Hey guys, here you can discuss the current scenario involving Koby chasing after Hancock and the possible fight resulting there. Imho this fights has to happen and it has to have some consequences.

This is not a thread to talk about power scaling, but the essence behind the fight!

I feel like Koby has to win this and defeat Hancock. So he can push forward the legacy of SWORD and his own legacy in the story. Hancock is a character that never had a legacy. She is just a badass female in the show. "Just"...sorry for my wording. She is one of the rare cases we have in the show. :) But sadly she has to get a L in this for Koby's legacy!

What do you guys think?

Is hard to believe that Koby already could have the power to defeat a shichibukai, and a good one how is Boa.

Of course i want that Koby grows up in terms of skills but not with Boa being a hype material for him. She doesn't deserve that L.

Besides, i think that Koby will react with Boa like he did with Rebecca yohoho where Boa is the "Queen of Luffy's fandom".

Yeah, but you seem to underestimate "the mission". The "course" has changed since the Reverie. That is something the previous chapter tried to establish. I think Koby will prefer his duty over the "bond". And what sense would it make if Koby would lose the fight? Hancock can still participate in the story afterwards.

Yes it could be true my friend. Maybe.

I believe that all Shichibukai will escape somehow anyway.

I feel others may escape, but Hancock could be the one who might be captured while the others will escape because they have still to be uncovered as characters and involve themselves.

What I think about Hancock...maybe she will be captured and then fear the Navy because they might enslave the amazons or sell them to World Nobles. But I think that Koby will make a deal and fight to protect the amazons. And maybe it will all proceed on a certain basis of honor. Koby has to start to put the navy into better light than the ones previously. Here is his chance!
Also I think Hancock won't be executed or fall victim to sadistic behaviour. Just some spontanous calls I make.^^

I thought the two will bond and become friends by talking about Luffy, since Coby does not know she helped him and is in love with luffy lol.

You don't want Koby to grow and become vice-admiral and later admiral? Noone wants here? That makes me sad. :(

Fuck the bond with Luffy, but Koby is a SWORD agent and he wants to be better than other marines. He will capture Hancock and save Amazon Lily from the World Governments fangs.

hmmm, I don't know. With Oda track record of both genders vs eachother, I don't see women fighting man. It's mostly man vs man and women vs women?

We will see if Oda breaks the cycle?

We all know there will be no fight when Koby realizes Hancocks connection with Luffy and vice-versa.

I don't think that Koby has a very significant rank inside Sword to make decisions for his own about capture or protect some kingdom like Kujas, but maybe he can be able to make a deal with Sword to stop the atack over Amazon Lily for a while.

Them talking about Luffy is probably the most likely outcome of their meeting. Clearly there was a reason behind Oda specifically choosing those two to meet instead of having Koby fat any other Shichibukai and I don't think that reason is to fight. Ngl tho, it'd be pretty lame imo if they just bond over Luffy.

The problem with Boa getting captured is that it would be discovered she was a slave to the celestial dragons. And I believe in a fight with the marines she would believe that that discovery would doom her and her sisters so she would fight like hell to prevent that from happening.
While Colby would just want to do his best to follow orders and be a good marine. He doesn't have as much on the line as Boa. So the fight will go to Boa because she will be more desperate to win.

That is a rly good point. Sadly I have a feeling that we won't see the full fight, maybe just flashes and/or the end with conclusion. It will be hard to put this in a chapter, Oda would have to hardfocus on Hancock for a while.
In the end I hope that not only Boa will get her moments now, but also the Kuja Pirates as a whole.

Depends how successful Koby will be, success means he can climb up the next rank, which means VICE ADMIRAL!

Hancock is much stronger than Koby but I think there'll be no fight. Oda will use Koby as a "narrative resource" to inform Hancock and let her know what's going on in Wano and that (from Koby's perspective) Luffy is imprisoned. This will make Hancock want to go to Wano to help Luffy. Which I think is fair, at this point in the plot Kaido' side is stronger than the alliance's.

I was like how will Colby know Boa likes Luffy? And then I remembered they have his wanted posted plastered on the side of their castle ?

I don't think Coby will be able to do much in Hancock and the Kujas since he isn't that strong yet and plot-wise it makes no sense for him to capture her even though they are enemies.

Coby, although a marine, is a very just men and he would never allow the Kujas to go back to being a slave. While Hancock would also be very aware of the possibility of them finding out about her being a previous slave and giving her back to the Celestials.

This fight isn't about imprisonment, this fight is more about values for me.

As for the fighting part itself. The Kuja Pirates are more stronger than Coby, since they are able to use pretty strong CoA, so I don't think they would go down so easily. We have yet to see the strength of Sword as well.
