, momentarily taken aback, but quickly nodded. "Understood. I’ll stay ready."
Namor's lips curled into a faint, confident smirk. "Good. This one underestimates us. Let him learn the cost of his arrogance."
The winds howled as Sai’s speed reached its peak, creating a vortex that tugged at the edges of Kurama’s hair and Namor’s cape. The blur of movement was nearly imperceptible to Kurama, but Namor’s eyes tracked it with measured precision. His trident shifted subtly, a predator lying in wait.
Kurama's mind churned through possibilities. "Namor’s instincts are sharp, but Sai is fast—too fast for even him to fully predict. If I can disrupt Sai's rhythm at the right moment, it could give Namor the opening he needs." He adjusted his stance subtly, ready to act if necessary.
The circling blur began to tighten, the winds growing sharper as Sai’s strategy unfolded. The pressure was palpable, but neither Kurama nor Namor flinched. Instead, they stood as unyielding pillars amidst the storm.
Namor’s voice rang out, clear and commanding. "Now!"
The Atlantean king thrust his trident forward with explosive force, the "Five Thousand Tile True Thrust" tearing through the vortex with a sound like cannon fire. The sheer power of the attack disrupted the whirlwind, sending shockwaves rippling outward.
Kurama seized the opportunity, leaping back to avoid the aftermath while keeping his sharp gaze on Namor and their opponent. The clash of Namor's unrelenting power against the storm of speed was a sight to behold, the battlefield quaking under the force of their confrontation.
As the dust and debris settled, Kurama’s voice broke the silence. "Your timing was impeccable, Namor. I expected nothing less."
Namor turned his gaze to Kurama, his expression as regal as ever. "And your composure under pressure is admirable. Stay vigilant. If he adapts, I’ll need your insight."
Kurama nodded, his mind already analyzing the next steps. "This is far from over, but Namor’s strength is a linchpin. If I can continue to read the flow of battle, we may yet seize victory."
The two stood in perfect accord, their resolve unshaken as they prepared for whatever came next.
