As the sun continued to work its way across its endless journey down behind the horizon, so too did Shaarib Hassan's vessel work its way across the Azure City. As the sky darkened; the music in the streets vanished, the citizens began finishing up their daily duties and activities. The varied people moved somewhat hastily, but not in a panic.
The marine vessel finally came into eyeline of the Liyue Harbor port meant for their ship, the sky had finally reached a beautiful darkness. A strong glow from the moon rained down on the city, showering it in a beautiful silver gleam; this was accented by the delicate paper lanterns, hanging and flickering along the roof edges of the Chongqing houses.
And now...There was nobody. The streets were empty: there were no citizens moving about, there were no officers or guards watching over the harbor, nobody.
The docks were quiet and empty and the surroundings, even if seen from above, were seemingly clear of threats to the naked eye. Though despite the apparent lack of danger, an extremely ominous aura was unshakeable for all aboard the ship's deck.
...
"Sir. The emperor is a stern man, from what I've seen at least, and the people of this kingdom revere him..." She frowned. "In truth, I've met with him only a handful of times. He rarely makes time for us, stationed here. The Vice-Admirals may have better luck gaining audience than myself or the Commander though." Mina said gesturing to the elder Hassan as she said mentioned the title.
"I know only what I was told in marine reports about the empress; Queen Fran." The green-haired woman said. "A mink woman of some notoriety. Mostly illusive to our records, and I've yet to meet her in all my time here...Though the Commander has caught glimpses of her, he too hasn't had a chance to meet with her."
She paused for a brief moment then walked over to a table with an artist's rendering on a small sheet of paper depicting Seiryū. She held it up for the Vice-Admiral. "I certainly haven't seen this guardian..." She started. "...Few have. It is said to be hidden away and at the emperor's beck and call. It is only seen if it wants to be seen, and it only wants to be seen if the emperor wants it to be seen."
Mina pointed back at the map, towards a mountainous region. "My best guess says that it rests somewhere in the mountain peaks--Visiting the Temple of Seiryū might provide you with more insight though. Sir." She said shifting her finger towards a spot marked on the map.

She shook her head in the negative once more, but once again spoke all the same.-"Do not fret much, even if you are in the Blues, you might have heard about what happened at the Headquarters right ? Vice-Admiral Hassan is resilient. A little Air-headed but I raised him well, he isn't going to cause anything.... Can you tell me more about the politics, how are the emperor and empress...Have you seen the protector of the island, Lieutenant ?"
