Duel Shadows in the Dark on Fullaholes Island

Pain shot through the giant's leg with such severity and speed that all she could do in the face of it was laugh! But no sound came out. Joby's heart began to race. What had she done? She could feel the pain and sensation of movement from Kö's full body charge knocking her on her ass and dragging the broad shoulders of her back across the earth.

Her body felt like it was on fire. Her body was panicking. She couldn't tell if her eyes were open of if they were closed. As she drew in gasps of air, she could not tell if she was actually breathing. She was suffocating. As her mind's eye gazed into the darkness, she commanded her other eyes to open and, though she could not see, the image of the darkness all around her pressing itself up against the skin of her eyeballs, permeating the membranes of her cornea giving birth to the single image of a needle penetrating her pupil and the darkness plunged itself deep within her and fear bubbled up from her insides and mixed with the agony of Kö's assault until finally something had to break!!

Jobymamushi felt the savage beast atop her leave her body--though unbeknownst to either of our fighters this was not due to Kö having jumped up to pounce on her face and knock her out as he had intended, but because the 80ft tall giant, in spite of all the physical laws of nature, sunk into the abyss itself.

Within its strange depths, all of the radiant light and sensation and music that the darkness had appeared earlier to her as, was now lost. Everything around her was gone..... she could feel her sense of self slipping and her heartbeat fading....


and then, the darkness 'spoke' to her.

As Kö attempts to land his knock out punch to the place where Joby's soul head had been when he jumped, he will only paw--with great effort--silently in the darkness, swatting at ghosts. Physically he will attack the ground upon which Joby had been lying before she had vanished into the darkness within the ground a moment prior!

Resurfacing, Joby now stands directly behind the vengeful spirit of Wano! Something about her had changed however. She understood now, I'm not rubber anymore, I can't think like rubber. I have become a Woman of Darkness--how silly of me to be so afraid of the Dark.

The awareness that she was in fact one with all the darkness around her brought with it the realization that nothing within its domain should be unknowable to her. Though her senses did not return, she became acutely aware of what the darkness consumed. She could 'see' and 'hear' and 'smell' to a much greater degree than normal even without her CoO active. She immediately understood exactly where she was in physical space and all that was happening around her.

"COME ON PUP! HEEHEE!! IF YOU AREN'T AFRAID OF THE DARK AT ALL--THEN WHAT ARE YOU? HEEHEE!"

YAMI YAMI NO: "FEAR ITSELF"

Jobymamushi attempts to strike the back of Kö's head with an open palm, pushing his face violently into the ground as he fails his own previous attack!! If she succeeds in this, she will grab tightly onto the komainu's skull as all the darkness around them violently condenses and wraps itself like a snake around his face! The otherworldly tempest of black dust and flame swirled diligently and tirelessly around Kö's head--somehow managing to engulf the beast in an even deeper darkness!

But Kö would very soon discover that this experience of darkness was different than the last....

Description: Utilizing her elemental form, Joby dodges an incoming attack by entering a bizarre 'pocket dimension' hidden within the body of all Darkness and accessible only to her. She must be in contact with an area of darkness equal or greater than her own silhouette for this technique to work. She may then reappear from the same area of darkness or another of appropriate size within her range (mastery/5 meters from where A Free and Easy Sleep is activated).

Description: The following turn after successfully executing the technique "In the Realm of the Senses", if Joby's target has not left the area cast within her Darkness by the end of the previous turn--then they will be 'primed' for this technique. By striking and grabbing hold of her target's head with terrifying force, the entire area of Darkness from the Realm of the Senses condenses upon the sensory organs of her target (most commonly their entire head) enclosing them in a somehow even darker Darkness than before. Anyone not targeted by Fear Itself who had spent the previous turn within the Realm of the Senses, will have to RP being temporarily incapacitated by the rush of sensory information returning to them all at once (think Solar Flare).

If this technique succeeds, then the target's brain--growing restless from being completely cut off from physical sensory input--will begin creating its own through auditory, tactical, and visual hallucinations. If their mind is at rest and peaceful, the hallucinations will be mild and somewhat pleasant in nature. However if their mind is disturbed by pain, tension, anxiety, or adrenaline, then they must RP the hallucinations being terrifying and convincing Night Terrors brought to life from the deepest parts of their subconscious. The effects will last for 1 turn.

This technique primes a single target for another which must be performed the following turn or the darkness consuming her opponent's head will disperse slowly into dust--allowing the target to regain their senses without getting overstimulated.
Requires: 81 stamina, 81 mastery, and 81 strength.

As the holy hound stuck down upon Joby, all he found was nothingness... but it was not due to the strange shadowy realm that the giantess had placed the two in. Rather it was that there was a lack of space where upon Joby once was. SLAM! The sound of the mental effect in Ko's mind that hitting something with such force should have given off in a natural space. But in his mind's eye's he saw Joby slip away.

What in God's good name? His soul stared at the vanishing soul of the mushabi as it sunk away from his attack. Did the darkness just eat her alive!? And then Ko noticed the accursed moving through their own sort of aberration from the light of God. However, it was while his attack was landing and so he was delayed to physically track it.

I was correct. This darkness is an undeniable power that must be stopped. He turns to meet the phantasmal Joby who is now behind him. Her soul now smiling proudly at the acceptance and understanding that she now understood. A toothy smile, Ko was such though he could not see it in that regard. This pride is sin. He came to realize too late...

and keeping the haki clad on his paw, the komainu tried to raise it to block the incoming attack. However, it properties were evil and profane and were a force in itself. Something that only God was supposed to command. The spirit of wind, in fear, swiped at the approaching fist in attempt to rend it

The Burning Bush

Kö swipes with a single claw so swiftly that it leaves a burn on skin. Flammable objects may begin to combust in a proper situation.

it was not an emotion that the beast regularly felt. But from having his haki active he was able to grasp a slight gaze upon the emotions of the now demonic Joby and what he saw shook him to the core. Nothingness. Help. Was all he could think before his paw was smashed out of the way. Both parties would be injured initially, but due to the vectors of each attacks, Ko's paws would instead slash against the incoming arm of Joby only slowing down the blow before it reached the komainu's head.

The force was enough to shake his brain, even with the counter strike that he used to attempt to stop it, but in this world of darkness the only sense that became fuzzy was the vision of Joby. Then from a deprivation of sense, came a realm full of it. "YIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII" the lion-dog belted as he became frazzled...

Jobymamushi's attack seemed to be cut short as Kö managed just in time to rip into the Giant's forearm!! The sheer force of the pain response hitting her nervous system caused her whole world to light up! It felt like her arm was on fire! Unable to completely execute her intended technique, her attempt to focus the surrounding area of Darkness around the Beast's head was cut short as the pain caused her focus to break and the bleak nothingness suspended all around them, scattered into the breeze, once more revealing the world of light to the Komainu.

Joby jumped back quickly to put some distance between her and the pup, skidding back across the dirt and detritus of the decimated town.
She glanced down at her forearm, the wound was still there. Haki huh? The red flesh and skin was blistered and swollen--the top layers completely dead from the sheer heat of friction from the beast attack... Joby could feel clear fluid rush to the burn and leak into the pockets created by the blistering dermis. It wouldn't take much for something to slough it right off--even Jobymamushi knew having half an arm's worth of exposed flesh was a really great way to die of infection--and she had no intention of cutting off anymore of her extremities.

"Oi! Kö! That fucking hurt! YAHAHAHAH!!"

Ko had been smashed to the floor. And though his head rang in pain and his eyes blurred the darkness that was now fading prevented him from really noticing that. His haki beginning to fade. And while the light now rose back from the abyss of the giant's last strike, Ko blacked out for a time.

The giantess had leaped back to comment and avoid another strike, Ko's mind flashed with a white light. Lord? Is that you? Is it my time? The light amplified as if to send some sort of message. Whatever it was, Ko couldn't understand. Forgive me, father. I've failed and unleashed a terrible burden on this world, haven't I?

The body of the beast opened its eyes. Blood was ensnaring within the curls of fur from the top of the komainu's head which as been partially crushed. "Hmm hmm" Ko whined, scraping at the ground to find himself back on his feet. In his mind, the pilgrim was still in God's graceful clouds. His body, suffering severe brain damage noticed the presence of the giant who had just yelled angrily at him.

As a display of surrender the animal lay down and rolled onto it's back hoping that this would show Joby that it was not a threat...
