He does resemble Koushiro, except Koushiro wears transparent glasses.
That sword Denjiro was carrying also looks a bit like Wado Ichimonji. Could be just a coincidence though.
You know he might not be Denjiro but he might have tie to Wano

Remember in chapter 934 when momo said a word that Zoro taught him , Kiku said something about it being a yell similar to it in Kuri's dialect
I can see Zoro learning it from Koushiro

yes Zoro said the old ones in his village used to say it, which hints to their background in Kuri/Ringo

The funeral scene started off the worst and ended the best! Lmfao

Not sure if I like Oda yet. He’s certainly a jackass, but he seems to mean well... it’s odd.

He’s nearly got some Big Mom level hype with the recounting of his early life. But then it kinda dwindles out. If he defeats this pig god then maybe...

Oh definitely.

Koushiro's dojo is located in a place named Shimotsuki Village.
And we have a guy called Shimotsuki Kozaburo. According to Tengu, he was a blacksmith who illegaly left Wano 50 years ago.
He is the same blacksmith who forged Enma (used by Oden) & Wado Ichimonji.

My theory is Shimotsuki Kozaburo may be Koushiro's dad or his older relative. After all, 50 years ago Koushiro was just a 1 year old.
After he left Wano, Shimotsuki created his own village, named it after himself, and passed down Wado Ichimonji to Koushiro.
That "snatch" yell Zoro learned most likely came from Koushiro, while the later previously learned it from Shimotsuki.

And now Zoro owns both Enma & Wado Ichimonji...it almost feels like he inherits the will of Shimotsuki bloodline.
Zoro previously owned Shusui, a sword used by the legendary "Sword God" Shimotsuki Ryuma.
Remember Yasuie? He was a Shimotsuki himself.
When Yasuie decided to follow Zoro, he said "When I first laid eyes on you, I knew that I had to follow you! I don't regret it one bit!"
Zoro was freaking mad too when Yasuie got executed.

Sorry I'm getting a bit too excited here. I'll excuse myself. :weirdpeep:

Heck we got a past introduction from Denjirou. Can anyone do something with that? Whatd the deal with Denjirou?
I'm thinking its kyoshiro for sure now and kyoshiro is witching hour boy.
Boar plot? It is not exciting me, just some plot devicing to tie together Oden Kinemon and Denjirou.
Seems like Oden was Denjirou's senpai for almost 2 decades.
i think that the traitor plot and reveal is going to be a lot more complex and nuanced than I might have originally suspected. For some reason this is giving major "the traitor is kin" vibes. Whoever the traitor is, I think that we will find out the roots of the betrayal in these flashbacks and I think denjiro/kyoshiro faked identity is related to trying to wait the traitor out. I also think that the grounds for the betrayal will make the traitor redeemable in the end somehow (making it all the more sad I think--traitor isn't a bad guy but someone who loved oden placed in an impossible situation).
I'm more interested in how the hell did Orochi came in contact with Kaido
I am living for this right now. I really like the theory that Kaido and Orochi are somehow really close childhood friends hahahahah

Let's be wild. They're brothers :catcorn:
Even though I don't see how it would fit in. I wonder if we'll get some of Orochi background here. Is he from a wealthy family. I don't think just anyone can become Shogun

I cracked it, I am certainly sure that I cracked everything, the theory is currently in writing, I suggest everyone to keep an eye on the theory section. I will solve the Denjirou mystery for ever.

Lolol well back before we got orochi’s fruit title I had a theory they were the only two remaining ‘natural’ dragons that had been wiped out by world government or something. I think kaido’s alcoholism pairs really interestingly with orochi’s extravagant and lusty lifestyle and love of parties. Like both of them are trying to cope poorly with a tragic past..... orochi needs to convince himself that he is essentially the king of heaven on earth and life couldn’t be grander and no one could possibly happier—while kaido just wants to die, be blackout drunk, and watch the world burn by his hand—two very different and very extreme examples of avoidant behavior

Looking at this chapter, it seems Oden shares a lot of similarities with Hercules in Greek mythology:

- Oden got drunk and started fights with gamblers; Hercules got drunk and started fights with centaurs

- Oden caught two rabbits with his bare hands at age 2; Hercules caught two snakes and killed them with his bare hands at 8 months old

- Age 15, Oden kidnaps women, forms a harem; Age 19, Hercules forms a harem, had sex with 50 women
- Oden diverts a river to flood the capital; Hercules diverts a river to flood the Augean stables.

- The giant boar attacks the capital and Oden wants to do something. It came from the mountains; The Erymanthian boar was a giant boar that Hercules had to capture (12 labors). It also lived in the mountains.

- The harem thing could also be attributed to the Nemean Lion in a way, that Hercules had to kill as part of his 12 labors.. This lion kidnapped women and kept them in its lair, in order to lure warriors and kill them. This is similar to how the Harem Revolt in this chapter culminated.

- Oden lifting a rock and killing a bear with it at age 6 is really typically Herculean - as something that required great strength - and is again, similar to Hercules killing snakes at 8 months old.

- Oden sentenced to hard labour after nearly killing someone is quite similar to Hercules, who sentenced himself to the 12 labors after he killed his wife and kids, though the sentences are very different.
