ONE PIECE CHAPTER 1033 QUICK SUMMARY
Zoro struggled to control Enma as it kept draining his haki without permission.
King stood in front of Zoro to give Zoro a free hit. King tanked Zoro's stab and caused an explosion.

Sanji had a short conversation with Queen after he called Zoro.
Queen said King is a surviving Lunarian, a monstrous godly race that could survive in any environment.

Zoro got up and attacked with "Lethal Lion Song", which still dealt no damage.
King used his "Tempura Udon." Zoro couldn't dodge it thanks to Enma suddenly acting up again.
Zoro and his swords got thrown off the cliff. While falling to collect his swords, Zoro had flashbacks about how he obtained Sandai Kitetsu and Wado Ichimonji.

He remembered that he met Shimotsuki Kozaburo when he was still a trainee in Shimotsuki dojo.
Kozaburo told him that each sword is like a person with unique personality and a swordsman's job is to tame the sword's wild nature.
Deadly named swords are not actually cursed. That's just nonsense spread by the weaklings.
He told Zoro that he crafted his magnum opus and named him after the after the lord of the underworld, referring to Enma.

After realizing that Enma is testing his worth, Zoro got up and thought how Oden was able to easily wield Enma even while it consumed a lot of haki.
The Beast Pirates grunts approached Zoro to help King, but they suddenly got knocked out.
Zoro decided to go all out with his CoA and also activated his CoC to coat his swords.
King noticed the CoC and was surprised that Zoro also has kingly ambitions.
Zoro said that King is right, as he remembered his promise to Luffy that he would become the world's greatest swordsman.

Loved this chapter, it gave me some classic vibes with the flashback midfight. Damn it was even a Zoro flashback.
I think it was nicely done.
I mean we didn't make any big reveals here, just some stuff got confirmed that has been speculated. Love it.
The only big drop we got was that the Lunarians once had god status. My theory is that they might have come from another plaet/moon. The one the Redline got created with.

For me, the fact that Zoro is now able to conciously coat all his swords with CoC itself is a big reveal.
With that, he's just a few steps away from Oden's level, and he certainly isn't behind Yamato.

I also love the parallel between Luffy and Zoro.
They basically unlock advance CoC in the same arc, in the middle of their fights, when they are at their limits. It feels awesome.

My guess is that their extinction has something to do with the ancient weapons.

Oh I didnt see he was coating Enma, but I agree that Zoro unlocking CoC and having his moments with it is a big thing. It fits that we get some kind of Zoro related flashback because they explain well the process of a character growth and we will have more character growths with Zoro during this fight. That is hype.

I still think it could have something to do with God Valley. I think this would be simple connection to fulfill for Oda. Idk if there will be something more complex behind it. It def fits in with the patterns of all these Rocks and God Valley reveals. Like each here and there throughout Wano.

I actually do.
At the very least, ancient weapons and Void Century might have been involved in the events related to their extinction.

It could be a power struggle between the ancient kingdoms and King's race just happened to be one of the kingdoms that got wiped out.
But there is a possibility that there were a few survivors who went into hiding post-Void Century.
And the WG were actively trying to hunt them down for the same reason they are hunting Robin down during this timeline.

King may know a thing or two about the world history. That's why Kaido knows about Joyboy and stuff.
Even if he doesn't, it still makes sense.
He could be a child when the rest of his family got wiped out, so he didn't have many ideas about his origins.
And now the WG can't really touch him because he's with Kaido.
