Polo is marine-ensign, left orphaned at a marine base and raised with wide-eyed admiration for the Navy forces, viewing them as great heroes during a time of horrible piracy. His naivety and tendency for air-headed actions may stir some doubt, though these doubts often seem to bounce off his cheerful demeanor.
Some say when Polo dawns his shark-hood he becomes possessed by the wrath of the sea--Polo does not understand this misplaced fear.
