Inferno Island
City of Dis
Purgatory Hotel

Movers and shakers. Producers and consumers. During the weekends Hotel Purgatory became the #1 hotspot for commercial dealings in the City of Dis. But during the week the spacious halls became deserted with only those who prefer anonymity remaining to handle their unsavory work.

"Kilij Talking"
[Kilij Thinking]
Kilij Action

Footsteps echoed as Kilij Dao Odachi walked into the posh hallway of Hotel Purgatory. This Tiger Mink was elegantly dressed in a high class three piece suit. He had the air of a nouveau riche as he strode in as if he owned the place. On his shoulders two large duffel bags swung. Every other step the gleam of shiny gold could be seen as the light reflected on its small openings.

This member of the Backyard Pirates was assigned to come here with Number X to trade their stash of gold relics for hard clean currency. They were going to meet with an appraiser who would inspect the value and offer them a monetary exchange. For that reason the Tiger walked towards the reception counter and registered for a two days stay.

The lady behind the counter seemed to have a sadistic smile as she checked upon his reservation. On occasion she glanced at the bags he carried, but the pirate wasn't worried. Anyone who dared to steal from him would be met with the cold hard steel of his swords. But just to be sure he made a mental note of her name tag. It said 'Bellzebeth'.

He register for both himself and X. Kilij would be staying in room 13 and X would be right across the hall in room 23. With keys in hand, the Mink went over to the bar to wait the arrival of his partner. Sitting on a stool he ordered a whiskey on the rocks. Sipping on fine liquor he let the alcohol burn his throat with its earthy aroma.

Since it should be a few minutes before X got here, he drank slowly as he watched the bartender do his job. If Kilij made any notes of the man behind the bar, it would be that the guy was impeccably dressed for just being a bartender in a hotel. But that might just be how it is in fancy establishments. The fellow had a nametag that said, 'Mamnon'.

And so Kilij waited for X.

There was a trade that was supposed to happen in a luxury hotel and X didn't want to appear in his regular roughed attire. He opted for the best he had in his wardrobe. A dark leather coat silk red inside on top of a businessman attire with grey stripes and a red tie to match his coat. He had new belts specially designed to go with the clothes. One was on his torso, going around it and attached to over one of his shoulder. On his hips to support his guns were what looked like two distinct belts but in fact was only one designed to look like that. He wore a hat on top of that, and it hid partially his eyes giving a mysterious air around him. He didn't want to be looked down upon because he was a pirate and taken lightly because of he changed his dress code. So he held his rifle over his shoulder with one hand and had one gun on the other as he walked in the hall of the hotel. The sound of his leather lace-up two tone wingtips shoes echoed in the room together with a clanging sound.

Kilij waited at the bar for X to show up. He was already on his third glass of whiskey. Usually the Mink didn't drink much while on a mission. But since today's affair was just a glorified trade with a merchant, he didn't put his guard up as if he was heading into combat. Just as he was finishing this latest drink. A poorly dressed woman approached him out of the blue.

'Please sir could you spare some change? A few coins to feed the family?'

The Mink was surprised. Who would think that there would be beggars in such a high class establishment. But as someone who has at certain points been in the lowest caste of society, he could relate with the lady. Just as he was considering giving her one of the golden trinkets in his bag, the bartender spoke.

'What are you doing here Gabriella? You know you aren't allowed in here! Security!'

That was when an older gentleman walked into the scene. This man had the vestiges of an old grizzled war veteran. Kilij knew that the guy has many fights in his life. Of course this wasn't because of the Tiger's observation skills. No Kilij actually knew the man as the guy was a friend of the crew. It was because of this man named Michael that the Backyard Pirates decided to make the transaction here.

The big guy wasn't rough on the woman. But he gently escorted her out of the facilities. When he saw Kilij, he just gave a slight nod, not acknowledging their relationship. The Mink understood. It was wrong for the security guard to to stop and chat while on the job. Specially with a pirate. Still it was good to see a friend. Now if only X were to get here, then they could talk with the appraiser and make the trade.

Up his six feet and dressed like he was, X didn't pay attention to what was going on. He saw a man passing by him escorting a poorly dressed woman.
"Guess they do have a dress code here. So I was right to put this on." Thought the marksman before heading to the reception desk. When he reached there he asked the man behind the desk, " Have you seen a talking big cat around here?" X had that habit of not respecting Kilij for being a tiger. Calling him a cat was his way of teasing him, but at some point the man forgot when to stop using the word.
After a short pause, he was answered and showed the way to the bar.
"The bar huh? Dang it Kilij you know how to get me in a good mood. Gungungun!" Without any restraint or sense of courtesy he let out a laugh that echoed in the whole building. His lack of manners was typical of the kind of pirate he was. He still had his gun with him yet no one dared to tell him to stop brandishing it or put it away. He walked towards the bar still chuckling over the idea of having a drink with his friend. He was surely happy, which would be weird from a certain perspective as the two of them are always bickering at each other and fighting over nothing. In fact a few days ago a fight broke on the ship and Weapon and Jin had to step in to stop them. X kept on saying that he was stronger than Kilij resulting in Kilij beating some sense into him.
"I didn't have my guns" argued the loser
"I didn't have my swords" replied Kilij
"Doesn't matter when I have my guns." Said X wiping down the blood on lips with the back of his hand.
"Then we'll see how it goes next time we get in fight."
Their friendship was questionable looking at them, yet they were the best in team fight. Nothing could stop them once they teamed up to fight.
From afar, X could see Kilij built back and recognize it.

After watching the scene with the beggar Kilij turned back to see a new drink waiting for him on the bar. The Tiger Mink didn't gave it much thought and quickly downed the concoction. As the liquid burned his esophagus in its way to his stomach, the pirate thought that it was a strange and surprisingly spicy cocktail. He wasn't sure what was in it, but he thought that he might need to ask the bartender about it after they were done with their business.

Get it up and turning around Kilij finally saw his partner for this mission walk through the doors. X was a roughneck most of the time, but for today's assignment he cleaned off his style. Although he still dressed in his favored western clothes, this time around he had gone with the higher quality end of that look. If one didn't know better they might think that he was high class individual. Of course
Kilij knew better. He had gotten in enough squabbles with X to see through the disguise and if you asked Kilij he would say that the Tiger Mink had a much better appearance than the gunslinger. As if a ten gallon hat could compete with a fine set of glossy stripes in a backdrop of sunset orange fur?

Kilij went to welcome X when he felt like he lost his center of gravity and thus making him stumble into a table. He grabbed it to avoid an embarrassing fall to the floor. After gaining his balance again the Mink dust himself off and continued to go greet his friend. Yet while he walked he was slightly shocked on how tipsy he felt. Sure the beast man had drank quite a few drinks as he waited, but he usually would need twice that amount to feel any effects. For a second he became wary, the Mink didn't like being drunk when on a mission. Still this was just simple money trade, so it wouldn't matter if he wasn't at a hundred percent capacity.

Reaching X the Mink put the bags of gold on the floor before stretching both of his hammer and anvil hardened arms around the other and gave him a bear hug. No this was something much stronger than a bear hug, this was a Tiger hug, the King of Beastly Hugs.

As a Tiger Mink the drunk Kilij can hug with devastating force to show both friends and enemies how much he appreciates them. With the spirit of a savage hunter behind it, the hug lifts the target from the ground and applies back breaking force on their spines to sow the frightening scars of friendship on them forever.
DPR: D

While lightly greeting him Kilij spoke in a slight slur. "X you gun hoe I thought you would never show up at this rrrrattttee. It's so like u to be ouuutdarrre having fun while I'm stuck herrrrre dragging this heavy bags of gold. You'll have to thank me later forrrrr my harrr worrrrc. Anyways here's yourrrrr rrrooom key and I'll see you later for the trade. This Tigerrr is going to go get a nap."

The Mink patted the other on the shoulder with a bit too much force before ambling towards his own room. On the way there he saw the large lion statuettes that adorned the main hall. The Tiger Mink clicked his tongue at it. Kilij had a natural rivalry with lions and lion Minks. So seeing those forms aggressively annoyed him much the same as when he heard that this hotel was owned by a lion Mink. Maybe after the deal was over with the Tiger might vandalize the lions. Kilij smiled at that idea as he retreated into his room.
