Karate Island is a tropical island in the warmest part South Blue. Sand dunes surround the island and all sides, and further in palm trees take over, giving respite from the scorching sun that is always present. In the midfle of the island a volcano stretces towards the sky, butvit is clear from its surroundings that it has been long since its last eruption. Somewhere in the jungle is the famous dojo of Karate Islands and its defenders.

This type of kung fu focuses on training inner strength (similar to cardio-vascular development) to increase the users' defensive capabilities and their endurance in the fight.
-Ma Style Takusousho (Ma Style Elbow Lifting Palm): A technique for getting out of a grip. This technique begins with an open palm uppercut to the opponent's chin at close range. Once your hand is placed against your opponent's chin, use your other hand to strike your elbow. # After defeating the Tricksters, the 169th and their captain had a separation, a short pause. Shaarib wanted a sabbatical, his crewmates were lost on the sea for two days and Troya lost his arm. Using his rank, the Skypiean was able to get him in contact with the scientific squad. Once again Absolute Justice had consequences on others soldiers. The Vice-Admiral left most of his belongings on Naglfar and disappeared in the night leaving directions to the eldest of the "children".

The first stop of his trip was the Ryugu Kingdom, Shaarib was a knight of the Kingdom and it was the only place he could hide without anyone knowing; the royals owed him that. Jimbe had promised to help him learn Fishman Karate. Shaarib needed something new in his arsenal. Perfect his armament required to be more disciplined, and it was the perfect solution. The Skypiean spent four months below the sea. In the morning, he would learn new katas in the Fish-Man Karate Dojo and he would spend the rest of the day applying them with the whale shark. On his off day, he would tinker on the dials he took from Hermès.

Having learned enough, the ally of justice decided to go to the island of Karate in South Blue. An island famous for harboring the finest martial artists of the seas. The famous Hayato Fūrinji, was the master of the island. Every martial artist wanted to impress him, wanted to be validated by him. Shaarib wanted to see how far he got. To get to the dojo, you needed to brave the dangerous animals of the jungle under a scorching sun. Luckily our hero was able to fly over it using his fruit powers. But as usual, Shaarib got to cocky and flew to close to the sun. Instead of landing delicately and making a good impression, the marine crashed into the main doors of the Dojo.

Got up, and dusted off himself. His magnificent blue hawain shirt was torn so he threw it away, leaving him with his white bob, a black tanktop and beige shorts with some black sandals. The crash attracted a little crowd and all the 3 meters tall man was able to say was :

- " Oya, Oya did anyone know where I can find Hayato Fūrinji ? " #

Karate Island was a mostly peaceful place, with rare pirate attacks. Due to this, the defenders of the island spent most of their time training in the dojo under the guidance of their master Hayato Fūrinji, one of the most powerful martial artists in the seas. Due to his reputation, even pirates rarely dared to go near the island and tried to avoid it at all costs. Which is why it came as a major surprise when a strange man came crashing through the doors of the dojo.

A small crowd of locals had gathered hearing the sound of crashing coming from the building. A man stood in the door way asking for Hayato. The crowd was puzzled by the man.

"I've never seen this man before."
"How did he get past the gate?"
"I dont think he's human, he transformed from a bird into a man."
"Really!?"


The locals talked amongst themselves, but he didn't have to wait too long to find who he was looking for. Hayato had been taking a nap in the dojo before the noise alerted him.

"You've got a lot of balls attacking my dojo head on." Hayato was standing behind of Sharib, arms folded with a huge grin. Behind of him his disciples gathered, glaring menacingly.

# The skypiean began scratching his hat vehemently, there was confusion. Shaarib wasn't a pirate at all. His legendary luck had put him in another unpleasant situation. The man started to look at himself before turning and addressing the master. **The older man measured around the same height and was even more muscular. The marine wasn't running from a fight but he would prefer for things not to go south directly. Shaarib took two steps back and put himself in an attention position before yelling :

- "It's a misunderstanding, I'm not a pirate, I'm Vice-Admiral Shaarib !" , and then continued, "I heard you were a famous martial artist and wanted to see how far I've come in the arts I practice myself. And maybe after I defeat ya, you would give out pointers. What say you ? " finished the Skypiean.

The strange man stood at attention as he attempted to de-escalate the situation. He introduced himself as a Vice Admiral from the Marines organization and who didnt come to cause trouble, but to test his martial prowess against the master martial artist.

Hearing this Hayato smiled from ear to ear and gestured at his comrades to stand down. As they reluctantly did so, the old man folded his arms and exerted a pressure that many hadn't had to experience in a long time.

"After you defeat me? Heh, you talk big Marine. We haven't had a Marine come here in years. And I'm confident the only person that can give me a challenge is your Garp the Hero." He replied.

His disciples would only laugh at the idea that this man could defeat their master, for he was the greatest Martial Artist in the South Blue yet to be defeated. However, Hayato was not amused. He was excited.


"I accept your challenge! I can't pass up the chance the show my strength. Show me the might of the Marines! We begin when you are ready, it's your call."

He stood arms still folded, patiently waiting for Sharrib's reply.

# Shaarib did not have to respond anymore. Blue flames erupted from his body, and his hands and feet became claws, the bob on his head flew away; leaving everyone to see the buzz cut he had. The old man was confident enough to compare himself to the legendary Garp so the Vice-Admiral wasn't going to treat him nicely. The young man closed his eyes for a brief second and launched a punch covered by invisible haki in the wind. For the naked eye, nothing could be seen, the marine just threw a punch for nothing. But what they failed to notice was that the power of the punch was lowly being transported by the vapor in the air. In the next minutes, a shockwave was going to hit the master and everything around him.

- Jugon : Ralentissement !
Karakusagawara Seiken (literally meaning "Arabesque Tile True Punch"): The user punches at a fair distance from the intended target(s), so instead of the fist connecting, it uses the water vapor in the air to release a shock wave that sends them flying. This move is similar to Bartholomew Kuma's Pad Ho with the only difference being that the shock waves are not concentrated upon being released; but in exchange, it has a much wider area of effect. This move has a delayed effect, as the shock wave takes a while to affect the opponent(s).

Not losing anytime, Shaarib used his momentum to bounce forward toward the karate master creating a crater where he stood previously. The Skypiean left arm took that ebony color of armament and he tried to hit the torso of his opponent with another punch#

Hyakumaigawara Seiken (literally meaning "Hundred Tile True Punch"): A hard punch that can send an opponent flying. It can break through one hundred tiles.

Shaarib didn't respond. Blue flames enveloped his body as his hands and legs transformed into claws. Realizing the battle was beginning, his disciples quickly moved to the sides of the dojo to avoid getting caught in the fight between these two martial artists.

"I see, you have a Zoan. It's been a long time since I've clashed fists with an Akuma no mi user!"

Shaarib then performed a low stance and punched the air. To the confusion of everyone in the dojo nothing happened. Hayato was puzzled by this, but didn't have time to ponder the marine's strange antics as he dived forward with another attack aiming to punch him in the torso. But Hayato would just smile and unfold his arms.

"Seikuken."

Showing master control over the entire radius of his arm length and coating them in hardening, Hayato instantly manifested a spherical "shield" around his being that clashes with Shaarib's own attack. A shockwave resonated throughout the dojo, blowing the spectators into the dojo walls. Hayato managed to stop the punch, but not without feeling some damage in his arms.

"Impressive! Who knew the marines had another upcoming master on the rise! That young man Kallavan and now you. However you still both pale in comparison to what Garp is capable of."

"Fūrinji Dankuu Yokudan Geri!"


Using his right hand, Hayato grabbed onto Shaarib's left before aiming to strike an upwards kick, coated in invisible haki, directly into his face. Whether or not this attack successfully landed, Hayato would immediately release the skypian's arm and coat his fists completely in hardening before thrusting them forward. Releasing wave of air into Shaarib's abdomen.

# Shaarib was surprised, the old man could fend off the marine's attack easily. He then took advantage of his superior speed to counteract. The birdman saw the hit coming and sank his claws into the ground bracing himself for the punch. It was time to see if Hayato was strong as people said. Shaarib was hit cleanly and before he could say anything, the kick was followed by a punch. The marine was sent 8 meters from the master. He fell on his stomach . The younger guy blinked twice, before getting up and analyzing the damages. His mouth was full of blood. The combo did some serious damage, a little more power and Shaarib would have been knocked out. His jaw was broken and even misplaced. His head was buzzing but soon his powers would heal him as usual, the perks of being a phoenix-man. Shaarib got arrogant. he underestimated his foe and ate the consequences. But, he was now sure that Hayato Fuurinji would offer a memorable fight.

Blue flames engulfed Shaarib, forming a sphere around him. When they died down, our hero's appearance changed. The broken jaw got fixed and found it's original place. Flames like an armor covered the man's whole body, his wings were now entirely made of flames. His head was now entirely covered by a phoenix’s. The birdman cracked his neck and darted immediately forward once again. If a punch capable of destroying a thousand tiles wasn’t able to hurt the karateka, Shaarib was going to multiple it by four. The old would not know what was going to hit him. Especially with the incoming Jugon. The Vice-Admiral’s arm turned black once again as he tried to hit his opponent's chin. #


- Gosenmaigawara Seiken !

(literally meaning "Five Thousand Tile True Punch"): A much-stronger version of the Senmaigawara Seiken. It is a very powerful punch, able to knock out a Jailer Beast in one strike. It is used like an uppercut, rather than a straight punch, sending the opponent flying skywards.
Requirements: 61 Mastery, 61 Strength
Destructive Potency Rank: A ==>3+3+4 ==> 10. Large Country Level

Hayato's disciples shared smiles with one another, finding this outcome to be expected. But very soon their smug looks would fade as their master was suddenly sent flying backwards himself. He crashed into the wall behind of him, coughing up a lot of blood from the impact. He would feel the insides of his body throb intensely.

His disciples had assumed Shaarib somehow managed to land a blow on their master faster than their eyes could track. But unknown to them, the mighty Hayato Fūrinji was caught unaware by the delay in Jugon : Ralentissement and in this moment had ended up knocked out cold.
His moment of unconsciousness was short lived. His body stirred and eyes shot open quickly as he coughed up blood once again. His disciples all breathed a sigh of relief, all except Saiga Furinji. The son of Hayato knew this wasn't enough to do his father in, and watched closely as he knew very well that things were about to get way more interesting.

Hayato carefully rose to his feet with a look of joy plastered on his face, before walking calmly back towards his original position. He relished the feeling of throbbing pain throughout his being.

"It's been a long time since I've been hurt to this extent! And so quickly too hahaha! Well done. You've stirred my warriors sprirt. I accept you Shaarib of the Marines."

He raised his brow as he watched blue flames engulf the man's body yet again. Not only changing his appearance, but completely healing his injuries. Immediately Shaarib got right back into it, lunging forward in an attempt to deliver another powerful punch this time aiming for the chin of one of the strongest. Hayato scoffed as he quelled his own excitement in order to achieve a complete state of calm.


"Ryūsui Seikūken."

Ryusui Seikuken, an advanced form of the original Seikuken. Turning the principle of that technique inward, Hayato could reduce the "shield" into a thin layer above the skin. This granted him the ability to dodge the opponent's attacks at the last possible second. Hayato shifted his body to the side, avoiding Shaarib's fist at the last second.

"You're making yourself too easy to read. I'm not someone that's beneath you. If you intend to win this you need to fight smarter than this, my boy."

After saying this Hayato fists turned black before he delivered some strikes of his own into the sides of Shaarib before jumping backwards gracefully. Doing this in order to give himself distance between himself and his opponent as well as observe what Shaarib would do next.




"Fūrinji Awase Tsubute."

The birdman made a quick decision and decided to attack at the same time as his opponent. Shaaribs opened his beak, now ebony, and let out a cry when the punches hit him. The waves created a burst that destroyed the environment around them (20 m of circumference.) Which ended in cases like this, waiting for a hit to come.

Not losing any time, Shaarib's hand mucked around in one of his pockets looking for his water dial. Having found the weird-looking shell, he pressed on it releasing a bubble of water that he punched. The bubble was hurled towards the master and took the form of a shark. Shaarib needed to keep Hayato in one place and if attacking frontally wasn't going to do the deed, he was going try the other way #
