"Grrruh" the man with the hat scoffs, "this is terrible..." he has an angular beard with cone shaped hair stretching down to his neck and a large scar cutting across the left of his face.

"yes," replies the long haired man, "something must be done about this..." he strokes his long facial hairs which spike and point like a trident at his chest.

"SILVER HAIR!!! DAMNIT!!!" the long mustachio'd gentleman slams his fist on the table. He is a bald man with a strange dotted birth mark across his brow. It looks just as angry as he is...

"Enough!" growls the blonde haired man. The only one of the four suits who is not wearing a tie. "We've been pondering this situation for too long as is. You already know my suggestion! So decide already!!!" A scar slicing up from his right chest to left neck reminds him of a time past.

"What about if we try something... different?" The bald man with glasses and no facial hair man suggests. He is the only one them not wearing a suit. Rather he adornes a white robe and sandles. His blade rests tired on his right shoulder.

"DIFFERENT!?"
"Ah come on let him speak"
"What do you have in mind?" three of them squabble

the white robe man continues "That prominent new pirate who we blamed for the massacre in the grand line? He could certainly do!"

"WHAAAAT!? A rookie??" the mustache man and the blonde man scream in disbelief.

The white robed man gets up and places his hand on his sword. "A vote is final. Unless you mean to fight?"

"Gentleman, gentleman!" the long haired man stand with his arms spread to block the two and palms open. "We all know those days are behind us haha" he nervously chuckles.

"Hrrrmph" the blonde man turns away "I actually agree for once. It's final, but I don't like it. And if he declines... well let's just say he won't like the amount of Bounty Hunters coming for him."

"Good" the man with the hat says "I'll inform Sengoku to update the bounties as well"

"AND WHAT ABOUT SILVER HAIR!?" the birth mark man shouts.

# Shaarib was anxious. Since they took the road towards the Marine Head Quarter, a little knot formed in his stomach and day by day, it grew bigger. Being called there meant two things for marines. Either you were going to be flushed away into the the abyss where no one will hear about you like Lee and Vulpes, or you were now a big shot. Being one of the best and the Marine wanted to give you more responsibilities or even give you a medal. Shaarib knew they wanted to give him a bullshit medal for « saving » his men from the ex-Rear-Admiral Frayz hence why he refused to go to the HQ directly after Punk Hazard. Shaarib felt that things might go south for the 169th. When the Fleet Admiral calls you and is pissed, it was never a good sign. Shaarib knew the error he made. He should’ve sent the reports of Vergo’s betrayal to the HQ but he wasn’t trusting them. The fact that a high ranking officer was a traitor was bad, but if you add the fact that Vergo was the leader of the G-5; one of the main base made it worse. That Joker dude was powerful if he had a pawn that deep in the organization.

They arrived 30 minutes ago but the winged-man didn’t want to leave his quarters. He was wearing a white suit and under it, he had a black turtle neck. He couldn’t put his rangers and Ayol refused he took his sandals like he always did when he was wearing a suit. She forced him to put some black loafers. He cut his beard leaving only a little mustache and now had a fade under his marine cap. He looked like an old man with his white beard. Harboring a mustache was more discrete. Finally he has his officer’s coat on with the Justice Kanji on his back. Taking a big inspiration, he left his quarters to in the main base. Behind as always stood Ayol, his right-hand. The blond woman wore the formal uniform of the troops. She wasn’t showing it but our hero knew she was happy. She was promoted to Captain. A big jump, Shaarib knew she deserved more.

Soldiers were looking at them when they entered the base. Yes, the man was 3 meters tall and he had wings. Shaarib was still anxious but he couldn’t show it no more. He harbored a feral grin when walking in the hall. Nobody was going to disrespect him. The main base was huge, too many corridors and stairs. Thankfully, Ayol had a map of the base. She might have asked for it during the time he didn’t want to go out. They quickly found the secretariat. One of them escorted him towards Sengoku’s office while Ayol began giving the files new clothes and for Cavendish’s bounty. They left the corpses on the Marijoie base.

The secretary knocked three times and opened the door. Shaarib stopped and looked at her going in the light. Letting go of a final sigh, he threw himself in, eyes closed and did a bow. #

"Rear Admiral" (少将, Shōshō?) is the fourth highest rank in the Marines. As the lowest of the Admiral ranks, they have the least amount of authority, yet they still have full command over any and all lower ranking marines. Despite being the lowest admiral rank, they are still known for being powerful fighters, and in some rare cases, rear admirals of high-enough caliber and reputation are given additional responsibility and authority, in the case of the rear admirals assigned directly to marine headquarters, with Hina as an example.

"Vice Admiral" (中将, Chūjō?) is the third highest rank in the Marines. These officers can have varying duties and amounts of authority. For example, one vice admiral, John Giant, is seen to have some special authority, as he was the first in the entire Marine Headquarters to receive the report of the Buster Call and could also evidently command other vice admirals to dispatch. There are always at least five vice admirals sent with a Buster Call fleet.

To be promoted from Rear Admiral to the next rank, Vice Admiral, one should have been able to accomplish a feat to be recognized by the Fleet Admiral. Taking down a pirate crew is an example of this. One can also reveal a certain corruption inside the government and report it to the HQ. They can also be an integral element in defeating one of the greatest power in the seas, Yonko or Shichibukai.

Inside the marine HQ.....
The lower ranking marines guarding the entrance and lobby of the HQ gathered and formed a line as they welcomed the arrival of Rear Admiral Shaarib in one of the three great bases of the World Government in the Grand Line, Marineford.

The ship wore the symbol of peace and justice in its sail, although partly wrecked which represents a recently concluded naval battle. Dozens of marine soldiers were rushing from the deck of the ship down to the main port to dock and assist the one in command to disembark.

"Attention!", a marine captain commanded to his troops situated in the port. "It's Rear Admiral Shaarib's battalion. Attend to the wounded and have the ship repaired ASAP!".

"You could say that again. He was able to defeat a sophomore pirate and a former prince's crew.", sofly whispered by the other marine.

"Is that true?!", the other man reacted in disbelief.

"I guess I already know what his reason was for coming here."

"You're right mate.", butted in by the other marine.

"A promotion?!!", a choral response by them in an amused manner.

After a while, the lieutenants in the secretariat spotted the arriv of the hero-would-be along with Captain Ayol in which one of them immediately attended to the two.... "Lieutenant Nescafe sir!! I am here to escort you to the Fleet Admiral's office. He has been expecting you.", one of the ladies in the secretariat.

As the marine captain handed them over the bounty files and evidences for the Cavendish. The other one walked them through Sengoku's office. And in front of a 5-meter clearance doorway, the Nescafe would knock thrice and escorted Shaarib on his way, "Here we are sir. Good luck and Congratulations in advance.", she continued as she opened the door.

"Come in!!", a voice from inside the room responded. Distinctly, you would also hear occasional chuckles and giggles and a few stomping on the floor. It's only to assume that there were more than a single man inside and apparently a meeting was being held at the time.

His coat has the kanji for justice, in blue, emblazoned on the back. After a while, Vice Captain Momonga handed over him photos of Vergo, Nero, Frayz, and Himself. "I want to commend you for taking down the Beautiful Pirates but I also want you to explain the connection between these four pictures and I need a definite answer of your failure!!"

"Hahahahahaha!!!" Sengoku, aren't you being too harsh with this boy? Hahahahaha!!! You should promote him first before scolding him?"

"Shut up Garp!!!!! You know how I hate people who obstructs justice, covering the truth, and lying to his superiors. I guess you understand that having a crimin son and a grandson, don't you? Garp?"

The Fleet Admiral was pissed, with each of his tap on his arms, you could hear the little noise from his numerous medals. Shaarib gulped and began searching for his files in his coat. When he got it, Vice Admiral Momonga had already gave some files to Sengoku. It was 4 photos, Vergo, that traitor Frayzah, Nero and finally himself ? When did they got a photo of him ?

At this point, Garp was trying to sneak out of the room with hia cookies but the former would yell at him, "And where are you heading at Garp?!"

"A military excerise. I guess you are all aware with what we call-", Vice Admiral Onigumo wasn't even able to finished himself when the 3 earlier marines intercepted. "League of Vice Admirals!!!!!"

Yamakiji motioned, "One shall be granted the power and authority a Vice Admiral should have if he passed the Hell Week.

Meanwhile, Momonga was quite pissed about the cockiness of the young marine. He would open his Asian mouth. "You! I don't like what words are coming out from that Skypiean mouth of yours. VA Dalmatian is one of the strongest VAs and you simply prejudged that you're beating him??!! Imbecile!!!", the enraged officer showed a grumpy face before holding the pommel of his katana, puffing out his chest, his left fist resting on his waist in 45 degrees angle, and raising his head as he statred at the man. He turned to the two navys before turning his back from all of them, imposing the word "Justice" imprinted on the back of his uniform. "Battle begins in 15 minutes. Ground section of the HQ."

Momonga gave another glare to the opposing party before following Garp's mandate as he went outside. The other officers would immediately go after the other.

Your opponent is a seasoned swordsman and one of the finest users of Rokushiki. Even the men in his league will have a hard time dealing with him. His weakness." All of the body of Shaarib would have been red If his skin could show how happy and embarrassed he was. The Fleet-Admiral was trusting him and even giving advice for him.With a nod, Shaarib began walking in the base again while whistling. Today was a good day. Behind him stood Lieutenant Nescafe. She was his savior ! Before going to the arena, Shaarib needed to change his outfit and he couldn't go to his ship, Ayol was going to kill him if she knew the situation he was in. Luckily he found something worthy, a black gi. Nescafe was going to keep all of his goods, his book, his cap and his glasses. The winged-man left the horrible sensation of suit for the liberty of movement that offered the gi. Under his, he still had his power suit which helped greatly by giving him a speed boost during his fights. Did he really need it for a fight that important ? He wasn't going to fight pirate, he was going to fight one of his own. He wanted to get the respect of his peers so he took off his second suit. Shaarib had not problem walking without shoes at his feet. He followed the lieutenant towards the training ground. Before going in, Shaarib tore his sleeves and push the door.#

Special seats were provided at the north and south ends respectively for the Fleet Admiral and other high ranking officials. Sengoku was seen seated next to Garp who was again picking his nose. Irritated Fleet Admiral would just roll his eyes with what he has seen. Flanking them at the same level was a broad platform for the League of VAs.

In the middle sector of the audience, seated Captain Very Good. He would be anchoring the whole event. "LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLE!!"

His initial announcement resonated across the battlefield with the support of advanced sounds system all over the arena. The crowd would then cheer on top of their lungs as they waited for the introduction of the two warriors.

Very good: "Good afternoon and welcome to today's friendly match which promises to be an integral battle in every sense of the word.

As part of the league's tradition, a promotion to a vice admiral shall be granted only if you are successful in combating one of your own. This had been in place since the reign of the great Hero, Garp!!! Garp... Garp!!!

And now, without further ado. In the red corner, weighing 400 pounds, standing eight foot three. The reigning Vice President of the League of Vice Admirals, current chief of the G1 base, and an undisputed master in swordsmanship........... Aaaaaaaaaah, The Angry Mustache, Vice Admiral Momongaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!"

Crowd: "Wooooooooooooooooooooh!!!! Momonga!!! Momonga!!! Momonga!!!"

John Giant: "Hahahahaha!!! Sure they love Monga like people always do. They cheer as if they've seen Hancock dashing in front of them... These fools' chants would be able to fully engulf my entirety with that volume.. I can feel the the microvibrations down through my veins..."

Momonga rose to his full height and advanced to his corner. His eyes were closed as he held onto his katana. Vice Admiral killer huh? Let's see. As he thought, he would slowly clasp his fist onto the handle of his katana before staring at the incoming opponent in the other corner. "I will end your life here and now.", he muttered.

# The arena was huge and full of soldiers ! Shaarib thought at least that the party was for a little community, him, the league and the Feet Admiral. What was in front of him wasn't no joke, where did they find the money to build a stadium ?! Shaarib tried to not think about the people around him, he began jumping on the same place to gauge on how much liberty he had with this new attire and how slow he got without his suit. A loud yell calmed the crowd. They even had a speaker to announce the fighters.

"LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLE!!"

The Angry Mustache, Vice Admiral Momongaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!"

"Wooooooooooooooooooooh!!!! Momonga!!! Momonga!!! Momonga!!!"

The soldiers really loved Momonga, this was going to hurt Shaarib's popularity real bad if he beat Momonga today. Maybe he had a fanbase too, Shaarib closed his eyes and was preparing himself to act cooler than ever. Ready to do some hand signs when the crowd would yell his name but the announcer decided otherwise. He had the worse announcement ever.

The one and only, Rear Admiral 'Daddy-samaaaaa'... Leader of the 169th branch... The self proclaimed Vice Admiral Killer... Shaarib Hassan…….

Crowd: "Booooooooooo.."

His fanbase didn't show up, he was the heel then, they didn't like him. The speaker done some research to find that Daddy-Sama thing, only his children knew about this. But what was the last epithet ?! Vice Admiral Killer ! Since when did he said something like that ! Now Momonga was going to come at him at full force with killing intent. Shaarib looked at Sengoku, was he the one that did that ? At least Shaarib weren't going to wait for the man to get angry. Momonga muttered something but the winged-man couldn't hear it. The Vice-Admiral already had a hand on his sword. He was ready so was Shaarib. The Rear-Admiral was excited, he gritted his teeth while his wings began trembling. Our hero was going at full throttle since the beginning. He was still jumping and suddenly disappeared, he profited for the fact that he was jumping to hit the floor ten times and used soru to get near the swordsman. The skypiean left hand was fully black, covered in hardening open, and his fingers were glued together. All of it forming a lance ready to drill in the right shoulder of his superior officer.vHe was going to force the man to fight an handicap match since the start. Shaarib knew something might happen, when traveling at that speed even him couldn't see much. He was ready to cover himself with Tekkai even if he was confident that the old man wouldn't be able to do much. Daddy-Sama's speed was his pride. Not everyday that you could see a man that weighted 200 kg move that quick. Shaarib was a bulldozer traveling faster than the wind. #

The veteran stood still inside the ring and felt the atmosphere while the anchor talked. As soon as the two parties were introduced, he was ready to start the battle. Being a more seasoned marine, he always knew what the youngsters early mistakes are - aggression. A similar mistake he had in the past. Although he still has it, he learnt how to turn that weakness into his own strength.

At this point, his foe was ready to display his first mistake as he activated soru just to get to the arena and at the same time propelled towards him and launch a signature attack he has been utilizing for a very long period of time - Shigan. And as the skypiean ventured with the wind, the Leauge's vice president was caught in surprised when the foe suddenly vanished from his sight. However, they were in a battle and with his years of experience training navys, it's only natural to combine soru with a subsequent attack. "!!!??!"

And while his challenger seemed like a blur in his eyes, he would anticipate the incoming as he relaxes his body before mustering his counter offensive. "Utsugi", the marine whispered, grinning at his foe. Using this, the very attack will aim to return the same amount of potential damage back to its launcher by hardening hos body using advanced Tekkai.

# Shaarib was surprised when he saw a grin appear on Momonga's face. Did the guy predict Shaarib's move ? It was atypical and when Shaarib's hands didn't pierce the man's shoulder, he frowned and knew too well that steel sensation. It was tekkai. Shaarib braced himself for the recoil coming and tried to coat his hand with tekkai like he feared but he wasn't quick enough. The recoil hit hard and Shaarib slipped on 3 meters behind and began jumping away kept from his target while keeping an eye on him. The winged-man began laughing, he had two fingers broken, his middle and ring fingers. The Rear-Admiral clapped his hand together, It hurt like hell but our hero didn't want Momonga to hold an advantage over him. Shaarib underestimated him and suffered, it was not happening twice. The skypiean opened his arms and said :

- You are good old monkey, you are. But are you sure your tricks are working ? I showed you one card, it's time you come with something too.

Shaarib needed to act calmly, he knew Momonga couldn't use Tekkai again for a long time. So he was going to bait the man at least until he could use Soru again to finally take full control of this fight. No one was going to keep him away from his Vice-Admiral title. This fight was a good experience for our hero. He wasn't used to fight people that knew the same technique he had in his arsenal. But if Momonga could predict his moves, he too could predict his. This was going to be fun, Shaarib taught as he began to feel the adrenaline rush.#

Momonga was successful in countering the strong Shigan by returning the shock back to its user. He hardened his body before the said technique landed, fracturing the fingers used by the foe in the process. And as he did, the other slipped away from him by several steps, refraining himself from mustering his next action.

"Hehe! You think I am fool enough to not anticpate what you're up to? You're quite skilled and rapid, I give you that. But a seasoned marine like us always knew what youngsters are thinking before they'd even muster their ace. Now that you've done it. How about you try it one more time and let's see how far this age of mine has done to my body. In the past, I will do the same against Garp but I already learnt my errs.. So.....", he said while holding up his palm before clamping his fingers into white-knuckled vise-grips. He pulled them in and fused his soul into the angry fist, magnifying it. *Piooooong* And as soon as they heard the sound of the armanent fist, he launched his right arm towards the opponent, projecting a spherical projectile of 10 compressed air blasts, about the size of a tennis ball, aiming to impale the aspiring vice admiral. "Rankyaku Fist!! Los Dinamitas"

Shaarib was a little impressed by what the man was saying but when he heard that the VA tried it against Garp, he began puffing barely able to hold his laughter. Who'll fight Garp the fist ?! A man that rivaled the King of Pirates ! But that meant something else, the requirement to be a Vice Admiral wasn't to win the fight. If it was, Momonga would have never be one. The man with the weird mustache cut the air with his hand and launched a rankyaku ! With his hand ! An atypical version, it was tennis balls that targeted Shaarib. The Rear Admiral responded with a rankyaku himself, by coating his left foot in hardening. The blue air blade dissipated in 10 others that took form of shrunken to meet with the projectiles. Shaarib knew he needed to move, this version of rankyaku was the weakest he could do. S it was just a distraction to help him evade and then attack. The winged man hit the floor ten times and disappeared for the second time in the match. Now Momonga had no possibilities to defend himself. Shaarib was attacking with his right hand, his left wasn't ready for another attack, coated in hardening. He was going to make a hole in his superior stomach while evading the vitals. At least he was hoping to. After hitting, Shaarib will have to calm down and just evade until Momonga bleed enough to get him unconscious. He was using too much haki since the beginning.#

"Momonga... Hehehehehe.. You motherfucker never really aged at all.. Hehehehehe..", John Giant said after witnessing how his old friend managed to deflect the hefty attack back to Shaarib before sending out Los Dinamitas to his opponent.

"I can still recall the very first time you battled against Garp! It was a pretty all-out clash of power. You did pretty well in turning back the clock by shifting your body into a human barricade, backfiring the very Shigan of our candidate! And then sending your signature Rankyaku as a welcome tics?? Well done my friend.", he continued.

Garp was grinning on his seat, crossing his arms as he beheld the counter move of his younger comrade. He recalled.

*Flashback* Many years ago....

"Fist of Love!!". Garp advanced to a younger Momonga who still have a pretty male kpop idol face with layered hair and not wearing any mustache at all. He delivered a right cross imbued with haki onto his challenger's face, denting his left cheek into his jaw while sending him into the wall of the cave they were fighting. He crashed and belted like a tin can hit hardly by a hammer! "Gyaaa", he grunted.

However, he was determined not to give up. His body was shaken, knees were numbing, his face might have been totally wrecked had he not hardened his entire face. "This man.. His a freak of nature." He slammed the ground with his right palm, pushing the earth so he would rise once more. "I am not weak. I will fight, even if it means death. I am a marine! And a worthy Rear Admiral to be known as a rightful Vice Admiral serving and protecting justice! Monkey D. Garp, huff. Huff. Huff. As he poked the tip of his sword into the soil, he attacked with his clenched right fist! Take this!!! Los Dinamitas!! Om---"

*End of Short Flashback*

"It was a perfect attack way back then, I must admit. And I am not gonna lie Sengoku. That same attack he just launched against me did a pretty good job in breaking my wall momentarily. But time really flies, wasn't it? It was supposed to be a lot faster and far more dangerous but none of those are apparent as you see it now. He has declined. And so were we." Garp said to his buddy without taking his eyes off of the fight. "He was a Vice Admiral the next morning he woke up. I personally pinned him his badge as he lied in bed. Hahahaha! I still remember how he almost broke my rib cage with them."

"That only means.", Sengoku stated, narrowing his eyes, wondering what's next.

"You're right...", Garp answered.

Somewhere in the stadium, John Giant, Dalmatian, and Strawberry were shown and they were discussing the battle. The latter butted in as if they were hearing what the two legends were talking. "He wouldn't be able to suspend much more. Especially against a younger marine possessing almost equal prowess. He is strong."

Back to Garp. "But the fight has only just begun. Hehehe."

"Are you trying to say that his going to use it?", Sengoku asked.

"Well, if that's the only source of hope dividing the thin line between triumph and humiliation.", Garp answered.

Back to the 3 Vice Admirals. Strawberry and Dalmatian opened their mouths. "Omnislash!!"

John Giant highlighted, "Indeed. What a dangerous act it will be."

Back to the fight, Momonga's spherical projectiles were challenged by the same volumes of spinning Shurikens made by Shaarib, blasting altogether like cannon balls meeting in the air. The crowd couldn't fathom what they've just witnessed. Two Rankyakus taking different forms of releases were clashing before their naked eyes. They roared in astonishment! "Woaaaaaaaaaarrrrrr!!!!!!"

"Holy fucking shit!!! What a marvelous exhange!!!", commented by Very Good via his mic. "What?! They're gone!!!!"

"They're gone!!!", crowds' seconded in amusement and surprise.

It was at this point that Shaarib mimicked the motion of a hopping monkey, pressing himself against the ring before catapulting towards his senpai with another Shigan!

Momonga at this point has already unsheathed his katana, infusing his will and determination into the entirety of the weapon. He gave the crowd a tight jaw and bare teeth. He spread out his reaction using both haki and kami-e before timing the arrival and launch of his foe's Shigan. He then kicked off to the left, which is the right side of Shaarib, evading the very attack with such an ease. Seeing the opening caused by Shigan, the Vice Admiral had such a good distance to cast his ultimate!

"God of Wind, come forth. In my blade, let there be storm. OMNISLASH!", he invoked while holding his sword leveled to his chest.

To initiate the attack, he started by spinning multiple times, swinging the blade across the air with all his might. While doing such, he was also launching multiple powerful near-simultaneous roundhouse kicks with his two legs. Altogether, It generated a succession of Rankyakus and a whirl of wind around the Vice Admiral, traveling to the direction of his foe!

Without a brief delay, he chased it down with a finishing spinning upward swing, aiding the initial chaos with tempest air slash. And finally it took the form of a rapid traveling twister whereby sweeping the ground and/or the target up and occupying the entire ring as it went further.

The marine officers present at the arena were flashed one after the other as the attack was released by Momonga, wearing similar grins on their faces.

"A whirlwind!!!!", yelled by the crowd.
