Planning to drop more theories now, and here we go. Wano and Onigashima will be a heavy focus for now and the future chapters so let's settle down here and drop theories!
With the new chapter 982, I received new insights into a topic that has been discussed and seemingly might be more and more of importance, hereby I wanna tackle it differently, with a new approach.
To come straight to the point, I don't think that certain Beast Pirates will be forever loyal to Kaido, some enemies we encounter give less harmful vibes off than neccessary.
Yes I am talking about Ulti and Page One, but especially Ulti. This character is writte in a way that it bonds with us and hence creates sympathy for the character. The fanbase right now is at high sympathy for especially the Flying Six and this was Oda's goal.
This explains why Luffy faced Ulti/Page One.
Reading Luffy's face, he gives off the expression of there being no time to waste, he is ready to brawl his way throughto the next checkpoint.
And here I think that characters like Ulti and Page One will not be done off that early, and hear me out on my reasoning.
We know about Luffy's secret ability to turn over enemies or rivals into allies or supporters. This was mentioned by Hawkeyes himself, so this has to be accurate and we always see it proven. Just recently the Prisoner Mine.
I wouldn't wonder if similair will happen on Onigashima in bigger extend. And Oda, in my opinion is hinting towards it with this encounter Luffy vs Ulti.
I think especially Ulti will evolve an opposing relationship with Luffy to Kaido, where she will show more respect and love towards Luffy than Kaido, this given off by the way Oda wrote Ulti.
Whoever will join the storm that will turn over to Luffy, I think it will be many more characters than we will expect and we will all go back to the epic one shots Luffy made and especially to this epic encounter with Ulti. Just look at this rereadworthy panels.
So that is my theory, I hope you liked it and expect more of these comming from me in future. Nothing extra sized, but something we can look forward to on long term.
