How do you deal with expressing your emotions? Are you comfortable talking to people about inner turmoil or is it something you keep private? How do you tend to react to adverse emotions?

I am very open about my feelings - If i feel a certain way i will say so and not pretend otherwise

Keeping everything in is the worse thing one can do. Eats you alive , even if it is something trivial like not wanting to do something.

As for my personal bushiness , only my closes peeps know it

Just yesterday I was phoning with this random asexual girl I met in League of Legends, which had problems with her boy.
It started with him leaving the chat and leaving me with her, so she instantly started to cry and shittalk her life out of her.
So we ended up phoning for 5 hours talking about alot of stuff, it was beautiful.
So basically I have no problems aslong as I trust the person. I wouldn't be open at work and make myself vulnurable there. But I have no problems being vulnerable to close people.

Anyway I lost alot in the recent weeks/months, I became jaded and I have nothing to lose, even easier for me to open up.
I just think, what if I am gone tomorrow? Then today noone knows about me...it is better to be loud and clear than silent and crypted tho.

It depends on the person and situation, honestly. Usually I am outgoing and expressive. If I don't feel well, I will say so. If I feel happy, I will show it. If I can trust the person with certain things, I will be open about it. If I have the feeling I can tell them anything, I will do so. I learned to not care much anymore and to not hide myself. It's better to make clear what's bothering me. In a direct way.

When I am in a fight or discussion, I tend to stay mostly calm and rational though. Because in that moment I don't like to be emotional because it could easily influence the outcome of the argument or make it worse. I don't want to shove the fault at someone, I don't like to be angry at someone for something they might not have much control over. I don't want to make everything heated. Even if someone hurts me then, I try to cover it and express it somewhere else than directly to person I am in conflict with.

Yeah for me with family and friends I keep everything to myself. I know it's stupid of me to do this but I'm stubborn and hate to think I'm bothering people with my feelings and problems.. But with my girlfriend I feel like I can be vulnerable and tell her things I just can't be like that with friends and family just don't feel right.. So yeah depends who it's with its weird I just feel more comfortable around her and feel like she understands me more is all. :)

@Piry @AL.

Don't want to say anything about it, just share a bit of a story. I had a friend once, a really close friend. For good six years. Funny guy, awesome friend, good mood, excited, good to deal with. He never told about his problems or emotions though if they were complicated. I am sure I was one of his closest people for years. Yet he never dared to tell me though I even told him my own problems.
Over those six years of friendship I saw him change so much. He experienced rejection, he experienced disagreement and hate, he faced unforeseeable incidents. I am not sure what in specific he actually lived through since he only ever told me the basics. But from a kind hearted and open person he turned into a cold and self-centered asshole slowly. Not caring if he said something wrong, didn't apologize for his mistakes, didn't react to stories I had told and just talking about himself. He only briefly mentioned people who treated him like shit so he decided to turn into shit. He said he knew he was an asshole. But he was done with people hurting him and he rather wanted to be cold then deal with it emotionally.
That guy never told me his problems. Not to me, not to other people. He always locked up his problems deep inside of himself, never spoke about them, never shared them to let out frustration. Never had another voice ensuring his feelings are valid and he should let them out and face them so he feels better. Instead he grew cold.
In the end, he lost a long time friend, who cared so much about him but only ever faced rejection from him.

So please take care, let out your feelings once in a while. Especially when it's something hard to deal with. Otherwise it could eat you up from the inside.

Well yeah one learns to be resistant to some things after a while but it's still nice once in a while to let them out. Even if you're alone :ghostie:

Don't take inner emotions casually even when you expect them to not do anything somehow you always got reason which hit you hard in your emotions

It's really has nothing to do with knowing someone... there are always things which is so unexpected and caught you off guard, at a time like these it doesn't matter how much emotional things you went through... though previous experience help to move on fast, still we shouldn't underestimate emotions IMO

For me is a little bit of both. Lately, I am more expressive and I don't care if I look vulnerable or not, yet I have to said that it depends on what, I have a big pride so I might close some doors

I can tell any of my friends about problems I'm having with work and love (mostly the lack thereof xDD) I mean, it's the usual topics we have, we just take turns in sharing. But I only discuss work problems in-depth with my mom.

As for really serious internal struggles I usually handle them myself, or tell that one close friend or two whom I usually bother if it becomes too much. I can't say I'm emotionally stable, but I handle things much better now than before
