Medusa let out a deep, rumbling growl as Kallavan responded to her. She withheld her words as she anticipated her next move, instead focusing on building up a stronger barrier of toxia around her body, glowing like a faint green light. Progressively it grew stronger, glowing brighter as Kallavan spoke and seemed to ignite with energy. He seemed like a small sun, illuminating large parts of the room.

Then the marine rushed forwards at near blinding speeds, yet in her form Medusa's senses and speed were enhanced beyond reason for someone so large. And so it was that she let out a roar that spread throughout the entire castle, bearing mouth agape and throwing her entire body down towards Kallavan from above. Even as she did, the glow that enveloped her body grew in intensity and spread out into the air itself, leaking toxia up to two meters away from her body.

Her entire body blinked to dark by her haki, Medusa performed a three pronged counter attack as Kallavan landed, engulfed in what seemed like lightning. Teeth and claws came together to clash against the Vice Admiral's kick just before the impact, though she would still feel the force and be pushed backwards. Yet the true danger was that the air around her was filled with some of the most potent toxia she was able to produce, breathing in or touching the fumes could prove dangerous for her foe.

I didn't even notice that toxia also gives paralysis lmao. Toxia is so confusing lol
This technique grants status damage to attacks, giving the opponents poison and paralysis.

Here, lets do a bit of an ultimate move for her:
101-119: 4. City Block Level +5(S+) +3(haki) = 12. Large Continent Level (same level)
Major poison: moderate amount of damage each turn and resets if they are hit by anything that can mid poison or above up to a max of 3 times (B rank). lasts for 5-6 turns. Requires at least 71 mastery
Major paralysis: affected moves much slower and can't use the same techniques till 3 turns after using it. lasts for 3-6 turns. Requires at least 71 mastery

100 mastery: 2m ranged toxia, 6/10 turn dragon at night
At 5/6 turns btw

Kallavan's drop kick clashed with Medusa's attack, causing haki and power to erupt all around them. The force was still more than enough to force Medusa back, despite its power being reduced drastically. The true crux of her plan was the toxia that radiated all around her which Kallavan had no opportunity to dodge. Such was the nature of his last attack, it was very potent but incredibly straightforward. With such extreme acceleration, there was a significant risk of being countered. Which the marine experienced at this very moment.

After the drop kick, Kallavan hit the ground and out of instinct immediately retreated. But by that point, he was far too late. The red vapour surrounding him faded nearly instantly as his hair returned to its regular shape. Forced to take a knee, Kallavan was starting to draw for breath. Being a physical fighter, poison was and would always be a weakness.

"Damn it. Guess I hadn't learned my lesson the last time."

The marine said, cursing his foolishness for trying to win without going all out. It'd seem this world still had challenges beyond the Yonkous. On his knees, Kallavan suddenly started to change shape in a way not too dissimilar from Medusa. His 3-metre human size now went to a generous 5 meters as his muscles bulked up to perhaps twice its original size. The coat and shirt he had would move to his waist, showing his bare upper chest with flowing blond hair. Azure blue scales would jolt upon his body like building blocks a tail and talons would finally end the hybrid transformation.

An actual dragon now stood eye to eye with Medusa. While not in its true potential due to the poison, but impressive nonetheless. With the added boost in stamina this form grants, Kallavan's breathing that was nearly gasping before all but vanished. Naturally but not assuming to poison an azure dragon would require a lot more venom compared to a regular human. The paralysis, however, remained.

For now.

"Let's see how far removed you reptilians are from an actual dragon."
"Come!"

Kallavan beckoned, legs some distance apart and right arm forward. His left, still a conjured form out of flame clouds. Only now would it be evident to Medusa that Kallavan was missing his left arm up till his elbow.

The state of Kallavan's missing arm didn't even register to Medusa, as she was caught off guard by the sudden transformation of her foe. Seeing that he had became half human, half dragon sent a shiver down her spine, as he already had overwhelmed her in his human form. She was also running out of stamina, breathing heavily, and knew she could not sustain this form much longer.

Taking advantage of her poison that likely would hinder Kallavan's movement, Medusa rushed forwards at great speeds. Mouth agape and fangs blackened from haki and glowing with toxia even still, she aimed to bide deep into his chest with all her force. She threw her head forward and let it be carried towards his body by the full weight of her enormous body.

101-119: 4. City Block Level +5(S+) +3(haki) = 12. Large Continent Level

Regardless of whether or not her attack was successful, a short moment after impact her body would seem to implode. Wrapping itself up together, limbs retracting and torso shrinking, finally her form had abated. Medusa was once more a girl, the only hint of her other form the scales on her necks and cheeks.

Unknown to the marine he had shown just how significant the difference was between their abilities. Medusa recognizing this put everything into this last-ditch effort to mortally wound the marine. She aimed to maim the marine with a powerful bite, a relatively straightforward attack. Kallavan quickly intercepted, by following her blow for blow. His speed was reduced, yes. But he figured he didn't need it to meet this attack.

"Uaaaaaaaaah! Hadou Rokuougan (Flying Six King Gun)! "
120: 5. Town Level +4(S) +2(Haki) = 11. Small Continent Level

He shouted the name of his attack, cupping his hands next to him and propelling a concentrated blast of haki and hasshoken. The orb realized haki would fly and clash with Medusa head-on. But what the marine figured to be an equal attack seemed to be weaker, a bit surprising, for the man at least. Did her act of desperation draw out something more? Whatever it was she'd push through the flying Rokuougan and continue her path to Kallavan's chest. Albeit far weaker than it initially was. With speed and attacking potency lowered, Kallavan felt it was no longer a threat any longer. His azure blue chest shifted to a dark shine and Medusa's fangs tried and dig in deep but found that she could barely scratch the surface of this bolstered defense.

120: 7. Mountain Level +3 Haki = 10. Large Country Level

Remaining DPR = 7. Mountain Level

//DPR 2 or more below dura: Not very effective

Small scratches. That was all Medusa her last ditch attack would show against Kallavan's hybrid form. It took the combined might of his raw bulk and martial powers to reduce it to such a degree. But it'd still be very demoralizing in its totality. Moments after Kallavan couldn't help but look as the behemoth of a dragon shifted back into the girl from moments ago.

"It'd seem the distance was greater than I had anticipated. One final time, before I truly cast you and everyone else here as an enemy of the state."
"What is it you people are planning? No one needs an army this size for nothing. Do not cast me as a fool."
"Live or die, your choice."

Kallavan said arms crossed before his chest as he laid down his demands one final time. With Medusa weakened he sought to truly find out what this realm was all about. His instincts felt like he knew the answer already which was why she herself wasn't really divulging it. But here at the crossroads would she still try and defy his demands?

It was this and certain doom after all.

Medusa fell to the floor, or what remained of the stone surface. She had stretched her form to the peak of what she had been able to, her power was spent. Yet this monster who wore the visage of her true form was largely unscathed even after her strongest attacks. Pushing herself up into a sitting position took more out of her than she had expected. Her body felt bruised and her clothing was in tatters, blood caked across her skin though she wasn't sure what from. She moved to crawl away from the marine until he spoke, his voice speaking to her an ultimatum. She stopped then and turned back towards Kallavan, letting out a laugh. It was a desperate and disbelieving laugh.

The state? Get the fuck outta here! Medusa said, rising to her feet with great effort, still a tinge of laughter in her voice as she spoke. We are the outcasts of society, brought here by the Lord himself to live under his roof.

Everyone sees us as freaks to be exterminated, even you!
Medusa spat towards Kallavan at the last word, sending it flying towards his face. Should it land on his cheek he would feel a burning sensation followed by numbness, but not much more of an effect. The girl's voice had changed from maniacal laughter to sadness as green tinted tears ran down her cheeks. She stepped closer to the Vice Admiral, every step a struggle. We do what we can to protect ourselves, even from tyrants like you, because no one else will! Even if I knew of other plans by the Lord, I wouldn't reveal them to a monster like yourself!

Kallavan looked and listened to Medusa's last words in silence. His eyes looked down and kept that judgmental look within them the entire time. Even when she spit her literal venom at him, he did not waver nor did he move. The venom hit his cheek and left a sizzling mark on his face, inflicting a minor singe upon it. Eventually, she stood straight and kept her composure, explaining that she didn't know more. The marine had heard and seen enough and his judgement was clear.

"Ryujin" The man whispered, already standing beside her with dazzling swiftness.
120: 5. Town Level +2(B)= 7. Mountain Level

From his right hand a quick chop to the back of her neck would be executed, all with the aim of delivering it in a non-lethal manner. In the event that he was successful and the damage was enough to knock her unconscious the marine would speak.

"At long last you spoke plainly with me. Curse your fate young one, but I vow to change this world to its core. No longer will people have to follow the road of despair, accepting pitch darkness will be a tale of legends."

Kallavan said, lowering his right arm and with it reverting back to his human form. By doing so he exhaled deeply, the body still hard at work to get rid of the poison that was hitting him from the inside out. It'll take a while and most of it wouldn't be gone by the time he had left this island. But for now, it'd have to do. With each passing second his breathing started to stabilize but the fight against Medusa took more out of him than he liked to admit. Going forward he'd have to get rid of the notion of pulling his punches. The world was too dangerous for that.

"Let's go Thorkell, there's a lord I have to meet," Kallavan said, his next objective clear as day.

The white fox moved from beneath the rubble in the back and walked behind the marine, giving a bark in approval.

Medusa never had a chance to react, even as the man appeared next to her and striking her neck. She barely felt anything as he vision fell to darkness, her body collapsing in a heap on the ground. The room fell to silence, her body laying as discarded in the center of what had only minutes before been a beautiful place of feasting and gathering for friends and strangers. The remains of revelry and the girls minions were strewn against the walls, a mess of dead and unconscious bodies, wasted food and rubble.

As the girl's consciousness faded, a creaking sound filled the room. The door that sat at the far end of the dining room started slowly opening, a thin light shining through before expanding to illuminate the floor almost all the way to the two marines. Through the doorway the two of them saw something strange. The body of one of the demons lay center in a large entryway, before the rubble of a partly collapse wall. Through some strange magic, the door on the opposite side of the room led them to the place they had entered into the castle not long ago. If they looked closely they might even see hints of their own backs ahead of them. Truly it would not do to ponder long on this strange place, move on to the next.

From the entryway they once more had several options of attack. Next to either of the two doors that led to the strange room that Medusa had been found within there was one door. One to the right, one to the left. In the center of the entryway a staircase still led down into darkness, surrounded by two spirals staircases that wound around to meet in the middle, climbing up to the floor above.

If you wanna take the stairs up or down, let me know in DMs and I'll let you know what you'd find so you can include it in your post. If you wanna choose either of the doors on the same floor, just go ahead

Medusa lay defeated at the Vice-Admiral's feet and with her last strain of consciousness she, and Kallavan, would be able to see a door slowly opening. A faint light shone through before blasting the entire room they were in. "What's this?" The marine questioned as he squinted with his eyes, observing the room they were in earlier. And what appeared to be himself entering the very room they were in right now. The mind was surely playing tricks on the naval commander. He had quite enough of this room and the floor itself, he had decided to move on. To the next level of this castle.

The upper floor of this castle was cast in darkness all right. It held only one massive long hallway, lit bit the faintest of candles. If not for that he'd be walking in complete darkness. Without any visual cue or designation to focus on this walk seemingly appeared endless and even Thorkell let out an annoyed huff through his nose.

"Frustrating indeed," Kallavan replied but secretly this moment of reprieve allowed him to recover from the earlier fight.

Eventually, after what seemed ages of walking, the Admiral and his pet arrived at the end. Again two choices were given to them: a door to the left and right. Without any hesitation the marine walked to the door on the right and opened it, wondering what would await him at the end.

The marine ascended the stairs, climbing higher in the castle and reaching a hallway lined with candlelight that seemed to stretch far into the distance, longer than the castle should have had any right to be from outside. Was the castle playing with the mind of Kallavan or was there something else, something wrong with this place? It was hard to tell, and the man did not stop to question it. After what must have felt like a short eternity he reached two doors placed next to one another, far less imposing than what would have expected after such a trek.

Pushing open the door he was almost assaulted by a strong wind, blowing over him and past him, snuffing out many of the candles he had just passed. Yet that was all it was, wind. Because in front of him was yet another staircase, but even from his point he could see what laid at the end of it. The night sky, moonlight barely visible. A figure stepped into view, looking down on Kallavan with a proud demeanor. His long, black hair was a mess, his golden eyes lit up in the dark. A grin spread across his face as he crossed his arms, speaking in a loud voice.

Hello there! I am named Waltz, who might you be?

Should Kallavan climb the stairs he would also hear the sounds of a hundred demons like those that had accompanied Medusa, crawling around the roof of the castle, even climbing on the crenelations along the edges. Directly behind Waltz a tower rose towards the sky, yet not a single entrance was visible. Small slits that emitted light at the top of the hundred meter tall spire were too small for a human to get through, and should Kallavan touch the walls he would realize they were made from seastone.

A sudden burst of wind erupted from the door. The marine could do naught else but shield his eyes for it genuinely took him by surprise. When he finally regained his composure he was met with another set of stairs. But finally, they would lead to someplace, the night sky welcoming him. However, someone else also welcomed him. At the top, another figure stood and greeted Kallavan, who was still in the dark about what this place actually was. And he was getting more and more frustrated by the moment because of this.

Step by step Kallavan moved up the staircase noticing once more the presence of what could only be described as a small army. Once he was let's say way up the stairs the marine would respond to Waltz.

"Name's Kallavan. Vice-Admiral of the World Government." The marine said not bothering anymore to disguise himself.

Eventually, the marine would make it to a few steps away from Waltz and depending on where Waltz was located on the top of these stairs, the two men would meet eye to eye. The marine now standing far taller than one would expect at a 3-meter height.

"I hope you can give me more information than my previous host. She was quite rude all things considered." Kallavan said, trying to gauge Waltz's personality. But from a first impression this one seemed more like a brawler than a talker.

But then again looks can be deceiving. All the while Kallavan was drawing upon his life return to aid his recovery.

Waltz stood still as the new arrival ascended the steps towards the roof, yet did not move as the marine stepped up to the top of the stairs next to him. His chin raised in defiance of the other man's stature, he took in the sight of the man that towered even over himself. With most people Waltz would be at least a head taller, yet in this case he was force to raise his eyes to meet those of his foe. Halfway from two to three meters himself, the scene gave Waltz a strange sensation. While the difference in height did for a moment give him pause and a stab against his pride, he was more eager at the challenge this man presented.

You wish for information, you say? But about what? Waltz turned to face Kallavan fully, as he only had turned his head towards him so far. The other figure that trailed the vice admiral didn't interest him, only this man. If you need information about this land that our Lord's castle is seated on, or how to leave it, I shall be happy to oblige.

However.
Waltz said the single word by itself, letting it hang in the air for a moment. Absently he curled his fingers, much like an animal flexing its claws. I should hope you would not ask me to betray my pride and my Lord to divulge our secrets. You are but a guest, are you not?

Waltz suddenly cocked his head, seemingly sniffing the air in Kallavan's direction. His eyes narrowed as he spoke, no trace of mirth that might have lingered before now present in his voice. You smell of Medusa. And blood. What did you say about a previous host?

"Don't fret, she is still alive. I am no barbarian." Kallavan said, casting a side glance as he moved forward onto the roof itself, or whatever this set of stairs eventually led to. Moving to a nearby crenelation and sitting down, finally, he thought to himself. Once seated, Kallavan looked upon Waltz, hoping that he could finally speak plane with the man in front of him.

"I've repeated myself enough tonight and I am not a man who likes repeating himself. But you seem like a sensible fellow, a kindred spirit." Kallavan said, trying to break the ice using their mutual warrior spirit as a base of loose trust.

" I was thrown here, alone and without my crew. Survival was a struggle but I managed and believe it or not I merely stumbled upon this castle. It was the only place I had yet to explore but was always closed from the outside. Until today when the gates finally opened." The Admiral said, continuing his tale.

" I will be frank Sir Waltz. For a land that is so bereft of natural resources, at least to my eye, and without any enemies it does make me wonder. Why is there such a large force of troops and commanders here? It boggles my mind. Without a clear picture, I'm afraid I won't be able to leave this place without second thoughts. I am a defender of the frail balance that hangs in this world." The man continued as he stood up once again, a few paces between him and Waltz. "So, I ask once again and for the final time this time. Lie or give me more questions and I shall judge this place as hostile."

"Who are you people?"

Kallavan said and Waltz would feel the urgency and weight beneath those words. This man's patience had already been sorely tested and to be allowed this final chance yet again was out of respect for a fellow warrior.

Pure luck.

But would Waltz's answer be satisfactory towards Kallavan?

Despite all else, Waltz judged the man before him to be a man of honor, and when he claimed that Medusa still lived he felt that he believed his words. It was with relief that he accepted that the man had not yet killed any of his dear friends, as she was the only one he could smell on him, apart from the demons of course.

Yet while those words had calmed Waltz's nerves, those that followed did not appease him the same. His eyes drifted to the demons that crowded the roof around them as the marine spoke, and they seemed to sense the tension in the air as many of them stilled their movements, instead letting out very low growls as they turned towards the two men as they spoke.

"Who are you people?"
After the final words by his adversary, Waltz remained quiet for a short moment, his eyes drifting across the landscape that he could see from where he stood, before finally looking back at the man before him, taking a step closer to Kallavan. Who are we, you ask?

We are the undesirables, the outcasts of society.
Where before Waltz's voice had been cold, it now brimmed with ferocity on the verge of a growl. This close it should be obvious to Kallavan that the man he conversed with was not purely a human, but something else as well. His body was overgrown with hair, one could almost call it fur. His eyes bore the traits of a canine, and gave the impression that they saw more than they should have in the dim light.

We were brought here by Lord Urias, given a home. Now you threaten that? At last Waltz's words devolved into a full growl near the end, his words hard to comprehend. You may leave now.

Kallavan looked on as Waltz approached, his appearance shifting with each step. More feral, more ferocious with each passing second. The marine kept his stoic expression on lock and even let out a short sigh. Unable to comprehend why they couldn't just give him a straight answer. Numerous times he had tried diplomacy in this realm but with each passing second they were trying to bring it into violence. All of these people were like starving beasts. The mere thought of having to potentially give up this place made them go into fight or flight mode. And all Kallavan honestly wanted was information, why was there such a large army in this realm, a realm bereft of any natural enemies who didn't really need it. It only made sense in his mind if they were attempting an invasion.

" I will threaten it if there is a reason," Kallavan said as he straightened himself. Thorkell leaping from crenelation to crenelation behind him in a hurry.

A simple gesture but that single movement would break rock and stone all around Kallavan. The man's haki would weigh down upon anything as if the world was pushing down upon Waltz. And the young warrior would feel the sensation that he was fortunate. If he had met this marine later in his life, at this point he'd have lost upon the overwhelming force of this marine's aura. The sensation of this man's desire was so raw, so gut-wrenching that it'd choke mere mortals.

"Listen here, child," Kallavan said, tone as cold as ice.
"I've been patient with you a lot. But ever since entering this palace, I've been attacked, poisoned and survived an assassination attempt. I'd calculate your next move, very very carefully." Kallavan said, his tone getting more and more menacing with each passing moment. With his right hand up, he extended his index finger.

"One more step. That's the only thing I'll allow anymore. And it's so you can lead me to this Lord Urias, I want to meet this man. And hopefully, he'll be able to make sense of where the fuck I am."

The Vice-Admiral said as he lowered his finger. The storm of haki faded, bottled. But Waltz had but to take one wrong move and it'd be over and this time the marine wouldn't be so gentle. One might imagine that Waltz's warrior and animal spirit would scream out for danger. Kallavan's aura would be overwhelming and moving into full villain mode.

He was simply pushed too far. His pirate blood-line, that temper, was about to take over.

Waltz felt the power of the other man wash over himself and press down as he spoke, around him the demons fell to the ground unmoving. While others might feel intimidated by the presence that this man exerted all around him and the clear potential he showed, the Moonlight Wolf King only smiled, an excited smile that took on a more feral cast as Kallavan spoke.

Hearing the words spoken by his would be foe, the half mink grew angrier by the moment. He didn't care what position this man held, nor what he wanted. These were clear threats to him and his own, his pack. Teeth bared in a terrifying grin he raised his chin against the man, standing his ground before the man he knew likely to be stronger.

Get. Waltz took one step forward towards Kallavan, raising his right hand slightly. His left hand vanished inside his pocket.

Out. Waltz took a second step forwards towards Kallavan, pointing a finger out towards the empty area before the castle, back where this intruder had come from. His left hand came out, carrying a small object, then vanished beneath his coat behind his back. He stood in defiance of the threats and orders of the marine, within striking distance. Itching to make the first move, Waltz held himself back by sheer force of will.

"Get."
"Jugon Madara."

Kallavan whispered and moved with explosive acceleration. True to his word when Waltz took a single step forward, the Admiral responded. His right arm flew forward like a whip, muscles boosted through his Genkai technique. Which unleashed a flurry of hypersharp and technical blows. The shigan-like punch delivered at a pace so rapid that it appeared like hundreds were being launched all at once towards the Mink. Aiming to riddle him filled with dents all over his body.

120: 5. Town Level +3(A) +1 Haki = 7. Mountain Level = 9. Small Country Level

After unleashing this single round of blows, Kallavan would seek to establish some distance between him and the Wolf Warrior. Whether it'd succeed or not the marine would speak to the young man.

"Do not regret your choices young man. Face forward, can you let me feel the thrill?"

Kallavan said taunting the young man and hoping to end this rather quickly.

(you put 25 instead of 27 in your last post)

Waltz only managed to take one step forward before Kallavan struck. Waltz was expecting an attack, but he was expecting his adversary to be honorable, to hold himself to his words. Yet he attacked after only a single step. With a flick of his wrist that was hidden behind his back, he pierced his back with a needle, injecting himself. Immediately his body grew and his skin expelled hair from its skin, though it was unlikely that Kallavan would notice as he launched his attack.

With how short of a response time he was given, all he could do was to swipe his now clawed hands across to meet the fists of the Vice Admiral. It was only due to his increased reflexes that he managed to hold off the onslaught in time, his lack of preparation made up for with the strength of his haki. Each of their attacks met in the air between, rapidly clashing and stopping either one of them from being hurt. After a brief moment of fighting, Waltz jumped backwards, creating some space between the two of them. Now, in the open, his new form was apparent. He looked much like his name suggested, a wolf on two legs. When he spoke, his voice was far more feral.

I am disappointed...

I expected you to be a man of honor. Waltz shook his head. Yet you told me you would allowed me a single step, only to attack me when I did. I expected your attack after two steps, but I will not make such a mistake again...

Kallavan had indeed told his opponent that he'd allow one more step and while many would believe that they'd be allowed another one they'd be wrong in that fact. For it came with a single if clause. One more step if it was to lead him towards Urias. Waltz took that single step forward and towards Kallavan who stood near the edge of the rooftop combined with the warrior's tone and anger reaching their boiling point. There was no doubt in the Admiral's mind. This man would not follow his suggestion. Combat it was. What did surprise the marine was that even on such an extremely short notice he found and met his blows, forcing Kallavan to widen his eyes shortly. Surprised at the current revelation and battle aura that started to increase exponentially from aura alone the two were nearly matched.

"Honor?" Kallavan said, surprise and a hint of disgust apparent in his voice.

With his cloak undone, the marine underwent his visible transformation. His size went from an already impressive 3 meters to a staggering 4 inching out at 5. Before Waltz stood a juggernaut of a human being. An azure glow replaced his skin which emphasized his dragon scales with a set of horns jumping out of his blond hair and a tail to match the entire look. The dragon hybrid form already engaged for Kallavan felt immediately that he'd need it here. Whereas before it was merely a hunch.

"Stand in the ashes of a million dead souls and ask if honour matters." Kallavan said his voice now amplified and booming even greater than before. Letting the words linger for a moment or two before dashing forward with impressive speed but nothing Waltz wouldn't be able to handle in the grand scheme of things. What would be the most surprising was his overwhelming power in this hybrid zoan form.

"The silence is your answer," Kallavan muttered as he dragged his right arm forward, coated jet black with haki. Aiming a deadly punch straight to Waltz's head and throat.

"Kokusen!"

Technique
An incredibly deadly punch when the user strikes an opponent's vital point with laser precision. Applying the hasshoken energy within the last possible second. This results in the overlapping of two forces, creating an immensely powerful blow that overflows with black lightning. Often confused with King haki but can be imbued with it.

Even despite his changed body wanted to spring into action, the primal nature of his mind in this state urging him on even more than normal, Waltz was able to restrain himself long enough to listen to the man's response. What followed were words that spoke of violence and deaths aplenty in the past, but what intrigued the half mink was instead transformation his adversary underwent. It reminded him much of Medusa, yet different still. Kallavan still remained standing on two legs, but he had grown horns and a tail now, his skin replaced with scales.

The speed at which Kallavan moved was incredible, in his normal form Waltz would never have been able to keep up. Now, in his strengthened sulong form, he was able to follow every one of the man's moves with precision. The power carried in that punch was incredible he knew, and needed to be met on equal footing. Stepping forward to meet the marine, Waltz thrust his right arm forward, twisting the limb and extending his long claws forward. The grey fur on his forearm and up blackened from his haki as he aimed towards the incoming punch, if not deflecting the attack, at least stopping it in its path with his own hand. Waltz laughed, enjoying himself finally.
Hahaha! Well said, action trumps empty words!

same as kallavan
As the two bestial figures clashed, down at the base of the stairs the intruders had ascended only moments ago something else happened. The other door opposite to Waltz's opened. A slender figure emerged into the dim candlelight, looking up towards the battle above with clear disdain. Without a word, this person approached the steps intending to climb upwards. In the poor light provided by the area one could still make out the two twin protrusions from the figure's back, wings that were folded inwards as to not be in the way.

The two fighters collided. Fist against fist as power surged from their point of impact. Their wills merge and damaged even the surrounding area. The marine used the recoil of the attacks to establish some distance, a jump backwards would do the trick in this situation. Back on his feet, Kallavan would take a glance at his right fist. Smoke rose from it and with it an ever-so-slight throb. A first since arriving here.

"So this is the famed Sulong form. Interesting." Kallavan said with genuine intrigue to this transformation.

It wasn't unsurprising from where this came from. Ever since being granted this new set of powers and fighting Kaido himself Kallavan figured this to be an echelon higher of strength. But it seems several people in this ocean could match that power. It was something to consider for Fox Hound.

Kallavan would lower his hand and stand straight once more, looking at Waltz. If observed correctly one might even see a faint smile on his face. With a single foot forward the marine flowed into a neckbreaking dash forward. In a straight line, Kallavan flew like a bullet from his place. Within mere moments he was again a few steps before Waltz and moved his right fist straight towards the young man's face and perhaps upper body, given the difference in size.

"Howitzer!" Kallavan shouted as his fist flew, dark lightning dragging behind once again.

But was it haki or a variation of his Kokusen attack?
