Sea vs Mugiwara_Ryan (Non-canon)

A simple village from nowhere, a duel has been issued by Talon outside a bar for anyone who wishes to try their luck for combat. Outside the bar, the Assassin stood - dressed in black garb that would suit anyone that wants to remain anonymous. Knives and blades could be seen around the outfit, a man of dangerous appearance.

The Reaper of CP-9, Ryu-Shin, had been looking for a quiet couple of drinks, not looking to induce a headache... Yet one appeared anyway. Not in the form of a hangover, but in the form of a man. He looked to the man who had issued a challenge for a fight. He didn't look like much, but appearances can very deceiving. He himself was an example of such. Ryu let his eyes scan the room quickly. Looks like no one else will take him up on his offer. Fuck it, why not?

Ryu finished his double whiskey before standing, letting his lanky figure tower over most before sauntering over to the man, his sabre by his side. Oi! Boy, you want a challenge? Look no further. I shall be your opponent tonight.. You may make a good sparring dummy.

A challenger has come forward from the bar – a man of unknown origins. Talon would observe the towering man, dishevelled and wore red-coloured clothes, a sabre on his side. For now, the man seems likely to be someone that fights close-ranged, for he did not notice any ranged weaponry. The words from the man strike Talon, perhaps due to his height he is merely referred to as a boy. The Assassin would retrieve items from his pouch, a small notepad and a pen and merely scribbled away. Once he is done he simply turn the notepad and the words could be seen from a distance.

‘You may have the honours to start first.’

A mute perhaps? The Assassin chose a different method of communication, writing rather than talking. Talon would put away his notepad and pen, retrieving a short blade from its sheathe behind him as he wields the blade on his right – his left would simply retrieve a small knife from its holster on his chest. Talon was ready.

So, he doesn't talk.... Interesting. But he wants me to strike first.... very well. Ryu put one hand on his blade, while the other combed some hair from his eyes. He looked his opponent up and down, perhaps in a threatening way or perhaps in a respectful way. None could tell. But soon the strike came, as Ryu imbued his blade with the black coating of Armament Haki and simply spoke, Busoshoku Quick Draw!

With blinding speed, he drew his sabre and slashed at his opponent.

The man would quickly dash forward towards Talon at incredible speed, so much faster than Talon himself. One would not usually be able to see what is going on, but as they are not at point blank distance, and that the man merely run straight, it is barely enough for Talon to react. Talon would quickly throw his throwing knife towards the man’s solar plexus, aiming to force the man to either react by dodging or dealing with the incoming knife. With how fast the man is coming towards Talon and the slower man, it is more than likely to be near point-blank distance when thrown, making it less likely for the man to be able to dodge the knife.

Talon’s Throwing Knife DPR: 21-40: 2. Street Level + B: +2 (B-rank Throwing Knife) = 61-80: 4. Small Building Level

Ryu’s DPR: 61-80: 4. Small Building Level + B: +2 + CoA: +2 = 8. City Level (This is your DPR that you need to calculate, your strength + technique rank + your haki, you can follow the calculation and stuffs here)

If Ryu blocked the attack with his own: Ryu wins. DPR remaining: 8 – 4 = 61-80: 4. Small Building Level

Talon’s DPR: 21-40: 2. Street Level vs remaining DPR: 61-80: 4. Small Building Level

Result: Ryu wins. 21-40: 2. Street Level remaining

Talon’s Durability: 41-60: 3. Large Building Level vs 21-40: 2. Street Level remaining (Durability checks is +2 higher basically, following the Potency Durability level.)

Result: DPR 2 or more below dura: Not very effective OR super effective depending if you block the knife or not

With the knife thrown, Talon could only try to defend himself, prompting the Assassin to clash the blade with Ryu’s own. The attack would succeed however, as Talon’s blade broke as Ryu’s sabre would cut into the Assassin’s body as Ryu’s physical strength pushes back Talon slightly. Depending on the situation at hand, the sabre would deal large amount of damage or not so much damage. But regardless of which, Talon would quickly retaliate, quickly using the slightly more powerful strength of Ryu to quickly stabilize his foothold using his right leg, turn and drop into a quick handstand position, his legs would position together before spreading them wide, the boots would quickly emerge with knives, one on each boot as Talon aims to deliver a powerful cross-slash using his legs.
