► General Guidelines
1. Be respectful and civil towards others
Respect that other people may have an opinion that differs from yours, engage in conversations in a civil manner. Do not act aggressively towards others, passively or not. Do not engage in personal attacks, flame-baiting and the like. Harassment, sexism, homophobia, racism, xenophobia, transphobia and the like have no place on Thriller Bark. It will absolutely not be tolerated and will be dealt with accordingly.
2. Use English when communicating publicly
You are not required to speak textbook English, but as this forum is very international, you will be required when talking publicly to speak English, as moderating a language you are not familiar with can be quite tricky.
3. Publish content suitable for all ages
Be responsible, publish content (visual or text-based) which is suitable for all ages as Thriller Bark can be accessed by anyone above the age of 13. Do not share inappropriate material such as but not limited to porn, gore, severe violence and bodily excrements etc. You can express yourself freely, however, use your own sense if restriction while using swear/curse words.
4. Maintain one account
Thriller Bark does not allow any person to register more than one account and doing so is strictly prohibited. In case anyone else visiting you or living with you wishes to register their own account, let us know ahead of time at admin@thrillerbark.com.
5. Report
If you witness or is the victim of someone else breaking the guidelines, etc. please do not hesitate to let us know. Report the message, profile post, thread etc. in question. Don't take matters in your own hands by backseat moderating or repaying insults with insults, instead forward it to the Team. The reporting tool can also be used to get quick help from a moderator to fix issues you can not, like changing a thread title.
6. The Staff/The Team
The Team is here to help you and our community as a whole. They are in charge of enforcing our guidelines and rules and generally maintain order. It is up to them to determine whether any guidelines have been broken. If a situation occurs where these published guidelines are ambiguous or incomplete, the Team/Staff will handle the situation as best they see fit from their understanding of the guidelines. Trying to circumvent the guidelines or find holes in them will be taken seriously and the Team/Staff reserve their right to take disciplinary action against such individuals at any time. Access to Thriller Bark is not guaranteed, nor a right and may be removed at any time at our discretion.
Do not attack the Team for doing their job, they are volunteers trying their best to make Thriller Bark a better experience. Attacking them will be seen as attacking any other member. If you disagree with their action, engage politely in a personal conversation with them or a superior(Larsi or any Super Moderators), or send an email to admin@thrillerbark.com.
7. Communication etiquette
You are not allowed to force any member into providing any personal information such as Name, Address, Facebook Account, Skype, Email etc. You are expected to communicate publicly and privately with members in a non-vulgar, non-sexual, decent and civilized manner. Any behavior that is deemed akin to that of stalking, cyber-stalking, bullying, harassment of any kind, especially towards someone who can be viewed as a romantic interest or suits your sexual preference, will be viewed seriously and the account permanently suspended if found guilty.
If you feel you are being stalked or harassed in any manner, please feel free to start a personal conversation with Larsi or any of the Super Moderators.

► Interaction & Content Etiquette
1. Advertising
You are not allowed to advertise sites or communities that are similar to Thriller Bark in an attempt to garner views or visitors. This is including but not limited to Facebook groups, other forums, Discord servers, etc. You may link your personal blogs, showcases, personal Facebook pages, DeviantArt, YouTube channel, etc. in your signature or in the description on your profile, however not in profile posts.
2. Contribute constructively
Before creating a new subject in discussions, use the search feature to make sure this doesn't already exist. When participating in discussion, mafia or other threads outside the Chit-Chat section, make sure your posts bring something of value to the conversation. Fluff and posts only containing one word responses, images or emojis as well as off-topic discussion is not permitted and will likely be deleted. Reviving(aka necro-posting) many threads, fluffing or similar ways of posting for the sake of gaining post count will not be tolerated and may result in a manually lowered post count as seen fit by the team. Excessive posting on profiles is also not accepted. Doing so in a way to be annoying or gathering likes, etc. will not be tolerated and will be deleted.
3. Sharing content
When sharing content, be it artwork, writing, news articles, etc. if they are not your own creation, be sure to link to the original version. Posting content claiming that it is your own will not be tolerated. Do not share entire articles, instead excerpts. Don't share entire manga pages, instead crop the part of the page you want to show. Linking or posting VIZ content in any manner is strictly forbidden. If you are unsure how to identify VIZ Media content, compare it to this example. Do not link to or post licensed content, such as pirated movies, TV shows, anime episodes, etc. Linking to websites that share manga, or other licensed content illegally is also strictly forbidden.
4. Signature Size
Images in your signature not be wider than 600 pixels or higher than 300 pixels. Your total signature outside spoiler tags may not exceed 500 pixels.

► Warnings
The Staff uses "warnings" as a method to let a user know that they are violating Thriller Bark community guidelines by their behavior or content they have posted. The member receiving a warning will be informed via personal conversation the reason why he/she is being warned, how many "warning points" their account has received, and other information that will help them correct their actions.
There are four different tiers of punishments associated with warning points:

1. When your account reaches a total of 4 active warning points, you will be temporarily banned for 24 hours.
2. When your account reaches a total of 6 active warning points, you will be temporarily banned for 7 days.
3. When your account reaches a total of 8 active warning points, you will be temporarily banned for 1 month.
4. When your account reaches a total of 10 active warning points, you will be permanently banned.

► Name Changes
You can personally purchase the Name Change Store Item using the Salty Doubloons site currency, which is earned either through donations or posting on Thriller Bark. Thriller Bark reserves the right to revert any name changes they do not deem fitting. Anyone found changing their name too often may be stopped from purchasing name changes again. In cases of misspelling your username or privacy concerns, should you not have the currency available to purchase the store item, please contact admin@thrillerbark.com using the e-mail your account is registered to.
► Account Deletion
Should you wish to have your account deleted, contact us at admin@thrillerbark.com however, be aware of the following:
a) Account deletion is irreversible, once processed your account may not be restored by any means.
b) Anyone who requests their account deleted will not be allowed to access Thriller Bark with an account for 6 months after the date of deletion.
c) Deleted users who request account deletion to bypass bans, warnings or other restrictions will not be allowed another account on Thriller Bark. Duplicate accounts will be suspended permanently.

► Terms of Service
YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 13 YEARS OLD TO REGISTER AND USE THRILLER BARK, ANYONE BELOW THE AGE OF 13 CAN REGISTER WITH THE ASSISTANCE OF A GUARDIAN AND WE MAY ASK FOR A WRITTEN CONSENT FORM. YOU ARE YOURSELF RESPONSIBLE FOR STATING YOUR AGE CORRECTLY.
Content submitted on Thriller Bark express the views of their author only. Thriller Bark is not responsible for any user-generated content. You agree to not use Thriller Bark to submit or link to any content which is defamatory, abusive, hateful, threatening, spam or spam-like, likely to offend, contains adult or objectionable content, contains personal information of others, encourages unlawful activity, or otherwise violates any laws. All content you submit may be reviewed by The Staff. Content submitted by recently registered members (‘new registrations’) may be sent to spam prevention services for verification, do not submit any content that you consider to be private or confidential. Thriller Bark and its Team reserve the right to remove or modify any content submitted for any reason without explanation. Requests for content to be removed or modified will be undertaken only at our discretion.
In case of any such situation arising where the published guidelines are ambiguous or incomplete, The Staff reserve the right of judgement and will handle issues based on their understanding of the guidelines. Trying to evade, bypass or find flaws within the mentioned guidelines will be viewed seriously and The Staff reserves the right to take action against any account with regards to their usage of Thriller Bark at any time. Access to Thriller Bark is not guaranteed to you and access may be restricted or removed at any time at our discretion.
You may not access Thriller Bark through automated or programmatic means. You are granting us with a non-exclusive, permanent, irrevocable, unlimited license to use, publish, or re-publish your content in connection with Thriller Bark. You retain copyright over the content.
