Tequila Wolf
Tequila Wolf is a construction site for a massive bridge located in the East Blue. The bridge has been under construction for the past 700 years, at the behest of the World Nobles. This monumental project is being carried out by various slaves, who are either criminals or individuals from countries that are not allied with the World Government. However, a slave rebellion led by Devil Dias has erupted after replacement slaves, purchased from the Sabaody Archipelago, successfully overthrew and killed their cruel overseers.

The infamous La Spada came like a thief in the night and eradicated the Marine force leaders, flipping the switch. The Marines became the slaves. After the Vampirates gained the territory, this reality persisted.

Notable Locations
  • Marine Base
  • Rebel Camp
  • Active Working Area

Note: Tequila Wolf is currently a territory of the Silver Vampirates.

Rebel Base
The Rebel Base is housed on a west portion of the bridge, near its uncompleted edge. It was a strategic location taken by Devi Dias. While the rebels are trapped, there can be no supplies easily given to the Marine forces. It also serves as a way to flee by calling out any incoming ships. The Rebel Base is made up of cement and wood, quickly strewn by the rebels. A stockpile of gunpowder exists in the center. The barricade, made up of wooden sticks and cannons, keeps the Marines at bay.
  • Rebel Base
  • Gunpowder Stockpile
  • Barricade of Liberty

Current Story
La Spada single-handedly invaded Tequila Wolf. The Grim eradicated the Marine forces, forcing the slave forces to become her slaves. The humongous bridge of Tequila Wolf was transformed to a site for trafficking of weapons in the Blues. The Spada Pirates uses the bridge to transport weapons to the highest bidder to the various islands in the Blues. Later, in a historic trade, the Spada Pirates ceded Tequila Wolf to the Silver Vampirates in exchange for other islands.

Dais now serves as the slave overseer. Under new management of the Vampirates, half of the rebel forces, led by Lacuba, still await their savior, engaging in guerrilla warfare to try to escape.

Marine Base (destroyed)
The Marine Base is situated on the inside of the bridge, across from the Rebel Base who hold the uncompleted portion of the bridge. The Marine base is surrounded by cannons and a lattice of walls that keeps the slaves at bay. Its unique structure allows the cannon fire to rain from above, keeping the hotly contested middle-ground lit in fire. The Marines have a descending carriage they use to lower boats for supplies. However, supplies are running low. Winter is fast approaching.

The ocean air was always so cold this time of year, the enormous man thought to himself as he stared out at the horizon over the edge of their ‘country’.

A group of rebel soldiers approached the man from behind.

“Dias! The ship bringing provisions to the marine forces last night was successfully intercepted!” Announced the senior most tactician, Lacuba.

Devil Dias scowled as he turned to face his men, “Good, perhaps soon we may finally begin to witness the tides turn in our favor in this impossible war.”

The sun rose and the massive concrete leviathan, upon which their lives rested in the hands of fate, lit up under the divine light. Their very own bridge of the heavens... to nowhere.

Would this conflict be decided in their lifetimes? Who would come out on top?

This, is Tequila Wolf.

News arrive to the newly enlisted Lieutenant of the 169th Branch, Bengal, that a rebel group had taken control of Tequila Wolf and that a stalemate has been going on for quite some time. Bengal rejoiced. His hunt for rebels as a marine was about to start.

-“You are Bengal from the 169th Branch? Wow, just as the rumors said you are huge and a Mink at that”-said playfully the marine in charge Commodore Daigin

-“Let’s cut the chit-chat Daigin-san, I heard that a week ago a ship with provisions was intercepted by the rebels, is that correct?”- asked Bengal annoyed

-“Man, I guess the rumors are true about you personality are true too , you are not fun, yes that is correct, why do you ask?”-

-“That is how we will get into enemy lines, will let them think we are a provisions shipment and let our self be capture. Let everything to me and my crew, we start the plan tomorrow, we will crush those lowly rebels once and for all!!” –

Both rebels and marines could not imagine what was about to unfold in the tense cold of Tequila Wolf.

It's not hard to notice how the weather gradually changes as you travel in east blue. That too in a small briskly marine ship. However, this was especially a firm ship, chosen by the Captain Trap to bear the incoming coldness. The wooden walls were polished and even at night, one could hear soldiers dancing and singing; trying their best to entertain their worried captain.

Arcana opened her eyes in a sluggish manner. Though she was in a warm, cosy room; the marine song was clearly audible.

"Gather for the final Dance!" The soldier found Arcana's tiny room and knocked on her door, calling her for last performance. He won't know how he vexed this teenage girl. He continued walking in the corridor. "Gather for final---Sir, what happened?"

Arcana hurriedly got inside her homely blanket. "Who will attend this stupid---"
Some loud footsteps arrived. The door was cracked open, not letting Arcana mutter any dishonouring words towards Captain Trap.
Lieutenant Minchey peeked inside.

"No more performances, we have almost arrived at our destination," Minchey answered the soldier standing behind his back.
The young marine stepped inside. He ordered the soldier to leave. Minchey's cunning eyes moved around the small unlit room. "Get ready, kid," Minchey advised the young soldier he hired personally. But the girl was already out of her blanket now.

She glared at her master. If she knew his master could be so discourteousness, she would have never accepted his invitation.

"Leave my room," Arcana murmured, loud and regal enough to shudder Minchey. "I am coming." She quickly added not to sound over-aggressive.

The lieutenant had left. Arcana stayed in the bed with her glaive, and a dim light but sufficient for her. Complete silence in the ship. She stroked her hair as she sensed trouble, in Tequila wolf.
The cold breeze entered her room through the window, thrilling her.

The war for Tequila Wolf had been waged in a rather linear fashion. With the Rebel Army having established their base on the Western Flank, maintained full control over land routes for the restocking of weaponry; the Marine Forces hunkered down in the East, controlling most of the ports which gave greater access to a wider variety of resources but placed them at increased risk of violent interference from Rebel Ships and cannons.

With forces almost perfectly matched, what this battle required now, was cunning and skillful tactics.

Commodore Daigin sat behind his desk, grimacing sternly. He kicked a foot up onto the top of the desk and rocked back a bit in his chair as he addressed his subordinates bluntly.

"The way I see it, we have a few options, a full frontal assault has proved rather fruitless to this point after all. We control the ports which all lie to the east of the front lines, squarely in our territory. However the presence of anti-naval cannons that the rebels have manufactured and imported from allies in the countries to the west, line the outer flanks of their territory. These heavy artillery cannons and the presence of Rebel warships keep us Marines from maintaining total supremacy over the regions oceans. On average, the Rebels manage to take out 1 in 3 of our ships. I need not mention to you all that this is simply UNACCEPTABLE!!!!"

The Commodore was now getting a little red in the face and for fear of exasperating his weakened left arterial valve (which ran in the family on his father's side) he decided to sit up in his chair and take a deep breath.

Regaining composure, he began again: "First order of business is to take out those cannons. I've just received word from our undercover shipment team, that they have successfully been taken captive by Rebel forces with minimal casualties inflicted on either side. A few of our men have been disguised as workers, and from what we can assume from previous intel we have gathered, they will be processed by Rebel forces and kept in a civilian holding cell pending further investigation of their motives and affiliations.

"If they can successfully convince their captors of their hatred for the world government and their loyalty to the rebellion, we can safely assume they will be integrated into the civilian workforce with ample opportunity to scout, and most importantly--make contact with our Marine Spy who has hidden explosives to be planted at each of the 6 heavy artillery cannons in their possession."

Captain Moore sneezed rather pointedly and the Commodore paused, knowing full well what the 'involuntary' gesture had implied. Daigin scowled silently as he waited for whatever the hell it was old crabhead had to illuminate for him.
"Commodore," began the Captain as he scratched at his bulbous nose rather vigorously, "why can't this spy of ours just blow the damned things up himself?"

"Well Captain, if you'd stop scratching your god damned nose for half a damned minute, maybe you coulda just assumed that though SHE is a deep cover agent who has brought herself under close scrutiny by the rebel higher ups as of late.... it is too risky for her to make a move alone. Satisfied?"

Commodore Daigin stood up and began walking towards the door. "Now listen up, nothing gets done until those cannons are gone, but what we do alongside that is a little up for discussion. Once the seas are fully within our grasp, we will have no problem sneaking ships of troops behind enemy lines and catch their forces in a pincer formation--a military victory is almost guaranteed in such a scenario. We could also consider, depending on what information our new undercover operatives gather, a more calculated strike which would simply aim to send a handful of skilled soldiers behind enemy lines to meet up with and bring down the top brass of the rebellion in a calculated strike. The strength of their top operatives is still an unknown to us, so its risky, but if they can be taken out in such a way without getting caught before, it would certainly save a great number of lives on both sides.... I'd like you all to think on these courses of action as well as others that we have not thought of yet! We must make haste!" Daigin opened his door and motioned for the others to leave. The accommodations at Tequila Wolf were all grey and drab, leaving much to be desired in the way of fengshui... their base really never let you forget that it was actually just an abandoned and neglected construction site.

Running in through the door Daigin was holding open (intending for bodies to be leaving his office, not continuing to further overpopulate it) Lieutenant Minchey turned around and saluted at attention. "Commodore, sir! We have just received word that our second ship has made it through to the Eastern Ports safely without incident or damage from the rebel cannons! The troops will be briefed accordingly on the situation!"

Daigin smiled very masculinely, "Alright have them sent here for a briefing afterwards so we can touch base about moving forward. Now everyone get the hell out of my office."

Arcana felt the last night; it was freezing here in Tequila Wolf. Now that the weather isn't so intense in the morning Arcana decided to wait for the messenger a little longer. She was wearing a leather jacket and warm trousers. "I am not liking this place...at all," The girl murmured as if she could feel the misery of slaves in the air. Well, it is a fact that she was once an elite slave herself, used by pirates to kill enemy pirates for one whole year. Yesterday night, Arcana was sent to another smaller ship and strayed east while Minchey went to the Marine Base(II) with Captain Trap. The lieutenant ordered Arcana to wait for further information once she reached there. Thus, she could not sleep to her heart's content. The coldest wind kept blowing in the eastern port. Was it because it was near the abandoned construction site? Were the hopes shattered or accumulated here? How could the Marine answer this discordant question? Arcana was struggling to open her eyes in this harsh weather. But when she could see the marine messenger approaching, her body tickled pink.

THE MISSION (1)
Arcana dusted off the snow from the silver-colored letter. "You are not needed to send any reply to the marine base as of now." The short pulpy messenger informed the girl. "Is he leaving Tequila Wolf or what?" Arcana questioned in a soft low voice.
"It is Tekeela...not Tekila...girl know where you at."
"Tekila." Arcana whispered.
"I give up. Your lieutenant Minchay wants you to give results no matter what." He added as the two marines stood under a shelter. Arcana nodded, wearing her blue scarf wrapped around the neck. Even the messenger found this charming girl to be lost somewhere. "I am leaving now," The marine said as he started to walk away. The girl looked around to find no one nearby in this deserted port. She removed her gloves and broke the seal. Gently she pulled the message out. Her wavy black hair rolled over when she found a mini-map in it. Her dark brown eyes kept reading. It was a long message with lots of uncanny information.

It started to snow in some time, Arcana only noticed it after finishing her read. She swiftly kept the letter inside her jacket and marched towards the west, thinking about the miserable lives of slaves.

In a dark prison of the Rebel Base 3, Bengal and his crew where hold prisoners of the rebels. They had successfully been captured and because of their appearance as normal workers and slaves the rebels wanted to question them a little bit more, their forces could welcome more soldiers or even recruit a possible double spy within the Marines forces. Little did they know that the prisoners they just capture where highly trained marine soldiers lead by a rebel’s blood thirsty lieutenant.

-"We are finally inside, let’s review the plan: from here onward we will try to convince the rebels that we are on their side. Our mission will break down in 4 phases…”_ whispered Bengal -“ First get the trust of the rebels, second contact the spy within their forces she will make de first contact, third Verify and confirm the strength of the rebel forces , fourth and last step Blow up the 6 heavy artillery cannons and join the marines in battle.”_

- “Yes sir!” _ said a little to laud one of Bengal’s subordinates while one of the rebel soldiers hear him but ignored the gesture.

- “Quiet!” _ Bengal still whispering but a little loudly the Soldier 1 on guard started having suspicions but still didn’t think much of the prisoners’ conversation as he couldn’t hear much of it from afar

Bengal continued whispering – “Our information tells us that our contact is stationed on Rebel Base 2, we need to find a way to get transferred” _ As the Soldier 1 on guard started hearing to much whispering decided to verify and question the prisoners.

-“What you guys are talking about over there!?”_ Screamed the Soldier 1, Bengal in his crew got nervous as the soldier 1 walked towards them. As the soldier got closer and closer, they could hear the keys and their hearts couldn’t take it…

-“clink clink clink”_ -“Are we this bad at infiltration? We will be executed right? we are dead for sure!!” “We will die in this dark cold basement!” _ Bengal and his crew thought.

The crew was a complete nerve wreck at this point, luckily for them the Soldier 1 didn’t heard nothing of importance and at that exactly at that moment another soldier came with orders. –“ Your replacement will arrive soon, you are to escort the “shipment” back to Base 2” _ Said Soldier 2 –“ Oh and make sure to visit the infirmary too, you got hurt in the last battle, get check so you don’t get an infection”_

As the soldiers left, the crew calmed down. -“Seems he didn’t hear anything”_ one of the marine soldiers whispered and continued –“Bengal-san, why are you smiling”_

-“ I know now how we will get transferred to Base 2”_ Bengal said while smirking “We need to get hurt or sick so we get taken to the infirmary, no matter how suspicious they are of us, this Rebels will not let us die, just yet, the question is how?” _

The rebels are no aware yet on the great shift of powers that will occur in the following days. The Marines were about to crush their dreams and nightmares alike. Blood would be spilled in the cold snow of Tequila Wolf.

Spada Pirates | Become Death - #1

The once tranquil sea shook in place, as if it was trembling. Parting the waters was an ominous seemingly lifeless ship, sailing amisdt the cold fog that hung to life around the vessel. Sails torn, decaying wood, Creaking mast, cannons rusted, and a giant Scythe in the bow called home to the Styx. An symbol of terror emblazoned on the ceow’s nest; La Spada Pirates.

Cold, calculating, and decisive, the Styx approached Tequila Wolf. The air surrounding the bridge would cool, whether brought from the Underworld or the land’s reaction to its future, one could not say.

The deck was devoid of life, all but two. A large shadow of a man in a western hat and a small pink haired girl bore the navigation. A wail signified the ship moaning, as if it had life, or death. Soon upon Tequila Wolf.

[Sour] “Oh! Oh! Sour heard about this one! Centuries ooooooold! Sour heard from a tattletale rebels have formed! Which side will she join?”
[Zalera] “Whose side? Zalehaha. That which only matters... Her own.”

The camera shifted to the bow of the ship. The giant scythe glowed green, an ominous chill cast. Standing on top of wheee blade began was merely a black cloak. Though the wind blew, the cloak stood still, almost dead.

From the open head portion of the cloak, only four things stood out. Red ruby lips Biting a cigar, a scar running diagonally from the nose, yellow slit-eyes, and long luscious black hair. La Spada.

[Sour] “It’s been waaaaaaayyyy to long since her last. Sour was beginning to think you and I were next! I’m too young, ya’ know! Sour is seeking to be put out of misery, but through that?! Nu-uh!”
[Zalera] “Verily. Time has struck for Her next. She who has become. Become Death.”

Those words were the last uttered. Tequila Wolf was in the distance. The cloak fell past the blade into the ocean. No splash. The shadow walked upon the water, ice being formed beneath her, glowing green. A trail of smoke followed her, ever approaching the bridge of Tequila Wolf, to the center of the battleground.

Tequila Wolf - a site that was home to a bridge so massive, centuries were needed to complete it. 700 years ago, the building of the bridge began, and to this day, it continues. The World Nobles used slaves for the labor, but the endless work hours, harsh beatings, little food to fuel the body, and the relentless cold of the perpetual winter became too much to cope with. A rebellion arose. "Devil" Dias and his charisma started it all, "Devious Tactician" Lacuba kept it going with his ingenious tactics, and the courageous Byron filled the hearts of the rebels with confidence. "Nurse" Marie had her hands full every day tending to wounds, but the fight was a worthy one, to make sure soft and innocent souls like Miss Pascia and the little lady, Soran, could eventually have and live a better life.

However, the World Nobles would not so easily let go of their slaves. Marines were sent to quell the rebellion, resulting in a standoff. The bridge was so long one could not even measure it, but even the width of it was that of a couple of football fields. The large open area atop the bridge left the rebels without hiding places in the face of Marine cannonfire, preventing the rebels from advancing. The Marines could not advance either, waiting for reinforcements.

Today, was yet another day of futile attempts. A couple of the rebels tried to mount a quick attack, but were shot down by cannonfire. Both the rebels and the Marines thought this struggle would never end. Little did they know, the bone chilling wind that came on this day, was a signal of a tiebreaker. The Death was coming.

Map for anyone reading:

1. Marine camp
2. Slave rebels camp
3. Large open area, ''Battlefield''
4. Marines
5. Slave rebels
6. Marine blockade, equipped with cannons

Become Death | Choosing Prey - #2

The battlefield had gone dry as the standoff continued. The large area of the bridge where cannon fire rained down made advance impossible for the rebels. Until a cold chill swept the bridge; a chill most unpleasant. The Chill of the Underworld.

A light “tack” echoed. A figure in a black cloak had fearlessly landed on the middle of the bridge. A flame crakcled at the end of the figure’s finger, brought to it’s face area, gently lighting a cigar. A puff of smoke trailed the figure as she took her first step. The decision.

The figure took a step towards the Marine camp, fearlessly walking past the dividing point. The figure approached the blockade with intent to kill.

Suddenly, the loud sound of a violin took the airways. First it came as a whisper as the figure approached, and soon to be loud and clear. A violent song of chords in succession. Those who manned the cannons would be the first to hear. For those who heard it, fear would grip their hearts, made to quicken the pace of the heart and quell the soul.

The footsteps of the cloak began quickening. Movement seen inside the cloak of a sword used as a violin through strings, and the perilous tempo giving death a theme.

Friend or Foe? Life... or Death?

The Seas became rougher, as if aware of what was coming. The day was coming toward the end, and dusk was upon the bridge. The Chill of the Underworld swept past the bridge. A cloaked, shadowy figure landed right in the middle of the bridge. The wide open part of the bridge, where none could advance, due to cannonfire and lack of hiding space. And yet, this figure landed there with confidence. Eerie violin music started to play, the chilly winds carrying each and every note straight to the ears of the men manning the cannons. The chill travelled right down their spines, bringing the cold straight to the bones. The sounds of the violin hastened their actions, unprepared.

W-what is that thing...

One of the Marines questioned with fear in his heart, another proclaiming something none of them wanted to hear.

I-it... looks like d-death...!

The man said, putting into words what all of them instinctually felt deep down. In fear, they fired. Cannonballs rained down onto the middle of the bridge. Due to the size of the bridge, the large explosions would be like little sparks. But to the cloaked, shadowy figure, the cannonballs definitely presented an attack worthy of notice.

Further back in the Marine camp, the rugged-faced Commodore Daigin heard the cannonfire.

What's happening?! This is earlier than they normally make a move!

Commodore Daigin said, but his question fell on deaf ears. The ones manning the cannons were absolutely enchanted by the fear, and their instinct for survival had left them far too deep to take notice of their surroundings, or hear the words of their leader.

On the opposite side, the rebels were resting in their camp. When cannonfire was heard, "Devious Tactician" Lacuba immediately sprung onto his feet.

What the hell is happening?! No one was given permission to mount an attack yet!

He said. As the tactician of the rebel forces, Lacuba would be aware of any attack they would mount. The little lady, Soran, was at the edge of the camp, looking at the battlefield inbetween the two camps. She saw the cloaked, shadowy figure. Pointing toward the figure, Soran spoke, her words directed to Lacuba.

Lacuba-san, someone is walking on the bridge!

Soran said, much to Lacuba's surprise.

Ngh?! What?!

Lacuba said, walking up toward the edge of the camp to take a look.

Become Death: Forfeiting Souls - #3

The night blanketed the cry of the waning souls. The ominous music in crecenzo a chorus for the night’s dark embrace. The rat-tat-tat of the figure’s boney feet echoed through the dark ominous music, almost as if knocking. As if Death knocked on the door.

Cannons were fired in a nervous response, cannonballs aimed to erupt the bridge. Those cannonballs approaching the dark figure would explode prematurely, as if detonated by an invisible force. Airblasts, or Abade Coup Droit, draped in the darkness of the night, rendered them anon.

From the smoke, the unrelenting footsteps came. From the smoke, bright yellow eyes glowed, and white teeth gave birth to a sadistic grin, almost as a background to the music in crecenso.

[La Spada] “Kuhahahahahahaha....”

A voice most dark and bile, most wicked. The voice trailed off, and the shadow of death disappeared, suddenly, in front of the first manned cannon, on top of the wall, and mere inches from the first Marine soldier, she appeared.

Looking down on the Marine, two pulsating yellow-slit Eyes stared deep into the man’s soul. He stood in front of his death. The killing intent aimed not to take his life, but his soul. Will materialized in music that would paralyze even the truth.

The music that accompanied her changed. It was a violin striking like a piano, slow and deliberate. Soundwaves came from beneath the figure’s cloak, spreading 15 meters around her. For the prey in front of her, paralyzed by her intent, he’d theoretically feel his insides churning, shattering upon the sound waves. Blood from his eyes, ears, and mouth.

The Empress leaned forward as the music rose. A few centimeters from the man’s face. The glowing eyes illuminated the figure’s face: bone amidst rotting skin around the lips and eyes. Bones chilled by death.

[La Spada] “Deliver your sooooooouuuuul....”

The music paved way for a solo. An inhale that glowed green. A breath that emanated from those rotting lips to the marine’s own. An inhale of death. The man would feel his insides, once breaking, now slowly freezing. The blood that was coming out his eyes, ears, and mouth, frozen in place.

The Marine, if enchanted, would fall back, lifeless. His eyes, his facial expression, his very body in riger mortis; frozen from the inside. To the Marines who bore witness in the base, it could have only been one thing: the taking of a soul.

The cloaked figure stood upright, the slivers of her cloak glowing green, as if the Marine’s soul ran through her. Suddenly, the cracking of bones came through the music. The figure turned to the Marines, her threatening yellow eyes glowing more than ever, and that grin demanding more. More sacrifice. Death demanded more souls.

Become Death.

Cannonfire was made to blanket the cloaked death in fiery explosions. However, before the cannonballs could reach her, they erupted, blanketing the area in front of her instead. None present were fast enough to see her movements, and so it looked like she made the cannonballs explore prematurely with but her mind. Either that, or all of the cannonballs were defective - unlikely. With a few steps and then a quick burst, she appeared atop the blockade that had been giving the slave rebels problems for months now. In a crouched positioned, she stared into the soul of a Marine in front of her. And then it happened. The music changed to a tune more aggressive and damning, and what could only be described as the taking of a soul took place in front of the other Marines. Absolutely terrified of what was happening in front of them, the Marines, as the lifeless one's body fell with a thud, all reacted in different ways. Their bare emotions surfaced in fear, there was no strategy about their decisions. Some started to fire at the cloaked one, some charged her with their swords in a ''just kill me and get it over with'' manner, while others ran for their lives, jumping or climbing off of the blockade and making a run for the Marine camp.

Commodore Daigin, who was in the Marine camp a few dozen meters behind the blockade, was now out and about, looking up at the blockade and seeing the cloaked one. He also saw some of his subordinates mounting what could only be seen as a suicide attack, while others ran.

C-c-call that woman!

If she'll ever help us out it'll be now!

Commodore Daigin said, mentioning a woman.

In the meantime, in the slave rebels' camp, "Devious Tactician" Lacuba saw the cloaked death in action. Many scenarios ran through his genius mind. Should they attack the Marins now, and hope the cloaked one was on their side? Or did the cloaked one come to kill indiscriminately? Should they use the cloaked on as a decoy, and get off of the bridge and make a run for the Sea? That was something "Devious Tactician" Lacuba had been setting up for a few weeks now as a potential possibility, so they had a means to get off of the bridge. He called for his fellow slave rebels.

Everyone, get over here!

A calamity descended upon the bridge and is killing the Marines! We don't know if the calamity is on our side, or on no one's side! It's time! We will escape from this bridge and make a run for the free Sea. TO FREEDOM!

He announced. Even though he was not the charismatic leader of the group, he was the brain, and so everyone, including the slave rebels' leader, "Devil" Dias, and their heart, Byron, listened. Under the cover of their own little blockade, as well as hoping that the cloaked one was distracted with the Marines, they started to make use of a couple of new contraptions that allowed them to lower boats into the waters. It would take a few minutes, but if they managed to get it done on time, they could just make it.

A battle against time. And Death.

Become Death: Escape Forfeit - #4

The marine stolen in riger mortis fell back. Mayhem followed. The Marines went into disarray in the face of The Grim. Into madness some went, charging and firing on all cylinders. The music subsided, almost as the calm before the storm. Only the Grim’s manic chuckling echoed.

Bullets dug into the cloak, passing by and continuing on the other side. The ones who just barely hit the small target of bones inside, fell on the floor, clad in ice. Beneath the cloak, a bright ominous green glowed. The bulk of soldiers who charged found the Grim unearthed her a led hand.

La Spada brought her boney hand out of the cloak, unsheathed sword in hand, glowing green. From it emitted a the Chill of the Underworld, going by the oncoming soldiers. A wave passed by them, theoretically freezing them in place. The Chill, and its fear-mongering, pulsated through their souls.

La Spada had then walked past the frozen marines. inside the ice, their eyes would follow. The Grim calmly walked towards the command center. three steps past the marines, the Grim stopped. Beneath her cloak, a clicking sound echoed. Suddenly, delayed slashes took over the would-be frozen marines. The Grim aimed to shatter the frozen marines.

To any spectators, they would only view diminutive pieces of flesh in ice scattered all over the base. There was nothing. Nothing left.

[La Spada] “Hanauta Sancho: Yahazu Giri....”

The Grim walked directly towards the Command Center, music once again rising. Her goal was clear: Banishment.

Back in the rebels camp, they scurried. Makeshift boats were beginning to lower. Suddenly, in the thick fog, a large ship appeared, anchor right next to the bridge at the rebel’s side. That gigantic scythe and the boney pirate flag communicated the message.

Cannons engaged, firing cannonballs at the ships lowered, theoretically blowing theme before they touched sea. Through the darkness, the rebels could the the ones manning the cannons; demons. A small row ship flanked the other side, with a small girl manning the rows.

Looking down from the bow was that Human man in a Western hat: Zalera. The connection was clear: he too had glowing eyes, these red. He looked towards the Rebels. The man shook his head. One Motion. One message: Escape Forfeit.

Hanauta Sancho: Yahazu Giri ("Three-Verse Humming: Arrow-Notch Slash"):
The user slashes an opponent at such a fast pace that it appears that they did not attack at all. Only when a certain amount of time has passed, which is approximate to the time the user walks ten feet away, or three meters (verses, as the name suggests), does their opponent realize the attack. It is usually at this point that the victims start manifesting and feeling the effects of this high-speed attack. The technique is highly versatile, since with it, the user can slash multiple targets at once. (41 Mastery, 41 Strength and 41 Movement Speed)

The arrival of the Cloaked Death terrorized the Marines. First, from their perspective, a fellow's soul was taken. The Marines charged with swords and fired their firearms. Some of the bullets ripped into the cloak and shot out through the other side, as if there was no one inside the cloak. Other bullets, however, confirmed the presence of someone inside the cloak, but only white bones showed, and the bullets fell to the ground frozen. The ones who charged with their swords found themselves dealt with almost instantly. The Chill of the Underworld swept past them, and they were all frozen. They were still alive, their eyes barely able to follow the Cloaked one as she moved past them. And then they shattered. Shattered body parts encased in ice fell to the ground, giving the entire scene a look of sheer madness. But the Cloaked one was not done. Jumping off of the blockade, she would land back on the bridge and then slowly walk toward the Marine camp. Commodore Daigin, seeing the Cloaked one approaching, took a stand just outside of the Marine camp.

STOP RIGHT THERE. BEFORE YOU STANDS A MARINE COMMODORE. IDENTIFY YOURSELF!

Commodore Daigin said, drawing his sword.

In the meantime, the rebel slaves started lowering a couple of boats from the bridge. They saw an opportunity here, an opportunity to make a run for it. Get off the bridge and set sail for the wide open Sea. As the boats were in the air, being lowered from the bridge, they suddenly found themselves underfire. An explosion occurred at the boats in the air, causing them to rock, and the ropes to snap. The boats went plummeting into the Sea.

W-WHAT THE HELL?!

One of the rebel slaves said, another shouting.

HANG ON TIGHT!

He said as the boats came crashing into the Sea. As the waves from the crashlanding calmed down, the rebel slaves were seen in the water. Some of the lucky ones were still on a boat, though half destroyed and in the process of sinking. But at least they had wood to stand on. Others, less lucky, were holding onto pieces of wood, in the water. Others, less lucky yet, were in the water without anything to hold onto or step onto, at the mercy of their own ability to swim. The rebel slaves found themselves in the face of a towering ships that belonged to the Cloaked one.

EVERYONE SPREAD OUT AND GET CLOSE TO THEIR SHIPS!

"Devious Tactician" Lacuba said, well-aware that staying together would make them an easy target, and that getting close to the ships would prevent them from getting fired at, due to the angles. With both the Marine camp on the bridge, and the slave rebels in the Sea under attack, the situation was ''Grim'' to be sure.

Become Death: Escape Forfeit - #5

Darkness consumed the Marines, with the numbers of those felled rising. Into pieces, mayhem took over. The Grim approached the Command Center, and from within, came forth a burly man; an officer of Marines by his cloak.

The Grim did not halt. The Grim did not respond. The Grim only grew closer, now mere meters from the Marine. Instead, a sheathing sound echoed. From her left hip, a sword with black markings was sheathed; Saijo O Wazamono Shodai Kitetsu. Strings from it’s pommel to the tip showed it doubled as a violin, the source of the grim chorus before. The sword had an aura of it’s own, to swallow the world whole. A fitting blade for The Grim.

A green light caused a mist to rise around The Grim, hiding everything but those piercing eyes. The movement came quick, instant. The mist flashed like dancing lights in the dark ominous night. Stabbing the air in the cloak of mist, ejected from the blade were green pockets of air, acting as high-speed bullets that aimed to riddle the Commodore.

[La Spada] “Soul Solid: Polka Remise!”

The bullets aimed for his wrists, elbows, shoulders, knees, ankles, hip flexors, and one towards the spine. All intentionally to miss vital spots. All intending to handicap, not kill. Behind the Commodore, a wall of ice formed, birthed by those pockets of soul that continued on should they land. If successful, the man would be quite literally pinned to the slab of ice, his wounds covered by icicles of ice hammered into the wall of ice.

The Grim was not seeking his life, but his soul. Souls tasted better when all hope is lost, when suffering envelops the heart.
[Demons] “Don’t let them escape!”

The thirty or so fodder demons back at the ship shouted in unison. They fired bullets towards the water, some missing, some not. It was a great tactic to hug the ship; the cannon fire stopped. Instead, it began to focus on the bridge’s edge, to ensure no more ships would be lowered.

The lone man, Zalera, now walked to the end of the ship. Introductions were at hand. (I’ll post his NPC stats next turn).

Polka Remise: The user delivers several thrusts against an opponent. Visually, due to the user's speed, it looks as if they are thrusting with several swords.(51 Mastery, 41 Strength)

Commodore Daigin roared toward the Cloaked one, whether out of bravery or despair, but he roared nonetheless. And yet, the Cloaked death did not stop. With every step, her boney feet made noise against the concrete of the never-ending bridge that spanned further than anyone thought was possible to build. A structure of unknown importance, but given its size and scale, it was undoubtedly of great importance. A calamity descended upon it on this day, and Commodore Daigin knew he had to defend it. He had drawn his sword, but he was late - and slow. The Cloaked one unleashed a barrage of stabs. Each stabbing motion unleashed a small pocket of air that shot through a part of Commodore Daigin's body and then exploded into a piece of ice behind him. In one single repeated attack, Commodore Daigin found multiple parts of his body pierced and then stabbed onto a wall of ice behind him. Blood dripped from his mouth as he grit his teeth.

You monster. Get out... OF HERE!

He roared, pulling his sword-wielding hand off of the icy wall, letting the spike that bound him to the wall mangle his hand. He swung his sword downward, imbuing it with Busou-shoku no Haki. A desperate swing, but he hoped he would catch the Cloaked one off-guard. The Commodore was not as strong as the Cloaked one, but he definitely showed grit in that swing.

In the meantime, the rebel slaves found themselves in the water, literally. Their descending boats had been blown up, and they all came crashing into the water. "Devious Tactician" Lacuba urged everyone to swim to the enemy ships, so that they could hide from their cannons. The cannons instead directed upward at the bridge, showing that "Devious Tactician" Lacuba's plan was working. However, they were not out of the water by any means. The water was cold, and they would freeze to death. A man walked to the end of the ship, likely a Commander or leader of some sort. "Devious Tactician" Lacuba saw him and spoke.

WE ARE NOT YOUR ENEMIES. WE ARE BUT SLAVES. LET US BOARD YOUR SHIP.

"Devious Tactician" Lacuba said, hoping to invoke some sympathy. Little did he know, he was dealing with Demons.
