- "...and now I shall announce that all the bets are open again. If you want to bet just go to any soldiers being part of the 169th. Last I heard my odds weren't good. Daddy-Sama is disappointed. The fans that supported him as he smacked Momonga around were no more. He disappeared for some months and people forget...." finished our hero.

# Shaarib was confident Akainu was going to accept his proposal. If everyone that heard the message was acting like the soldiers around him; it means Akainu was going to come. As Shaarib uttered these words, chaos erupted: Nescafe lost consciousness, some officers threw themselves on the ground having their hands on their ears trying to make it look like they didn't hear anything. Papers were thrown in the air. Others just decided to look at the skypiean with wide eyes while bettors were running towards the arena.

The vice-admiral began his neck and began walking towards the entrance of the arena. He was whistling. The job was done, now he needed to prepare himself for the wrath of Admiral Akainu. The halls were empty, most of the soldiers had deserted their post to go see the fight. Gan Fall's grandson was pleased. He rushed into the arena and tried to slide but fell on his butt. He sat and then began clapping vehemently trying to act like everything was planned. #

- And wait for Magma stick I shall.

Vice Admiral Hasaan continued with his preposterous guise in beguiling the arena through the stolen mic.

Sengoku: "I can forgive! Get outta way Momonga, Strawberry!"

The two Vice Admirals, albeit staggering and struggling to contain the Fleet Admiral kept on giving their best to pacify the situation.

Sengoku: "I shall go ahead and be the one to finish him if that's what he wants. Let go of-"

Suddenly, another marine entered his office. "Sir! Admiral Akainu."

Sengoku and the two Vice Admirals: "???!!"

Sengoku: "What happened?"

Marine: "We cannot stop him. He's on a rampage. He's shoving every single marine that gets his way."

Sengoku: "Where is he?"

Marine: "Heading to the are-"

Sengoku: "What?!"

Along the Hall heading to the Arena, the floor made of pure concrete and about 500 meters stretch, charred, and almost melting. There could only be one person who could do such a feat.

An engine smoking pure of charcoal combusts like there's no tomorrow. That's how agitated and heated Admiral Akainu is right now as he progresses the arena.

"I heard you, Sharib!", he yelled as his body emerged from the darkened entrance.

People of the entire marine base began to gather from every corner of the facility, resting their asses on their seats. Kuzan and Borsalino are included.

"This is gonna be good", Kuzan said as he sat beside Borsalino.

"Owww! It is.", the latter said in slow motion.

Nescafe held the mic and began to speak. "I apologize in advance but. It's tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiime!!!! This is the moment you have been waiting for. A battle between an Admiral and a Vice-Admiral, fighting for the position. Will the flame of rejuvenation triumph or the victor shall rise in the temple of volcanoes? Standing on the left corner, fresh from a mission in Fishman Island, the man who humiliated our very own Vice-Admiral Momonga last year for the position of Vice Admiral, the challenger - Hasaan! And on the right corner, every grand and boastful. Number one patriot of Absolute Justice, The Red Dog himself, Admiral Akainuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!"

"Raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!! Whooooooooooooooooooooah!", roared the Marineford Arena.

Suddenly, another big name dashed forth the center stage, waiting for the two to step in. He would speak, "Hasaan and Akainu. This fight is absolutely no limits. You may end up killing each other for prestige alone. You both sought for this, there's no backing out. Protect yourself at all times. Are you ready? Are you ready? Let's get it on!!!", Garp said as he moved back meters away, giving way to the two combatants.

"GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARP!!!", Sengoku shouted at the top of his lungs from far away.

# Shaarib slowly got up, his legs were shaking a little, his heart was beating so strongly that it could burst out from his chest at any second. Akainu was here, ready to fight and rather pissed. The epitome of Absolute Justice stood in front of him. Both had the same height and initially the same cap on their heads. While Sakazuki’s eyes couldn’t be seen, Shaarib could feel his wrath.

From the corners of his eyes, the birdman could see the crowd in a frenzy. He couldn’t hear them. When Akainu entered the arena, Sharib’s mind began to wipe everything superfluous. When Garp approached the fighter, the Vice-Admiral was so concentrated that he could only see Akainu and the arena. They were two fighters alone one a desert place.

Our hero was the underdog. He didn’t have the experience or mastery on his side. He would need every trick he had in his book to win today. He knew that without his powers he couldn’t hold a candle to Akainu, so when the admiral appeared, the body of Shaarib began to get covered by the blues and orange flames he used. His feet were already changed in talons, the wings on his back got covered by fire and formed 2 meters wide blue wings.

The imaginary gong resounded and Shaarib immediately flapped his wings with enough force to fly away and to create a blast of wind that was going to keep the Admiral in place for a moment. The attack wasn’t covered in Haki. THe birdman just wanted to see how the Admiral’s body was going to react.#

"Fight!", Garp said, igniting the arena even further.

Akainu would not hear anything but the droplets of his own magma to the floors. He was scorching with anger and annoyance over the young vice-admiral. He would kill.

When Garp stepped back, Shaarib readied himself. He quickly transformed to his hybrid form, unleashing the blue flames of rejuvenation. Wings erupted from his body and talons came emerging from his foot. And with just a couple of seconds, he would spring forth a violent gust of wind toward the Red Dog as he yelled at the of his lungs, "Transmigration!"

Sakazuki expanded his broad shoulders as he swiftly rolled them back only to remove the white marine coat he was wearing. As he does, the wind blast reached him, cutting through his volcanic body. The remains of the wind would progress behind him and onto the hall, he walked on to enter the arena.

"Huh?!!", the chorus of the crowd when they saw that the attack cut through him. "He did it!", Nescafe commented.

"Hmmm.", Kuzan commented as he sat on his bench.

However, the audience's admiration and shock would be filled with other thoughts when suddenly, Akainu's body began to retract, signifying the insignificance of the former attack.

"You would need a lot more than that to harm me."

Akainu suddenly pressed his feet against the floor, vanishing with his Soru. From there, he would appear at the right side of the vice-admiral. As he did, his right arm was already raised, his fist clad with magma and invisible haki. And without a second thought, he swung his angry knuckle across the air, aiming the temple of Shaarib.

# Shaarib couldn't mask his excitement. He was fighting the real deal. Akainu couldn't have been more cooler right now. The attack went through him and his atypical body just reconstructed itself while the admiral just looked at Shaarib with disdain. In any other case, Shaarib was going to clap in awe. He took the bad habit of acting a little too "friendly" with his foes. Usually, they would go down with one or two well-placed shots. Today it was going to be different. Akainu looked like someone he could hit with his best attacks over and over and still be able to fight.

- "Ma ma"

Admiral Sakazuki hit the floor ten times and disappeared using Soru. The birdman could see his opponent perfectly. He braced himself, when Akainu appeared at his side, Shaarib wings began to spin at great speed to form a shield made of blue fire. The shock came and Shaarib's shield absorbed completely the hit. He thought a magma fist would hurt him more but he didn't feel the heat at all. Was he immune to every type of fire? Shaarib was embarrassed, he feared Akainu was going to tear through his shield and overpower it.

Magma boy made a mistake wanting to attack a bird in the air. It was the young Hassan's domain. Akainu launched himself to the right side of the vice-admiral. However, surprisingly, the latter was able to see through his attacks. At the fall of his right fist, a shield of blue flames erupted, guarding the young marine against the wrath of his magma fist. Akainu couldn't believe what he's seeing. "Impossible!"

The crowd said the very same thing, "Impossible!"

Sengoku: "????!"
Borsalino: "Ooooooh!"
Kuzan: "I didn't see that coming. Akainu should be pissed by now"
Garp: "Bwahahahaha"
Announcer: "Impressive punch from Akainu-san but much better defense from the underdog. What will happen next?"

As the announcer asked that himself and the audience, the shield Sharib used suddenly morphed into something else as it dissolved. However, at this point and even at point-blank range, Akainu activated his observation haki, seeing through the plan of the younger marine. He saw the incoming wings trying to grab his two arms. Reacting just in time, the Admiral used this opportunity to counter-attack. Instead of him being grabbed, he would be the one grabbing a right-wing of the foe using his left hand as he channeled his might into his right fist to deliver a more catastrophic blow, aiming to dismember his challenger's body.

[Notes : You can't grab at least "counter grab"an opponent stronger than you. It will mean overpowering them. Btw Observation doesn't help you get a speed boost since you are at maximum speed already.
We will go with it nonetheless. It spices thing up ]

# Shaarib got surprised for a moment. Instead of hitting Akainu dead on, the Vice-Admiral's kick was met by an enormous fist made of magma. Shaarib's foot was able to keep up with it for a moment, but Akainu's attack was more potent than his was. Maybe it was due to the older man's proficiency. Shaarib was overpowered and sent flying away. He spun twice before recovering. The attack did not cause damage. The birdman's unique body prevented him from any burn damage, and the blunt damage caused by Akainu's fist, didn't seem to leave any bruise.

- "Ma ma, you are really pissed off ain't you ?"

Shaarib let out a carnivorous grin, this fight was going to be fun. Admiral Sakazuki draw the first blood and it was time for the youngster to return the favor. The Vice-Admiral flapped his wings and darted towards Akainu. He was not going to let the Admiral get to the ground. Getting close enough to the magma stick, SHaarib opened his palm and flames erupted from it. Shaarib knew his attack wasn't to hurt the admiral, his flames couldn't. It was just a distraction. He produced enough flames to cover Akainu's vision. The birdman went above him and with his right talon now completely black tried to stuck them into his opponent's back and sent him crashing to the ground. The last time he got repelled but now, he learned. he was going to attack at full power.#

I said he would be the one grabbing if you felt that you have enough speed to react to that, you should have done so... And I didn't RP that I gained a boost in speed when activating COO, I just used that as a favor to see through your attacks CQC.

Akainu felt his fist connected to the foot of the younger marine. When the two attacks met, an explosion ramified from the epicenter of the attack. Gusts of wind blowing from all directions erupted. The other marines at the front seats almost got thrown off their chairs. But Akainu claimed the victor.

"Whooooooooooooooh!! Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!"
"Akainu!!! Akainu!!! Akainu!!!", The crowd roared in unison.

"What did he think taking on an admiral? Fool!", Sengoku said as he sat, watching the fight.
"Bwahahahahahaha!!! Oh! You're here now?", Garp asked his long-time friend.
"You! Garp! What do you think you're doing?", Sengoku asked back.
"Let them have the match. Honor is at stake.", Garp answered.

The announcer held his mic and said, "What a trade of blows from the two fighters! That was a strong punch coming from Akainu. Sharib was sent flying. But wait! He didn't seem harmed by that punch. Why?!!!"

Kuzan: "There are fruits even rarer than us Logia-Types. And that is Mythical Zoans. That vice-admiral consumed the famed, Phoenix Devil Fruit. This is going to be interesting."

Akainu stood still, tobacco in his mouth. He responded to Sharib, "This may seem trivial but I am always pissed."

As he said this, Sakazuki points both his fists across the air and fires a great number of magmic fists toward the incoming Phoenix in order to block his attacks and perform a follow-up. This attack is strong enough to wreak enormous area damage in what resembles a cross between a volcanic eruption and a meteor shower.

"Forward Meteor Volcano!!!"
Large Continent Level

After that initial attack, a follow-up came swiftly after. Akainu creates a wave of magma shaped like a fanged doghead and launches it against Hasaan through his fist.

All attacks clad with Hardening Haki.

[Shaarib attack was planned, in my posts, the wings are still, only him, is moving. In your post, one wing is held while the other one is free.
And that is the case in which Akainu actually hold it, The difference in strength doesn't permit Akainu to hold Shaarib.

COO can't predict moves until the 120 thing. It can just give a reaction speed boost to help the user see things more clearly. I went with it nothing Akainu couldn't predict the move.
As I said, it spices things up. ]

# Shaarib couldn't proceed further ahead. The admiral was prepping something and from the look of it, it meant bad news. Sakazuki has responded, accompanying his words : a meteor shower. The previous attack that sent Shaarib away was now multiplied. The birdman had to stop his plan and think of a new one. Luckily for him he had speed on his side, when the first one was fired; SHaarib took the only way out possible : He flew towards the ceiling, his cap falling from his head.

He needed to put as much space between him and Akainu's attack. As he went higher, Shaarib glowed more and more, the blue fire engulfed him completely and as he appeared, he was using his phoenix form. The bird continued to ascend until he basically put 30 to 40 meters between it and the admiral. The fists made of magma weren't slowing either. The bird opened its beak and let out a cry. A cry strong enough to create a shockwave around it in a 12 meters radius. The wave went and met the meteors, the cry didn't create a blast strong enough to annihilate Akainu's attack but it was strong enough to deflect it. The meteors changed trajectories and went crashing into the ground making holes full of lava. A part of the landscape was changed, Shaarib from now on was going to prevent landing there.

The bird spun on itself, it didn't have time to make a joke because a dog head made of magma was coming at it. The vice-admiral could see it coming clearly, the distance adding its help. He ducked, evading it; the bird continued its path towards the admiral. Closing it on him, the phoenix began spinning on itself, the legendary beast's beak glowing more and suddenly turning black. The skypiean was planning to tear Akainu up with his beak. Shaarib knew it was risky but like his grandfather said : " DO or not, there is no try."

Akainu unleashed a barrage of Volcanic fists in an attempt to melt the raging phoenix, but the young lad was fast enough to unload a trick. Capitalizing on his flight ability and speed, he soared higher. Now on the higher ground, he emitted a wide-scale shockwave off his beak upon the former magma barrage, neutralizing most of it.

"Not bad!", Kuzan noted.
"Not bad?", Borsalino asked. "If this continues-"

When the two attacks met, the air space surrounding them rampage like a vacuum operating in reverse. Smoke and dust also covered the arena but the follow-up attack, the red dog's head ascended through the smokescreen. However, this attack was simply evaded by Sharib. It progressed to the ceiling and melting the point of impact. This debris is now molten rocks that will descend upon Sharib as he tried to land a significant against his senior.

"This is not good! The ceiling was hit!", Strawberry commented.

Everyone was looking at Garp, waiting for the fight to be stopped but the old Vice-Admiral was picking his nose at his seat.

Should Garp halt the fight or let it proceed, it might have been too late for now as Akainu would launch another volcanic phenomenon. Suddenly, the very ground he was standing on took the form of molten rocks. The very surrounding became super hot that it will be very hard to breathe. As this happened, he would call forth a large-scale skyward eruption of magma attempting to collide with the descending Phoenix. Traces of Haki fortifying the attack cast.

"Volcanic Eruption!!!"

# Shaarib went through most of the incomings meteors until he lost all momentum. He didn't continue, just stood there, levitating in the air. As he met once again with the fists shower of Akainu, he began to lose all that excitement he got. He could now hear what was happening around them. Soldiers were running out of the arena, some had lost consciousness, the brave ones stood still not wanting to miss the fight.. The ceiling was touched, the ground was now made of lava.

Shaarib surprisingly let out a yawn. Akainu was strong enough to match most of the Vice-Admiral's attacks, in some cases even overpowering him but Shaarib was bored. He thought fighting an Admiral was much more dangerous and exciting than that. He thought he wouldn't have time to think. He thought that attacks were going to flow from every direction. He thought he was going to get his ass kicked. But here stood below him an Admiral so pissed, so angry that he wasn't even able to fight properly. All Akainu was doing now was attacking from a safe distance and trying to destroy the Arena and Marineford with it. The birdman launched a kick in the wind and immediately after circular blue air blade was created. The Ranryaku went straight for the admiral's neck, it wasn't coated in haki so it wasn't going to hurt Sakazuki. Just getting him a little angrier or calming him down.#

- "Yare Yare... You are a boring old man you know that ?" said Shaarib clapping his hands.

Akainu went on a rampage, acknowledging the potential of the young Vice-Admiral; albeit all of those are subconscious. Angry as ever, he unloosed a barrage of volcanic eruptions skyward, aiming at the descending phoenix. However, the latter suddenly stopped in his tracks and for some reason, managed to escape all the incoming attacks.

The admiral remained on the ground, visually but his ego is always high as the sky. Bold declaration came off Shaarib's mouth. Jester as ever. And all of sudden, unleashed a blue air slash. The mad red dog ascended using a combination of Soru and Geppo so that his movement wouldn't be easier to predict. Dodging the descending Rankayku in the process, he would appear behind Shaarib.

# Shaarib shook his head. Akainu wasn't even able to hear anymore. The arena was literally on fire and Sakazuki still wanted to fight and kill the Vice-Admiral. The red dog lunged forward and disappeared, he didn't realize that the first time he executed this move, Shaarib saw through the whole motion. The birdman was thinking, the situation was hazardous. Akainu needed to calm down, fast. There were two options, SHaarib could either try to knock him out or just let him vent his frustration. The first one was impossible, the arena was in a bad state and since the beginning of the fight, Shaarib wasn't able to land a hit on Akainu. The second one was the most logical, the priest had the regeneration of his side. He could probably take the next hit and get up without much trouble. The Skypiean flexed his muscles and his whole body froze. His muscles became as hard as steel.

-" Tekkai Utsugi "!

The quinquagenarian appeared behind Shaarib and attacked while Shaarib tried to protect himself. The flurry of hits was too much for the Vice-Admiral to not feel it. The first punches rebounded on the black man's body. But Akainu didn't mind and kept hammering the birdman's spine until he couldn't take it anymore. Our hero fell rapidly on the ground forming a little crater. When his belly touched the floor, Shaarib's winged covered his whole body. Engulfing him in blue fire and creating a sphere of protection around him. When the sphere disappeared, we could see Shaarib standing there still in his hybrid form, looking clearly unfazed. Some scratches could now be seen on his face. The young man cracked his back and looked at his opponent hoping that the beat down permitted Akainu to clear his mind and be able to give our hero the fight he wanted. The ex-sword agent spat some blood on one of the lava-covered parts. He was really proud of his healing. Without it and the tekkai, Akainu might have destroyed his spine."#

Admiral Akainu soared high, cutting through the air with tremendous speed, power, and wrath. He emerged behind the young Vice-Admiral. Roaring one of his most dangerous attacks, ABSOLUTE RAGING WOLVES!, he unleashed a devastating principle of combined Rokuougan and Magma. Together, it erupted off his angry fists, ramming at the back of the rising Vice-Admiral. A true hero of the marines. One of the only few who shall be considered the future. A name of future significance indeed.

The admiral felt the connection and did not stop until the shockwaves sent his foe diving back into the earth. Cultivating a massive crater upon his descent. A loud crash was heard across the arena. A violent blast of wind ramified from the epicenter of the fall.

Even the announcer could not dare to speak anymore. The audience was left in awe. Admiral Kuzan and Borsalino stood up, and so were Garp and Sengoku. Akainu would not stop, he was up for a follow-up barrage until the vice-admiral rose to his height, speaking.

The magma he was trying to hurl around his fist along with the fortification of Black Haki suddenly exploded. With raging eyes, all in red, he descended swiftly. He didn't care to hear the opponent's reasoning. But it was at this moment, it had to be stopped.

Kuzan, another admiral of the highest caliber kicked the ground he was on multiple times, vanishing from anyone's sight; at least for those who couldn't decipher his speed. It was not allowed to interfere in any battles unless there is a justifiable reason to do so. But Akainu is insane. He would kill. And so it happened, Kuzan appeared between the tracks of the descending Akainu, harnessing a concentrated stream of ice and cold. These chilling elements would unloose a powerful force enough to stop the attack and damage the arena further. "ICE BLOCK"

Came along was a massive wave of ice in the shape of a pheasant in a single blast. And presumably the source of his own epithet - Blue Pheasant.

Two elements collided, two figures battled for supremacy - an ice pheasant and a raging red dog. The sheer force of the clash extended to the arena in the form of smog. And when the obscurity had settled down, Akainu would be seen still floating above, and below him was the other admiral who blocked his attack.

"W-w-w-what's happening?!", the announcer asked in wonder.

"Whoaaaaaaaah!", the crowd roared.

"Garp!", Sengoku said, looking at him.

"Buahahahaha! As expected from Kuzan.", Garp's response.

The admirals stared at each other. The red dog was glaring but the other was chilling as fuck. Suddenly, Akainu got back to his senses. Together, they descended to the ground. They would both stare at the Vice-Admiral. After this, Akainu walked out, not even leaving any words. Kuzan on the other hand respects Shaarib. "The battle looks like has ended here. You can claim the victor. He walked out.", he said as he looked at the walking out Akainu over his shoulder.

Garp arrived as well at the arena, putting an end to the match. He wouldn't decide on the winner as somebody stopped the fight with no clear indication of who's at advantage.

Sengoku walked towards the arena and he would speak just enough for Shaarib to hear, "Meet me at my office. Just you and me."

The three powerhouses would immediately leave as soon as the Fleet Admiral said this and he would be expecting Shaarib to follow suit.

# Shaarib was disappointed, the epitome of Absolute Justice wasn't really what he thought he was. Since their fight began, Akainu wasn't able to think straight. The more HSaarib saw, the more he doubted what he could have seen in the red dog. The birdman was embarrassed. As young recruits, they fancied facing the worst pirates alongside the man upholding what marines liked to call "Absolute Justice". They joined the forces because of their pasts. Most of them had a traumatic event involving Pirates during their childhood, so it was easier for them to show no mercy to pirates and other criminals. The world was either white or black. If you were one or were protecting a pirate, you deserved to die like them.

Letting pirates go or being merciful with them always led to more violence. Shaarib had burn scars that reminded him why he chose this path every day. The Vice-Admiral to this day only doubted his affiliation once : Years ago, when the government ordered the assassination of Rear-Admiral Lee. Now he was doubting again. At first, Shaarib wanted to fight Akainu because he respected him the most, Sakazuki was feared by all the pirates. It was the only one that was going to take his challenge seriously. He regretted his actions. Akainu's anger had submerged him. The red dog wasn't concerned about the life of the other marines, it was understandable in front of a greater threat. In a war, soldiers are supposed to die. Innocent soldiers shouldn't die just for Akainu to defeat his opponent. The truth was probably that the Admiral never cared about their well-being. This, was too extreme for the young man. He always followed orders without questions, trying to free the world from its threats. But now, he realized that he was ridiculous.

Akainu was going to destroy the arena and with it the whole base. Shaarib shook his head, if the older man wasn't stopping. He was going to put him down once and for all. The birdman wasn't sure how he would do it, but he was resolute. The Admiral was ready to throw down another magma punch. Shaarib was prepping for a retaliation. When Akainu threw his fist forward, Shaarib flew in its direction, arms covered with hardening. He was going to release the strongest attack he had in his arsenal: An ultra powered Rokuogan. However, another player was ahead of him : Akainu's attack was met by a pheasant made of Ice. Admiral Aokiji stepped to stop the fight. The impact, forced the Vice-Admiral to stop in his track and to protect himself with his wings.

Seeing his comrade made Akainu calm down enough to see the mess he made. Maybe he knew about Aokiji enough to not want to face him. Shaarib could never know. Things went fast and the fight ended on a draw. The Vice-Amiral wasn't happy about the results but it was better for it to end that way. He fought an admiral to a standstill. He should be proud but on his mind was something else, Sengoku ordered to follow him. Shaarib nonchalantly listened and acted accordingly. The next minutes were going to be atrocious. #

One of the most catastrophic matches up in Marineford Arena's history was put to a stop; thanks to the intrusion of the coolest Marine Officer in their ranks, Kuzan. Garp officially declared it thereafter. And finally, Sengoku, the highest official present in that destined battle arrived. He wanted the Vice-Admiral in his office.

Garp watches Sengoku exits the arena while he and Kuzan trade glances. And with a simple nod of both, they both followed suit. Meanwhile, Akainu is heading back to his barracks, still contemptuous of something else. He would sit on his chair, thinking about something. He then put tobacco in his mouth, lighting it up with his devil fruit ability. He stared at the door, spacing out.

"These pirates! Grrrrr.", he said angrily as he looked at the bounty posters resting on his table. This signifies his wrath a while ago and why all of these sins were being thrown at the young admiral earlier.

"Vampirates..."

"La Spada..."

"These scums... I have to put an end to their rising reign on the seas... If they keep on doing this..."

"If they keep on doing this, then Roger's last words are becoming reality."

Words erupted from his mouth like his own devil fruit ability. Slamming the wooden desk, a dozen of bounty posters burned to ashes. Isis and Gambit are on the topmost cascade of papers.

Inside Sengoku's office, and alone the Fleet Admiral is, he awaits. Seconds later a knock would be heard from outside.

"Come in!", he said.

The Fleet Admiral would go straight to the point. "What you both did there was intolerable. You will both be punished for that. I should. But there are more pressing matters our organization is facing right now and I need my top marines to execute the neutralization."

Sengoku pulled several posters from his desk's pedestal and slammed in on the surface. "Vice-Admiral Shaarib, I will send you out on a mission. This is harder than your previous expedition. This group of criminals has been threatening the seas, especially the merchant seafarers and it has to stop. Be careful, they are more powerful than you think. And most importantly, they are Olympians."

As usual, after giving orders, he would rise from his seat and would look at the young marines training outside, overlooking from his glass windows. He would continue, "A few of them are already dealt with. Maximize that advantage."

And with that, Shaarib, the rising hero of the marines has been given his new assignment. A mission that would be written in the success history of the entire organization. There is no room for errors, losses, and failure. There is only victor that awaits for the young Vice-Admiral.

Elsewhere, six figures from the same organization are currently walking their paths. A path heading elsewhere. Inside a particular room and on the table of this significant figure, a parchment lies. Within, a separate mission would decide on the fate of not only a single person, but more.

Will Justice prevail in the end? Or the justice we have known for centuries is nothing but a facade. Will the new era of piracy reach the final island? Or all these are nothing but tales of a dead man?

# Shaarib did not know what to say. He predicted an outburst from Chief Admiral Sengoku instead Shaarib was just assigned to another case. He hasn't even spend a day as a Marine and he was back on duty. As long as there will be pirates, they weren't going to stop. Scattered on Sengoku's desk was the bounties of the members of " The Trickster Pirates". What his boss didn't know was that Shaarib already had info on them. When he "defected", he wanted to go after a big shot crew to make a name for himself. But he quickly realized his team wasn't strong enough to take on them nor he was. Today was a different day. He matched an admiral blow for blow, they were not many foes he should be afraid of.

-" Ma ma, do not worry sir ! You will receive good news before the end of the week ! How can someone as flamboyant as me can lose agaisnt pirates ? Olympians are just a rip-off of the Goddess. They deserve to be killed for their blasphemy."

The Vice-Admiral bowed and took the direction of the door. He opened and turned to say one last thing :

- "I'm not going to come to Marineford for a while. I will track pirates and explore the seas for a bit. When I come back, be sure, I will kick Akainu's ass and take his position." finished Shaarib with a carnivorous smile

Shaarib couldn't say that he was going to exiled himself. He needed some alone time. He needed to go back home, to reunite with the man that pushed him on this path. The old man Hassan had the answers he seeked. Justice had a large spectru and our hero wasn't sure on where he stood anymore. Shaarib Hassan was born again, his baptism ceremony ended with the fight : Now he was leaving the base with something to alleviate his mind : Hermès. #

Kallavan's rude awakening

Pushed back to reality, Kallavan found himself back at Marine HQ. With a flustered look upon him, the man would take in his surroundings. The room was fitted with several tables and chairs, a large set of windows, a lounge chair at the end of the room and finally the bet he woke up in. None of this would actually give him any information where he was. The medical equipment and IV therapy lines on his right arm gave him more than enough information, at the very least he was in a hospital. But how he got here, how long he has been here, how did it all end? Were they victorious in their quest, or did they suffer a humiliating defeat? These were still unanswered questions for the young Admiral. Fed up from being taped to this bed, Kallavan sought to stand up again. With a bit of a shuffle, the man would finally reach the point where he could stand, and immediately felt that it had been awhile since he had done so. It was also here that he finally noticed the state that he was in.

Kallavan was nearly a mummy, bandaged up to such an extent that he could hardly believe it was him. Looking at the IV bag, he figured they'd have administered him with a decent painkiller, as the man wasn't in as much pain any more as he was back in his fight against Kaido. With a bit of a struggle and by using the portable IV pole, Kallavan would move over to one of the nearby windows. The fresh morning breeze did wonders for his mind and body, taking it all in without a worry on his mind. " Marineford...Can't remember the last time I've been here." Kallavan said to himself as he leaned on the window frame and took in the scenery, reflecting on Rohan and Nero's words. " It's a shame I couldn't do more." The Admiral added, cursing his helplessness.

"You've done plenty, young Kallavan." An elder voice called from behind the Admiral.

Kallavan recognized that voice anytime and anywhere, for he had to listen to it for years back at the academy.

"Master Ran'jit!" A perplexed Kallavan nearly shouted, it had been years, perhaps even decades since he last saw his master.
"Now now...I think you're beyond calling me master at this point Kallavan. There isn't much else I could teach you these days, Rahahaha!"
"Sir! I need to know, what happened?"
"Ah, it'd seem Leo was right in his assessment after all."

Both Kallavan and Ran'jit would move towards a nearby table, allowing the older gentleman to debrief his pupil. He went on in detail how Kaido and Big Mom are on the verge of an alliance with Onigashima now a divided between the Vampirates and the Spadas. Their territory split in half, with either side fighting for total dominance of the land. For now the New World was relatively quiet, but a storm was brewing, and it was only a matter of time before the stage was set. Who would dare to claim the era? Only time would tell, but history was about to be written.

"Damn it! Even after all that, that beast still lives?!" Kallavan shouted as he slammed his fist on the table. A doctor had come in to check on him during the debrief.
"It's shocking to me as well. I could hardly believe it when Leo told me the events. That Kaido could live through a Kikoho, it's beyond what I imagined young Kallavan." Ran'jit said as he took a sip from his cup of tea.
"Even the crystal of bravery wasn't enough, but I feel that its true potential hasn't been revealed to me yet."
"So it finally revealed itself to you, impressive."
"You don't even know the half of it." Kallavan said, but was interrupted by a raised hand from Ran'jit
"It is yours to bear, young Kallavan follow your own instincts on what to do with this new found strength. This is a path you must walk alone."
"I'm at a loss, master, even with all my might I could not strike him down. What do I lack?!" Kallavan said, doubting his abilities.
"Do not fret young Kallavan, I have prepared a decent sparring partner for you. Once you're back to health, of course."

Kallavan would look at his master with confusion and a slight worry. A decent sparring partner in this context meant brutality hard, for Ran'jit's students had all made a name for themselves. The door would open up as if timed and prepared in advanced, revealing a blue haired gentleman that was even taller than Kallavan.

"Yo! Little brother, seems you are in a bit of a pickle. Gurahahahaha!"

"Ardbert..." Kallavan said, annoyance clear in his voice. He didn't like where this was going one bit.

Kallavan's rude awakening

"Ouch, such hostility, little brother."
"Enough with the teasing, Ardbert." Ranj'it added

Kallavan clearly didn't like where this was going and observed his senior. The man was still wearing his trademark kimono, with an oversized blade at his hip. How that man could swing such a crude weapon was beyond Kallavan, but he had seen his destructive talent with it to not question it any more.

"So, what is it that you have in mind. Master Ranj'it?"

The wounded Vice-Admiral asked straight to the point, as he always did. He felt that Ranj'it had some kind of plan, or at least a way for Kallavan to gain the power he'd need to stand on equal terms with Kaido. Ranj'it would take his cup of tea and blew on it once before taking a sip, Ardbert by that point had also taken a seat and observed his master.

"Have you ever heard of Life Return? Young Kallavan?"
"You mean Biofeedback?"
"Oho, I'm impressed you know it by that name, Kally!" Ardbert added with a surprise. The term biofeedback was an older term for this combat ability.

Kallavan stood perplexed, the term instantly popped up in his head, but he frowned at the situation. He hadn't read or heard anyone mention the ability to him before it just flashed into his mind. But while he lingered on the memory, a flash of an old mink reflected into his mind. Perhaps this was an ability Rohan was quite proficient with? They did say their experiences would gradually flow towards him. They never meant an immediate bump in ability, it was experience and knowledge that'd give him a head start in learning new things.

"Yes, Biofeedback or how it is commonly known by today's standards, Life Return. It is an ability that allows complete control over every aspect of one's body. From the strains of their hairs to the bones in their feet." Ranj'it said as he started to explain before taking another sip of his tea.
"You've been relying on too much of that zoan strength of yours, young Kallavan. One day it'll mark your downfall. If you can master Life Return in the short few weeks we have left, it should strengthen your regular resilience to unseen heights. And in turn boost your zoan capabilities as well."

"So that's why." Kallavan said as he eyed Ardbert.
"Correct Kally, it's the main reason why those punches of yours always tickled me. Gurahaha"
"Please, Master Ranj'it. Why does this oaf have to teach me this?"
"Because young Kallavan. There is no one else within the marines who boast the same level of application in this ability as Ardbert does. He's the best in this field. Far better than I am, truth be told."

Kallavan slunk down in his chair, nearly succumbing to despair. A rather uncharacteristic event for the stern commander. He really...really did not look forward to this.

"Steel yourself Kally! I'll give you a few days of rest and after that it's hell training camp! Gurhahaha!" Ardbert said as he stood up and left the room, taking the necessary precautions for this training exercise.

"You should not let him get to you like that, Young Kallavan. You know how much it energizes him when he gets under your skin."
"Urgh. He's a master at it, Master Ranj'it. I cannot compete with that."

Ranj'it chuckled at that remark and finished his tea before standing up as well. With his arms behind his back, the academy teacher would move towards the exit of Kallavan's hospital room. "I'll be taking my leave. We'll meet again in a few days time. Rest and recuperate to the best of your abilities, young Kallavan. For you'll need it. The training ahead will not challenge your physical might, but your mental fortitude. But should you succeed, it should forge and temper that steel grit of yours to astonishingly new heights. Even Kaidou of the beasts will struggle against that. I can assure you."

And with that Ranj'it left the room, leaving Kallavan alone with his thoughts, unable to comprehend what laid in store for him.
