The Sovereign War
The Defiance
Three Sovereigns openly opposed the World Government: Arabasta, Dressrossa, and Germa. Two of them current members of the twenty original founding nations of the World Government, their swords embedded in Marijeous Castle. The Silver Vampirates had made the sovereigns their territory. Through their military support, the countries survived and became a beacon of independence. Such display threatened to inspire countless revolutions, efforts to topple the World Government rule. In an unprecedented alliance, the Vampirates allied with the Revolutionary Army to inspire dissent. The alliance waited for the opportunity to show the world they could survive without the rule of the government. They found the opportunity in the Pirate Festival.


The Prisoners
During the confusion of the Pirate Festival, toppling a Demon Heir, the Vampirates kidnapped several high-ranking Marines, including two Marine Heros of grave importance: one young and one old. Both generations of Marines saw their heroes through the eyes of death. The news broke out shortly: the Vampirates would execute the Marines for all the world to see, a symbol of their defiance to the World Government, hoping to shake the world from its fear of government. They would show the world the World Government could be toppled.

Those announced to be executed were:

  2. Vice-Admiral Gion
  3. Captain Coby

The Stakes
The world waits with bated breath. Hundreds of countries watch anxiously. The World Government knew this was not about a few soldiers put to death: it’s what it represented. If the World Government was unable to stay the execution, the message would be clear: the World Government could be toppled - they would not be able to roll that one back. Revolutions would spark all over the seas, unable to be contained. The response was swift. The World Government gathered the biggest army assembled in the last half century. The Revolution would be put down for all the world to see.

Will you also wait with bated breath? Or will you take center stage and decide the future of the seas? Welcome to the turning point of this era. Let’s close the chapter, writ in blood.

Sovereign Island
An island created from combining parts of three of the defiant kingdoms. Utilizing the power of the Fuwa Fuwa no Mi, the Vanpirates have floated and connected three kingdoms, forming a stretch of land at the bottom and a raised land on top of it, the latter where the execution platform lies. Dubbed the “Sovereign Island”, the islands stands in the Calm Belt, surrounded by Sea Kings. The whole Vampirate fleet surrounds any point of entry.

Arabasta Kingdom (East)
The East of Sovereign Island is made up of two cities from Arabasta Kingdom. The edge of the land is connected to Dressrossa Kingdom to the West. Above it stands Germa Kingdom, where the execution platform is. A large bridge, dubbed Bridge of Resolution, an ironic twist to Bridge of Hesitation, is located past the two cities, which connects Arabasta with Germa Kingdom above.

Rainbase City holds enourmous amount of Beri for looting. Alubarna City still holds Poneglyph in the King’s Tomb.

Dressrosa Kingdom (West)
The West of Sovereign Island is made up of two locations from Dressrossa Kingdom. The edge of the land is connected to Arabasta Kingdom to the East. Above it stands Germa Kingdom, where the execution platform is. A large bridge, dubbed Bridge of Resolution, an ironic twist to Bridge of Hesitation, is located past the two cities, which connects Dressrossa with Germa Kibgdom above.

Corrida Coluseum holds several Devil Fruits for the looting. SMILE Factory holds scientific blueprints and SMILE DFs for the taking.

Germa Kingdom (execution site)
Floating above Sovereign Island, in the middle of Arabasta and Dressrossa, stands the Vinsmoke Castle. The execution platform is located here, where the captive and the top forces await. To get to the castle, one must travel through the Bridge of Resolution on either Arabasta or Dressrossa. The execution platform is situated at the top of the center tower of the castle, overlooking the plaza.

Vinsmoke Castle holds Raid Suit and human modification technology for the plundering.

The Choosing Process
Players will be given a number based on order of application. Then, players will be chosen on a random basis, using a random number chooser site. However, there must be at least one pirate, one WG member, and Revolutionary. If you’re the only Revo applicant, congratz- you’re in! Additionally, if the story and goals you post blow the GMs away, able to help the event story, you’ll be chosen by executive order.

Character Development goals:
Larsi hopes to finally meet up with Gambit after not having seen him for over two years since the fatal encounter with the Blackbeard Pirates that left many of the original Silver Hair Pirates dead. Larsi himself was thrown in Impel Down, thinking he had failed all of his crew. Only once he learned that Gambit was still alive and had reformed the crew under a different name did Larsi break himself out of the great gaol, seeking freedom and defeating three vice admirals, killing one and escaping. Even though he has rejoined the crew as second in command, he has still not met Gambit in person again.

This, coupled with a fear of history repeating itself and the crew destroyed at the hands of the World Government, Larsi cannot stop himself to do whatever he can to fight off the marines, even if he does not understand Gambit's reasoning for doing this, yet.

Link is also one of his former crew members that he believes to be dead, while Link appears to not remember his time with the pirates.

For most of his life, as well as throughout the first Cour of the Justice Arc, Leo was a devout proponent of Absolute Justice. Everything revolved around the destruction of piracy, as well as the delivery of Absolute Justice at any cost. However, all of that changed in Pangea, where Leo was forced to choose between Absolute Justice and the life of his sister, Lia. Leo chose his sister and fought Admiral Kizaru. He ultimately defeated the Admiral, but Leo was left heavily injured by the fight and bound to a wheelchair. Sasaki managed to make sure that Leo was not assassinated by the World Government for his supposed betrayal, but Leo lost his rank of Vice Admiral, as well as his title as Hero of the Marines. Weakened and incapable of fighting, Leo retired in his home on Justicia. However, Leo's hunger for Justice was never snuffed out, even as he lived out his days in the backyard of his house, bound to a wheelchair, with only his cats keeping him company, and his sister Lia tending to his wounds. Throughout his retirement, Leo plotted his return to power. However, he would not be allowed to rejoin the World Government, nor did he wish to do so. Instead, Leo formed the Neo Navy - much like his deceased sensei, former Admiral Zephyr, and Justicia now serves as the Neo Navy's HQ. Now, Leo fights for his own sense of Justice, and in his eyes, the good of the world.

With Leo's world view shattered in Pangea and his sense of Justice completely changed, Leo formed the Neo Navy. To be able to deliver on his new sense of Justice, Leo's plan is to once again become one of the world's top figures - no longer as ''Hero of the Marines'', but as ''General Burns'', Supreme Commander of the Neo Navy. The Sovereign War, a spectacle that will undoubtedly usher in a new era, is a war where Leo will be able to leave that mark, and make it known exactly where the Neo Navy stands on the issue of piracy vs. the World Government.

- Connection to the one getting executed, Tsuru; via Admiral Zephyr (Leo's sensei), as well as via the events of Pangea.

Character Background:
He would begin with the life of piracy with the Silver Hair’s (later known as Silver Vampirate Empire) by aiding them in the conquering of Alabasta. Link trained under a tutor of Musashi, who’d teach him the basics of Haki. Musashi would express how in time Link would rise up to the same heights with the at the time vice-captain. Link would then meet an old teacher that would train Link in the art of self defense, with precise movement and strikes. Link would later meet some old friends along the journey with the proposal to join the Devil Pirates, which Link would reject at the time. However that choice would be later redacted after witnessing loss of close friends against the World Pirates. Tragedy would be met with Link dwindling down, no longer expressing any signs of answering calls from the Silver Hair’s. But it would be where Link would meet again with Nero of the Devil Pirates who’d offer him the choice again and a new “home”.

However that “home” wouldn’t last for long, with a unfortunate incident occurring that caused the disappearance of the Devil Pirates. Later found by the World Government, Commander-in-Chief Kong, with amnesia of no longer recalling memories was turned into the soldier of Justice. Hoping to use his reputation and history that was checked by Kong, would immediately set out “The Wanderer”.

During the event that occurred at Delta Island, the memories would return, Link even met a friend that he hadn’t seen in a long time, Gambit. The duo then teamed up as they joined others to defeat the problem. During the defeat of Bullet, Link had finally found himself the new “home” of where he knew his talents and skills would prove useful.

It was also during the battle at Delta Island, Link finally heard about Larsi, a name he hadn't heard in so long. Where he didn't idle or chat much about it, just heard rumors and words of mouth about Larsi, he felt a little warm inside knowing his previous captain was still kicking and alive. Yet didn't show much of his happiness, as now he was aligned on the other side of the coin as a marine now.

With many Marines who follow a justice type, Link’s is currently unknown …

Now Link with further determination, no longer hounded by the demons of the past, has become a far more focused soldier with only one thing on the mind. “Getting the job done as long as it benefits the World Government”

To explore what his justice is, but his determination from the events of Delta Island, Link was punished for his actions and now Link with him being really focused on the matter has expressed his desire to become the beacon of light of courage for the future and present.

History (That said, as Valley of Peace has yet to conclude so no updates to the lore for the time being)

After the abrupt end of La Spada's broadcast in Whole Cake Island, the Shadow of the Grim Reaper returns - having survived the fight with his captain. Despite the betrayal, the Shadow remained the crew member of the Spada Pirates and perhaps in secrecy given a punishment unbeknownst to even their own crew, a new order is given.

Character Goals
As the Shadow of La Spada, Akira is tasked for only one thing: to make La Spada and her crew the most powerful force in the world. With the announcement of an imminent war, what better way than to achieve the goal by killing three birds in one stone? The loss of powerful members from the Revolutionary, Marines and Silver Vampirates would undoubtedly tilt the balance in La Spada's favor.

Character Background:
The Festival left a sour taste in SHaarib's mouth, he is eager to prove himself during the war and finally repay the Gambit and the Wost Generation for putting themselves between Bullet and him.

Jealousy and Envy, other Vice-Admirals went to face Yonko, Kallavan went above and beyond and defeated Kaido. He was losing speed in the race to the Admiral position. The Hero of the Festival won the trust of his comrades. Now he needed to gain the trust of the world. No more Prodigal Son, Shaarib will become the Hero of the Marine, what better way than save the hostages and arrest the Prince of All Pirates ?

Character Background:
An ex-believer of absolute justice Kallavan has since the battle against Kaido switched to a gray justice. Not everything is either right or wrong but in the end, the resolution has to benefit the world government. Kallavan is what many would call a true champion of the Marines and the World Government. Even with the truth about his origins revealed his motivations never wavered. In fact, many commented that Kallavan returned with an even more demanding aura around him than ever before.

A war of emotions within the young man has finally been calmed and tempered into a storm. A warrior complete born from it.
Character Development goals:
Ever since the battle against Kaido which was never sanctioned by the chain of command Kallavan didn't receive the welcome he had hoped for. He was blamed and sanctioned heavily for his actions, to fight a yonko is to disrupt the weak balance this world has. And disrupt the Admiral had done, unbeknown to him. For not much had changed, someone else had merely taken Kaido's place and a more terrifying villain had stepped to the forefront.

Kallavan was imprisoned, awaiting judgement for his actions by the higher-ups and Foxhound was detained and privileges revoked. But even all these actions did not waver the now indestructible will that Kallavan wielded. "Journey Before Destination" he kept saying to himself in the world government dungeons.

Within the Marines Tribunal the hero 'Kallavan' was judged for his actions. It was on that fateful day that the news about Gambit and his Alliance broke out. Kallavan's judgement was put on pause for they'd need every able body and mind for this mission. It was here that the young man seized the opportunity. Give me a mission, he shouted.
"If I succeed you'll wave away my past actions. If I fail strip me of my rank and title and excommunicate me to SWORD!"

An answer he was given. From the most orthodox of parties.



"One of the 3 traitorous kingdoms has to go. Pick one and raze it to the ground. But if that sounds too simple for a man of your calibre."
"End this prince of pirate's reign. We've grown tired of his candour."
"Dismissed!"

A mission that would clash with Kallavan's own virtues. Which one would win, his love for the Marines or his own moral compass?

Only time would tell.

Name: Yasashí te Dō
Organization: Revolutionaries (but not the mandatory Revo Spot)

Character Background:
Yasashí was a marine recruit, but he "left" because he didn't want to be complicit in the systematic oppression of citizens.
He joined the revolutionaries to help create a world free from oppression, where violence and military might isn't the foundation of rule, where everyone has the same rights wether they are weak or strong.
He still dislikes most pirates, and once the revolution succeeds he hopes to rejoin the new marine police force to protect civilians from pirates and other criminals.

Character Development goals:
Yasashí does not agree with what the Vampirates are doing with the help of the Revolutionaries.
Using the executions of three marines and a giant war as the basis for a new society independent of the WG doesn't sit well with him. From the newspapers he got the impression that Coby is a very decent person. (What kind of stuff did Coby get up to in the RP verse?)
He also disapproves of having a pirate crew being in charge of this new country, potentially just swapping the Tenryubito for new dangerous Masters.
He hopes to use his access as a member of the revolutionaries to have a talk with the captives, and potentially try to release them/have them released to end the war.
In his eyes a stalemate -or a win- after the hostages were released would be a morally superior outcome.
Because he's so weak (level 50), his main weapon would be the Talk no jutsu.
It would also be nice if either the marines or the pirates arrested him, it would give me an excuse to do a jailbreak story mission in canon (in about 50 years).

Character Background:
Cletus, like most lunarians alive, was experimented on but as a baby. With the very few lunarian children they could find, the WG had intentions of creating super agents that are conditioned from a young age to be completely loyal to them. A combination of the race that could survive any environment injected with the DNA of any species, and in Cletus' case, injected with the DNA of a Humandrill that can copy any martial art. Before washing up on the island he grew up on, he was on a WG vessel, that got lost in a bad storm. Unknown to him, this is why they wiped out the inhabitants to begin with in search for him. They know the vessel went missing in the area. And after hearing rumors about a winged, dark skinned child on the island, the Cp0 were sent there immeadiately and wiped out everyone in search of Cletus who was hidden away by his adoptive parents.

Character Background:
Sweet actively obscures as much of her history as possible, but she knows how much power the World Government holds. She sees it to her benefit that World Government maintain as much control over her enemies as possible, especially if she serves as their ally rather than enemy.

Sweet is looking to prove herself a worthy asset to the World Government, by rescuing as many of the marine hostages as possible and eliminating enemy pirates along the way. She's seeking a powerplay into Shichibukai status.

The air was particularly wild and bitter in the Calm Belt. The sea was calm and the sky showed nary a cloud. Yet, the wind picked up nearing a certain island. An island that was not in the world map. An island newly formed as a bastion of Revolution: Sovereign Island. Three Kingdoms had slated their opposition to the World Government: Alabasta, Dressrossa, and Germa Kingdom. Two part of the original twenty. They would make their last stand in the man-made island of sovereigns. An island of construct strategic. In the Calm Belt, guarded by Sea Kings, maneuvering was difficult. Man-made currents and whirlpools made entry from anywhere but the East or West impossible. Even the air currents locked an areal assault.

Surrounding Sovereign Island from the East and West were each surrounded by the five fleets and dozens of Vampire Warships. Their 30,000+ ranks were equally divided between East and West, making passage difficult. The Vampirates sought war. War would find them.


In the East, through the horizon, 50 ships, including 10 warships, broke the skyline. A group close to 18 thousand Marines, Government personnel, and spies, manned the largest show of force in half a century. From Marine Ensigns to Admirals, the ships approached the East Dock en masse. Several Buster Call worth of warships braved the currents in a oval pattern approach, leaving no area to escape.

A battle cry from a Den Den Mushi ignited the bombardment, as dozens of smaller ships braved the beach. The Vampirates returned fire: the Sovereign War had begun.
Through the smoke from cannon fire, several non-government ships slipped through. Pirates of all ilk and power took advantage of the war. They would steer the era forward. The Worst Generation was well represented, their fleets cutting the ranks and promising to turn the war.

One of those represented was the only agent of the newly-minted Yonko crew; The Shadow, to promote the stature of the Grim. A testament to the power of the infamous crew who took down Big Mom - they only sent one. Another came face-to-face with his past, terrible experiments on his Lunarian heritage. Carrying the history of his brethren, the Lunarian sought to avenge his people, marking the spies in white. Lastly, amidst the Marine personnel, a infamous man newly freed of his past sought to answer what his brand of Justice was in the war. It all began with a name he had not heard in decades: Larsi. One last figure of his past remained. The threads of fate all led here.

Back in Marijeous, in the Great Hall, the Five Elders sat around two den den mushis. One connected to Fleet Admiral Sengoku’s ship. The second was connected to the One Who Sat Atop The World. Those who controlled the world had prepared for any contingency. The had prepared to show the power of the World Government. The balance of the seas hung in the balance.

Stating their course of action, the samurai Elder spoke convincingly.

One of those represented was the Hero of the Festival. His comrades rallied behind him when he led the escape of the Marines in Delta Island. Now, he sought to be the Hero of the World. A figure from his past would stand in the way of that: Big-Eye. The man who many credit with being one of the few who ushered the era that sought to close. Yet, his iteration of Silver Hairs was laid to waste. Unchained from his bonds, the strongest pirate without a Devil Fruit or special power sought to mend the mistakes of his past, and finally reunite with the man at his crew's helm. There was revolution even in the revolution. A young mink would meet ideology with reality, in pursuit of his world of peace. Similarly dissatisfied with the World Government, another marked the greatest variable in the seas. A man whose ideology was as reconstructed as his body, leading a new force that would take the world by storm.

In the Land of White Soil, Baltigo, a single figure walked out of the castle-like ruins - the Headquarters of the Revolutionary Army. The red face tattoo was visible on the man who walked to the edge of the balcony. The war was not led by the Revolutionary Army, but their support from the underground of the newly independent nations, Germa, Alabasta, and Dressrossa, had made the Vampirate's stand possible. While the Revolution did not support the means to which the Vampiretes sought the end, they did not interfere. They hoped the Vampiratess spark would ignite claims of independence around the whole world.

As the wind of change blew, the World Most Dangerous Criminal looked to the distance.

The sun's rays shone down upon the interconnected masses of land, namely the Sovereign Island - an institution of three Kingdoms formerly members of the Revery. They were the Alabasta Kingdom, Dressrosa Kingdom, and the Germa Kingdom. Three nations of prominence vowed to support the advocacy of a Fleet of Pirates alluded to turning the world upside down ─ The Silver Vampirates. An organisation headed by Prince Landayan Morrow of the Hiraya Kingdom disseminated a piece of news that shook the globe ─ the public execution of three renowned figures of the Navy.

Inside the hall of kings situated at the heart of the Sovereign, Morrow, the patriarch of the Sovereigns sat on a throne alongside the other kings of their respective nations. His left elbow rested on the armrest whilst his chin lay on his clenched fist. A grand round table was surrounded by 12 seats, manned by figures of indisputable importance. He raised his right hand a puffed a cigar to start the celebration of the fated meeting. The smoke he blew upwards and quickly dispersed into the wind before it would even reach the height of the ceiling, grand and ornamented with marbles and sculptures of olden age. A 200-bulb chandelier illuminated the hall with the support of 50-pillar lights surrounding the hall. Beautiful princesses attended the Valley of Kings and each of them was attended by maidens of their own beauties. Each lady wore their grandest gowns, representing purity of white and pink.

All eyes are on Landayan. And there was a moment of silence. A den-den mushi transmitted from the palace and all throughout the Sovereign was placed on the table. With his raspy and guttural voice, he began his lengthy speech.

"In this grave hour, perhaps the most catastrophic in our history, I convey this message to all the members of our alliance, both at the terrestrial waters of the Sovereign and within."

"For centuries, the entire world has been under the Civil Society Triangle. A system that endlessly put a siege on our common folks. Yes, leaders are needed to establish a great nation but oppression and slavery, create havoc and bureaucratic manipulation of the threads that link the growth of society."

"For centuries, the World Government has been manipulating the history. A void whereby conceals the parchment of truth. And for centuries, many people have attempted to combat their organisation only to lose a number of times."

"Roger could not do it nor the band of brothers before him. Did they lack power? Resolve? or Time?"

"For me, it's the military power, alliance, and the common ground shared by different nations that was missing. And today, we successfully assembled that."

"This is the Sovereign Kingdoms, an alliance of nations bound by common interest to destroy the manipulative forces of our enemy in which they call themselves Gods!"

"There are NO GODS! For if there is one. Many people would have not perished and succumbed to the most brutal agony of our lives!"

"Sovereign! Vampirates! All 30 thousand of our combined forces!"

"For the nth time in our lives, we are at war! And like the wheel of fate, we have tested the depths of the waters and the height of all the mountains only to find peach and harmony. We could not achieve it without the conspiracy of the leaders before me. Those differences between us and our enemies must be put to an end."

"We have been forced into a conflict and pushed to wage this war. And war we bring upon them!"

"May the doctrine of our forefathers bear witness to how our resolve could usher a generation of new buds that would blossom across the evergreen mile of grass and flowers. May all the pledges of your kings bestow strength and willpower to prove to the world that our enemies could be toppled."

"And if this war would be futile, then all hopes would be crushed to nothingness. An eternal void lingering in our souls. So we fight! And strip the government of all their false guise!"


A great uproar made the entire Sovereign tremble. The ground beneath seemed to have rumbled in conjunction with the percussion of the plaza. Ships of the Vampirate Empire started to surround the bases and shortly came the enemies of the states. As they all approached from all sides of the siege, came bombardment through their respective warships. Gambit grinned and spread his arms wide open.

"MUAHAHAHAHAHA!"

"It has begun! Protect the entire Sovereign!"

"Let no man forget how menacing we are. We are the Vampirates! Build your own legacy. Let them remember your names. Make them immortal! Take it! IT'S YOURS!"

"DESTROY OUR ENEMIES! RETURN FIRE!!!"

Gambit had actually done it! He had really done it! The infamous captain of the Silver Vampirates had set into motion the greatest war the world had ever seen, a feat not even had Kaido managed to accomplish in his lifetime! On this day, the execution of several high ranking marine officers would commence, sending a message to the world the World Government was not invincible and they really could be taken down!

Surrounding Sovereign Island from the East and West were each surrounded by the five fleets and dozens of Vampire Warships. Their 30,000+ ranks were equally divided between East and West, making passage difficult. The Vampirates sought war. War would find them.

One sole member of the Silver Vampirates carefully wove his way through the Silver Vampirate Fleet. Cletus Sol, The Son of Science. His small personal boat pierced through the Sovereign waters. Today was different than the Pirate Festival. HE was different. His role at this point in time was to attack anyone that managed to slip through the warring fleets, a job he was very excited for in the face of all the strong players present today. With a wide grin on his face, the lunarian cracked his bandaged knuckles in anticipation.

"Fufufufufufufufufufuuu! Got to hand it to Koza for having me placed on his home turf! Even from here his country looks unreal!" He said in stoic excitement. He fired off multiple punches into the air, warming up his fists as they cut through the air like a knife. They were making a good sound. His body was in peak condition, despite the hellish training the Raging Bulls put him through. His Den Den Mushi tuned into a hidden frequency, connected to the Hall of Kings where Gambit would begin his one of his famous, lengthily epic speeches.

"Pirate, Marine, Ciphor Pol! It doesn't matter who you are! My fire may be gone, but my soul still burns as hot as hell itself! Today determines the state of the world! The World Government will look on helplessly as Gambit reveals how weak they truly are. My fists will make sure of that. Fufufufufufufufufufufufufuuuu! I'll take all of you on! TO GLORY!!"
