If those DF's and items do return they will come back into circulation so you can't purchase them. It won't be the same when Smileyman vanished and you was able to purchase the Goro Goro no Mi, as i did ask and was told that would not be happening if anyone goes inactive.

Agreed with Ziosa.

I count 6 high-profile fruits between 5 of our most historically active players, all who are taking a well-deserved break. Taking their fruits, particularly for the malicious reason Cross stated, would likely push them to retire or make them not return. Not a good move for the long-term viability of the RP.

How long does the period of absense have to be before you lose youe fruits? Getting that question out of the way immediately for future reference

it entirely depends: disappearing with a reason and without one is different scenarios. If someone is gone for over a year with no messages anywhere then they will definitely have their things taken, but aside from something like this its a lot harder to judge

Sorry. Not sure what you mean. Could you provide an example?
Let's say there is an island with few NPCs.

I like the concepts of the NPCs but officially i can't recruit them.

Lets say his name is danille of level 40.

Can i buy a slot of lv 40 (like normal) and create an identical NPC as my personal NPC?
AkA can i steal the NPC idea without recruiting them if they are non canon?

Would you be changing the name? Or would you be going for a 1:1?

I will change name if its required. But its not like there are no multiple peoples with same names
What is stopping you from going to that island and just yoinking the NPC?
You can buy the right to use an NPC of that level in the store thread afterwards.

I think that should be allowed, right?

@FELI D AEROM

If it's a non-canon character from BG's or events that have been used;
  • Ask for permission as you don't know what the owner might have planned
If it's on an island then you should do the following;
  • Create a storyline like how Straw Hats recruiting without the story being a recruiting adventure
    • For example; Water Seven
      • Straw Hats didn't go to that location to recruit Franky but something else but somehow due to events that transpired it pushed for Franky joining
  • Or you could go with how the Straw Hats wanting a Cook;
    • Baratie for Sanji;
      • Straw Hats arrived to Baratie and ended up having ordering "one of everything" then have Luffy pay for it by cleaning dishes and the build up of Sanji and Zeff
        • Don Krieg was the villain of the arc iirc been a while since i read Baratie but the live action is coming to mind

I mean; Oars (sorta technically kinda) and Koza are on PC crews. I personally dunno about cloning them exactly but you should be able to recruit the actual character depending on story and if you have the spot available.

Should be- but that’s a bossman-type decision I reckon.

@Copy NPCs:
Ideally, no. Could you make a bearded promiscuous old man with lightning powers and call him Kirin (but modeled after Zeus), I guess. But generally frowned upon.

@Island NPCs:
Generally, no. Even if you conquer an island, the NPCs stays there (unless special circumstance like Katakuri being in Wandering NPC thread and not in WCI). You may not conquer Yukuriy island and have Shanks accompany you as you go to other islands. There are exceptions, such as Beast Tamers and some purchases. The Koza thing has always been erroneous.

You may do what Eisenhauer did in Amazon Lily, where through IC he had an Amazoan join his crew. Kaka did the same thing with Cyla in Cipher Pol 3 (?). However, those were not island NPCs - that’s the difference. But you (or the GM) may make up a character in an island in the same manner and have then join you IC.
