CP2 Base

The Cipher Pol 2 base is the base of operations for Cipher Pol's second unit. It is located in North Blue. They specialize in tracking and spying, as well as capturing targets. They are highly trained to go after their targets in the toughest of conditions, whether hot, cold, or having to go without food for days. Due to the pure heart of their Commander, a strong sense of justice dwells in this unit, and they truly believe their actions are for the greater good, and those they are going after are the root of all evil.

*Huff huff**huff huff*

The time was the dark of the night, but a few minutes from midnight. On an unknown island in the North Blue, a silhouette was seen flying through the air. One would think it was a bird of some sort, since it was flying. However, the silhouette was significantly bigger than a bird, and it had the persona of a human. On its back, however, were a pair of large dark feathered wings. The silhouette landed atop the treetops of a forest and infiltrated through the treetops into the forest below.

Always the same story. Just hunting us down everywhere we go.

The voice of a man said out of breath, clearly on the run. The treetops were thick, but the man reached an opening, a clearance in the forest. There, the moonlight shone on him, revealing him. Large dark wings. Long white hair. A pale skin, unlike most of his breathern. Sephiroth.

CP2 Base
Escape from Kashyyk Island

@kakashi19283
A winged figure moved into the thick forest of Kashykk Island. An Island that under normal circumstances did not receive many visitors for its lack of civilization. Yet it contained one of the more secretive bases the Government controlled. The home base for the CP2 division within the Cipher Poll Hierarchy. Specialized in tracking, subterfuge and capturing.

Sephiroth found himself in an open spot of this thick forest, moonlight penetrating the area bringing him onto a hypothetical stage. It was here that he took a bit of a breather from fleeing his pursuers. Yet as he observed the night sky he'd see a faint blue hue cover it before it faded yet again under the night sky. A strange phenomenon but unfortunately he could not dwell on this event for an ambush was about to happen. From the front as well as behind him two agents would appear, their strange firearm pointed and aimed at Sephiroth. The man with the glasses in front of him quickly addressed Sephiroth. Ordering him to surrender.
"Arms above your head! Jenova Prisoner 7855!"
"We've got you surrounded and locked down. You have nowhere to go." The young dark-haired woman added.

And true to her words through the thick forest a dozen or so agents would arrive, circling him to his side. Only the young ranked female agent stood at his back. The newly arrived troops were equipped with a dark suit and den den mushi earpiece, their trademark sunglasses were pocketed for now.

Suddenly Sephiroth would receive a flash of memory. A facility, numerous experiments and a painful loss. Was it a memory he wished to forget or did these agents have something to do with it? In any event, a fight was imminent. One that he could not avoid safe for him surrendering and giving up at this point in time.

However, another opportunity presented itself. A bush within the corner of his eye would rustle and move, even the moonlight obscuring most of this strange individual. The agents, hyper-focused on Sephiroth, failed to spot this entity but it was clearly trying to catch Sephiroth's attention. Only its dark tanned arms were visible holding a dark bomb looking object in its right hand. Sephiroth would notice tribe like tattoos on both arms, triggering another flash. But this time to his youth where most of his clan were clad in symbolized tattoos. The individual would twist his left hand with a thumbs up to the side, rotating it up or down once before ending at the middle part again. Through sign language, this person was trying to convey to Sephiroth if he wanted their assistance.

The help from a potential ally and clansmen wouldn't be an unwelcome sight in these odds. Even with their enhanced durability.

It was up to Sephiroth to choose his path.

Note: The matrix agents are simply fodder for a bit of flavour.

Sephiroth had come to a halt within the forest, taking a breather from his run. However, that did not last long. Within a good minute or so, the ''agents'' had caught up to him. A man in front of Sephiroth, a woman at his back, pointing their strange firearms at him to gun him down. A number of other agents showed up, surrounding Sephiroth. The sight of the agents shot a blitz of pain through Sephiroth's brain, like a piercing headache. He grabbed his head momentarily. However, in that moment, he spotted the rustling bush, and within it, a... person? Their hands stuck out of the bush, one hand holding an explosive, while the other hand motioned a thumbs up or a thumbs down. The agents did not spot the person in the hiding, but Sephiroth did - and to his surprise, the person had tattoos on their arms, tattoos that reminded Sephiroth of their homeland. Much to his surprise, Sephiroth had an ally in this place. Did he know them? His memory was foggy.

The agents urged Sephiroth to surrender. With still a slight look of discomfort on his face, from the headache, Sephiroth surrendered.

Alright alright, I give up. You can take me in.

Sephiroth said, giving a thumbs up to the agents that he was ready to go back. Little did the agents know, the thumbs up was not for them.

The agents looked on with visual surprise. The Jenova weapon was surrendering himself but they had a suspicion that he was planning something. The man with the glasses would jerk his head towards one of the agents to cuff Sephiroth. Who at this point had his arms up in the air, thumbs up acknowledging the aid of a third party. The black looking bomb was thrown into the middle of things, for all to see. Its appearance was so abrupt and quickly that the CP agents didn't even have time to shout. Nor look for cover. By the time it appeared it detonated. Creating a large plume of smoke to cover the open area. Sephiroth too would be blasted by incredible amounts of smoke. But in the midsts of the confusion, Sephiroth felt that he was being dragged somewhere, his unknown ally most likely.

The two, if Sephiroth followed the direction. Would move with haste further into the forest as it shifted from a flat outline into a decline, as if they were going down a mountain no trees would obscure their decline. Eventually, they'd reach an open cave inside the terrain they were walking upon. Sephiroth by this point in time would've adjusted and noticed another Lunarian just like him. Or rather with the tanned skin, tattoos and from the looks of it. A black suit covering most of her body safe her two forearms which showed her tattoos. And last but not least a set of clipped wings on her back. This Lunarian was female which made it an even bigger discovery. The two would eventually reach this cavern, hoping to hide from the incoming pursuers.

Hiding in the darkness of the cave while its entrance was a bit hidden due to the foliage and shrubbery made it a perfect hiding place. Only those who knew the terrain would know this place, or so it'd seem. His ally would put up her finger in a sushing motion towards Sephiroth. More or less ordering him to keep quiet. It only took a few moments but the commotion of the incoming agents suddenly increased as they ran around and into the decline as well. But luckily they'd all move past them as they'd hear the voices of the male and female agents grow dimmer and dimmer. The dozen or so normal agents would follow in pursuit behind them. These men were more or fewer drones following the orders of those two. They wouldn't go out on their own. They had escaped their pursuers and the female Lunarian would flick with her fingers, igniting them as she'd 'throw' a small fire orb in front of her afterwards. The fire would help maintain a woodfire allowing for a dim light in this massive cave. With the two Lunarians now on opposing ends they'd most likely engage in conversation.

" If it weren't for your black wings. I would have figured you to be someone else. What did they do to you?" She'd question Sephiroth if he was an actual Lunarian. A common question, he had pale skin no tattoos. Only his size and wings would betray it. But she had to be sure. Waiting for an answer she'd ruffle the woodfire with a nearby stick, keeping it alive.

The agents moved in to cuff Sephiroth, who narrowed his eyes. For a moment, he had a tough choice to make. Would this mysterious ally help him on time and successfully? Or would Sephiroth wait too long, the ally would miss their timing, and he would run out of time to act himself? Luckily, however, none of those things came to pass. The ally was on time, throwing the bomb with good timing, and a powerful blast of smoke took the area. Sephiroth, who had a much more aggressive mindset, was about to use this opportunity to attack, but instead, his new ally pulled him away, and the two went on a run. Downhill, they found a place of hiding in a massive cave. They went inside, using foliage to cover the entrance and thus their trail.

The agents, quiet, heard the agents pass, and the two Lunarians had made a successful escape. During their run, Sephiroth had noticed the girl's physical features, which proved her Lunarian heritage.

Now inside the dark cave, the girl created fire and spoke, asking Sephiroth what they had done to him. Sephiroth knew she was referring to his lack of tattoos, as well as his notably lighter skin.

Nothing. I've always been like this.

Sephiroth said. There were two options for the girl to consider - either he was lying because he didn't want to say the truth, or it was actually true. Leo wouldn't leave her guessing.

I was an infant when we were attacked atop the Red Line. I was too young, so I don't remember how I got down from the Red Line, but I've been living in hiding ever since...

I'm assuming I was too young to receive the tattoos... and my skin is probably like this because I've been living in darkness ever since.

Sephiroth explained. He was only guessing himself, as he was too young to remember everything that happened back then, but his guesses made sense. He was separated from his tribe when he was only a few days old, so they had likely not tattooed him yet. As for his skin, Lunarians lived high up atop the Red Line, where it's always sunny, so perhaps they developed a darker skin because of that. Sephiroth, however, has been hiding ever since he was a young boy, living in dark caves where no sun could reach. Perhaps that was an explanation for his light tone - with his black wings, a thing he was born with, the only thing remaining of his Lunarian heritage.

Thank you for saving me... did you escape on your own?

Sephiroth explained the different circumstances between his appearance and that of his ally who'd rescued him. The female Lunarian listened closely to his tale, nodding in agreement to the man's assessment. " A logical explanation. A shame it all came to this." She'd respond to the man's story about his background. Next up was Sephiroth's own question. To which the woman would look to the side, sighing in frustration.

"Don't mention it. I escaped through the sacrifice of our kin. However, we're not out of the woods just yet." She'd say vaguely as she stood up and took a peer through the leaves and shrubbery into the outside. She'd continue with a whisper as she looked outside.

"With both of us on the run now, the agents have initiated an emergency lockdown. They've put up a barrier around the island, preventing us from leaving. Come and take a look for yourself."

The woman would say and if Sephiroth obliged to her request he'd see the same blue faint hue he saw mere moments ago. Appearing and vanishing before one could even register that it happened. The barrier refreshing itself every few seconds or so before it'd fade again in obscurity. Only when one paid close attention to the night sky would it finally be recognized.

"If we want to escape we'll have to raid their base and disable the barrier. It's down at the base from this decline. With the two of us together this shouldn't be too difficult. " She'd say before returning to face her new partner.

"So what do you say...Uhm?" She'd awkwardly convey that she didn't know his name.
"My name is Cyla." She'd quickly add before casting away her glance. Her arms crossed in front of her chest, black gloves holding her arms.

After the female Lunarian inquired about Sephiroth's skin, he, in turn, inquired about her recent past, and how she had escaped. She visibly frowned at that question, as it recalled the memories of the fact that she had to escape on the backs of her fellow kin, who were left behind to die. or be recaptured. It was certainly a tragedy, but hearing that did not invoke any type of reaction from Sephiroth. He seemed to be quite cold to these things - almost as if his life had been so horrible so far, that tragedies didn't even affect him anymore. Discrimination and death were a part of his everyday life.

The female Lunarian then spoke about their situation, bringing Sephiroth's attention to the barrier that had been erected around the island. She formulated a plan that involved them going to raid the enemy's base, where the on and off switch for the barrier was. She introduced herself with the name Cyla, and asked Sephiroth's own, as if to form a bond between them.

The name is Sephiroth. Let's get out of here together.

Sephiroth said, placing his left hand on the scabbard that was tied to his left hip. He was ready and on guard.

With no enemy in sight or around them. The two fugitives would finally move towards their next objective, the CP2 base. Cyla would take the lead, with Sephiroth closely behind her. Their route through the decline would eventually level to a normal path and into a lush jungle. Within this jungle, they'd continue their route, battling the local fauna and flora occasionally. Nothing too harsh, more an inconvenience than anything. Until at long last Cyla would motion Sephiroth next to her keeping a crouched position, hidden behind leaves and shrubbery. There, in an open field in front of them. Stood a large tower, made entirely out of red brick. It stood sturdy and mounted with several turrets. At the front, a single agent stood guard, scanning the environments from left to right. Like a drone given a simple command.

That's their base. Muscle tower. The weird looking dish at the top is giving out the barrier signal. It's made out of a peculiar alloy, don't think we'll be able to destroy it from here. I suggest a frontal assault from the front door. There should be a manual switch somewhere inside.” Cyla said, proposing a plan of attack towards Sephiroth. Would he agree with her terms? Or did he have his own suggestion?

The two Lunarians descended down the slope, fighting off the fauna and flora. Luckily, Lunarians were known for being able to ''survive in the harshest of environments'', so they were comfortable just about anywhere. Before long, the two would reach the CP2 Base in sight. Cyla motioned for Sephiroth to come to her side and hide, so that the two would not be noticed. There, she explained what the tower was, and which part of it they were going for - the very top, and the dish at the top of it that was creating the forcefield. Sephiroth was about to suggest to just destroy it in a surprise attack, but Cyla beat him to it, pointing out a weakness of that plan. If the dish was not destroyed in one go, they would miss their chance, and the agents would focus all of their attention on protecting the dish.

Instead, she suggested that they raided the tower head on and force their way inside, where they could turn off the switch. Sephiroth nodded, but added to the plan.

Ok... but we should split up. Chances are, if we stay together, they could capture us both. Then it's over.

I'll raid the tower and attract all the attention to me. You go find the switch.

I won't get captured if I'm focusing on survival. Especially since I can fly...

Sephiroth said, pointing out a difference between him and Cyla, whose wings had been clipped off. Sephiroth waited for her approval of the plan.

Cyla would listen to Sephiroth's proposal and pondered for a bit. Giving his version a great deal of thought. "Hmm. I'd have to go with stealth. Don't think I'll be able to combat an entire base on my own then." Cyla responded as she mentally prepared herself.
Sephiroth, however, as he kept watch onto the tower, would observe some people arriving at the tower. The agents that had pursued him now entered the tower, fortifying it from within. The male agent would shout something, the two Lunarians just within earshot to overhear this order.

"You guard this door. Everyone else within the tower. They'll have to come here eventually. While this tower stands, they won't escape!"

The agents and CP officer would enter the building, with only the female agent standing post outside. The outer building would also fortify itself by turning up more weapons and changing the structure. The roof would be covered with a metal sheet, turning only the top into some sort of igloo, with only the smallest gap in between the metal sheets. The gap would allow for the signal to be put out into the air but meant that one had to come extremely close in order to damage the various equipment that was within. The tower itself would also get several thick metal sheets, covering the bricks and fortifying it in the event of structural damage. The countless turrets would also be primed and scanning its surroundings. Safe to say, with the enhanced fortitude and numerous agents inside. Splitting up would be a much harder task than it'd have been a few moments ago. It was very unfortunate timing for the two lunarians.

"Damn. These agents aren't as dumb as I thought. So how about plan B? Two of us should be enough to take out these agents with relative ease. "

Cyla would say. If Sephiroth changed his mind, the two would attempt an assault through the front door. If not, their earlier plan would be deployed. But would these new parameters change its outcome?

Sephiroth still thought his plan made sense. However, after the most recent developments, his plan was destroyed. Since the building was so strongly fortified, Sephiroth prancing around in front of it would be no distraction. They would simply ignore him or put the turrets t shoot him down automatically, while all the agents focused on Cyla, ganging up on her and likely capturing her. Furthermore, when Sephiroth had initially formed his plan, he thought that perhaps, the agents wouldn't even be aware of Cyla's presence. After all, when she came to save Sephiroth, she threw a smoke bomb, so maybe they wouldn't have seen her. If that was the case, the agents maybe would have thought Sephiroth was the only enemy, and so if he made his presence known in front of the tower, he would be able to distract them fully. But, the male agent shouted, he referred to them in plural, which proved that they knew of Cyla's presence as well.

There was no choice. They had to raid the tower in a grand frontal assault. Sephiroth nodded.

Let's do this.

He said, conjuring two powerful orbs of fire in the palms of both of his hands.

The plan had been changed, and Sephiroth accepted Cyla's terms. The two would not hesitate and went onto the offensive. Cyla up first rushed forward with impressive speeds directly towards the main door. Agent Yayoi would notice the intruders and began to open up fire. The turrets too would be activated, concentrating their fire on Cyla. She'd move left and right shifting directions every so often as to misdirect the turrets, increasing their changes to misfire. Cyla while in range would snap her two fingers on both hands, igniting them with a blazing hot fire. One orb would go for Yayoi, but directly in front of her, kicking up all kinds of debris and smoke in front of her face. The other would go to one of the several turrets, decommissioning it for the time being. The agent, caught in the smoke, would shield her eyes as she'd move out of the plume. Distracted and eyes watered, she'd try and focus her vision. The moment to strike was now.

"Now! Quickly!" Cyla shouted. Sephiroth's move was right now.

Cyla went onto the offensive, jumping out of the bushes and rushing the tower head on. This would attract a lot of attention from both the female agent, as well as the turret. Cyla employed a similar technique, creating orbs of fire - two of them, of which one was hurled toward the agent, while the other toward the turret. The collision of the orbs of fire would create obscurity, which prompted the female agent to shield her eyes and run out of it. However, in doing so, she had let down her guard.

At that moment, Sephiroth hurled both of the orbs of fire. One once again went for the turret, keeping it occupied, while the other went toward the female agent, aiming to blast her.

DPR: 41-60: 3. Wall/Tree Level + C:+1 = 61-80: 4. Small Building Level

If the attack was successful, the female agent would have significant burns inflicted on her - and likely some pain from the concussive force. However, one such attack would not be enough, and that is where further teamwork came into play. The concussive blast of the orb of fire, if hit, could also knock the female agent off of her feet, which would expose her to a follow up attack from Cyla.

Finish her off!

Sephiroth said, jumping out of the bushes and flapping his wings, rushing the turret to keep it occupied.

Sephiroth and Cyla's teamwork were nearly perfect, surprisingly so. Given that the two had only met a few moments ago. In any event, Sephiroth would follow up from Cyla. He'd throw his own fire orb towards the CP2 agent and to another turret. The latter would explode upon contact with the lunarian fire. Agent Yayoi who had her eyes open at least slightly would do her best to avoid. She'd roll to the side and tried to get in at least one round of fire towards Sephiroth.
21-40: 2. Street Level
In her roll, however, the Lunarians fire orb would come into play. Crashing into the ground and detonating, it'd spray some fire upon her and forcefully eject her out of her roll. Cyla who noticed this did not hesitate and quickly attacked. She'd move in towards Agent Yayoi and gathered enough force to deliver a kick towards her body. The agent who was forced out of her own movement saw no opportunity to defend or counter. The kick would make full contact with her, blasting her backwards and into the massive brick tower. The crash against it was strong enough to show a few notable cracks upon it, showing that even with such high force this tower was formidable. Agent Yayoi would land onto the ground again with a thud, having lost consciousness in the process.

Cyla would quickly move over towards Yayoi and searched for something before rushing towards the door. With a wave of her hand, the door would finally open and at last they'd have entry into the tower. " C'mon let's go!" Cyla said as she rushed forward into the ground floor of the building.

Sephiroth if he followed would be met with a spacious ground floor that was almost too white for its own good. Fitted with several desks and computers bleeping, there wasn't much else but an elevator at the back. Sephiroth if he wished could gather intel or go straight towards the first floor of the tower. In the corners, a small red light was also blinking every so slightly. Obviously they were aware of their intruders. But they decided to wait and let them come towards them.

Sephiroth's orbs of fire exploded, giving opportunity to Cyla to finish the agent off. The agent managed to fire a few more shots toward Sephiroth, but he was already on the move, so avoiding those from that distance was easy enough. Cyla took the opportunity and knocked the agent out, surprisingly not killing her. Sephiroth would have been less merciful. As Sephiroth was moving forward, his right leg erupted with a strong Lunarian fire as he got ready to kick the door down. But, Cyla beat him to it, taking what was likely the agent's ID off of her unconscious body and using it to open the door. The two Lunarians entered the building, finding themselves on the ground floor.

A spacious white room spanned in front of them, with computers and paperwork all about. With Cyla not rushing things ahead, Sephiroth stopped for a moment and looked around. He would look through some of the paperwork and check some of the computer screens. Sephiroth was not a scientist or had any such skill, so what information he could discern, would probably be limited. But, it was better than nothing.

Do you know anything else about this place, other than that it's responsible for the barrier?

Sephiroth asked, wondering if Cyla was any more privy to what was in these documents and computers.

The two Lunarians found themselves at the ground floor of this unusually tall tower. Sephiroth would take his time to look around, trying to see if he could find additional information. The computers all held files that contained information to Jenova Prisoner 7855 but most of them were password locked, so he sadly hit a wall in that regard. The files on their desks however had some bits and pieces of intel. Information regarding how long they were tracking Sephiroth, Prisoner 7855, after his escape from their captivity. They went more into detail about it, saying that his mental state was pinged by their AI. If he was left unchecked, he'd become a high threat to the Government in the future. The truth and existence of Lunarians had to be covered up completely. If containment wasn't an option, execution was a granted right to these Agents. Lastly, they went over the specifics of Kashyk Island. How the barrier was put in place to potentially keep Prisoner 7855 from fleeing, the satellite controls on level 3 had to be protected at all cost. If those fell, the barrier would be neutralized.

"Not really, unfortunately. All I gathered is that this tower is responsible for the barrier"

Cyla would say as she'd afterwards moved towards the back, where an elevator was positioned. If Sephiroth was done looking around. Their next step was up the tower. If information was correct, level 3 was the way to go.

Sephiroth looked through the screens, finding information on Jenova Prisoner 7855. Whoever that was, seemed to be at the center of what this island was all about. However, all further information was locked behind passports. When Sephiroth moved onto the paperwork that was scattered about, he shuffled through it and found more information. His eyes widened in shock as he laid one particular piece of documentation back down onto the table.

He was Jenova Prisoner 7855.

Suddenly, a shot of pain blitzed through his head, resulting in a strong headache. Sephiroth winced and grabbed the right side of his head with his right hand. He closed his eyes and started to take deep breaths, hoping to bring the pain back under control. During that time, memories came back to him. Memories of a facility. Memories of scientists. Memories of pain and torture. Much wrong had been done to Sephiroth in the past, but he had mentally blocked it all away.

As he continued to breathe and focus, the pain went away. Cyla looked at him with a level of concern, but Sephiroth was quick to dismiss her worries.

I'm fine, let's go...

Sephiroth said and the two walked toward the elevator. Level 3 was where they had to go. However, just before entering, Sephiroth stopped, pointing out a problem.

Wait... before we go... There's a chance that they are watching us. Is it really a good idea to enter the elevator? It could be a trap.

A secret that'd shock Sepiroth to his core. He was prisoner 7855. It'd strike a painful chord within the Lunarian, memories of a painful part of his life. The mental shock would strike the man like a stab from a knife. Cyla would look at the man with confusion and wonder. Just what was happening to him? What was he reading? The man took a few moments to pace himself. Concentrated breathing and focus would eventually calm him down enough, so they could proceed. Cyla would continue to look at him with curiosity. Eventually, the man stood ready once more as they moved towards the elevator, where he made a decent remark. To which Cyla would respond with reluctance not to his question but at the situation.
"Unfortunately, it's the only way up in this building. If we want to get up top, the elevator is the way to go. Seems obvious that they know this. I gather it's the only reason why they left it up and running." Cyla would say, revealing that if they wanted to go up, the elevator was the way to go.

Whether Sepiroth had a different method of travelling upwards or they decided to go with the elevator. They'd eventually reach the first floor. Through the opening of doors or another method, they'd find themselves on a floor similar to of the ground one. But this time two agents stood at the ready to intercept. Agent Ginoza and Agent Shuusei. One was armed with a rifle and the other stood barehanded, perhaps he was the fighter of the two? Behind them stood another elevator, one that'd most likely bring them to level 2. The road to the third floor would most likely be a copy of the on they were in. The agents were funnelling Sephiroth and Cyla up top while hoping to exhaust them at the same time.

"You've got one final chance, Prisoner 7855 and you stranger! Surrender and your execution will be painless!"
"Ginoza-san. It's futile you know that right? He won't come without a fight. If he did, we wouldn't be in this mess."
"We've got a code Shuusei-san."
"Urgh. You and your code. Can't you see he's not alone here? Why on earth would he surrender??" Shuusei would roll his eyes at the honor code Ginoza employed.

The agent with the glasses was called Ginoza while the other one was known as Shuusei, the former would aim with his strange looking gun at Sephiroth. The gun would let out several beeps before shifting its appearance, electricity primed within as sparks flew left and right from it. For now, the two agents would wait and hoped for a preferable answer from Sephiroth. Ginoza, however, referred to Cyla as a stranger. Sephiroth had a codename within the agents, but Cyla was someone unknown.
