It'd explain the random panel of him after the fact. But it gives me a red herring vibes. Not sure why tho.

I have a feeling that most of the powers of the Gorosei's DFs don't actually work on Nika, thus why Saturn instead of 'stopping' him like he did to everyone else on the other side, he tell the marines to put a sea handcuff on him instead while Luffy continues to gobble food up.

Probably also why they are considered mortal enemies.

Everyone that Saturn wants to 'not move' pretty much cannot move, except Luffy. Which is why I think only Nika isn't affected by whatever he is doing.

Loved the chapter. But I’m so confused, I don’t even know where to start! So many questions. Here’s a few things I picked up from chapter:

1. What is the ‘Instinct Fragment’ Dragon spoke about? Is that Bonney’s new necklace?
2. Who helped Luffy? Kizaru?
3. Why can’t nobody move around Gorosei? Haki? Not even Kaido’s froze high-level peeps like Sanji. (though Shanks did freeze Green Bull)
4. How’s the fight between Lucci and Zoro going? Loling Oda needs to separate him for balance purposes.
5. Bonney’s fruit kind of OP. But her able to semi-transform like Nika, is that a hint of future?
6. On the last note, Saturn said Luffy’s Nika hasn’t “connected” to Bonney’s power yet. That’s a huge hint for an upcoming combination.
7. My favorite part of the chapter was Vegapunk being like… “Don’t hate the player, hate the game”. I’m just a scientist doing his job! Not blame you? Bro, you literally did it Rolf

Love Oda making characters soooo relevant. Like I never thought Bonney would be this. I thought she was a forgotten side character like Urogue.

Damn. These last few chapters have been pretty f*cked up even for One Piece's standards.

If we look at the ones who got frozen in place like Franky, Vegapunk, Sanji...what do they have in common? They are all cyborgs.

So considering Saturn is a "Warrior God of Science", he probably has some sort of ability that can mess up with those cyborgs.

Bonney and Luffy aren't cyborgs, so they can move freely.

How’s the fight between Lucci and Zoro going? Loling Oda needs to separate him for balance purposes.

Hot takes:
1. Zoro would murder Saturn if he was there, so Oda had to set him up against Lucci.

2. Luffy and Kizaru would also kick his ass, so Oda set them up to fight each other first to make the current situation helpless.

3. Saturn isn't a big deal. Maybe he's strong, but maybe he's also the weakest amongst the Five Elders. That's why he got introduced first.
