I don't have any problem with it, it's not like they expected Marco to come out of nowhere and stop them. My only problem is why haven't they entered earlier, as for Perospero's candy maybe it won't work that well at the waterfall.

He doesn't hate them, he's purposely not allowing them on Onigashima yet for storyline purpose.
