I'm really full into Yamato for Mugiwara now. Sorry Carrot. I really doubt Oda would kill Orochi just like that. Do Kaidō and Big Mom know the location of the Ancient weapons? I think maybe Caribou might have told Kaidō about Poseidon, but what about the others?

ON the darker side of the chapter. Damn.. If Kinemon is a firefox that somewhat wields swords alongside flames. Kiku's ability is a lot different based on what she said to Kanjuro. Regardless if it's symbolic or rhetorical, the way she delivered the lines are pretty dope and BLEACH-like.

Yes! That's what it is mate! She's boarding Thousand Sunny and regardless if she has a relative position in the crew or not, she'd board them. I mean, Oden doesn't really have a distinct position in the crew rather than creating havoc in their every mission aside from banging Toki.

But I srsly thought that King provoked Kaido in doing that. I mean, look at how the sheathe was readied for kaido. It was lifted by his chest.

I would have preferred if Kaido picked up Orochi's head off the floor but i see Orochi now being 7 headed (i really am glad that Orochi doesn't have the Hydra DF as everytime you cut the head two more spawn)

If Oda wasn't incapable of killing characters that would've been an epic moment, but yeah no one's going to believe Orochi is dead for one second, so that kinda killed the hype for me.

I'm really intrigued by the idea of Yamato wanting to join the crew, since it would very much resemble the nature of Oden joining Whitebeard and then Roger's crew. My only question is, what would Yamato's purpose on the crew serve, aside being just another powerful fighter?

It doesn't really matter. Oden didn't have any purpose in joining WB at the beginning. He just wanted to sail and I think that somewhat parallels it. Neither of Momo and Hiyori had showcase any interest in joining or sailing with them so Yamato would be the perfect fit.

It doesn't really matter. Oden didn't have any purpose in joining WB at the beginning. He just wanted to sail and I think that somewhat parallels it. Neither of Momo and Hiyori had showcase any interest in joining or sailing with them so Yamato would be the perfect fit.

True, only thing that bothers me is that the straw hat crew has always had specific individual roles so Yamato wouldn't fit in the same way. Although I guess Yamato has only just been introduced so it could easily be possible to introduce unique motivations for her to fit into the crew.

I'm still not completely sold on anymore characters joining the straw hat crew, mainly because I feel like the straw hats are going to directly parallel the blackbeard pirates, and since both crews now have 10 main members it would be weird to me for that to change.

I agree to that too but as compared to BB's crew, most of the SHP cannot solo their counterpart so it'd be best if we have some additional force to balance that out because I don't expect a BB vs SHP to be assisted by either marines or part of the alliance.

What a chapter, but yeah, a viz translation has never been more needed!

There’s no way that Kanjuro is taking all of those scabbards + Law, with his drawings and some beast pirates fodder (unless Kanjuro is super OP). He should definitely lose unless he runs away.

If he isn’t going to run I’d prefer for him to fight Ki’nemon as opposed to Kiku - but I have to say Kiku was amazing this chapter.

I imagine Orochi got Kanjuro to make a clone of him due to his already present paranoia. Or because of his zoan he can’t die from his head being chopped off. However, if Oda actually killed Orochi like that it would be craaazy.
