Chaka started to wander off the streets of the city and now he would find himself in the aisle of the marketplace, more particularly the textile section. He is not disguised as someone, he does not need that. He is one of the highest-ranking protectors of the city and all of Alubarna knows that. He would even be greeted by the people as soon as they notice him. But unlike the regular days, he would briefly acknowledge them rather than chat with them for a while. He means business tonight. He would continue to scout the area before being called by one of the spies around the city. The spy would gesture him to come his way and he would quickly respond.

"We saw them.", the spy said.

"Where?", Chaka asked.

"Following his retreat, they rendezvous just half a kilometre outside this area. It's only a matter of time til he shows up again."

"Very well. Arrange the evacuation of the marketplace. Do this calmly. We don't need to make the people panic."

There it is. The stage would be set. A battlefield being arrange for a 1v1 fight where no casualty would be compromised. How long would it take before the agent shows up once more? Or would he continue to cower his tail and take the eternal loss against the Royal Guard?

Ryu came slowly to the marketplace, despite it being in the evening, he was very surprised at the emptiness of the markets. However, his Haki soon notified him as to the reason. Before he had even arrived he could sense that only one man stood in the market, obviously waiting for him... And as far as he knew, the guard was not aware of his presence yet. Which told Ryu one thing... Either this man didn't possess Haki or he hadn't been using it. Which gave Ryu an idea.

He quietly Geppou'd up to the roofs above, lighting his cigarette as he did so. Using his Haki to make sure there were no lookouts to stop him and also find the perfect cover so that Chaka could not see him, he found a roof that perfectly overlooked Chaka. Ryu quietly observed the guard waiting below with a smirk on his face as he smoked. The guard had clearly come to try finish him off and hadn't brought his colleague. A mistake that will cost him his life. Ryu thought to himself. As his cigarette burned, he took it from his mouth and flicked it hard, down toward Chaka, charging it with his Devil Fruit ability. Smoke Bomb.... He whispered as the cigarette hit Chaka.

Chaka strode the marketplace and ordered the spy to clear the place. That being said, he was left alone in what would be the arena for his upcoming match. He waited for several moments and alas, the culprit would reveal himself. He was not particularly sensing any trouble but he knew someone is in there. He looked to the sides, over his shoulders and up high. Until someone moved he could not trail completely for the man in question used a technique to increase its movement speed. But for him, sensing him was enough to know the enemy's presence.

The agent took the higher platform and puffed a cigar. That very cigar would be used as a weapon. And just like that, the butt of the cigarette was thrown at such speed to the wandering flesh of the Alabasta Guard.

Whoosh!

"?!", Chaka reacted as a projectile of an unknown ability came to his location. His initial reaction was to evade the said attack by kicking the ground in order to dash backward. However, even though he was successfully able to dodge the thing the aftermath of it would cost him some.

BOOM!

Suddenly, an explosion occurred that entirely covers about 5 meters radius. And apparently, that was enough to reach Chaka during his evasion process. "Gwaa!", he bellowed as his body was thrown from the point of explosion, charred as he fell to the ground. "Y- you!", he roared, gritting.

He was surprised, for the man above him did not reveal this ability when they first met. Whether or not he just hid it from them or it was recently acquired was anyone's guess but it wasn't the time to figure out how and when. He needs to figure out how to defeat this criminal.

He slowly got up and talked. "You came back. I knew you would. People like you love to retreat after a clear defeat. And now, revenge drives you crazy. Be my guest."

Chaka quickly transformed into a Hound Hybrid as fangs and claws sprang forth from his body. After that, he draws his sword, puts it into his mouth, and dashes towards his opponent swiping them with the blade. "Narikiba!"

Before the smoke cleared, Ryu knew the Royal Guard hadn't fallen due to his Haki. He would keep his Haki at attention, for he knew how quick both the guards had been in their last encounter. An encounter in which he underestimated them. Not again. As Chaka spoke, Ryu listened intently. It was textbook projection and he believed even the dog knew it.

However, before Ryu could offer a reply the guard transformed and launched into an attack toward the CP9 agent. However, he saw it coming because of his Observation Haki, so he deftly dodged the attack, avoiding the damage. As he slipped under the blade, he offered a counter by sinking his fists into Chaka's stomach. Punch Bomb!

Chaka, after taking the hit from the previous cigarette butt-made bomb immediately gathered himself and launched an attack skywards. The sword wielded by his mouth was attempting to slash Ryu's body but much to his surprise, the agent was able to dodge the attack and quickly launched his fist forward to deliver an explosive punch against his mouth.

The blade of his sword clashed against the other's fist and an explosion occurred from the epicentre of it. Smoke covered the distance between Ryu and Chaka. And when the obscurity has cleared, Ryu would see his foe a couple of meters away from him. Chaka's face was covered in dirt and listened to what the other had said. He responded, "Too much for you to say. You can't even harm me with those two attacks. I can read through your slow attacks but only tested the depths of it. You need to move faster if you want to beat me.", he continued, challenging the other.

Ryu balled his fist and flex it to ease the small pain. The guard was right, the clash did hurt. But he still believed he could win this fight. As the next attack came, he put up his arms to guard himself, covering himself in haki and also imbuing himself with Tekkai! Perhaps he wouldn't dodge every attack, but he could take it and if he could take it, he could get close.

With a hard push against his foe's blocking arms, Chaka kept his distance once more. Thinking of his next move, he pointed the tip of the sword at his enemy. Let's see if you can tank this one. Standing, he then raised his sword levelled to his chest while raising his right palm forward. And using his enhanced speed, thanks to his Zoan hybrid form, he catapults toward Ryu, aiming to pierce the tip of his sword through the chest of the intruder.

Keeping his tekkai and Haki active, Ryu decided to use Kami-E to try and mitigate any potential damage by at least trying to dodge. As he allowed the thrust to come his way, his body, now behaving like paper in the wind, flowed away from the strike. Taking this new opportunity, Ryu would spin and charge at the Royal Guard with new vigor. Quickly drawing his sword, he would thrust at the guard. Hoping to unleash an explosion inside his opponent's body.

Following his thrust, the enemy rolled into the wind and managed to evade the attack and launched a counter-attack. Chaka was able to see this coming although he's becoming a little bit frustrated with how his enemy suddenly became familiar with his moves.

Ryu drew his sword and tried to cast a similar attack by targeting his chest. The Royal Guard pulled his sword back and deflected the attack by swinging his own blade from left the right, hoping to see an opening on the right side of Ryu's body. If this is successful, he would use his claws and swing them across the enemy's upper body to deal deep cuts to his muscles.

Ryu, knowing he hadn't the time to dodge the incoming strike, would simply prepare his Tekkai and Haki together again, hoping to use the fact to grab onto to attacking arm. When the strike lands and hopefully minimal damage done, Ryu would grab Chaka's arm and pull him into a bear hug.

Ryu waited for Chaka's attack to come before fortifying his defences with the combination of Haki and Tekkai. Suddenly, the agent's body became as tough as steel, rendering the other's offence ineffective. "?!!"

HAKI?!, he thought. His eyes widened in shock. During this time, the Royal Guard was caught off guard. The agent didn't waste this opportunity and quickly grabbed his arms. And as swift, as it should be, a wide explosion occurred within the vicinity, managing to detonate the concrete floor of the rooftop they are fighting on.

[BOOM!]

Moments later, the obscurity slowly settled. The warm breeze from the north would blow past them, clearing the rest of the smoke. If Ryu is attentive, he would witness that Chaka has now returned to his human form, kneeling with a wounded body. He is charred and smoke dispersing from his mouth.

Ryu looked at the now ragged guard and slowly approached him as he lit a new cigarette. He kept his Observation Haki active, in case the wily veteran had any more tricks up his sleeve. Ryu had to admit, the man was impressive. For a fighter who possessed neither Haki nor Rokushiki, Chaka's raw skill and toughness earned him the agents respect if nothing else.

As he approached, he contemplated killing him. One more sword stroke would do the trick at this point.... But for the first time, there was hesitance with the thought. This man before him fought with true conviction and belief in being opposed to the Government. Such drive doesn't come from nowhere.... Ryu would endeavor to find out more.

You are beaten, dear Guard. But you have earned my respect... Ryu stated, as if it were obvious. I should kill you... But I would find it a waste. So I shall spare your life on one condition. You engage in a civil conversation. Ryu sat, cross-legged, across from Chaka as he continued puffing on his smoke. Tell me... What has the World Government done to your home to earn your ire?

Chaka for the first time since the invasion of the Baroque Works got beaten so badly. A hefty Zoan, considerably one of the toughest out there in terms of physicality. But what could he do against a Haki user and his strange exploding ability? It bypasses his strongest suit ─ royal vanguard.

His palms met the crunched ground, blood and sweat streaming from his head. He is panting heavily. And the agent talked, haughtiness he showed following the small victory. A victory he should have not earned had Chaka did not go with his bad temper and over-confidence. Recklessness, deep to the bones.

You are beaten, dear Guard. But you have earned my respect... Ryu stated, as if it were obvious. I should kill you... But I would find it a waste. So I shall spare your life on one condition. You engage in a civil conversation. Ryu sat, cross-legged, across from Chaka as he continued puffing on his smoke. Tell me... What has the World Government done to your home to earn your ire?

"Huff. Huff. Huff."

"I lost. You. You. Have earned the right to finish me off."

He waited, but to no avail. Instead, the man continued to speak, engaging him in a civilised discussion. Asking him what the government has done to rebel against them.

"You should know better. For years, this country had lost its peace and harmony when Crocodile. A Warlord of the Sea appointed by the Government as one of their strongholds invaded us and siphoned each and every resource we had. He even dried this island up for his own good. We suffered for years until finally, we found ourselves ready to rebel at long last."

He paused momentarily. Looking at the agent. A fierce and sincere look in his eyes is present. "We could not have done it if the pirates you are deeming scums did not help us achieve what we wanted, what we needed. Yes, they are criminals but only because the people in your organisation told the public such. But if you know them, they are different from any other crews who only wish to slaughter people and loot the riches. They have a purpose. Turn the world upside down and create a world where nobody shall suffer famine, drought, and any calamities. They are the Silver Vampirates~!"

Strong words finally revealed why he detests the government. Now it's time for the agent to realise his purpose in life.

"We could not have done it if the pirates you are deeming scums did not help us achieve what we wanted, what we needed. Yes, they are criminals but only because the people in your organisation told the public such. But if you know them, they are different from any other crews who only wish to slaughter people and loot the riches. They have a purpose. Turn the world upside down and create a world where nobody shall suffer famine, drought, and any calamities. They are the Silver Vampirates~!"

Strong words finally revealed why he detests the government. Now it's time for the agent to realise his purpose in life.

Ryu sat quietly as he listened to the man, his passion and his conviction moved him in a way. But, he also had a point. Ryu was a loyal man, yes, but they would sometimes order questionable things be done. Women, children, all of them. They also engaged in a practice that Ryu personally despised. Slavery. It really sickened him whenever he had to escort a World Noble to see how they treated their fellow man. Yet, pirates were worse. Ryu had never come across a noble or good pirate in his entire life. They robbed, murdered, raped and pillaged to their hearts content.

Yet, here was a noble warrior from a former allied Kingdom, telling him that such pirates existed. Fascinating, truly. He stood up.

Perhaps you are right, Chaka. Perhaps these noble pirates exist, perhaps there is goodness in their hearts. But, alas, I cannot ask them that myself. I cannot speak with them without a battle being waged.

Ryu and Chaka continued to talk. The latter voicing out how they respected the Vampirates. The agent agreed that they might be noble but longed to seek that truth himself. Chaka said, "Fine... Do what you want to do. At the end of the day. The alliance between this kingdom and those people you deemed criminals couldn't be shaken. We owe them our lives. And twice, they stood behind our backs when pirates tried to claim this land and destroy everything we re-built." After he said that, he fell on the ground, slamming his face first before losing consciousness.

At the shore, Koza aboard the Alabasta Warship docked finally. He rallied the troops and ordered them to scatter all over the island in search of this Agent of the World Government. He drew his den mushi and spoke to someone, "Gambit, this is Koza speaking."

"What is it, Koza? Anything wrong in our territory?"

"Yeah, apparently some agent attacked the palace and he may now be engaged in a battle against one of our trusted allies.", Koza replied to Gambit.

"Well, then. Let them know who we all are. And allow them to make a fine decision themselves."

Koza strode the desert. Two juttes in his tow. It would not take long before he reaches the market place. And when he did, an all-out battle is upfront. World Government Agent beware.
