The anime also has some filler. I am DC anime only tho for now... but the anime filler are also quite watchable. :3

I can't get over how interesting the plot and the back-story is, but it's getting drained with all the murder cases along the way, and the abundance of breaks from the author is another pain in the arse...

Well isn't it the same as with One Piece and Oda? Aoyama has been doing it even longer and his health must be pretty drained as well... But yeah it's understandable, it's moving rather slowly

I've learned to appreciate the effort put into these manga panels over the years, but the chapters in Detective Conan are barely consistently aligned with the main plot, that you almost lose track of the development on the storyline with all these breaks.

That is true. You sometimes don't know what you already know and what not. It feels like you're far with the story but... it's basically not much xD

I used to love reading all the cases and even try and figure out how things had developed in some in the first few hundred chapters but with the lack of plot development during longer periods I've figured it's more fun to me to stop reading and skim through till I spot BO/Kaito kid plots and then read from there.

This simpy is right... I do appreciate the author efforts in a normal murder case but it's getting too much when the author focuses on these cases more when interesting plot like a black organization is still needed to be unfolded

Ahh we're the opposite, I love the cases a lot and I don't keep track of the actual plot anymore :lazylaughplz:

i watched until episode 400, then i got bored cause of fillers and stuffed episodes. tried to track black org. only episodes but lost interest.

I really like the concept but man is so long!!! I always forget where I left it. Start reading it again and stop because I get tired after a while and then repeat. The main plotline moves quite slow as well, countless chapters can go by without mentioning the organization and when we get something is just the appearance of one of the members and that is it they disappear to appear a hundred chapter later again and disappear again. I know that if I read it fully as I go progressing they will be more present but man that must take a while.
