Being stationed behind enemy lines, we remained idle around the rocky terrain surrounding the Rainbase. The next step would be the next strategy and how it will be applied. Hina who'd tallied the officers that stuck around with some remaining pacifista's returned informing me of the numbers and then it came to the strategy of how our siege would play out.
The numbers would be revealed of just how many officers stuck around with their ranks and how many Pacifista's still remained unscathed. Listening to the numbers and ranks, I believed that there was enough manpower to lay siege on the Rainbase and then progress further.[Rear Admiral Hina] "Hina report. Four Pacifistas. Rough estimate of our troops are 600 soldiers, 50 Lieutenants, 20 Commanders, and 10 Captains. And of course, you and I."- said the Rear Admiral, her eyes over the troops behind herHina's finger traced the map, indicating the strategic placement of their troops, strategically hidden behind the rocks, shielded from Rainbase's immediate view. As she emphasized her words, she subtly conveyed the significance of their roles in the upcoming siege. Despite their pivotal positions, Hina acknowledged the challenge ahead – breaking through the Vampirates' home turf required both skill and numerical superiority. The pink-haired tactician pointed at Rainbase on the map, cautioning Link to anticipate the unexpected and prepare for a heavily fortified city.
[Rear Admiral Hina] "Hina sure. The Vampirates do not have the manpower to rival our numbers. They'll use surreptitious means to fight back. We'd best be careful."- assured Hina, her eyes the horizon[Rear Admiral Hina] "How do we proceed? Hina ready."- asked Hina, prepared to move out
Hina's gaze turned to Vice-Admiral Link, anticipating his command. A Rear Admiral handed Link a unique den den mushi, equipped with a telescope in the middle of the conch. As Link peered over the horizon, several critical observations came to light. Manned cannons strategically overlooked Rainbase, especially the stairs leading to the city. Surprisingly, the stairs appeared unguarded. Moreover, smoke billowed from four locations within the city, accompanied by occasional flashes of cannonfire. Signs of internal strife?
I'd take another glance at the map and then note that there were four different pathways into the town, then trace my finger taking note of the four entrances then turn to Hina.
[Link]: " See here we have four different entrances where we can advance our bearings. I'll advance my bearings for a face-off, as you could split up taking a certain handful of the soldiers and a pacifista's advancing by the rear. I'll use myself as bait, and have them all target me so you can then flank them by infiltrating before we lay siege to the Rainbase. "
Hina would then hand me a unique den den mushi that was equipped with a telescope in the middle. I'd then grab hold of the unique den den mushi then peer through it noting the cannons that overlooked the rainbase, though for some reason the staircase leading into the city was unguarded. Flashes of cannon fire would spark here and there with billows of smoke protruding from the four entrances to Rainbase, if anything it appeared as if someone beat us to the punch.
[Link]: " Seems like we were beaten to the punch or the Vampirates that are there are low on numbers. Let's move now whilst we hold the element of surprise. "
Then tossing the Den Den back into the palm of Hina then hunched forward as i made my way towards the entrance that was directly before the rainbase. I'd peer around at the direction of the cannons that overlooked the entrance noting they were still unmanned as i took my chance to walk up the stairs to the entrance of the Rainbase.
