The fabled Isle of Mitclan is a paradise made real. Beautiful scenery, bountiful resources, and unspoiled nature. But for some reason the place has never been inhabited by any group for long. This has led to legends of the land being hunted or cursed. Whether true or not, the legends don't stop enterprising individuals from giving it a try.

A huge tortoise of black scales and spiked shell walked slowly through the strangely named road of knives. Evergreen trees and lush grass flanked the creature as it ambles along. On the side of its shell there was a miniature balcony of stone. Inside of that balcony stood a tiny Tiger Mink overlooking the the passing scenery.

Dressed in loose green robes, Kilij Dao Odachi leaned on the rails as he sipped from a mug of coffee. "This island is quite amazing. Few places I've been to can compare. It supposedly even has huge veins of gold and jewels. Yet no one has ever colonized it." Said Kilij to himself as he lazily rode the castle tortoise.

Looking inside there was a grand palatial hall with velvet sofas and intricate tapestries. The walls were adorned with swords, hundreds if not thousands of swords of all shapes and sizes. These were the creations of Kilij after lifetime spent as a blacksmith. Laying on a soft carpet was a big saber tooth tiger of deep purple pelt chewing on a large femur bone. Not to far from it a bird of prey slept on a pedestal. It was oversized as well with shiny colorful red and orange feathers.

Kilij smiled at the presence of his three beast companions, Tyrfing the saber tooth tiger, Aegis the black tortoise, and Gae Bulg the phoenix-esque eagle. Outside of the crew of the Backyard Pirates, these three were the closest things he had to family. So when the opportunity to came to explore this idealistic landscape, Kilij jumped at the chance to spend a holiday with the beasts.

So far the decision has been good. He had an extremely easy experience traversing by tortoise. Soon he would reach the spot that is estimated to hold a literal goldmine and after scouting that he could relax away before going back to the crew. With a content sigh, Kilij looked at the road forward that passed through a thin bridge and smiled at how easy things were.

Just Another Day In Paradise

Mitclan was the perfect Garden of Eden, A prime example of what nature was capable without destructive land dwellers there to bleed her resources dry. The Island was quiet, yet bustling with life. Flora and fauna of all types flourish in a perfect balance. The weather on the island is tropical with light showers throughout the day. The sun always seems like it’s just on the horizon providing heat and sunshine but not enough to burn or blind. It is truly a breathtaking bastion of beauty. One of the only outside inhabitants of Mitclan that has been allowed to stay is a young octopus merfolk that cares for and helps the island stay in its undisturbed state. Careful not to disturb the balance himself Takoyami Capensis (Tako for short) is a son of mother nature and father ocean themselves, constantly cultivating the plants and encouraging the wildlife to flourish. Working on his Botanical skills and trying to learn what creates a living island in hopes to start more Fish men islands Tako spends most his days in the warm pool located at the center of the island. From here he can see and feel and hear the island learning what he can and protecting the beauty of Mitclan.

It was sometime around Mid-day as Tako was inspecting the algae at the bottom of the lake. The algae here is so rich with minerals and full of fantastic ecological importance as not just food, shelter, but it giving off gas as well, the smallest forms of life can contribute in the biggest ways. Tako thought to himself as he gathered some samples in a jar and returned to the surface of the lake. Swish-fully swimming to the edge of pool, Tako sets down his sample and spots and odd black shape waaay off in the distance seemingly slowly sauntering south down the road of knives. Huh that’s new thought the Merfolk as he spent so much time on the Island he knew every species of plant and animal. Squinting as best he could and activating his observation Haki (81 awareness) Tako could better make out the shape of the darkened object, but it was still a bit too far too see clearly. What’s a Giant land Tortoise doing all the way out here? They are not ocean faring Reptiles… Thought the man, well better see what this is all about.

Now exiting the pool of water the full body of Tako is exposed (meaning shown not naked) Tako is a light red (not pink) octopus merfolk with black and light blue accents. His upper torso is humanoid with 2x normal fishmen arms. His lower half consists of 6 powerful tentacles each capable of supporting his entire body by themselves. As He normally stands Tako is around 11 Ft. tall not walking on his outstretched legs, but fully out stretched on his tippy tentacles he’s pushing 16 feet. With his trusty stick Appa at his back and his fanny pack full of “Pop Blue” The Merfolk squats low, before shattering the ground beneath him with a mighty leap in the direction of the Road of Knives. As he flew the Octoman flipped upside down and started spinning with his 6 legs spread out acting as rotor blades to elongate his flight. The Octocopter made it half way to his destination, stopping high up on a Cliffside outcropping now able to get full View of the Lost Tortious. NANI!?!? Tako yelled as he inspected the Reptile, What the hell is wrong with that poor creature! Tako thought frantically as he hated to see creatures abused, and this tortoise was clearly mistreated judging by how its shell had been deformed. Squatting down once more Tako and the Octocopter start to spring too the second Half of destination in an attempt to land in front of the poor creature.

Kilij had moved back to the sofa. He was preparing to laid back and read the latest newspaper when a smaller Aegis the tortoise materialized next to him. "Hmm? What's wrong Aegis? Don't tell me you're hungry already? You just ate an entire field of wild flowers an hour ago. If you eat anymore this island will turn into a desert."

"Gruuunt. Grunt. Gruuuuunt."

"Okay, okay. You don't such a big deal about it. Jeez, it's not like I called you fat or anything. So, what's this about someone appearing up the road?"

"Gruunt."

"I see. Hey Tyrfing, the crew did say that this island was uninhabited, right?"

"Grrrrrrr. Grrrr."

"Then where did this guy come from? Is he here for the gold as well? I might have to forcibly remove him if he has already staked a claim on it. But for now, I should just talk to the guy and see what he wants."

Just to be safe, Kilij grabbed three blades from the wall and placed them on his belt. Putting on a straw hat he turned towards the cat and the bird. "You guys stay here while I deal with the stranger. Wouldn't want to scare him away before we can even chat." The tiger and the eagle made no effort to acknowledge the command, but Kilij just shrugged it off.

Walking down the hallway a large drawbridge style door opened in front of him. Simultaneously on the outside the front part of the tortoise shell transformed a wooden door that got lowered until it met the head of the beast. Stepping out onto the sun the tiny tiger man walked along the drawbridge until he stood on top of Aegis head.

Now outside he could clearly see the approaching Fishman. Kilij was a bit weary of the stranger, the guy seemed strong. But there was no reason to be apprehensive. Aegis lowered his head to the ground and Kilij stepped off onto the dirt path. Once on solid ground, the tiny cat man returned to his real stature. Taller than the average man, Kilij still fell short in comparison to the height of the Fishman. Yet that ain't surprising. There's a lot of unnaturally tall fellows in the Grand Line and even the tortoise Aegis stood taller than the Mink.

Showing both hands as sign of non aggression Kilij spoke to the guy. "Ahoy there stranger. I thought I was the only person on this island. It's good to see that the flames of civilization can even reach such an out of the place island like this. So what winds brought you here? Any worth while endeavour around?"

Kilij observed the stranger to see how they react. All while hoping that the fellow might be foolish enough to bring him to where the gold is. That would surely made the trip worth it.

TENSION! Trespassing Tortoise & Tiger

A light summer shower was drifting over head only to be gone seconds later, as the ambient warmth and gentle glow of the sun cast a brief rainbow overhead. The wind was still on the Island but high above the clouds roll in and out like fluffy waves in the sky. The light red Merman stood to half height and moved to more center himself on the road between the trespassing two. Did that tiger come out from inside that Tortoise's mouth Nani?!? so the creature wasn't deformed, the slave was given a devils curse. Thought Tako as he was well familiar with the world and its many magics and horrible practices.

After processing what the Tiger man had said Tako made sure his next words were spoken clearly and firmly. "That's because its my job to extinguish the 'flames of civilization'! I was brought here by my fathers current on the beckoning call of my mother. The only worth wild endeavor is back the way you came. You will find no food, no shelter, no Treasure, and no quarter if you do not leave at once. Yelled Tako in a boisterous tone.

The Octopus stood in a bit of a ridged stance (despite having no bones oy oy oy hoy!) Not necessarily an aggressive one, but one that was resolute and foreboding for anyone to approach. Failure to leave this place will only have negative repercussions for you and your slave of yours,yelled Tako. The Gardener acting as gatekeeper issued his warning to the intruders, They never just leave thought Tako, Especially tough looking one with Devils at their sides. An audible sigh was let out as the next response could very well have disastrous consequences for life on Mitclan, life of others and the Life of Takoyami Capensis

After spoken his words Kilij gave a friendly smile as he waited on the newcomer.

The tiger man's friendly smile vanished like a mirage under the midday sun. He looked at octopus Fishman for a few seconds. Half hidden by his hat, Kilij's eyes studied the adversary in silence without taking any actions. His eyes glowed with malevolent intent as he carefully considered his next possible action.

"Tora-tora-tora-tora-tora" Suddenly laughed the Mink as he shrugged his shoulders and walked back towards the tortoise.

"I see. If that's how things are, then it can't be helped."

Nonchalantly he walked next to the big reptile and as he passed beside the beast he spoke in a quiet yet heavy voice.

"Gae Bulg. Go fish."

A small window opened on top of the shell and a dazzling shadow sped into the sky. As it flew higher and higher it grew by several dimensions until a massive bird darkened the land with its visage. It was an eagle of red, orange, and yellow plumage. It had a long yet thick neck, frighteningly piercing beak, and large slender scythe like talons.

Kilij kept on walking until he found a big tree with a nice shady trunk and he sat down against it. He looked at the magnificent bird in the sky and spoke quietly to himself. "Slave. As if would ever own a slave. My feathery friend show him the meaning of freedom."

Almost as in sync with the words. The eagle screeched and dove with the sun at its back. It employed maximum velocity as it lounged itself at the opponent. As it drew close it raised its sharpened claws and in a grasping motion it tried to sever a tentacle of the merman.

TAKE FLIGHT! A New Challenger Approaches

The tension was at its peak as the three entities were in the midst of an intense staring contest. When suddenly the unexpected happens.

Fire Tiger said:
"Tora-tora-tora-tora-tora" Suddenly laughed the Mink as he shrugged his shoulders and walked back towards the tortoise.

The invader started to laugh as he seemingly started to walk away. Did my words ring true? Thought Tako as he remains firm in his stance. However the thought fleeted fast as the strange devil tortoise showcased another odd ability as its shell opened a window and just like the tiger man grew in size, so did a brightly colored bird, and to even more massive than the Tiger did. The intruder smirked as he lounged under a tree to watch his minions do his dirty work. This is despicable, another slave used as a tool for this mans machinations. The Merman was visibly disturbed by the actions he was witnessing, as he started to yell. YOU HAVE MADE YOUR CHOICE! the octopus continued too speak but this was more solemn and to himself, as he started to ready his response.

Forgive me mother for I must silence the voice of your creations today as Tako prayed he stood on 4 tentacles as two slithered around his back and into various pockets of his fanny pack. Take solace in my promise that the lives lost today will result in more creation than if they were allowed to walk in your warmth. Pulling out two small blue orbs and rolling them to the tip of the tentacles (like how you shoot a marble) the two mandibles now up next too Tako's shoulder the man continued his prayer. Father today I will return too you three lost lights, please like you do all things guide them to where they need to go in your endless current. With his right hand Tako reaches back and grabs his stick "Appa" and holds it like a sword diagonally in front of his body, Mother, Father, watch over your child today, and grant him the strength to do your work.

With a flick and *SWOOSH* the Gardner launched the two orbs one, then the other in secession straight at the massive eagle diving at impressive speeds. With his remaining four legs he coiled them up tightly and burst towards the Tortoise at nearly top speed (81 tier) with Appa now held low and behind him. I'm better off taking out his slaves 1st, then I can focus all my attention on him Thought Tako. The two "Pop Blues" were aimed at the eagles torso, while The merman was attempting a basic dashing slash at the Tortoise.

Pop Blue Aldovand- A carnivorous seaweed like vine that is very thick and traps its prey by binding up and constricting it, the more the prey struggles the tighter the plant grips. tangles and binds who ever it comes in contact with. (Botany 21, Large building Level durability)

Pop Blue Coral Seed- A hard calcium that spreads to whatever it touches. This Coral can be used to reinforce plants, or body parts, or even encase people trapping them if not strong enough to over come the Coral. (Botany 21, If used to reinforce another plant +1 Dura tier, if used on its own large building durability

The seeds were fired at 100 botany (think speed scales of botany) and intended to hit vine first then coral to strengthen the vine +1
this would result in a city block lvl vine

Kilij watched how the battle progressed while sitting under the tree. The first move was meant to test the waters. Kilij's companions were a spear, a shield, and a saber. Gae Bulg the mighty bird was his spear. Meant to keep foes at bay while leaving devastating blows that would slowly debilitate the enemy. Its job was simple, attack, retreat, and attack again. By relying on speed it would chip away at the opponent's health.

Yet it didn't go that way. The octopus threw a couple of blue spheres that were about to impact Gae Bulg straight in the chest. [What are those? Seeds?] Kilij got up when he saw his friend was going to get hit. He knew that the unidentified flying orbs weren't traveling at enough speed to pose a physical threat. But since they were mysterious objects, he might have to step in to protect Gae from any special effects.

Just as the Tiger Mink took a step towards the bird, the Octopus Fishman took steps towards the tortoise. They passed each other at a fair distance and the Mink quickly comprehended the foes objectives. [He's going for Aegis! Not a wise choice.] Just how Gae Bulg was the spear, Aegis was the shield.

A spear kept the enemy at bay, but the shield defended the warrior from all damage. Like all tortoises, Aegis was a natural at defending. When it saw the incoming enemy it did what came natural, it hid its limbs inside the shell leaving only the hard exterior outside. Yet that wasn't all. Tha calcified shell suddenly morphed from an organic husk to a thick stone bulwark. The shell turned into a fortress.

The opponent hit the shell hard. Like a hammer hitting a bronze bell, a loud bang exploded all around. The shockwave of the impact was so strong that the earth shook and the dust rose into the sky. At first Kilij thought that he was using a wooden sword like those used in combat practice, but on closer inspection he noted that it looked more like a tree branch. [What a strange fellow. Attacking with a twig. Still I'm surprised that such a stick could handle a force of that magnitude. I wonder where he got it from.]

Going back to Gae Bulg's situation. When the spheres hit the bird's torso, they ruptured open in a flurry of growth. In mere moments Kelp vines extended out and tightly hugged the body of the beast. The wiggling mass of seaweeds wrapped around the poor bird's wings leaving it incapable of flight. As it happened Gae Bulg struggled against the bonds that constricted him. Following the effects of the first sphere the second activated with a completely different effect. This one landed on the initial algae and instead of adding more grappling branches, it modified the existing ones. The mass of plants slowly hardened as if millions of tiny microorganisms spread on surface converting the cellulose weed into coral like stone. The net result ended being that Gae Bulg fell like rock.

Luckily Kilij arrived just in time to catch him. Placing the huge bird softly on the ground, he looked for a way to remove the handicapping flora. But it was tied really tightly and instead of messing with the mostly harmless vines he decided to leave it after the fight.

"Sorry buddy, it seems that you'll have to endure it for now. Once we're finished with this guy, I'll find a way to get that off you."

Switching back to the Tortoise and the Octopus, Kilij saw that after the dust cleared, the impact was from the stick was neutralized by the armor like shell of Aegis. Quite a formidable defense. Unfortunately his offensive capabilities were lackluster at best. But for that there was the saber. From back here Kilij screamed at where the main battle was occurring.

"Tyrfing you're up. Show him the power of stripes!"

As the shout was heard, a new figure leapt to action. From hole in the shell where the tortoise's head hid, another massive beast emerged. This time it was Kilij's saber that made his presence be known. Tyrfing the Sabertooth Tiger had the highest offensive capabilities of all three. He was as big as a carriage and equipped with a power armor designed for battle.

Jumping in front of the Fishman, it unleashed a powerful roar laced with intimidating factor. The roar seemed to be some type of activation code, cause once it sounded the power armor activated and two blades unfolded from the cat's shoulder blades. The cold steel gleamed under the sun with bloody reddish tint as if they were hungry for the next prey. Not wasting a second more, Tyrfing pounced at the quarry. Moving parallel to the enemy it seek to cut them in two by the waist.

Tigers And Turtles And Eagles Oh My! (player three has entered)

All things were going according too plan. The Pop Blue found their mark, entangling the flying menace. The Lazy interloper went to assist leaving the Tortoise wide open for a clean strike. *THWOMP* The mighty piece of Adam tree acting more as a bludgeon and less as blade right now. The Tortoise did what comes naturally and withdrew itself in hopes of fending off harm. That wont save you thought Tako as his strike connected. Kilij was by the tangled bird manually inspecting the mess of vines. With the octo being occupied by the other two. Kilij might as well study the strange plant for weaknesses. It was quite hard, but not as hard as he first expected. With a sufficient cut of enough strength the knot should dissolve. So that's what he intended to do.

The hand that was touching the weeds suddenly went through a transformation. The orange and black striped furred tiger paw like hand change into scaly fiendish claw with talon like hook shaped nails. This Dragon Claw ripped away the calcified matter as if it were wet paper. Leaving the bright bird to once again spread its wings.

The dragon claw returned to its regular tiger form after shredding the vegetation. Looking back at his allies, the Mink's expression turned grim. He was expecting to see Tyrfing do some serious damage. But perhaps he has been underestimating the fish folk a bit too much. The tentacled one avoided the slicing blow by collapsing onto the ground. The eldritch being briefly wiggled and slithered on the ground like a spineless worm, before raising with a vengeance towards Aegis.

The crafty foe piled one effect after the other onto his fighting stick until the branch became a terrifying weapon of war. Seeing this Kilij went on full alert. The black tortoise Aegis sported the highest defenses on this side of the battlefield, but even he had his limits. This magnitude of attack would severely injure if not kill the hiding beast. So the pirate shouted in a hurry.

"Aegis Full Bastion!"

The tortoise hid in his shell unaware of danger that was approaching. Yet as soon as it heard the words it acted. The hard stone like shell that sat on the road trembled before exploding in size. The shell that was once as big as a semi truck suddenly blew up to the size of a stadium. But that wasn't all. The colossal shell was covered by a grand castle. Fully stacked with battlements, towers, turrets, ramparts, stables, trebuchets, cannons, walls, and a huge thick stone keep.

Now the attack wasn't contending with a large shell. No now it was against a full size war ready fully stocked castle. A fortified building made to protect royalty and safeguard whole kingdoms. This magnificent, imposing, and unstoppable castle was sliced apart by the saw like branch. The large razor rod met the stone and carved it into pieces.

"GRRRUUUUUUNNNTT!"

A huge roar of anguish echoed with soul crushing forces from inside the castle like shell. Clearly the devastating blow deeply hurt the beast. It cried in pain as it recoiled from the damage. Yet it could have been much worse. If taken directly in his smaller form the attack might have split him in two. But by going into full castle form, the blow just shredded a chunk of him. With enough time he would be able to recover from this. That's assuming that they survive the fight.

Because the opponent was showing more power than first expected Kilij went with a change of strategy. "Gae Bulg, Tyrfing, Aegis Tri-attack!" Commanded the pirate as he himself moved closer to the scene.

With the new instructions all three beasts went on the offensive at once just like they've practiced many times before. Aegis head emerged from its shell with watery eyes. It looked at the marine invertebrate and opened his mouth in a rage full scream. Just following the sound a full cannon materialized on the open mouth and fired at the octopus. Likewise the sabertooth and the eagle took their positions at 120° from the tortoise and each other encircling the foe between them. While opposite to Aegis Kilij walked in his hand on the hilt of the blades.

Aegis the Tortoise shoots a cannonball at the enemy while two other beasts wait to pounce at the enemy if they move to one side or the other.
