Background History

"I'm a Sage, not a Saint."

Chronicles of the Past
  • 32 Years Ago: A Human Friend
  • 27 Years Ago: Violent Regret
  • 25 Years Ago: Exacting Revenge
  • 23 Years Ago: Wallowing in Despair
  • 17 Years Ago: “The Monkey Sage”
  • 5 Years Ago: A CP9 Agent is Born!
Kuraigana Island - A Human Friend
Born in the Humandrill clan of Kuragaina Island, Sun was the youngest of the dozen children, often ignored for his older brethren, but bred by happy parents. At age 5, humans grew closer to the forest as they expanded their kingdom. Wandering out of curiosity, Sun found a small boy his age. Every day for five years the two played. Sun finally found a friend, and home. In them, the commingling of the races was foretold.

Kuraigana Island - Violent Regret
Turmoil plagued the kingdom in the heart of Kuragaina Island, and civil war erupted. Sun’s only friend, the boy, came to the Humandrill’s for help. Yet the Humandrill Elders turned him away; they knew who their people would become if they saw bloodshed. Sun pleaded to his elders to allow him to go, yet the request was denied. The Humandrills could not risk seeing War and mimicking the violence. Sun followed orders, and regret followed. A few days later news spread: the kingdom had fallen, and the boy was murdered. Sun fell into a spiral of despair full of regret.

Kuraigana Island - Exacting Revenge
Two years passed as Sun trained to avenge his friend, watching humans in shadows fight and battle. His body copied their abilities, their anger, their darkness. In a fit of rage, blinded by his copied anger, Sun single-handed ly slaughtered the soldiers of the new regime, the entire army. Sun was only 12 years old. The remaining humans fled the island, now taken over by the Humandrill’s.

Kuraigana Island - Wallowing in Despair
The World Government heard news of the powerful being who single-handed ly took down an Empire. When the CP found Sun, they found a wild downtrodden monkey. His rage had left him, only despair left. The slaughter did not bring his friend back; it only added to the guilt. Cipher Pol offered him a chance to make up for his crimes, by stopping people who would be like him and the regime that killed his friend.

G-2 Island - “The Monkey Sage”
Ten years used to create the perfect warrior. However, try as they might, they could not break the Humandrill’s Spirit. Sun was chosen to infiltrate kingdoms, often for years at a time, and learn the way of the inhabitants. When triggered, he would make whole kingdoms crumble from inside and out, using politics and instigating Revolution. He was so good at it, they dubbed him the nightmare of kings, eventually earning the epiteth: “The Monkey Sage”.

Enies Lobby - A CP9 Agent is Born!
After decades of kingdom ruin, he earned enough acollades to be transferred to CP9, the highest know CP agency. Given a license to kill, he began his life as an agent. His true goal, undeterred by the wanting of the government, was to stop those who would commit the same mistake he did and shape his people into doers, so that their inaction does not bring more regret. Sun wanted to use the WG’s resources to bridge the gap of inequality that led to the war that slew his friend. To earn redemption; so he would one day be able to face his friend.

Syrup Island Plucking the Weeds
Start - End
Stationed in East Blue to pluck the weeds before they bloom. Sun begun his life as an agent exterminating those who would bear the next generation. Sun came face-to-face with Captain Kuro, an infamous pirate in East Blue. To protect the village and it’s benefactor, Kaya, Sun and Shin fought Kuro to a death match. The teamwork felled Kuro and ensured the continued safety of the village. Sun took the defeated Captain Kuro to Impel Down.

Toroa Island: The Death Note
Start - End
A town fiddling with Pirates. A symbiotic relationship in the face of Justice. Sun was sent to Toroa Island to take down the 200b Beri musical Captain; Yorki of the Rumbar Pirates, and liberate the town. Sun Wukong gained valuable intel and reported back to the WG. An impending full-scale attack was incoming.

Caribou Pirates: Hunting Caribou
Start - End
To deny entry to the New World. Sun Wukong sneaked into the ship and, through the use of stealth, attacked the Caribou Pirates. A sneak attacked wounded Coribo, later felled. Sun used a lie to kill Caribou, taking his fruit. Coribo was imprisoned in Impel Down. The kill made Sun more sadistic. Sun Wukong found evidence of a certain someone who had ordered the brothers to transport arms: his vice-chief of CP9, Lucci.

Skypiea: Dividing the Sky
Start - End
The mission was to Divide the Sky. Fearing the Sky would meddle in the Ocean, the World Government sent Sun Wukong, a proven asset in making turmoil in kingdoms. Sun found the Bilkians and Skypieans in a Cold War, blinded to who the culprits were. Playing both sides, Sun ousted both sides, stating a terrible Civil War with the defeat of Shandian Wiper. Councilman Genin ended with God's Staff, ushering a new division in the Sky to last for decades.

Enies Lobby: The Battle for Enies Lobby
Start - End
Enies Lobby was under attack! Azrael “The Forgotten”, a Lunarian, led a small coalition of pirates that fought their way to the courtyard, leaving bodies in their wake. The CP9 welcoming party met them - Blueno, Kumadori, Fukurou, and Kalifa. Sun Wukong arrived just in time to save his fellow agents, handily defeating Ohm and Azrael, killing the latter on orders. A promise between Sun and Azrael allowed the other Vampirates to withdraw. Fukurou was MIA. Azrael’s body was taken away by CP0. For his efforts, CP0 extended a contingent offer to join their ranks. Wukong would have to prove himself one more time by taking in the World Pirates.

World Pirates: Becoming The Hunted
Start - End
Cipher Pol Aegis required one more tribute to accept the Humandrill into their ranks. The mission was to find and defeat the World Pirates, an infamous pirate crew that had attacked a World Noble ship, their new weapons threatening whole islands. Sun Wukong and his novice Marine ally Kuvira confronted the World Pirates at sea. The duo was victorious, with Sun Wukong defeating Brynddi World himself. World was allowed to die on his terms, with his own ship. A young World Pirate fooled by the vengeful Brynddi World, Hagiri, was granted the mercy of surviving the ordeal, now accompanying Sun Wukong until he could find his own path.

Egghead Island: A Meeting with Dr. Vegapunk
Start - End
Sun Wukong and Hagiri journeyed to Egghead Island to meet Dr. Vegapunk covertly. They faced obstacles, including an encounter with S-Bear and an attack by Cipher Pol 0. Despite the challenges, Sun's impassioned plea for equality and renewable energy convinced Dr. Vegapunk to trust them. Sun became Dr. Vegapunk's ally within the World Government. When CP0 invaded, Sun, Hagiri, and their allies repelled the attack, but Admiral Kizaru's arrival posed a new threat. The Admiral swiftly defeated the group. With Leo's distraction, they managed to drive Kizaru away with a giant combined attack, securing Egghead Island and earning Dr. Vegapunk's gratitude.

Little Garden: Hunting the Shichibukai
Start - End
The events at Egghead Island rattled Cipher Pol, prompting Aegis to tighten their ranks and temporarily halt entry to their ranks. In response, Sun Wukong infiltrated Cross Guild, pursuing their bounty on the recently disbanded Shichibukai Edward Weevil. After a grueling battle, Sun emerged victorious against the son of Whitebeard. However, Sun's nakama, Waka, made the ultimate sacrifice to shield Sun and uphold his dream. Retrieving Whitebeard's Bisento from Weevil as evidence, Sun presented it to Aegis. This decisive action solidified his acceptance into Cipher Pol, marking a significant stride toward his aspirations.

The Moby Dick: Eliminating the Old Era
Start - End
Operation Epilogue.

Character Attributes

"Dreams without goals, are just dreams. The naivety of my youth has been shaken.
I now understand equality alone cannot stop war."

Attributes & Personality

Appearance
A Humandrill, Sun possesses long, wild black hair that flows from his head past his shoulders, reminiscent of his thick eyebrows. His body is covered in red fur, except for his chest, and he sports a tail wrapped around his waist. The agent wears a fitted double-breasted white suit and a red tengu mask. Sun's eyes are accented with a crimson-colored shadow trim that encircles his eyes and extends over his eyelids. A prominent X-shaped scar marks his left cheek, a memento from an encounter with an old nemesis.

Personality
Sun is sagacious and wise, opting for cryptic metaphors that often serve to deliberately irk others, a source of great amusement for him. Despite his age, Sun exudes eccentricity, displaying an excitable and energetic demeanor. He frequently bursts into loud laughter and has a penchant for referring to himself in the third person. However, when driven by the mission or the pursuit of equality, Sun adopts a strictly ruthless demeanor, adhering to the principles of Proportionate Justice.

Goals
Following the loss of his first friend to the ravages of war, Sun was profoundly affected, bearing witness to the harsh realities of hatred and inequality pervasive in the world. His service within Cipher Pol exposed him to widespread racial disparities fueled by ignorance and resource-driven conflicts. In response, Sun established the Sage Squad, dedicating himself to honor his friend's memory by leveraging the extensive resources of the World Government to combat prejudice and bridge societal divides, fostering unity and tolerance.

Weapons & Equipment

Murakumogiri
Murakumogiri is one of the 12 Supreme Grade Swords, once belonging to the infamous pirate Edward Newgate. The meito is long Tomoe type naginata, with a red and yellow striped pole, and a large, curved blade attached to the pole edge. Murakumogiri has been outfitted with an Eisen Dial imbued in the center, and is longer than Sun Wukong himself. The non-bladed edge is imbued with seastone and a Heat Dial, able to sear and ignite anything it touches.
  • Heat Dial (x1)
  • Eisen Dial (x1)
  • Milky Dial (x1)
  • Lightning Dial (x1)
  • Seastone Tip (x1)
Dial Inventory

Hologram Creator
Dr. Vegapunk bestowed upon the Humandrill a remarkable invention following their heroic efforts on Egghead Island: a device enabling Sun Wukong to generate holographic projections of individuals known to him. These holograms possess customizable speech and actions, and can even be programmed to activate on a timer.

Modified Humandrill
Following the incidents at Egghead Island, Dr. Vegapunk undertook genetic enhancements on Sun Wukong, resulting in notable improvements to his physical capabilities. These modifications included a reinforced exoskeleton, enhanced muscle strength, and heightened agility. However, an unintended consequence of these alterations is the periodic transformation of Sun Wukong's hair from black to red.
  • Being a modified human grants you a +5 in one stat and +5 in another, as well as increases your healing ability. Cannot go over 100. Limited to 1 use only.

Cipher Medicine

Adrenaline Shot
Requires 61 Mastery:
The medic can administer this treatment to their target, revitalizing exhausted allies and enabling them to rejoin the fight for a duration of 3 turns. However, after this period, the treated individual will faint once again. This treatment can only be applied to the same person once per 'arc'.
Requirements: 61 Mastery
Inventory: Mastery / 50 shots

Stat Boost Injections
The medic can administer this injection to themselves or their allies, temporarily boosting one of the following stats by 10 for a duration of 3 turns: Strength, Reaction Speed, Movement Speed, or Durability. However, once the three turns have elapsed, the affected individual experiences fatigue and a corresponding decrease of -10 in the boosted stat for another three turns. During this period of fatigue, the affected individual cannot receive another boost until the fatigue wears off.
The medic can carry Mastery/20 injections.
Requirements: 61 Mastery
Inventory: Mastery / 20 injections

Rumble Balls: Minks
A mink user can eat rumble balls to unlock their sulong form at any time of day for three turns. If eating more than two rumble balls within ten turns, the user will rampage regardless of mastery, attacking anyone within range and DPR rank capped at A-rank.
Requirements: 61 Medicine. Eaten only by zoans/minks
Inventory: Mastery / 20 rumble balls

Rumble Balls: Zoans
This ability grants the user access to three (3) additional modified forms of their Devil Fruit power for three (3) turns, along with the ability to enter Monster Point. However, after the duration of these enhanced forms, the user experiences fatigue for six (6) turns. If the user consumes another Rumble Ball while fatigued, they gain access to modified forms for an additional turn but will suffer from fatigue for an additional two (2) turns afterward. Consuming yet another Rumble Ball enables the user to enter Monster Point for three (3) turns, but they will faint after the duration of this transformation. Modified forms can enhance specific attributes, such as increased strength in the arm for a boost of +1 (DPR). Monster Point elevates the user's vitality, strength, and speed to a level equivalent to +25, akin to an awakened form. However, in this state, the Zoan user becomes enraged and indiscriminately attacks anyone within range, with their DPR rank capped at A-rank.
Requirements: 61 Medicine. Eaten only by zoans
Inventory: Mastery / 20 rumble balls

Regeneration Shot
The medic can administer this to their target, regenerating damaged allies. It regenerates 100 per turn on the ally up to 200. The medic can carry Mastery/60 regeneration shots. Can only be applied to the same person once per 'arc'.
To heal each part the user need to fill up the numbers.
Minor damages: 50
Deep cut in muscles: 100
Missing/ruined limb: 150
Destroyed organ: 200
Near death injuries: 250
Inventory: Mastery / 60 regeneration shots

Poison
Creates poison that closely cripples the target upon entering their body. Fully crippled can be undone by an antidote. Takes 1 turn to work. Once a poison fully drains energy from the user they can only be awoken by antidote and an adrenaline shot.
Slow Poison (21 Medicine) | (stamina+level)/10=turns to fully drain
Fast Poison (41 Medicine) | (stamina+level)/20=turns to fully drain
Crippling Poison (81 Medicine | (durability+level)/30=turns to paralyze fully
Hyper Poison (100 Medicine) | (stamina+level)/30=turns to fully drain

"We honed our skills to serve the government and overcome the limits of the human body.
We gained six superhuman fighting skills through that training."

Rokushiki

Geppou [First Form]

Kamisori
Requirements: 46 Rokushiki, 41 Strength and 61 Movement
Description: A combination of Geppo and Soru, where the user uses Soru in a zigzag motion in midair, allowing extremely fast movements in three dimensions.

Soru [Second Form]
Description: The Soru allows the users to move at extremely high speeds in by kicking off the ground at least ten times in the blink of an eye.The user's movement speed is increased by Mastery/5.
11-40 mastery: 3 turn cool down
41-80 mastery: 2 turn cool down
81-100 mastery: 1 turn cool down
Yaiba “Blade”
Requirements: 41 Rokushiki, 41 Strength, 41 Movement
Description: A variation of Soru in which the user performs said high-speed movement with only their hand or leg, instead of their whole body. By hitting the air ten times in the blink of an eye with his elbow, the user launches his arm in a punching maneuver in the blink of an eye, much like Luffy's Gear Second's Jet Attacks.
DPS: B

Soru ”Rankyaku Firebird"
Requirements: 71 Mastery, 61 Strength, 61 movement speed
Another combination move where the user dashes forward with soru while extending their kicking leg. By using the momentum one can afterwards deploy a technique that combusts high air pressure by grinding the ground during the dash. The user can guide the fire created by kicking it towards the enemy.
DPS: A Rank

Shigan [Third Form]
Description: The Shigan is a close-quarter combat technique, in which the user pushes their finger into a certain target at a very high speed, leaving a wound similar to a bullet wound.
41-60 Mastery: Destructive potency: B
61-80 Mastery: Destructive potency: A
81-100 Mastery: Destructive potency: S
Shigan Cue
Requirements: 41 Rokushiki, 41 Strength
Description: In this attack, the user uses his blunt staff in the same way a finger is normally used in Shigan.
DPS: B

Kazegon
Requirements: 51 Rokushiki, 51 Strength
Description: Using the principles of Jugon, the user punches the air, shooting an arblast towards his opponent; widespread or focused.
DPR: B

Ashigan ”Leg Pistol”
Requirements: 41 Mastery, 41 Strength
The user kicks with their legs at the speed of a shigan, able to pierce and or attack at jabbing like speeds.
DPS: B

Shigan "Oren"
Requirements: 51 Rokushiki, 51 Strength
Description: This attack is simply a rapid-fire version of the normal Shigan technique that hits the enemy multiple times. The user can also perform this attack with both hands, increasing AoE.
DPS: B

Jusshigan
Requirements: 61 Rokushiki, 61 Strength
Description: In this attack, the user puts both of his hands together and performs Shigan with all ten of his fingers at once, greatly damaging the opponent.
DPS: A

A high-speed version of Jugon mimicking the shigan Madara variant but instead of regular shigans, Jugon is being used.
Rank: A

Gekko Jusshigan
Requirements: 81 Rokushiki, 71 Strength, 61 Movement
Description: A combination of Jusshigan and Geppo. After using Geppo to get himself into the air, the user finally uses it to launch himself towards his target in a vertical drop. The added momentum and the vulnerable target makes the following Jusshigan more effective, and harder to avoid.
DPS: S

Rankyaku [Fourth Form]
The Rankyaku is a powerful projectile technique, in which the users start by kicking at very high speeds and strength, sending out a sharp compressed air blade that can slice objects and cause great damage.
31-50 Mastery: Destructive potency: C
51-71 Mastery: Destructive potency: B
71-99 Mastery: Destructive potency: A
100 Mastery: Destructive potency: S
Rankyaku "Renge"
Requirements: 51 Rokushiki, 51 Strength
Description: In this attack, Rankyaku is performed with both legs instead of one, causing multiple cuts on either side of the opponent. The cuts at first appear small and then "blossom" into larger ones.
DPS: B

Rankyaku "Gaicho"
Requirements: 51 Rokushiki, 41 Strength
Description: the user creates a large Rankyaku in the shape of a bird, . This Rankyaku has a much wider range, greater attack power, and is capable of cleaving steel - something not witnessed from other variations. The cut also seems more focused.
DPS: B

Rankyaku "Ran"
Requirements: 51 Rokushiki, 41 Strength
Used by Kaku. After using Geppo to launch himself into the air, Kaku stabs his swords into the ceiling to stay in the air, then launches multiple Rankyaku with both legs. Each cut is smaller than a normal Rankyaku. Lucci also used a version of this attack (without the swords) during his fight with Luffy, but he did not name it.
DPS: A

Rankyaku "Hakurai"
Requirements: 61 Rokushiki, 61 Strength
Description: A much more powerful form of Rankyaku that is used by using both legs, it appears to cut the air in a larger area.
DPS: A

Rankyaku "Amane Dachi"
Requirements: 100 Rokushiki, 100 Strength
Description: Used by Kaku. The user spins around quickly in a circle while standing on one hand, and then performs Rankyaku with both legs to create a circle shaped Rankyaku which radiates outward horizontally. The attack was powerful enough to cut through the outer walls of the Tower of Justice in all directions, inflicting massive damage. Kaku eventually learned to perform it while in human form, airborne and without needing to position himself on his hand.
DPS: S+

Tekkai [Fifth Form]
Description: The Tekkai hardens the users' muscles to the level of iron, in order to nullify damage taken from attacks. The user hardens their body, increasing Durability by Mastery/5.
11-50 mastery: 2 turn cool-down
51-80 mastery: Can move while having tekkai activated.(2 turn cooldown)
Moving Tekkai requires 1 turn cool-down.
81-100 mastery: Using tekkai while moving has a 1 turn cool-down. Standing still tekkai has no cool-down.
Tekkai "Utsugi"
Requirements: 41 Rokushiki, 41 Strength, 41 Durability
Description: This form of Tekkai is used entirely as a counter instead, where the purpose is not to absorb damage from the attack, but to transfer the shock of the attack back to the attacker, which can lead to broken bones in a normal human body. (2 turn cooldown)

Tekkai "Go"
Requirements: 51 Rokushiki, 51 Strength and 51 Durability
Description: Visually, the move differs from the ordinary Tekkai in that the user visually tenses his body even further while standing still; the ordinary Tekkai could be activated seamlessly.

Tekkai "Sai"
Requirements: 46 Mastery, 41 Strength, 41 Movement Speed and 41 Durability
Description: After using Geppo to project himself towards his opponent, the user uses Tekkai to harden his body, smashing the enemy.
DPS: B

Tekkai Kenpo "Iron Mass Fist Law"
Requirements: 71 Mastery, 61 Strength, 61 durability
Description: Used by Jabra in his Human-Beast Form. Using Tekkai Kenpo, Jabra is able to move while using Tekkai. Tekkai Kenpo is also an entire fighting style, with various techniques of its own.
DPS: A

Tesshi “Iron Fingers”
Requirements: 71 Mastery, 61 Strength, 61 durability
Description: A selective mode of tekkai that is mostly used as a combination with Shigan to increase piercing damage. But can be used as shockfactor to block attacks with only one finger.
DPS: A

Tekkai Kenpo Genkai (Tekkai Kenpo - Limit)
Requirements: 71 Mastery, 61 Strength, 61 durability
Description: A more advanced version of tekkai gou but instead of flexing the entire body the user flexes one or both their arms. Upon activating their biceps expand exponentially, increasing their strength far beyond their normal limits. The resulting blows in this form leave hand imprints into the area they punch. A side effect of buffing one's muscles to their limit is that the user needs to rest for several turns before being able to use TekkI again. Tekkai buf goes to strength instead of durability, 2 turn CD
DPS: A Rank

Kami-e [Sixth Form]
Description: The Kami-e makes the users' body extraordinarily flexible in order to avoid any attacks, float, and bending their body like a piece of paper, increasing their reaction speed by Mastery/5. Cannot attack.
11-50 mastery: Must stand in one place (2 turn cool down)
51-81 mastery: Can move around. (2 turn cool down) Standing still while using Kami-E has a 1 turn cooldown.
81-100 mastery: Can move around.(1 turn cool down) Standing still while using Kami-E has no cooldown.
Kami-E “Slime”
Requirements: 51 Rokushiki, 51 Reaction
Description: Instead of the body becoming limp like paper, it stretches and moves in ways slime or sludge would move in order to avoid attacks.

Kami-e "Zanshin"
Requirements: 81 Rokushiki, 81 Reaction
Description: Used by Stussy. Instead of the body becoming limp like paper, the user appears to relax but actually moves with high speed around their opponent, leaving the opponent to attack an afterimage of the user.

Kami-e Zanshin Suru
Description: A parrying technique. The user weaves next their opponent's attack with Kami-e. When weaving past it with Kami-e, the user employs a Shigan to hit the attack from its side, re-directing it in a parry. The parry is only effective if the DPR is equal or greater than the opposing attack.
Requirement: 61/81 Mastery, 61/81 Strength
Rank: A/S

Rokougan [Final Form]
Requirements: 81 Mastery, 81 Strength
Description: This is the ultimate Rokushiki technique that can damage an opponent internally, similar to the Reject Dial, but much more powerful. It appears to be two fists held at close range that can damage the opponent with a powerful blast.
DPS: S
Kenjuougan
Requirements: 61 Rokushiki, 61 Strength, 61 Armaments
Description: A variation ultimate attack of the Rokushiki style, that though releases less power, it can be done more often. The user generates tremendous amounts of impact force at extremely close distances, by a quick movement of the wrist at the end of a punch. This released the pent-up impact force and creates a small, but devastating, shockwave that damages internally, rather than externally.
