When I first heard of the Toki Toki no Mi all I could think about was how overpowered of a fruit it is and how I didn't want to really see it again for that reason. My mind was changed however when I recently watched a Marco the One Piece Theorist video which I will attach.
Not only did Marco successfully predict Momonosuke was a time traveller, but he also theorised how Apoo was a Kaido ally before the Kidd incident. For those who won't watch the video the theory can be summed up as such:
- Momonosuke is obviously too weak for battle being a child
- Despite this, Oda has made an effort to show how hard Momonosuke is training and he has recently inherited one of his father's swords
- Momonosuke will become 20 years older - 'Mirai/Future Monosuke' and become strong enough because Oda is seemingly preparing him for battle
- Mirai Momonosuke can appear as a result of many possibilities, possibly due to side effects, etc
- Or the Toki Toki no Mi has a new user, perhaps Hiyori, who is perhaps unaware of her powers due to the lack of Devil Fruit knowledge in Wano
In the theory, Marco has a lot of evidence to back up his claims too, so I was really convinced. After reading this chapter, I noticed something which made me even more convinced. I think Hiyori does indeed possess the powers of the Toki Toki no Mi, AND she is aware. Why? Because in the latest chapter, Act 2 closed off, and we saw the lady playing the Japanese guitar-like instrument again (forgive my ignorance I don't know what it is exactly called). This is the same lady that we see every time an act opens or an act closes. It's like the lady is in control of time or something?! I don't possess as much clarity as Marco but I hope you know what I mean.
I also think this lady is Hiyori, which is why she wanted to be left alone from Kawamatsu and Zoro so she could perform her time duties or whatever.
