You are right, people love it. But it's just the most whacky discussions you can find on battle shonen forums. People are sucking things from their fingertips you have never seen before lol. Ya know I am doing daily facepalms when I see those powerscale or battle threads on sister forums.
I guess powerscaling in the end is fine, aslong it's part of a much bigger picture and brings up new friendly debates.
But trying to figure out a cracked power system in One Piece just to argue about a battle between 2 characters that most likely will never fight against each other is pretty whack. It becomes creative if it is part of a fanfic or short story tho, or some kind of tourney/competition.
