Shaarib, after erasing the festering behemoth's remains looked around for a moment, his piercing, red eyes taking in the darkness-shrouded surroundings. The spirits were invisible to Shaarib, but he could feel their pull, weaker ones all around him, but two strong ones right before him.
Shaarib stepped forward, taking in his bounty: Song Wuji. The corpse that Shaarib had flown through the night for, enslaved for what felt like an endless, cloudy night.
Now, though, the marine could look down at his prize, it was tangible now; the phoenix-man's goal was now literally within reach.
Vice-Admiral Hassan moved on a ways from Wuji's corpse and went to Yuki's charred remains, just as he had left her in the raging inferno of his attack. Her spirit was strong, almost rivalling the corrupted soul of the high priest, however it was still drowned from a distance from.
The closer Shaarib got, the lighter he felt; he had already found a sense of peace in his own goddess. Now Shaarib's peace-of-mind was being firmly fastened by this kind, glowing energy. Unlike the sad, angry, bitter, scared, mischievous spirits and souls lingering in this place; this one was different.
There was understanding in what was happening, in what had happened. A wordless thought of peace and love towards the man who had slayed her, it was as though the Vice-Marine was being embraced into a gentle hug, hardly felt. There was no fear to be felt, no sadness or shame. There was no anger or stress from the night. The sleepiness remained, but the inflicted burdens were lifted in this moment.
Yuki offered this favor to Shaarib in understanding that he was a good man with a good cause, she knew he would see an end to the suffering caused by Song Wuji.
She was gone now, or perhaps sealed in...But it was as though she merely waited long enough to grant Shaarib a sense of rest from his torment and to ease his guilt. Shaarib was left alone in the damp room, only the fettered corpse of his short-term rival waiting for him.
Behind him he heard shuffling, with a quick turn he noticed nothing but the corpse, exactly where it was left...
The shuffling continued though, not from Song Wuji's remains...But from around the room's corners. Dark clumps removed themselves from the wall and fell to the floor, dragging themselves to the center of the ground-level.
The scraping of bones and squishing of flesh became and louder and louder, bones from countless decayed bodies fell together in a horrifying amalgam. The pile grew and grew before Shaarib's eyes, and in mere moments there was a "body" formed, freakish in nature; full human forms creating the monstrosity's arms, a pile of corpses to move, a mound of skulls resting atop the construct... The monster slowly dragged itself forward towards the Vice-Admiral.
As it loomed up to the raised section Shaarib was on, the fettered corpse of Song Wuji cracked and shifted. The empty eye sockets sprang to life with green fire filling the voids once more. The ruined priest's body snapped into the construct, becoming the "head" of the corpse colony.
Song Wuji was enacting a death sentence from beyond the grave for Shaarib Hassan, the intruder that ruined his vile world. One last trick from the corpse puppeteer...

King Shark's smirk faded a bit. "I'm sending you back to your captain without your top-half, I hope he's alright with that."
His arms outstretched over top of the water's surface and he gripped onto it once more, this time however he seemed to pull the top of the ocean up like a sheet of fabric from a pile. The shark-man briefly moved his arms around to keep the ocean under his commands before:
With a violent heave upwards, King Shark sent a large geyser up to meet the tricky target in the sky. The cold ocean water roared out in a frenzy as it found itself unnaturally moving upward, the pounding noise approached Cletus rapidly; the sound of haki crackling like electricity from within the waves.
"Come on in, little firefly. The water's nice!" It seemed the pirate was unfazed by Cletus' threat, only moved to continue the fight further.
While most of the fishman crew waited for their captain's order to engage, it seemed the serpent was slowly spiraling upwards from the depths. The size became more and more imposing as the shadow grew on the water's surface. The sea-monster, perhaps driven by hunger or a need for vengeance... Seemed to be preparing itself to attack Cletus alongside its captain. As it moved upwards, a forgotten snail-phone unfortunately fell directly into the gaping maw of the monster, disappearing along with its muffled ringing.
It was apparent, even from this distance and the low-visibility from the thinning fog, that this seaking would be able to rip the Lunarian straight from the sky without an issue.
The sun was now fully risen and the morning was in full motion, with the (soon-to-be) dismissal of the fog... There would be only Cletus in the wide-open air, a target just waiting to be hit.
The feeding frenzy begins...

Now, though, the marine could look down at his prize, it was tangible now; the phoenix-man's goal was now literally within reach.
The corruptive shell of magical energy surrounding the priest's corpses manifested first in Shaarib's subconscious then dredged them up into the forefront of the marine's mind. Dreams turned goals, ideas that could be made achievable through the use of Song Wuji's unique form of witchcraft; surely the techniques could be replicated...The words were getting louder as he approached the high priest. The vile energy in the air was consuming him. He fell on his knees and clutched his head. Shaarib could not hear anything else. Song Fuji was prying into his most profound complex, fears, doubts, and dreams.
Pulling himself from the toxic flights of fancy that were beginning to overtake him, Shaarib shook himself loose from the dark grasp finding purchase in his heart, the grasp that the diabolical priest was inflicting from beyond the grave, seemingly. Invisible tendrils snapped from Shaarib and it seemed for a moment that the priest's corpse twitched in response to the sudden separation.- " What am I saying ?" said Shaarib panting

Yuki offered this favor to Shaarib in understanding that he was a good man with a good cause, she knew he would see an end to the suffering caused by Song Wuji.
Effortlessly and gently he lifted Yuki up and in that moment her hold on him came into full strength forcing quiet tears from his eyes. She had found her peace and was eager for Shaarib to find his, though he would need finish his own journey to see peace. Shaarib gave her a dignified coffin rather than her corpse resting in this secluded crypt that she was imprisoned in and as he shut the coffin the feeling faded, leaving a lingering sense of acceptance in the man, a sense of compassion for himself and others; Yuki's emotions overpowering those of the previous victims of these occult experiments being conducted. He went on to do the same thing with Yuki and if it took more time than necessary or if the kid saw tears on the Vice-Admiral's face as he put the woman delicately in her coffin, nobody would speak about it.

"Can't say that's by accident, kid. Azure City is my turf." Responded the fishman. "This ain't a playground for marines or pirates.""Fufufufufufufufu...Honestly I'm a little disappointed. The lack of hospitality is astounding!" Cletus said sarcastically.
King Shark's smirk faded a bit. "I'm sending you back to your captain without your top-half, I hope he's alright with that."
King Shark's body seemed to tense then relax before he let out a short chuckle. It seemed that Cletus' confidence impressed, or at least amused, the rival pirate crew's captain. "Let's see you try it, kid." The shark said confidently in a deep register, unfaltering in his position...Mostly."Fufufufufufufufufu!! Maybe once I would have considered this a waste of my time! But, something in me has changed. I don't want to leave before wiping that FILTHY grin off of your face!" Cletus shot back with an insane grin of his own. Let the games begin. Ready. Set. Go.
His arms outstretched over top of the water's surface and he gripped onto it once more, this time however he seemed to pull the top of the ocean up like a sheet of fabric from a pile. The shark-man briefly moved his arms around to keep the ocean under his commands before:
Kairyu Ipponzeoi (literally meaning "Sea Current Lifter"): A technique used by the user performed after Mizugokoro. He heaves the current upward, where it erupts from the ocean surface as a towering stream of water.

Destructive Potency Rank: B
Strength (boosted in water): 6. City Level + Rank: B (+2 DPR) + Haki (+3 DPR) = Total: 11. Small Continent Level!!
