Man, I was eyeing Chuckster. That man would terrorize any of these teams.

GUARANTEED! 🔥🔥🔥
You could go Malone although I have Chuck being slightly better at their peak. Honestly, if you take out the 10 best players ever, there's really a lot of choices that you could go that you wouldn't really feel that bad about it.

That's also an overrated argument. The fact that there was fewer teams, means that all of those guys (Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlain, Elgin Baylor, Jerry West and Oscar Robertson) had to play each other more often than if there was more teams. For example, today, LeBron has the luxury of only having to play against KD twice in the season, while getting more games vs scrub teams. Back in the day, he'd have to play him many more times.

So fewer teams doesn't necessarily mean easier time. Could even mean the opposite.

They had to play as many matches as their competition. You make it sound like only Bill Russell enjoyed those perks. Everyone in the league did, and he made the best out of it.

That's why comparing cross-eras is stupid anyway.

What you should compare is how well a person did in their era. And nobody did as well as Bill Russell. xD

Also, even if you do the eye-test, you'll see how much of a monster that guy was.

Bill Russell jumps OVER a guy from near the FT Line - INSANE speed and hang time! - YouTube

A center, running with the ball like a guard, took off from near the free-throw line, and jumped over a guy (literally). lol

And you can make arguments that lower his greatness based on his era, but you could also do the opposite. Imagine how much of a monster that guy would be if he COULD focus only on basketball, and if he had all of today's nutrition and athletics specialists and coaches at his disposal lol. LeBron James enjoys a lot of modern perks that Bill Russell didn't have back in the day, and he was still jumping over people from the free throw line.

Anyway, your turn to pick, then Ichi. xD

I could've gone to Bill Laimbeer and injure Durant while bullying the others. But I want the admiral's presence on the court.

PG - James Harden
SG - Elgin Baylor
SF - Kevin Durant
PF -
C -

I chose James Harden because he has shown us this year he is an OG point guard when he wants to and plays with greats, while almost averaging a triple double.

This season he is averaging 11.2 assists per game. To put that in perspective, Jason Kidd’s best assist season is 10.8.

And Harden is pretty good as a scorer too, I guess🤷‍♂️

Good pick. I'm just glad you didn't choose the only top tier Center left, cause I really need him. xD

Since @Noyman2000 chose Hakeem Olajuwon, aka ''Little Moses'', I guess I'll get the real deal.

C: Moses Malone
PF:
SF: Dr J
SG:
PG: Oscar Robertson

I get another pick. I already have two phenomenal smaller players in Dr J and Oscar Robertson, so let's fortify the paint even more.

C: Moses Malone
PF: Kevin Garnett
SF: Dr J
SG:
PG: Oscar Robertson

@Ichimonji is up next

Damn, @Ichimonji took my guy Harden. I was gonna pick him again.

PG - Chris Paul
SG - Kawhi Leonard
SF - Scottie Pippen
PF - Charles Barkley
C - Hakeem Olajuwon

I'm happy having the 2 best perimeter defenders ever on my team. Chris Paul is basically Isiah Thomas, the modern version. :vonflame:

I think I have enough solid defenders already, so placing an elite shooter who could fire from 50 feet could be good. Was gonna go Miller but I hate guy

Wish I could have grabbed Malone, but I’m sitting pretty. Great balanced team of offense/defense with great shooting.

@Gambit I get why you did it, but too little at the guard spot. With everyone’s roster we would stay eating with IT and Curry in the backcourt.
