Like taken from a nightmare, Kuraigana is a dark and depressing place. It is home to the humandrills, intelligent monkey-like creatures that learn from humans they fight and adapt their fighting styles. Truly a force to be reckoned with, they shy away from no battle, and will attack anyone on sight. They do however pale in comparison to the inhuman force residing in the main castle on the island. Dracule Mihawk, royal Shichibukai and The World's Strongest Swordsman.

Like taken from a nightmare, Kuraigana was a dark and depressing place. It was home to the Humandrills, intelligent monkey-like creatures that learn from humans they fight and adapt their fighting styles. Truly a force to be reckoned with, they shy away from no battle, and will attack anyone on sight. They do however pale in comparison to the inhuman force residing in the main castle on the island. On one of the many balconies that this castle boasted, Mihawk opened the door and walked out onto the balcony, with the forests of Kuraigana spanning out in front of him. Sat in the middle of the balcony was a table with a chair. Mihawk sat down with a glass of red wine ready. He leaned back into his chair, put his legs onto the table, took a sip of wine and opened a newspaper.

The newspaper spoke of the most recent events in the world. And it was a world-changing set of news. The La Spada Pirates, the Silver Vampirate Pirates, as well as multiple Marines, raided Wano Kuni, defeating the Beast Pirates. However, before they could defeat Kaidou, one of the Yonkou, another one of the Yonkou showed up. Big Mom. The two Emperors struck an alliance, and now the World Government was in disarray.

Looks like the world is shifting.

Kuraigana Island #1

It has been some time since the successful invasion of Wano Kuni by a ‘collaboration’ of three pirate crews and from the World Government, La Spada and her crew of pirates have since begun preparations for their next stage with Kaido and Big Mom. The Shadow, her right hand man since the invasion has managed to acquire King’s Devil Fruit power and took plans into gaining more power, skills and most importantly – getting used to the power of the Devil Fruit. One of his plans – is the World’s Strongest Swordsman. What better to test his skills with? Akira has been looking towards sources of information regarding the whereabouts of Dracule Mihawk, and after spending more time searching for the elusive Shichibukai, he has found his home – Kuraigana Island. And soon, Akira set off back towards Grand Line, with his powers – getting to the island on his own isn’t a problem. He does not need a ship after all.

From the horizons, a Pteranodon flew towards Kuraigana at high speed – large but not massive by any means, to a normal-sized human it is only at best twice as large in size. But the dinosaur bird would fly towards the forests of Kuraigana, descending down onto its trees before it would disappear. Replacing the bird however, is Akira – donning his raid suit, an armour of evil would be best described as such. His weapon, a blue sword but seems of oriental design, curved but possessed no scabbard along with it, not even a guard. The boy would prefer not to head straight to the castle, even though he could, it might be rude after all. Instead, the boy opted to take a walk – a little nervous, after all he is about to meet the strongest swordsman in the world – as a swordsman, it made him both excited and anxious. The boy could felt beasts around him but he may be fine – it is only a short walk to the castle’s entrance.

Akira landed on Kuraigana, entering its large forest. There, he transformed back into his human form and donned his Raid Suit. Both his Devil Fruit and his Raid Suit were new, and Akira was itching to test himself against the strongest swordsman in the world. This day would show where Akira stood in the world rankings, and depending on the result, the strength of the La Spada Pirates could become Yonkou worthy. After all, if La Spada herself was as powerful as she was, but she also had a crew member on the all-world level, the crew would become perceived as a massive threat. That is, if anyone even found out about this battle.

When Akira landed, many a bird and crow left the treetops, as if escaping. They made noise, which alerted the Humandrills. Akira's arrival to Kuraigana would not be a peaceful one.

As Akira walked through the forest, he would find the treetops and the bushes rustling. A few moments later, Akira would find himself surrounded. Twenty Humandrills encircled him, beating their chests and baring their weapons.

Akira was not welcome on Kuraigana.

Kuraigana Island #2

Akira’s landfall isn’t the quietest one – though he hopes to gain the attention of Dracule Mihawk with his appearance. Birds flee and trees shake and sway from his flight, noise were made. But what Akira himself did not expect are Humandrills, while Akira has met one without knowing about the man’s identity, he has never truly met a Humandrill like this. The monkeys have quickly surround the boy, with chests beating to rouse themselves as they seem ready to fight with weapons of various sorts. The boy however has no intention to waste energy on anyone or anything that isn’t Mihawk. The boy, in his raid suit would exhibit a burst of Haki outwards, his annoyance whilst hidden from his suit – is instead implied upon his tone.

“Scam!”

The power of Haoshoku Haki burst out upon from the boy as Haki would hit the Humandrills circling around him, Akira’s will be powerful, and it should be enough to cause the Humandrills to be afraid of him and leave him be, if not should they be too weak to handle the boy’s will, would likely succumb to it easily. But the boy isn’t sure how strong the Humandrills could be, after all this is where the Dracule Mihawk is said to live on. The boy of course, is still wielding his weapon – should any of the Humandrills brave the front and attempt to attack Akira, the boy would retaliate. But to the boy, he would rather intimidate the group of beasts away and just save his strength. Should the boy be allowed freedom to walk once more, he would continue his way towards the only building on the island, the castle.

The Humandrills snuffed out the trespasser, surrounding him. Strange creatures they were. On one end of the spectrum, they were prancing in place and beating their chests angrily like wild beasts, but on the other end of the spectrum, they were wielding human weapons of all kinds - swords, axes, poles, nunchakus, ropes, and even firearms. Wild instinct, human inventions, a sight and combination to terrify anyone. However, Akira was not concerned. Well aware that he was dealing with creatures there were of no threat to him, Akira glared at them, unleashing a powerful burst of Hao-shoku no Haki. The powerful blast of will swept through the battalion of Humandrills, sending a chill down their spines. They were not knocked out, however, they did start to sweat and back up. They were terrified.

Suddenly, the ground started to shake. Powerful stomps were heard, getting closer and closer. From behind the greenery and into the opening in the forest, another Humandrill walked out. This on was massive, several times larger than Akira, or the rest of the Humandrills. Each of the steps shook the part of the forest that they were in, causing more and more avian life to flee in fear.

The King of the Forest was here, the leader of the Humandrills. Its large body would cast a shadow over Akira as it glared down at him. Beating its chest, the massive Humandrill roared. Its roar kicked the other Humandrills back in shape. They were terrified of Akira, but they were more terrified of disobeying their leader.

As the leader of the Humandrills grabbed his massive white blade and readied himself, the other Humandrills attacked. Still surrounding Akira from all sides, a number of them charged in with their bladed weapons, aiming to cut Akira. The ones wielding ropes threw the ropes over Akira in a crisscross fashion, aiming to form a net over him. The ones with firearms aimed, going for Akira's life as soon as he showed an opening.

Akira’s Conquerors Haki would terrify the Humandrills around him as they backed away – but soon as if a small earthquake would occur around the island, a massive Humandrill, each step shaking the ground as it approaches, with a beating chest motion it roared as the Humandrill quickly regrouped, the leader would command the soldiers, they would charge at the boy with renewed resolve, though whether its resolve or fear is questionable. But Akira did not care, for the Humandrills are more than just annoyance now. Guns were readied, nets were thrown, melee weapons bared its fangs against the boy. But with a single look, Akira had a way to instantly get rid of them, of all problems. Swinging his blade as Akira pivot his foot and spun around, a circular air blade is quickly generated around him, going in a full circle both offensively and defensively – with enough power to not just get rid of the incoming soldiers, the thrown nets, gun wielding Humandrills but most importantly, given the massive size of the Humandrill leader – it would most likely hit the monkey quite easily as well.

“Last chance to scram.”

Akira spoke, this time with greater ferocity. Time is being wasted as Akira dealt with the Humandrills, hopefully once and for all. The boy did not wish to overuse his strength and powers, for the fight ahead would be tougher. But should the Humandrills continues – then the boy would have no choice but to truly settle it once and for all.

 

[Kaka]

The Humandrills, one after another, pounced on Akira. Some went after him with their bladed weapons, other with firearms, while others even showed strategic ability, thinking ahead and supplementing their comrades' attacks with an overarching net of ropes. However, it was all for nothing in the face of a stronger foe. Akira spun around, wielded his katana and unleashed a circular flying slash, which cut down all of the incoming attacks. The Humandrills that rushed in with their bladed weapons were blown away, the projectiles fired were deflected, and the overarching ropes were cut down.

The Humandrills blocked with their weapons, but they were all blown away - some of them defeated, others close to it.

The boss of the Humandrills was the only one to stay standing. When the flying slash approached him, he slashed his enormous sword, unleashing a powerful technique - though what its name was, was anyone's guess, for the Humandrill could not speak the human tongue.

Akira's attack overwhelmed the Humandrill's own attack, causing him to be pushed back. However, strong as he was, the Humandrill boss dug his feet into the ground and came to a stop. Eyes bloodshot and raw animal instinct going on steroids, the Humandrill boss pushed off of the ground, rushing toward Akira. Once upon him, towering over him, the Humandrill swung his katana downward, unleashing a mighty slash that could fall a nice section of the forest. The rest of the Humandrills watched on in awe as their leader fought.

Akira’s attack essentially deflected away almost everything that the Humandrills could have thrown at him, most were taken out but some managed to stay conscious but it is enough for the Humandrills to stay away, except one. The massive Humandrill stood its grounds, using a powerful technique of itself to dealt with the air blade, though he was ultimately pushed back but safely without injuries. This prompted the Humandrill Boss to go into a state of rage as it rushes towards Akira at incredible speed, it would aim to swung the katana downwards – though it would only be met with Akira’s blade, despite the massive size – the Humandrill’s downwards swing would not push the boy any further as if stopped dead in tracks by a more powerful force. The boy would quickly observe his own surroundings, the remaining Humandrills are only watching, perhaps even excited at the prospect of the fight. Perhaps these animals are one to truly appreciate combat, these are some pretty high intelligent species, if the weapons aren’t enough to convince anyone of.

Akira’s DPR vs Boss’s: 101-119: 4. City Block Level + A: +3 (Sword Bonus) = 7. Mountain Level vs 6. City Level
Result: Successful block.

Using the superior strength, with only a slightly better physical strength – Akira would note of the best way to beat the Humandrills, a fight is what they want and their boss’s defeat would be enough to force them off. Pushing and guiding the clash of weapons downwards, the boy push from the massive sword being above him to pushing it downwards below his own. Once the sword has pushed down the Humandrill Boss’s sword, the boy would swing both downwards but towards the massive sword’s hilt, keeping the sword down whilst aiming to break the hilt of the sword, and the hands wielding the sword – and finally one that would aim for the Humandrill Boss’s stomach should the attack isn’t well defended by the monkey. The defeat of the Boss of the Humandrills should be enough to scare them off, for now there's no need to utilize his Devil Fruit powers.

Description: A counter technique where the user clashes the weapon against the enemy's and forcefully push down the weapon while at the same time moving closer to the enemy. With this, the user aims to slide his weapon towards the opponent's hands and immediately with two hands, applies body momentum and swing out the katana towards the side. Through this, one can possibly cut off the enemy's hand depending on the weapon being used, or break weapon's guard and then the hands before finally resulting in a horizontal swing to the target's body. (61 Shuurin, 61 Reaction, 61 Strength)

The Humandrill boss swung his oversized sword downward with great ferocity, using his size, strength, the weight of his body and sword, to his advantage. None in this forest had ever seen a foe survive this attack, and so it was pretty much a given that the boss would win. However, much to the shock of the Humandrills, as well as their boss, the result did not go according to plan at all. Instead, the much smaller Akira was easily able to use his much smaller katana to block the attack, stopping it in its tracks. Then, with a series of attacks, Akira guided the Humandrill boss' sword down into the ground, broke the hilt of the sword, as well as the hand that the Humandrill boss was using to wield his sword, before landing a powerful kick to his stomach, sending him reeling. When the Humandrill boss came to a stop, having used his last strength to dig his feet into the ground and prevent himself from being blown away completely - he finally gave in. His eyes went blank, and he fell forward, his massive body hitting the ground with a loud, resounding thud. The forest shook for a moment.

The other Humandrills watched in shock. Their boss was down, and in one hit at that.

The Humandrills all escaped. An eerie silence overtook the area. All the chest-beating, screaming Humandrills were gone. But, Akira would be able to feel it. Something much greater was coming.

Suddenly, an utterly massive and exceptionally powerful flying slash swept through the forest parallel to the ground, cutting the entire section of the forest down.

A man walked forward, stopping a good thirty meters or so away from Akira. There was no swordsman in this world, that would fail to recognize this man. A tall swordsman with a lean muscular body. Black hair, a short beard, a mustache and sideburns that point upwards. A set of eyes that looked like a hawk's predatory eyes, piercing the soul of any man that saw them. Black and red ornate clothing with a crucifix pendant. And with him, a blade unlike any other. The Yoru. In front of Akira stood Dracule Mihawk.

The attack sent the Humandrill boss reeling back but this time Akira hit hard enough – enough to take out the massive monkey, whether the monkey is dead or merely unconscious is irrelevant for what would happen next became momentous. The rest of the Humandrills would eventually run away from the fight as a silence would overtook the area – something is coming. Before long a swing of air blade would cut every tree presumably in front of him, as the boy would jumped in response to the incoming air blade, the forest was deforested clean by a single strike. The boy is both surprised and not. He wasn’t expecting to attacked in this manner, but at the same time the appearance of Dracule Mihawk just in front of him a small distance away made him aware of such surprise, after all there could only be one person in this island that could make such a terrifying attack.

Landing back on the ground, Dracule Mihawk is in front of him. Akira’s target has shown himself, though not necessarily a target for assassination, but the boy’s objective is now in front of him. The boy would lower his sword for the time being and walked forward to Dracule Mihawk, until he is close enough for the approach before Akira would finally speak to the World Greatest Swordsman. His voice carried a serious tone, a little shaky but remains polite, the boy isn’t here to kill him but to test his skills. Despite his lowered stance, the boy is nothing but cautious – able to quickly react to any arising situation, even should Mihawk attack - the boy is decently quick enough to do so.

“I wish to test my skills against you, Mr. Mihawk.”

 

[Kaka]

The world's greatest swordsman, Dracule Mihawk, and the La Spada's unknown shadow, stood a fair distance away from one another, both likely wary of the other person. Akira spoke, calling Mihawk by his name - and stating that he would like to test his own skills against the world's strongest. Mihawk, with his Yoru already in hand, spoke.

A swordsman, I presume. It is not uncommon for swordsmen to wish to test their skills against mine, but you are the first to be as bold about it.

Coming to my home and issuing a challenge, I cannot say that that has happened before. But, you dealt with the Humandrills very well. You are without a doubt a man of some skill.

Very well, young man. Yours is the first move.

Mihawk said. His Yoru was in his right hand. His stance was ordinary. But, it was Mihawk. That ordinary stance was good enough, and it allowed him to react to anything. He did not commit to favoring an attack of any kind, such as a frontal attack or an attack from the side - he was ready for it all.

Mihawk spoke as he responded to Akira with similar politeness, a rare sight in this age of piracy. Complimenting on how the boy dealt with the Humandrills he has also accepted the challenge from the boy. This pleased Akira, but his expression wasn’t shown behind the raid suit – his grip on his sword tightened, but loosen up as the boy took a deep breath – he is given the honour to start the duel. And even with his face covered by the suit – the aura of the boy changed – he needs to be serious if he wishes to win. In a respectable distance between Mihawk and Akira, the boy would start his attack. In a single effortless swing, Akira fired a powerful air blade towards Mihawk, it’s not as large as Mihawk’s air blade however – but it carries intensity and power.

Akira's DPR: 101-119: 4. City Block Level + A: +3 (Sword Rank) = 7. Mountain Level

An attack to start things off, Akira is a cautious player – an air blade, much like he did with King back in Wano the boy aims to gauge his skills against Mihawk. Are they of similar skill? Or does Akira have to utilize his Zoan to keep up with the man in front of him? The boy wishes to stick strictly into swordsmanship after all which means that using his Devil Fruit powers would be a little ‘cheating’. But regardless of it, Akira will figure out if he needed to do so later on. The boy would leap forward to Akira, getting even closer to Mihawk regardless of the man’s actions. Swinging his sword horizontally from right to left to match against Mihawk’s own massive sword.

Mihawk accepted the young man's proposal to a challenge of skill, and Akira started the fight off. Swinging his katana, Akira unleashed a flying slash. The flying slash carried great power, enough to damage a mountain, but Mihawk could tell that the young man was barely trying at that point. And so, Mihawk would retaliate in the same manner, with the same level of enthusiasm. Holding the Yoru in one hand, Mihawk simply swung it when the flying slash approached, cutting through the flying slash and splitting it in two with little effort. As soon as Mihawk completed his swing, Akira was already in front of him, swinging his own katana. Mihawk swung the Yoru once again, and the two powerful blades clashed.

Neither of the two men were using Haki, nor were they using any special techniques. However, for these two exchanges, Mihawk came out on top just slightly. His first swing had cut through Akira's flying slash, and his second swing would push Akira back a few feet, showing that Mihawk's physical strength was superior.

With Akira pushed away, Mihawk would push off of the ground, closing the distance once again and then unleashing a stab with the Yoru, aiming to put some pressure on the young man. Clearly, Mihawk's swings were slightly stronger at this point, so would the young man show something more, or would he continue to get overpowered?

The clash between the young boy and Mihawk would display a difference in strength – as the boy was pushed back by the physical strength of the World Greatest Swordsman, this is problematic for him however, as the boy was hoping to keep it strictly within a certain subset of skills, it would not happen for Akira. If he wishes to fight and win, he would need to use his Zoan powers. With that in mind, as Akira backed a little from the push back by Mihawk – he would press a mechanism within his raid suit – revealing the sides of his gauntlets to be retracted away and the greaves would do so as well, retracting up to the middle of the shin. Akira did not speak much, but the boy transformed within the raid suit, accessing an alternate hybrid form whereby the wing webbing would emerge through the revealed skin of his arms as his foot transformed into bird feet and talons.

For Mihawk, he would immediately recognize the chances of the transformation to be a Zoan. But the transformation would be complete soon enough – the boy now with greater physical capabilities would suddenly change his grip of the sword into a reverse grip, and before long the boy dashes once more – this time with such insane speed that he would reach directly in front of the man, his sword would move continuously at the back as whips of air blade would form, swinging around like a whip which would aim to make it difficult to evade or deflect. In the meantime, the boy would move through Mihawk as the whips of air blade would flutter behind him. A flashy move but it should catch the man off-guard from the intricate strange technique that the boy has shown and moved in accordance with.

Mihawk and Akira clashed. Both of them were merely testing one another and neither was putting much effort behind their swings - and yet, these swings had enough power to cut down powerful foes despite the lackluster effort. It was not that the two could not be bothered to try. It's that they knew the other was strong, and so they did not want to show the other what they were truly capable of. Mihawk, however, had a reputation of the strongest swordsman to uphold, and it was because of that, that he had chosen to overpower Akira in the previous clashes. Akira, realizing the notable difference in physical strength, acted - transforming into a Hybrid Zoan Form. Mihawk's ever watchful eyes glared, noticing the change. He knew what Zoans were all about. Strength and speed, animals were superior to normal humans in those departments. The moment Mihawk saw Akira transform, he knew a stronger and faster attack would come.

And Mihawk was correct.

When Akira pushed off and dashed toward Mihawk, Mihawk swung with the Yoru. From the swing of the Yoru, an enormous tornado of flying slashes was created, surrounding Mihawk and acting as a defensive barrier that could also harm anyone that came too close without being prepared.

Akira's cutting attack clashed with Mihawk's tornado. The clash persisted for a few seconds as Akira's blade bared its fangs against the tornado, but before long, the sheer force culminated between the two attacks would burst. Akira would be pushed back, and the same would happen to Mihawk - the tornado dissipating.

You are strong without a doubt. But, you are no swordsman. You are a beast.

Mihawk said, referring to Akira's Zoan Form.

The whips of air blades coming from Akira would aim to hit Mihawk, but the Greatest Swordsman is fast as well – noting the quickness of the man’s actions to generate a tornado. Though it would seem more defensive than offensive. The tornado and the whips of air blades would clash at point blank as the tornado would spun the air blades erratically, forcing Akira’s attack to clash with the tornado before ultimately causing both attack to implode and dissipate – but not before its force would push both combatants away. Jumping back away, Akira was testing how much physical strength he would need to match Mihawk, but it is unfortunate that the boy wasn’t able to test it out with the previous clash, but he now knows he is simply moving too fast. Mihawk however whom didn’t seem too impressed with the Zoan would call him not as a swordsman but as a mere beast, which is technically the truth considering the point of having a Zoan Devil Fruit, but the man’s words would hurt the boy’s pride – even if it’s something he is unlikely to truly care about from a standpoint of his own personal goals.

The boy would suddenly stab the ground with his sword as the suit of armour of the boy would suddenly be sucked into a whirl, before turning back into a black canister whereby the appearance of Mihawk’s opponent would finally be shown. The swordsman himself would likely be expected someone whom is young already, though how young he thought the boy would be is questionable.

“You are correct; it is unfortunate that I have to use something like a Devil Fruit in order to match your strength.”

The boy would finally spoke in response to Mihawk’s words as he placed the raid suit away into a pocket. But the boy is true to his words, he has not much intentions to go beyond using his power of Zoan to increase his physical strength, after all he ultimately wants to keep it within the skills of the swords rather than an all-out brawl. Mihawk may think differently, but the boy would at least keep the fight within his own terms. Understanding how fast he should move, the boy would charge forward once more as he picked up his katana, this time Mihawk would notice the change in speed as the boy moved much slower in comparison (Same speed tier as Mihawk), the boy would swing his blade in a cross-like pattern, performing a quick cross-slash towards Mihawk, this time ensuring that his strength is slightly lowered (120 strength) to try and match the strength of the World Greatest Swordsman once more as he hoped the man before him would clash his weapon against his, allowing the boy to assess.

“I hope you do not mind, Mr. Mihawk.”

Once the boy has accurately gauge the strength of the man, he would be able to fight on equal terms – the terms which the boy wanted from the fight.

Mihawk said, accepting Akira's challenge. It did not matter that Akira was using the powers of a Zoan. A duel was a duel, and it was Mihawk's duty to win it, as the strongest swordsman in the world. There would be no excuses. Akira, retracting his Raid Suit and showing his animal transformation in its total glory, dashed once again, this time slightly slower than his initial movements right after the transformation. Mihawk dashed as well, and the two were bound to clash.

When Akira slashed, unleashing a cutting attack in the form of an X, Mihawk stabbed forward with the Yoru. The tip of the Yoru aimed at the point where the two lines of the X crossed, essentially hitting the attack at its center. This time, however, things were different. Mihawk stepped it up a notch. Having imbued the Yoru with black Busou-shoku no Haki, Mihawk aimed to stab through Akira's attack. He would be successful in that endeavour, and the Yoru sought Akira's chest next.
