Would be amazing if Kanjuro dies in Momonusuke's place and changed his mind. He realized he was wrong going after the Kozuki family and that Oden is different. His tears might have been real at Oden's execution and he was just lying to himself since then, he is good at acting this role after all and already started believing it himself.

The title seems to hint to that as you said and Oda has a huge pattern for the positive twist.

If i were to predict the following events i'd say marco will heal luffy temporarily. Luffy will fight kaido again with the whole crew and win this time.
Title hints that the strange looking dude with the red hair (forgot his name) is a double agent if thats the correct term.
I think he doesnt care for both sides. He betrayed the kouzuki and will now betray the coward whose name i forgot (current shogun) and that will be his final act as an actor.
Maybe he will be killed by Kaido using his last powers to draw a fake momonosuke.

Am i the only one that gets annoyed because almost every major arc is a copy of a former arc?
Luffy makes new friends who happen to be prince or princesses / Luffy fights super strong enemy because he wants to help his new friends /

Oh yeah, good reminder, Kanjuro just wants to the die and Orochi just got murdered, making him the is the last of his line who has no prospect in life. Might have at least a favor to Oden back for him saving his life. Might be not a real redemption but just that he does 1 kindness for the Kozuki now that Kaido takes them all out. Better Kozuki than Kaido might be the rational. Kaido just confirmed that Luffy is defeated and that everyone should surrender, if there was any time to change sides to say "f Kaido", its now.

Or the "tragedy" during the 3rd act that people have been wanting. He would be the most Kabuki-esque tragic character if he turned good right before death.

interesting phrasing, Luffy lost because he "lost his haki", implying all types of energy including devil fruits are haki(which they are, but this seems like the first verbal confirmation ever, while as others where just implications and visuals). Hope that Kaido is literally saying it

So far I'm not digging the direction of the chapter but I'm not gonna make any hasty decisions until there's subsequent chapters to compare it to. Too often Oda will take a chapter in what seems like a bad direction just to get the reader nervous or throw them off only to undo the concerns in the next chapter or 2. Right now I'm just like, "alright Oda are you finished zigzagging the plot and emotions enough to get back on what the actual plot is?"

Otherwise it doesn't make too much sense that Kaido name drops a specific attack if its just a random new name, it must hint to something. Or did Luffy not really pass out and used a technique that makes him recover? And yes, I know he "fell" into the sea but there are a lot of interesting possibilities with that.

It's definitely some kind of new technique. Most likely a new attack. It seems to be a callback to when Luffy was about to use Gear 3rd but Blueno passed out before he could start the attack.

If I had to guess it was probably gonna be an attack that uses a lot of armament haki to begin with but had Conquerors haki coating it as well. I wonder if he had not gone Gear 4th earlier in the fight if he would still be conscious now?
