Hi thrillerbark

I am a long-time theory creator of One Piece. I am an obscure theorist.
- I am presenting an idea about what the King's Dilemma is. This will be a difficult subject to understand because it is based in esotericism (esoteric mysticism). The main philosophical context in this subject is Plato's Theory of Forms and seeks to explain the King's Dilemma in its entirety. This is, in fact, a comprehensive study of the concept of the King's Dilemma. Everything about the King's Dilemma can be understood through the understanding in this post.

What is the King's Dilemma?
- The King's Dilemma is the Disposition of a King, and how it relates to a King's decision-making process. A King may either hold peace as an ideal, or war as an ideal, and it is by choosing one or the other that a King begins to manifest King's Haki.
- King's Haki cannot be trained.

You Can't Train Someone to Use King's Haki?
- That is correct! You may not train someone in the use of King's Haki. The reason that you cannot train a person in King's Haki is because of a concept known as Plato's Theory of Forms.

What is Plato's Theory of Forms?
- Plato's Theory of Forms is a Theory of Ideas. It proposes that All Ideas originally come from the Immaterial World, and not the Material World.

Ideas Come from a Spiritual World?
- Yes. The King's Dilemma relates to the concept of The Form of the Human, Model: King.
- For example, The Form of the Human is the starting point for Humans. However, Humans can be classified in countless ways. A Human Navigator would be said to possess The Form of the Human, Model: Navigator. A Human Sniper would be said to possess the Form of the Human, Model: Sniper. A Human Swordsman would be said to possess The Form of the Human, Model: Swordsman.

Why Can't You Train Someone in King's Haki?
- You can't train someone in the use of King's Haki because they must become familiar with the Forms in Plato's Theory of Forms when they are a spirit. The qualities of a King can't be found in a person. They are found in a spirit, and the spirit must recognize the Form of the King. Otherwise, they simply won't possess any of the qualities that lead to the decisions a King will be forced to make.

Does That Mean Spirits Learn Things Before They Go into Bodies?
- Yes. Quite simply, yes. The Spirits have Spirit Knowledge, and the Qualities of a King are a type of Spirit Knowledge that comes from the Form of the King. Therefore, only certain people in the world can possess King's Haki because only certain Spirits possess this type of Spirit Knowledge.

But I Thought it was a Matter of Being Born with It or Developing It?
- It only seems that way because Luffy and other people are suggested to be born with innate abilities. Luffy was born with King's Haki. However, that is a separate subject altogether. That involves the principle of reincarnation. When someone is born with King's Haki it means they already possessed a powerful form of King's Haki in a previous lifetime. It is now a dormant ability for that person, and it will manifest in them when they get older.

In Conclusion: What is referred to as the King's Dilemma, and the King's Disposition, are the same thing. They refer to the decisions a king is forced to make to protect their kingdom. A King may choose to pursue peace as an ideal, or war as an ideal, and it is by choosing one or the other that King's Haki will begin to manifest. However, it is never something that develops in a person's physical body. Instead, it develops in a timeless fashion in respect to a non-physical body that is eternal and cannot be destroyed. This non-physical body is the spirit, and the spirit becomes familiar with the qualities of a king before it even enters a body. The qualities of a king are based on being familiar with spiritual entities (the heavens) that represent Kingness and the Form of the King. This is a concept based on Platonic Forms, and esoteric mysticism, involving spiritual and non-spiritual elements called mind-body dualism and the trichotomy of the soul.

If you have any questions, please ask. I would love to answer them. However, please don't comment and be rude. If you have something negative to say, please just don't even say it.

Simpler way to describe this:

The Qualities of a King = The Form of the King = Spiritual Knowledge = Cannot be Trained
