" A strong person like you just happened to wander off in this Insomnia town. Are you on a vacation? Even if you did, you just happened to come across the very mansion which contains the secret to the city's sins." She paused and caught her breath. " Even a child can see through that kind of a lie, my friend"
Nero cocked his eye at Ross; there was such earnestness in her words, and he stood irresolute while his sword locked with Ross bat, still clashing. "I was sure that you would trust me," said Nero thoughtfully as he smiled with some bitterness. "I have no alternative motives, I trust that this may all prove to be an absurd mistake. Well, I came here to this city for a view. Unfortunately, I met a kid who wanted my help so I followed him here and that kid was nowhere to be seen when I reached this place. This, of course, I was curious when I saw this house so I decided to do a little bit of search"

Nero was in a situation of trust and honor as if this horrible misfortune to come here in this city wasn't enough. There is no use of the details of Nero coming here, like hell she's gonna trust that Nero just came to this city for a view. At that moment Nero had wanted her to guess how he was feeling. If she didn't trust him then it's the end of little talk and Nero will have no choice but to fight her seriously. To be honest, he had no reason to involve in this mess yet he wasn't able to bring himself to ignore it. He sighed within his heart... It's a futile effort. While thinking that, he added.

"I don't see why I should trust you any more than you trust me. Do you understand?"

Ross listened to Nero while he explained his motives. As she heard him saying about the mysterious child who had disappeared, it had reminded her of the group she met herself while coming here who had tried to jump on her. The children of Insomnia town seemed very mysterious. Nevertheless she weighed each word spoken by him. There was no sign of defiance or secrecy in them instead they were spoken with great honesty and truth which Ross couldn't deny.

"I don't see why I should trust you any more than you trust me. Do you understand?"
Truth be told, you did not strike me as a Government agent or a Marine. Do you know why? You would have attacked me on the first instance and fought me to death when you met me. You wouldn't want me to find out about the secret. But instead you agreed on searching the house.

That was true. Also all the time during their duel it had felt like he was not hellbent in killing Ross.

I would give you a reason why I shared those information about the island with you. Our cause is much more bigger and the more people we find the better. We believe in finding the good inside of people and unleashing that force to overcome the dark. I should introduce myself to you once more.

She paused as she cleared her throat.

Hello, I'm Ross from the Revolutionary Army. So this should explain my reason for being here, will it? Can you trust me more after this?

As to Nero's own case, Ross gave him information that may assist him in forming an opinion. He thinks that he may arrive at his facts most directly by questioning her. There was some information in which was new to Nero like Ross belongs to the Revolutionary Army.

Nero told himself to shut up, sighing a little. He was committed; what the Revolutionary Army had been doing wasn't just criminal, it was evil, or at least its how people see this organization. Nero smiled faintly, suddenly remembering its really none of his business, he will still do what he wanted to.

"I thought that something was off from the start." His voice was thick with amazement, sarcasm, and to some extent, criticism.

Nero looked at the Ross, with thoughtful and uneasy expressions. "No. Actually, I was thinking about burning down the mansion with samples and the research right here, and what happened in Insomnia. I was thinking no matter what scientists try about this virus there is no chance that research will be successful, unlike last time. Nothing will ever be simple with this virus and if it fails again then there will be another Insomnia city or who knows it may end up worse...."

Nero was a little too tense to smile, although he made an effort as he continued."Things have a way of getting complicated when you mess with things you don't understand. You'd think we would know that by now. . . ."

He was sure that he was able to convince Ross from taking the sample to the outside world, and thus this will manage to save them from the unexpected crisis. But now, even he recognized that his way of living life seems like an excuse. There is no room for argument. Even while he was searching for a sample, reading the keeper's diary, it wasn't like him, Nero simply like to let the things as they're but why did he try to involve himself in this? It was a mystery to him.

Nero's words made her brows furrow. Even though Ross was relieved that the guy was in her favor, but his intentions of burning the house down made her amazed. Burning the house down would be a very bold move. Whoever house it was, whoever was behind this research was sure to unfurl themselves and raise some chaos. If there was none, then it would also ensure that the secret to the experimenting died along with this omnious mansion. Ross had already sensed the house with her observation haki to check if the small balls of light she had sensed earlier were still present in the house. But it seemed that while she was busy hustling, they had escaped. It was very unfortunate but nothing could be done. Ross couldn't leave this house without seeing it to the end. The proposal brought forward by Nero was delightful and there was nothing to loose because a small sample laid safely nestled in her pocket. She could always hand the sample over to the research department. She could also make sure that her visit to the island was fruitful.

While she was thinking all sorts of things, she was not aware that she was staring towards the wall. One could say it was awkward. She flushed as she came to her senses. She looked at Nero and considered for a moment before speaking.

"You have really thought through this huh?" She gave a small smile. "I like the way you think. The fact that you considered destroying this mansion along with it's secrets before anyone got their hands on it".

She went on " Ok. I'll help you in burning this house down."

All the time that she was telling him this she never once looked try to stand for her point after Nero's intentions, and her voice was quite unlike her usual tones. It was evident to him that she was saying what was false or likely half-truth. Nero said nothing in reply, but turned his face to the wall, sick at heart, with his mind filled with a thousand venomous doubts and suspicions. What was it that Ross was concealing from him? He felt that he should have no peace until he knew, and yet he shrank from asking her again after once she had told him what it seems to be a half-truth. It was no use to toss and tumbled, framing theory after theory, each more unlikely than the last.

"Ross. I trust very much to your acceptance of my judgment and discretion, and I know that you will advise me for the best." there was no choice. Nero must confess that he has a keeper's diary and a reason behind to dissect the sample right here. It was all he could do to win her trust. Then he took out keeper's diary from his Jacket, the diary size wasn't big so it was for him to carry it around.

"To be honest I never trusted you so I had withheld it from your knowledge. And now, to win your trust fully I had to show it to you." Nero's eyes were on the keeper's diary and from the slight smile which played over his face, one can see that the speech had not been lost upon him. "But now I think I trust you enough."

Nero let out a bright smile. At that moment, Nero remembered. The last entry of the keeper's diary which leads him to have this decision.

Day 24

If someone reading this that's means I am no longer alive... I feel like I am teetering on the edge of reason just thinking about my impending doom. I would give anything to see my research to come true. But it's foolish to think and the only right decision to this moment is to destroy this entire lab and burn down every clue that resides inside it so it never reaches the outer world.

As far as I know, I am infected with this virus. I sincerely hope things do not reach such a desperate pass, but if it has turned out that I am now the last person remaining alive. I want whoever reading this is to destroy this entire lab. Please do everything in your power to make sure this research never goes to the outside world.

If everything is still running normally, you should be able to find underground all locks and underground lab.

There is just one more thing... and it is my last request. I hope whoever you're is to make the right decision and let this hideous place, research to die right here and don't fall in the hands of wrong people.
