Rozalin stood ready as her two opponents went for the fast approach. One misconception that these two made, however, was that they simply needed to tap her lightly for them to score a point. Rozalin clearly stated that they needed a clean hit which is a term often heard in martial arts competitions. Regardless they moved forward with their plan.

Gintoki would blitz forward to the untrained eye but Rozalin was ready for him arms up high they'd flare up with a glistering blue flame. Movement and reaction were nearly equal between the two allowing her to move accordingly to Gintoki's attack. Near the apex of Gintoki's swing, Rozalin would leap up while following Gintoki's movements with her body. She'd tuck her legs so that her knees would touch her chest. The hop itself wasn't that high but just enough to avoid the swing entirely. While returning back to the ground her body had finished turning around allowing her to extend her left leg into a downwards kick. The kick aimed diagonally would hit nothing but air as it was nowhere near Gintoki's range. "Kūshiki " She muttered as the sheer force of the kick translated into a massively compressed flame pellet. The pellet even though it was launched from Rozalin's slender body had the size that could easily engulf Gintoki's own body. After the pellet was released Rozalin would land back onto the floor mat with the grace of a falling feather.

This woman hid incredible strength behind such a slender body frame.

Air Type (空 (くう) 式 (しき) Kūshiki) a strike that attacks the empty air in front of someone, creating a powerful shockwave from the pressure of the limb in question and then sends it flying towards his enemies. These airborne shockwaves can be created multiple times and have been noted to travel in less than a split second. Enhancing the strike with Fiero greatly augments its destructive capabilities.

The two teams were set with Mao and Etna having the first ball, the latter holding it in her hands while her brother stood a few rows in front of her. She'd toss the scorching hot ball up in the air before leaping after it, the jump allowing her to kick it afterwards. Behind the kick were ample strength to give it direction and incredible forward momentum. Mao would observe the orb flying above him near his right shoulder he too would jump up going for a volley to add even more speed to the ball but also to abruptly change its trajectory. Now hitting the ball so that'd go in a straight line towards the plate on Vash's side. While the ball moved both Etna and Mao were moving down from their jump with the former being on the ground by the time the ball reached the goal.

Vash and Wolf were ready to take on Etna and Mao. The two Demons started the match with the ball in their possession. Etna threw the ball up into the air and kicked it. Mao jumped toward the ball, kicking it and changing its trajectory. As the two formed their attack, Vash's left arm suddenly transformed into a wing made out of blue flames. When the ball was about to blitz past him, he moved the wing in the way, catching the ball with his wing. Vash appeared to have no trouble whatsoever catching the ball, which showed that he was significantly superior in terms of physical strength. As the ball bounced off of his wing, Vash flapped the wing and slammed it into the ball, sending the ball ripping through the air and toward Etna's and Mao's side of the field. The ball was imbued with black Busou-shoku no Haki upon hitting it. Due to Vash's strength, the ball moved much faster than when Etna and Mao threw it, which likely resulted in the ball demanding their full attention if they wanted to stop it. As Etna and Mao were distracted, Vash quickly pulled out the gun holstered on his right thigh. His eyes glowed red for a moment. Vash was using his Future Sight.

Peering into the future just slightly to see how Etna and Mao would react, Vash would be a step ahead of them. Just before the two could catch or parry the ball, Vash would fit a bullet from the gun. The bullet would hit one of the pillars and literally bounce off of it, hitting the ball at an angle and redirecting it toward a goal. Between Vash's monstrous ''throwing'' speed, his Future Sight, and an unparalleled bounce shot, Vash formed a three-layered surprise right off the bat, aiming to take Etna and Mao by shock and score the first goal quickly. He who strikes first wins.

In the meantime, Gintoki and Bambina were in quite the opposite situation. Whereas Vash was clearly much stronger than his opponents, Gintoki and Bambina faced an opponent that was stronger than them. Gintoki blitzed toward Rozalin, aiming to catch her off guard with his speed. However, Rozalin jumped up into the air, essentially jumping over Gintoki, who blitzed past her. Gintoki ended up a few meters behind the airborne Rozalin. Both of them, Rozalin still up in the air, turned around and attacked at the same time. Rozalin kicked, unleashing a powerful fire pellet, and Gintoki brought his sword overhead, unleashing a full-powered double-handed overhead downward swing. Black Busou-shoku no Haki clad his sword, aiming to slash through the pellet the best he could to nullify it.

Slightly stronger, Gintoki's slash managed to cut through the fire pellet. However, that was all a distraction, and Gintoki's ploy to land the first strike. Rozalin couldn't possibly know this, for Humandrills did not exist in Disgaea. But, Humandrills were able to completely mimic martial arts and weapon techniques upon seeing it once. As such, before Rozalin even landed, and while she was busy attacking, Bambina would flash past her with the same move that Gintoki had performed earlier, aiming to catch the airborne and unsuspecting Rozalin off guard. Bambina was using a scabbard, so there was no sharp edge for Rozalin to worry about, but a hit was a hit.

Vash

Through sheer superiority, Vash caught and threw the ball once more with even greater power than his adversaries. Mao who saw this quickly went to intercept the ball as quickly as he could through air hops while Etna stood ready for defence. However, before Mao could do anything to redirect the ball Vash was already one step ahead of him. With the bullet from his rifle, the man redirected the ball allowing it to curve around Etna and into the goal post behind them.

"Goal, Team Vash!" A voice echoed throughout the room.

Mao and Etna would look at one another clearly taken aback by the power of this human pirate.

With the ball back in his hands, Mao grid his teeth as anger was clearly visible now. Moving towards Etna the two would talk about something as they planned ahead. The ball would ignite once more into fire as Etna now also moved up a few places. Fire would imbue her hands as she conjured numerous amounts of spears that floated above her, thick haki coating every single one of them.

"Hell razer!" She shouted as she threw the arrows forward while Mao jumped upwards just in time to avoid them.
DPR: 81-100: 5. Large Building Level + A:+3 +2 Haki = 10. Island level

Mao who was now high up into the air on his side of the field would observe how his opponents would handle the attack before he'd strike his ball.

Gintoki

With incredible reflexes, Gintoki turned around and sliced through the fire pellet destroying it and any damage potential it had. However, the real surprise arrived when Bambina quickly appeared behind her to deliver the real strike with Gintoki's scabbard. Unable to defend much while in mid-air the ape would manage to hit her through his blitz strike reappearing next to Gintoki while Rozalin dropped to the ground relatively unscathed. A bruise and perhaps a broken bone here and there but nothing life-threatening.

"Ippon! Team Vash" A voice echoed throughout the room. It was now one vs 0

Rozalin would take a few steps back as she granted some distance between her opponents. She'd change stance with her hands now much closer to her body left fist upfront while the right remained back. Her left foot would be up signifying a muay Thai like stance if the two could determine the difference. "Kiyakushiki" She muttered as her eyes flared blue, remaining silent for now. The battle continued but how long would Rozalin keep this up against two opponents that are working pretty well together.

Vash's heroics scored them the first goal, and it looked like things would be going well from here on out. Etna and Mao seemed significantly weaker than Vash in terms of strength and speed, and with Vash's ability to see the future as well, this bout was nothing less than over. At least that was how an outsider could view it. But Etna and Mao were not convinced. Instead, they were mad that they were down, and they decided to go onto the offensive. Etna conjured spears of fire and launched them toward Vash and Wolfwood, while Mao jumped up into the air with his ball, avoiding the spears of fire while at the same time looking for an opening to strike his ball.

Little did Etna and Mao realize, what they had just done was a grave mistake. When they had explained the rules, they made no comments about fighting, fouls and what else, if anything, was and wasn't allowed in this game. As such, since it was a ball game, Vash and Wolfwood had assumed that direct fighting was not allowed. But, now that Etna outright attacked them, Vash and Wolfwood came to understand that this would be much easier and quicker than they had initially thought.

Oh boy... this won't end well for them...

Wolfwood said to himself, jumping to the side and out of the spears' way, and pointing the Punisher up into the air toward the airborne Mao. Wolfwood opened fire with the machinegun inside the Punisher, aiming to shoot Mao out of the air while he is airborne and presumably unable to maneuver. Black Busou-shoku no Haki clad the bullets, seeking to end Mao. Wolfwood the priest had no soft spot for Demons. As for Vash, he would take care of Etna. Holstering the gun, his right arm transformed into a wing of blue fire as well. His feet transformed into blue fiery talons, and he flapped his wings. What came next was out of Etna's league. Considerably faster, Vash disappeared from sight, avoiding the spears of fire and ending up in front of Etna. When Vash appeared in front of her, his right leg was already in motion, performing a roundhouse kick. The talon aimed to slam into the left side of Etna's ribcage with enough power to send her flying into the wall and through it. Black Busou-shoku no Haki clad the talon, giving it more power just in case.

Gintoki and Bambina managed to score a hit on Rozalin. Their individual strengths were not as great as Rozalin's, but their teamwork was working so far. Their teamwork was only possible due to Bambina's ability to copy martial arts and weapon techniques. The ability to so perfectly and so instantly analyze an ally, inherently bode well for teamwork. Rozalin grinned and got back into a stance, her eyes flaring with fire. Gintoki and Bambina, now standing side by side, got ready as well. Gintoki would be the first to strike. Holding his sword with two hands, Gintoki rose it overhead and then swung it downward. The single swing unleashed a barrage of multiple flying slashes, ripping through the air and toward Rozalin.

Flying Barrage...!

When Gintoki attacked, Bambina was looking at him, analyzing. Bambina then rose the sheathe overhead as well, and looked at Rozalin. Whether Rozalin avoided the many flying slashes, clashed with them, or blocked or parried them, Bambina would wait for a good opportunity and would then swing the sheathe, once again copying Gintoki's technique and unleashing a barrage of flying slashes. Due to the timing, as well as the fact that both of the attacks were rapid-fire in nature, would hopefully overwhelm Rozalin, and at least one out of the dozens of flying slashes would graze her, winning Gintoki and Bambina another point.

Gintoki swung his weapon unleashing a salvo of numerous bladed airwaves. Rozalin would counter with an attack of her own extending her right leg as she kicked the air, launching large shockwave pockets forward. " Riyūsengunkō " She'd shout as her barrages flew forward. Gintoki's slashes would clash with Rozalin's own blasts but would quickly find them to be overpowered as the shockwave blasts continued to push forward, eventually ignoring the slashes. Rozalin's attacks were much wider than the regular air slashes preventing them from slipping through the cracks of her own attacks. Bambina due to the close proximity would find itself also targeted by the leftover blasts, nevertheless, Rozalin wouldn't give in and would continue her kicks even when Bambina launched an attack of its own. But it too would eventually receive the same fate as Gintoki's own strikes. Depending on the result of these kicks Rozalin would lower her leg once it was safe to do so, until then she'd keep it in her regular muay Thai stance.

The pirates while at the start followed the rules rather obediently quickly saw their way out when Mao and Etna quickly noticed the difference between them. However, that leap in logic to attack also became their downfall. Wolf would point his weapon at Mao and quickly sprayed machine-gun fire at the young demon without remorse. With a spinning kick fueled by fire, Mao attempted to shield himself with a fall of thick flames. Sadly this attempt had no real effect as the thickly coated bullets wrecked Mao's defences, judgement would rain upon the young man as he afterwards fell down, blood trailing his descent. "MAO!" The young Etna shouted for that was as much as she could do.

When those words had left her mouth Vash had appeared in front of her blitzing the girl with an overwhelming display of strength and speed. With a single kick, Vash would break nearly all the bones surrounding the impact of this strike and still had leftover force to bulldoze her through the goal post that was behind her.

Mao would fall down towards the ground between the posts while Etna lay knocked out in an impact crater inside the wall on the other side of the room.

A single mistake bred out of impatience had cost Mao the match. But perhaps much more. These two men were monsters and unbeknownst to them. Maderas had seen this overwhelming display of strength. As his blood boiled under the sight of his defeated children.

"Match over! Team Vash wins!" A voice echoed quickly followed by a clicking sound and light revealing a door right next to Etna.

A tag team of brothers in arms, Vash and Wolfwood worked in perfect unison, defeating both Etna and Mao in a swift fashion. The match had never really become about ball, but that was the decision that the young opponents had made, and they paid for it. What came next, however, was rather surprising. Vash, now no longer transformed in any way, suddenly summoned blue flames. The blue flames erupted from his hands, swirling around his arms. There was no heat to the flames. There was no killing intent. Vash pointed his left arm toward Etna and his right toward Mao. Then, the blue flames suddenly erupted into two large blasts of fire, engulfing the two Demons.

Heal Blast...!

No screams or agony came from the two Demon children engulfed in fire. Instead, their injuries would start to heal. It would take some time, but eventually, so long as they continued to bask in the fire, the two Demon children would get better. As Vash and Wolfwood walked out of the arena and through the door, Wolfwood asked Vash if this was a good idea.

Oi Vash... these are Demons we're talking about. You sure it's a good idea to heal them?

They're not Demons, Wolfie. They're children.

Vash said as the two left the room, the door closing behind them. What would come next for the duo?

In the meantime, Gintoki and Bambina had much more of a challenge in front of them. Both of them swung their weapons, unleashing a barrage of flying slashes toward Rozalin. However, their attacks were met by Rozalin's own. Air pockets clashed with air slashes, Rozalin's prevailing. Both Gintoki and Bambina jumped out of the way, and Rozalin's attack came crashing into the wall behind them, shaking the very room that they were in. Bambina's eyes seemed to be extremely locked onto Rozalin. Rozalin would feel that intense gaze, though what it meant was anyone's guess. But Gintoki knew what was happening.

Bambi is learning huh...

Oi, Miss! You're helping Bambi a lot, thanks!

Gintoki said with a grin on his face, though whether Rozalin would understand his words remained to be seen. Gintoki slid his feet apart, adopting a wide stance and bending his knees. An aura suddenly overtook Gintoki, and an intense will would come to shape his next attack. His eyes glowed, and he whispered the name of his attack.

Nine Dragons...

Gintoki said, pushing off. With his utmost speed, Gintoki aimed to blitz Rozalin, unleashing nine sword strikes in an instant. Each sword strike would hit at almost the exact same time, aiming for nine spots on Rozalin's body. The neck, the shoulders, the chest, the stomach, the thighs and the knees.

Heal Blast: This allows Vash to summon a big blast of the Blue Flames of Resurrection, which can heal a group of people all at the same time, by engulfing their area in the Blue Flames of Resurrection. Unranked - not an offensive technique.

Rozalin would answer to Gintoki as she was 100% focused on her battle with him. The realisation that Bambina was studying her moves to copy them later would most likely arrive far too late. But it didn't matter too much for she was forced to counter with strong attacks. "Shiyūshiki Aoginranzankō". She'd say as Gintoki dashed forward unleashing what could only be described as one of his most powerful attacks. But Rozalin would counter with one of her own. Arms coated with Fiero and armaments haki she'd unleashed a flurry of strikes so vast in number that it was futile to count them all. From her flurry of punches, thin sharp fire like arrows was unleashed packing a ton of power through her shockwave style martial arts. These arrows would be send flying all around her as she'd punch in various directions around her. Gintoki's strikes would clash with several of these arrows but in the end and he'd most likely be struck with several of them at once.

Gintoki if his movement continued would be standing behind Rozalin and if he couldn't come up with a way to deflect would find himself struck too many times to continue the match. For the arrow-like strikes were too numerous. Rozalin would keep up her fire and haki on her arms but her stamina was monstrous. Even after delivering so many high ranked attacks, there wasn't a sight of sweat on her face nor was she breathing hard.

She'd simply stand there turning around to observe Gintoki and Bambina their next moves.

Vash

Both Wolf and Vash got through their rooms relatively quickly and thus were rerouted unbeknownst to them and the demons. The door would lead into a dark staircase that leads downwards yet again. It was a short one this time as they'd reach an underground bar of some sorts. The bar was dark and looked as if it hadn't seen visitors in a very long time. Chairs were put on the tables upside down to allow for a quick sweep with a broom or something else. The only place one could sit at were the barstools near the bar itself. Once Wolf and Vash would enter the bar a soft jingle would greet them from the lone windchimes that stood in the corner of the door entrance. "Who's there? Master Maderas?" - A soft, elderly voice spoke.

Upon following the direction of the voice, Vash and Wolf would notice an elderly gentleman appear from behind the bar. The man with a cloth in hand appeared to have been cleaning behind the bar, most likely a cupboard of some sorts. After a quick glance, the man would take a new wet cloth as he'd clean the bar and the general vicinity. "Oh. Strangers. It's been ages since I've seen fellow humans here. I figured Maderas had sealed my little store. Would the gentlemen care for a drink?" The old man said, revealing that he had been living here on his own for quite some time. Vash if he'd pay attention would notice a faint light from his ring catching it just before it disappeared.

Did it have to do something with revealing this room?

Vash and Wolfwood, victorious, walked down another staircase, proceeding deeper underground. Before long, they would find themselves in what was an underground bar. It looked like the bar had not been visited by anyone in a very long time, which was understandable, given its deep underground location. From behind the counter, noise came, and when Vash and Wolfwood looked over, they saw an older gentleman. He asked if it was Maderas, but then quickly saw Vash and Wolfwood and surmised that they were not the great Demon Lord. He offered a drink, stating that this bar should have been sealed by Maderas. Vash and Wolfwood looked at one another and then took a seat at the bar.

I'll have some scotch...

Whiskey for me.

The two men said, ordering their drinks. It was time to figure out what was going on.

What's going on here, old man?

Vash said, raising his fist toward the old man and showing the glimmering, glowing ring. Vash had noticed that the ring had started acting up the moment they entered the bar. This old man would know for sure.

Elsewhere, still up in one of the rooms, Gintoki and Bambina were still involved in a fight. Gintoki took charge, pushing off of the ground and rocketing toward Rozalin. Putting all of his speed and power into one technique, Gintoki aimed to strike Rozalin multiple times and win the match in one attack. However, things were not so easy. Gintoki blitzed past Rozalin, all of his attacks parried by Rozalin's fiery shockwaves. Instead, Gintoki got grazed on his left thigh and right shoulder, burned and cut. Two strikes against team Gintoki and Bambina. However, the wounds were not deep or too worrying for now, due to how blitz-fast the exchange was. There was no time for either to land a well-placed hit.

Right after Rozalin unleashed her attack, when she was busy dealing with and distracted by such a blitz-fast technique unleashed by Gintoki, Bambina figured that was a good time to get a sneak attack in. Bambina dashed, performing Gintoki's strongest technique that was just copied. With the scabbard, Bambina aimed to deliver strikes to Rozalin's neck, the shoulders, the chest, the stomach, the thighs and the knees. Four out of nine strikes was all that was needed. Would Bambina get lucky on the account of Gintoki's distraction effort? Gintoki took two strikes to get this opportunity. It was all or nothing.

"Ippon!" A voice shouted as Gintoki was grazed twice rewarding Rozalin with half a point each. However, the exchange wasn't over just yet. Bambina was quick on the uptake and was immediately upon the demon princess. Unable to built up her strongest technique due to the delay and Bambina catching her quickly she had to take different measures. "Kishinya Eshin" She'd say as her arms moved forward with lightning quick jabs. Locked in an almost death-match Rozalin'd counter and deflect nearly each and every one of Bambina's strikes. Unfortunately, however, while this technique was strong and could be unleashed quickly it also was its weakness. For she could only strike 8th times in such a short amount of time. Meaning that Bambina would eventually win in terms of quantity the strike to her neck would hit and blast her sideways with incredible speed. Crashing into a nearby wall Rozalin would find herself gathering her bearings as the strike was deadly if the ape wasn't wielding a scabbard. "Ippon, team Gintoki!"

Now finally the two would see that Rozalin started to catch her breath meaning that the last attack did a considerable amount of damage. She wasn't out of the count just yet though as fire started to heat up intensely. She'd move down her body into the position of a sprinter that was about to take off while haki covered her entire body. "Messhiki.." She'd say as the fiero around her arms now also started to move around her body turning her into a human-like asteroid. "Issen." She'd say while eyeing Bambina while blitzing forward with incredible speed and beyond human strength. Rozalin's aim was to bulldoze right into Bambina with so much force and velocity that no matter the number count he wouldn't be able to stand up once again.

The demon princess was trying to blitz these to away quite literally.

Messhiki (Annihilation)
Rozalin lunges forward, punching or shoulder tackling her opponent with so much force it creates a shockwave that decimates the surroundings and is capable of going through most materials and defences. Combined with her fiero running rampant around her this allows for protection against counterattacks if one would be foolish enough to try.

Meanwhile, in a forgotten bar Vash and Wolf had found them a mysterious guest inside this castle. The elderly man would simply nod in agreement as he poured their drinks. The bottles and glasses strangely enough well preserved given the situation surrounding the bar. Both Vash and Wolf would also find premium quality in each of their drinks, this was a man who took pride in his craft and was particularly skilled at it or so it'd seem. After he had placed their drinks the man would move his glasses to take a better look at the glowing ring. "Hmm this looks like Lord Meliodas his wedding ring. Where did you find that young man? Maderas burnt everything that belonged to the previous ruler of Disgaea. Perhaps that's why you stumbled upon my shop, Lord Meliodas spirit was always different than the rest of us."

The man said as he took out a dry cloth cleaning the glasses as he began shelving them behind him. "My apologies gentlemen. Almost forgot to introduce myself. I'm Gaston a forgotten friend of Lord Meliodas." The bartender known as Gaston finally revealed himself and also appeared to be Vash and Wolf's first primary source of potentially reliable information.

Locked in the heat of battle, both Rozalin and the team of Gintoki and Bambina managed to score more points. However, it was clear that their fight was nearing the climax. With Bambina having landed a strong hit on Rozalin, a powerful emotional strike had been dealt. ''If Bambina had been using a real sword, things would have gotten dangerous for Rozalin''. Such a thought likely enraged the Demon Princess. Her pride would not allow the thoughts that she was being taken lightly. It was because of those emotions that the hot-headed Rozalin opted for one of her strongest attacks. But, a strong attack also required a huge commitment, and that commitment could led to a lower guard. Gintoki and Bambina, who were cool-headed, knew that this was their opportunity. They did not need to kill Rozalin. They did not need to overpower her. All they had to do was land small blows.

When Rozalin charged forward like a raging asteroid, putting all of her strength, momentum and commitment behind her charge, Bambina grinned with his spiky teeth. The mischievous monkey had tricked the princess.

Rozalin was much stronger, but all of her momentum would be her downfall. Timing it well, just as Rozalin was about to come slamming into Bambina like a bull, Bambina somersaulted over Rozalin. As her was somersaulting over her, Bambina would attempt to smack Rozalin's shoulder. And as Rozalin passed under Bambina, Bambina would also attempt to smack Rozalin's shoulderblade. Two quick strikes, all in one summersault motion, with barely enough strength behind them, but enough to count as a hit. Would the mischievous monkey get two hits in on the account of Rozalin's hot-headed charge?

In the meantime, Vash and Wolfwood, who had discovered a bar under the castle, had been served their drinks. Both of them gave the drinks a test, visibly showing fondness of the taste.

Damn that's good stuff...

Tell me about it!

The two men said as the barkeep took notice of the ring. He asked Vash where he had found the ring, and also explained that the ring belonged to a man named Lord Meliodas. The barkeep seemed to be a good friend of the man.

This? I found it on the corpse of a man that looked just like an older me. I don't know what that's all about. Now, the ring got us involved in some game with that Maderas guy. I have no idea what's going on, figured you could tell us what's happening...

Vash said, giving the drink another taste.

Rozalin dashed with all her might as she unleashed one of her most powerful attacks. Bambina grinned at the prospect of dancing against such a powerful move. With a quick somersault it launched itself over Rozalin delivering two quick strikes in the hopes of attaining the win they needed. While the strikes did indeed land there was still a referee who watched in the shadows. Who acknowledged the strikes but deemed them not true hits as in many competitions the sustained damage is also integrated into the way points are given. With two half hits team Gintoki was awarded a single Ippon by the referee. " Ippon!" The voice shouted which was completely ignored by Rozalin. "Messhiki....Niren!" She shouted at the moment Bambina had launched his somersault. Ignoring the hits that she had received and upped her speed even more. From below Bambina could see or rather notice that after his strikes Rozalin shifted into a red streak that dashed forward towards the wall to push off towards the ceiling to eventually push off from there in one blitz strike downwards. Using momentum and even gravity to pin Bambina into the ground with a ground shattering punch. Hoping to gain her second point and KO Bambina at the same time.

Messhiki Niren (Annihilation twofold)

While the technique stays the same Rozalin can add several dashes towards her Messhiki move allowing her to gather more speed and eventually catch her opponent through a confusing zigzagging pattern.

/Gif for reference

incase it wasn't completely clear, Rozalin dashed towards the wall to push herself up the ceiling which she'd use as a second platform to add more power to her second dash.

Gaston would continue to clean the glasses as he'd place them behind him once he was done at the same time he listened attentively to the two men their explanation. The man would chuckle a little bit when he heard them speak about the game they were playing. "Oh, dear. Has he started that thing again? " Gaston would say as he laid down his glasses and took a barstool of his own while he took out a smoking pipe. " Do you lads mind if I?" Gaston said asking if he could smoke in their presence. Regardless of their answer, Gaston would continue to explain.

"In case nobody has told you yet you're in the land of Disgaea a forgotten island on the New World that rests beneath the ocean current. Much like Wano we've kept mostly to ourselves. Marines don't find the risk to venture here worth it. You've seen how desolate our lands are, nothing much to gain for them. A land of tieflings and demons. " Gaston would say giving a rough outline of the island they were on.

"Ruled for centuries by a single king nothing of worry happened here until Lord Meliodas' reign and the coup that Maderas instigated. You see Meliodas was the very first human king of Disgaea. A human with the ability to turn into a demon by devil fruit many called him a halfling. An outcast reached king by his many successes and the belief people had in him. You see this land had a lot more humans back in the day. However, we were mostly shunned to the other side of this land. Meliodas wanted to change that. And he almost did. But Maderas saw himself as the true ruler and instigated a coup. Which was achieved by the very 'game' you're playing."

Gaston said as he took another quick break from his history lesson.

"I'll spare you the details and keep this history session brief. But Meliodas took on this challenge on his own. Confident that he could take the challenge on his own to keep bloodshed to a minimum. A grave miscalculation on his part. Maderas took this opportunity to assassinate any known ally Meliodas had. Once the king found out it....it..broke him." Gaston said, saying the latter part with pain as he reflected on that moment.

"This moment of grief, however, made Meliodas ignore the rules of the game and they finally stopped him and exiled him. I wasn't aware he eventually came back to us. Perhaps he was already too weak by that point. Maderas however, during his time in exile sprung a narrative that humans couldn't be trusted and so began a crusade against our people. I'm the only human left at this point but I always believed justice would come to this land." Gaston concluded the tale of this game as he leaned closer to Vash and Wolf. But Vash in particular.

"Young lad. I cannot explain the connection between you and lord Meliodas but I believe you're some kind of spiritual reincarnation. Your likeness to him cannot be mistaken. However, Maderas is toying with you by making you abide by these silly rules. In the end, they're just a means to weaken you so you'll eventually lose against him. Didn't you find the point system odd?" The bartender said as he finally took a pause.

When the two would think about it it was odd that only the final game would allow for a winner in the end. Until now it'd finally make sense.

"These rules only bind you if your end goal is to truly rule this place. If it is not, why follow them?" Gaston finally concluded revealing a loophole in the ancient texts that Maderas was following.

A lot of information was given by Gaston to Vash and Wolf. There was a way to work around this circus Maderas made them play in. It was up to Vash and Wolf to decide how they'd continue in this.

Vash explained where he had gotten the ring and spoke about the game that he had been pulled into along with Wolfwood, by Maderas. The old man in the bar chuckled in disbelief of the fact that Maderas was pulling this stuff again, and asked if they would mind if he lit a smoke. Vash nodded that he was fine with it, and Wolfwood did the same. The old bartender then went on to explain everything about this underworld named Disgaea, as well as its history, its past ruler Meliodas, and how he fell to Maderas' ploys. Vash continued to nonchalantly drink his drink, and if the old bartender was observant, he would see that there was absolutely zero worry on Vash's face. Even though Vash had just been told that he had been tricked into a game that was taking his energy and getting him ready to fall to Maderas, Vash didn't bat an eye. When the bartender finished explaining, Vash had already finished his drink and set the glass back down on the counter.

Thanks for the drink old man. As well as the information.

I guess you're right. I have no wish to rule this land. But I should send this Maderas guy packing. Don't worry old man, that guy has absolutely no chance against me. It'll be over quickly.

Vash said. His tone did not seem arrogant, but rather extremely unfazed. Could it really be that Maderas had no chance against this human? Whether the bartender found that crazy or not, Vash would get ready to go. As he and Wolfwood were leaving the bar, Vash turned around and invited the old bartender along.

You should come with... I get the feeling that you've been waiting a long time to witness a great change in this place.

Vash said, leaving the bar with Wolfwood right behind him. If the bartender followed or not to see the fight, was up to him. Vash walked back upstairs, letting the stairs take him wherever they would - but likely to the same room where he had won the game of ball. Once there, Vash would take out his two guns, wielding one in each hand. Black Busou-shoku no Haki clad the two guns and Vash aimed them up at the ceiling.

Alright, let's smoke that guy out...

OIIIII, DEMON GUY MADERAS!!! GET OVER HERE AND FACE ME BEFORE I DESTROY THIS WHOLE PALACE!!!

Vash said, and then started firing bullets. One powerful bullet after another, with great Busou-shoku no Haki surging through the bullets, he fired them at the ceiling, at the walls, and everywhere else. The Busou-shoku no Haki exploded when the bullets hit something, turning them into shockwave shots that rocked the whole place and continued to do so one after another.

In the meantime, Bambina's and Gintoki's struggle against Rozalin continued. Bambina managed to get two hits on Rozalin, but only one was counted. Gintoki tsched in annoyance. They should've counted both. If that were a real blade, proper cuts would have been inflicted onto Rozalin's shoulders. But, it was what it was. When Rozalin blew past Bambina, Gintoki saw her ''flying away'' from Bambina and into a wall, before going up to the ceiling, and then coming back down. As quick as Rozalin was, all over that detour allowed Gintoki to jump over to Bambina's side.

Bambi, let's attack together.

Gintoki said, and Bambina nodded. The two then imbued their weapons with black Busou-shoku no Haki and got ready. When Rozalin came crashing down on them, Both Gintoki and Bambina pushed off of the ground, rocketing up with their black weapons in hand. Putting a spin on their swords, both Gintoki and Bambina unleashed a powerful spinning stab forward. Like a pair of the drills, the two weapons clashed with Rozalin's fist.

DUAL TIGER DRILL!!!

Bambina's DPR: 81-100: 5. Large Building Level + S:+4 + COA: +2 = 11. Small Country Level

Tiger Drill: Gintoki uses a burst of speed to close the distance between himself and the target, and stabs the target. By putting a spin on his arm and sword, Gintoki effectively turns the sword into a drill, increasing its penetrative force. Rank: S

Rozalin's attack was individually stronger than both Gintoki's and Bambina's, but together, they were somewhat of a match. They were still both blown away and came crashlanding back on the ground. When the dust cleared and the two stood up, visibly exhausted from the fight so far, the whole place started to shake from Vash's shootout somewhere else in the palace.

The hell's going on?

Gintoki wondered with a goofy look on his face.

Rozalin clashed with the red coats duo causing a destructive confrontation. The amount of energy that clashed against each other was impressive, sparking outwards as it tore off tiles and even brook the wood around them. However, with both of them together their strength matched Rozalin's individual attack and the latter could feel her being push back. "Impossible!" She'd shout as the volatile energy could not be controlled any longer and finally detonated. Blasting each party to the other side respectively, Rozalin crashed into the ceiling and the redcoats towards the floor. "Ippon, Gintoki! Ippon Rozalin!" The announcer said, awarding points to both teams due to an equivalent exchange in damage. Rozalin her body was imprinted onto the ceiling due to the amount of pressure she flew against it. Trying to pry herself free she'd hear and feel the commotion Vash was making but she was still visibly angry as the announcer finally finished the fight.

"Match over! Team Gintoki wins!"

Rozalin after a while had finally managed to free herself as she'd land onto the ground exhaling after the spar. Visibly annoyed and nearly angry she'd turn and move out of the dojo. Too proud of herself she'd part without any words, the humiliation of falling to defeat an ape was too great for her to face right at this point. A door to the side would slide open for her to move through before closing after she disappeared. To the left of Gintoki and Bambina, the true exit finally revealed itself for them to pass through.

Vash

Gaston would look in awe and shock as Vash wasn't the least bit worried about what he had just been told. On the contrary, it'd seem that this story had motivated Vash even more. And when the two men moved up he stares and invited Gaston to finally see another day free from this prison he could not help but tear up a little bit. " Your spirit is still alive, My lord." Gaston would whisper beneath his breath as he forced down a tear to prevent him from sobbing.

Once up Vash began to tear up the place with his two pistols. Explosion after explosion he'd try and demolish the place until Maderas would finally reveal himself. It didn't take long before the lord would announce himself. "Enough you fool. If you wish to haste your demise by all means." The man said as a singular transparent door opened up in front of them. The insides of this door showed a dark black void with no hint of stairs or anything else. It'd seem there was someone else pulling the strings or at least capable of controlling who goes where.

When Gaston, Vash and Wolf would go through it the black void would confirm that it was pitch dark inside, however, a sharp intense bright light a few steps in front of them would confirm an exit. Once there they'd arrive in the middle of an arena of some sort. "Olympia...but this is on the other side of the island. Shade's transportation ability never ceases to amaze me." Gaston would comment on how quickly they travelled.

In front of the group, Maderas stood at the ready. Cloak cast away for a more battle oriented set of clothes. For now, the lord remained silent as he'd eye Vash wondering if they'd tag team him or it'd be a one vs one match. With the arena equipped with seats, they could easily watch without getting in the way of this battle. "I'm here...saviour. How do you wish to settle this?" Maderas finally spoke as he straight-out asked Vash how he wanted to do this.

Rozalin, Gintoki and Bambina clashed gloriously as the energy of the clash lashed out, blowing the three away from one another. Rozalin was blown into a wall, while Gintoki and Bambina crashlanded on the ground, struggling to get back up. It was clear that in a fight to the death, Rozalin would have had the advantage. But in this fight, Gintoki and Bambina won. And the humiliation of losing to an ape, was too much for Rozalin. Like a mad young lady, she walked out of the room. Gintoki burst out laughing and patted Bambina on the back.

Damn Bambi, we got her. Hahaha!

Gintoki said as a door opened for them. Bambina gave the scabbard back to Gintoki, who sheathed his katana into it and put it on his hip. The two walked through the door.

At the same time, Vash started rampaging, causing the entire castle to start to shake. Provoking the Demon Lord to come out, Vash succeeded as the Demon Lord took his challenge. A door opened for them as well, though this one was not normal at all and led to a strange void. Figuring that the old bartender would have warned them if the place was anything dangerous, Vash and Wolfwood walked in, with the old bartender close behind them.

In a matter of seconds, everyone - that is Vash, Wolfwood, the old bartender, Gintoki and Bambina - walked out into an epic arena. The arena was grand, almost as if suitable for a fight between Zeus and Ares themselves. Needless to say, the ones that would fight in this arena were no Gods to say the least. But one was a Demon Lord, and the other was a Mythological Phoenix. Close enough.

Wolfwood, Gintoki and Bambina all walked up into the stands. Wolfwood encouraged the old bartender to do the same.

Let's go enjoy the show.

Wolfwood said, likely to the old man's surprise. How were they that relaxed and confident? Were they really going to allow Vash to take on Maderas alone?

In the arena, Vash and the Demon Lord were the only ones left. The Demon Lord asked Vash how he wanted to do this, and Vash replied.

Nice and quick. It's time this place started living again.

Vash said, reaching with both of his hands for two of his guns and dual-wielding them. His left leg transformed into that of a Phoenix's talon. Bringing both of his guns up and aiming them side by side at Maderas, Vash fired two bullets. Black Busou-shoku no Haki coursed through the bullets. The shot signaled the beginning of the fight.

The audience took refuge in the arena while the two combatants prepared themselves for combat. Wolf suggested Gaston follow him ensuring that everything would turn out fine. "You hold a lot of confidence in your captain. That is good but the lord is no pushover..." The old bartender added as within the arena things kicked into gear.

Vash drew his guns while Maderas unsheathed his own blade showing a pitch dark blade whether for decoration or by having imbued it with haki for so long was unknown. Regardless, as he drew his weapon streaks of fire would follow the movement of the blade. When Vash fired his bullets Maderas drew with his weapon a circular movement allowing for the following fire to expand outwards like a river. Creating a thick cushion before sending it flying so it could clash with Vash's bullets. "Sei En no Uneri " Maderas said as he nearly whispered the name of his attack. Haki aiding in the attacks defences so it could protect the fire just enough to survive.

Sei En no Uneri
The user swings their blade in a circular motion that can defend them from all incoming attacks or decapitate multiple enemies at once.

The fire and bullets would collide in a most impressive of clashes for something so ordinary. But from these two with their mastery over their given craft and battle potency, anything would look incredible. Their two attacks matched as they cancelled out each other perfectly but Maderas knew that the gunslinger wasn't playing true to his abilities. As he was keeping his zoan transformation in check, at least for now.

The Demon Lord would quickly go onto the offensive as he sheathed his blade and kept it close to his hip, many a practitioner could recognize this stance as an incoming Iai move. And true to the stance and perhaps oddly predictable Maderas would move close to Vash, aiming to evade any gunshots left and right if they'd come his way. Until eventually he'd be able to swing his weapon inside of Vash's range but not close enough to wound him with the actual weapon.

" Iai jutsu: Yamidzuki - Yoi no Miya "
Maderas said as he drew his blade once more at astonishing speeds, the blade igniting once more as he unleashed a powerful fire-based air projectile. Vash could note that this air projectile moved towards him at very close range horizontally and that it differed a little bit from your regular power slash.

The most obvious one being that it was greatly enhanced by the fire but that it also despite it flying horizontally was carving and damaging the earth below it. Like a raging tempest, this air blade wasn't the pristine wave most swordsmen would learn. This one was crude and bastardized capable of damaging the immediate areas around the initial impact. Much like a shotgun shell this airblade had a much wider area of effect than an ordinary projectile. Gintoki would most likely recognize the difference, the question was if Vash would notice the intricacies within these techniques.

Yamidzuki - Yoi no Miya
Maderas draws his sword and slashes swiftly in a singular horizontal motion in a crescent shape, creating numerous chaotic crescent blades around the main 'blade'. This allows Maderas to attack a wider area than normal and with the Iai jutsu stance, he can bait either a defensive response or an offensive one. Both, in turn, allow him to draw his weapon safely.

You'll see soon why we're so confident. Our Captain's power makes no sense.

Wolfwood said as both Gintoki and Bambina grinned and nodded. Their confidence was really nonsensical to any outsider, and almost unbelievable. But there had to be some truth to it. If Wolfwood and the rest of them were actually worried about their Captain's life, and just putting up a bluff, there was no way they could do it so absolutely confidently. It was their Captain after all, and they had to care for his life.

The two powerful bullets, and more importantly the immense Busou-shoku no Haki that flowed within them, clashed with the powerful fiery tempest that the Demon Lord had summoned. The clash was equal, which would speak opposite of Wolfwood, who seemed to be saying Vash was much stronger. But, it was only the first attack, so neither fighters were going all-out quite yet. A difficult outcome to judge.

When the clash finished, the Demon Lord sheathed his sword and then entered into an Iai stance. Vash continued to point his guns at his opponent. When the Demon Lord dashed, Vash fired two more bullets, these from the other gun. These bullets were much weaker, but Vash simply intended to prevent the Demon Lord from dashing straight. Sort of a bluff attack, perhaps.

Once Maderas avoided those and closed the distance, he was about to unsheathe his sword and unleash a powerful attack. However, in that instant before he was about to do it, Vash spoke words that would undoubtedly startle and unsettle the Demon Lord, his eyes glowing a tint of red and orange.

Iai jutsu: Yamidzuki - Yoi no Miya... cute attack...

What? Impossible. How did Vash know what attack Maderas would use? And to even name it? This was the first time they had met. What Vash had just done, was an utter impossibility. Vash's left leg, which had transformed into a Phoenix's leg and talon, came up in the form of a kick, imbued with black Busou-shoku no Haki, clashing with Maderas' sword before it fully left the sheathe, or unleashed its attack. Not only did Vash know what attack was coming, and what the name of it was, but he managed to intercept it with great speed and precision.

Talon Kick: After transforming his feet into talons, Vash performs a front kick, blowing the target away while leaving gunshot-like wounds on the target from the sharp talons. Alternatively, he can perform a roundhouse kick, slashing the target instead of stabbing them. Depending on how much strength he puts behind the attack, Vash can be as tame as to knock a person out, or as outrageous as to destroy an entire city wall. Rank: C-S+

With his guns still never having stopped pointing at Maderas, Vash fired two more bullets, timing the hit when Maderas was most shocked, startled and confused. The two bullets were more powerful than the previous ones, and immense black Busou-shoku no Haki clad them. Vash aimed for both of Maderas' shoulders.

P.S. Vash's speed while transformed is 2 tiers higher, + 120 COO + Future Sight, was used to pull that off.

Maderas has successfully reached his opponent and was about to deliver one of his deadliest of attacks but sadly the attack would never connect or reach his opponent. For the man that stood in front of him, a spiritual reincarnation of his most despised opponent had tapped into power for only a select few.

Advanced mantra.

The moment the idea of an attack had even been created in Maderas' mind Vash had already received the info through his haki and countered accordingly with an attack so fast it even went beyond the demon lords perception of speed. And without the ability to react he'd receive a kick with the power of a freight truck straight to his body. The realisation of what just had happened would only hit the demon lord once he was flying backwards, blood splattered on the floor as flew. While in the air Maderas would try and prevent any more damage to him from being inflicted. And despite him being, shocked and bewildered the man managed to nearly avoid one of the bullets, still scraping off the skin from his shoulder. Leaving only his left shoulder with a large bleeding hole.

Eventually, the demon lord would come to a stop on a further location than where he initially started. Blood was dripping from the several holes he now had in his body. Soaking through his clothes as it'd stain the ground below him, eyes bloodshot red and clearly already fatigued in what was only one exchange. "In...inconceivable." Never did the demon lord figure there'd be such a powerful individual it defied all his knowledge and experience. Sadly, this closed-off world had prevented Maderas from learning the harsh reality that was the new world. As there were several beings on the level of Vash or even beyond him.

Gaston after that quick exchange also finally realised why the crew was so relaxed. For there to be a creature that could outclass Vash would seem rather fictional. Their captain was without a doubt one of the most powerful fighters Gaston had ever seen in his life. He'd guess that he'd even outdo the former lord Mediolas.

"I...will not LET THIS BE THE END!" Maderas said as Vash could see the man flexing every muscle fibre in his body to their extremities.

Haki would coat his arms and legs as fire blasted out from the blade, his fiero mastery creating a torrent of fire.

"Ku no kata!" Maderas said as he blitzed from his position with incredible speed which forced the torrent of fire to move around him, creating an almost straight beam of fire. Something Gintoki and Bambina would recognize in a similar technique that Rozalin used. Perhaps she based her own technique on this one. And once near his opponent Maderas would deliver one powerful and singular downwards slash with the power to cleave this entire arena if he'd avoid or take it.

"RENGOKU!" The demon lord shouted in desperation. Knowing full well that his time was up.

A devastating dashing slash that the user initiates from a high stance, the technique had enough power to carve a deep impression that burnt the ground where it was unleashed.

Vash's talon leg rammed into Maderas' abdomen, blowing him away before he could so much as land an attack on Vash. A quick two-shot followed. One of the bullets was avoided, but the other managed to hit Maderas' shoulder, adding further damage to the Demon Lord. Gaston realized the difference in class and did so in a sense of admiration, while Maderas himself, noticing the same thing, reacted to it in rage, anger and disbelief. However, regardless of the reaction, the truth was the truth.

Falling into rage, Maderas decided to go all out early on in the battle - which spoke volumes of his confidence, or lack thereof, to Vash. The battle had already been won on a mental level, now it was time to actually win it, and free Disgaea. Black Busou-shoku no Haki clad Maderas' body and an intense fiery blaze erupted from him and his sword. With all of his might, Maderas pushed off of the ground, dashing toward Vash like a fiery train. Without a doubt, an attack that not many could survive was coming, but Vash knew how to deal with it, due to the fact that he had already won the mental battle.

He would give an arm to Maderas.

Vash pushed off of the ground, dashing toward Maderas. Then, right as they closed the distance, Vash pointed his gun at Maderas. Vash was able to see the future, and timed it perfectly. He ''acted'' as if Maderas was about to outspeed him, and gave Maderas the swing. The blazing sword cut as Vash sidestepped. The arm that he had extended in order to attempt a shot at Maderas, was cut cleanly off, giving Maderas a glimpse of hope. However, the flying arm was what killed all hope.

Now at point blank range, and predicting the future, Vash fired another shot with his other gun, this one aimed straight at the chest. Immense black Busou-shoku no Haki clad the bullet, aiming to have it rip straight through Maderas' lungs. Between Vash's superior speed, his ability to see the future, as well as the surprise factor of letting his own arm get cut off and not succumbing to that injury. All of those factors worked together to maximize the chances of hitting his target.

From there, if - and only if - the bullet ripped through Maderas' lungs, Vash would capitalize on the momentary pain and paralysis that the severe wound would inflict, and he would lower his gun, firing two more gunshots at Maderas' knees. From there, Vash would jump away, landing back on the ground right next to where his severed arm was.

Two men dashed towards one another. One in a fit of rage blinded by his own inferiority. The other was calm and collected bearing the gift of grim future that he embraced so willingly. A grim future for his opponent only in the sense that it was futile to resist an entity that knew what would happen before it was actually realised and observed.

Maderas would come to that bitter conclusion in but a few short moments.

The blazing sword would cleave through the arm with the ease of a knife going through butter. Bringing an inkling of hope into himself disguised as a poison that'd prevent him from seeing the ploy that'd unravel before him.

BANG - Vash's gun fired with deadly precision.

Unable to defend nor even see the attack coming Maderas would only realize that the attack happened when his lungs were pierced by the bullet. The hope that had drugged him only now wearing off, replacing that feeling with intense and nauseating pain. Blasted backwards from the power Vash's firearm carried Maderas would find himself several feet backwards. During the push, blood would lash out from the wound dyeing the ground below his feet a crimson colour.

Sadly his crimson reaper would see that Maderas wouldn't be able to retaliate any longer. While in agonizing pain Vash would lower his firearm and shot the demon lord twice in his knees, blasting off his kneecaps in a most gruesome manner. Forcing the lord on his knees, in a most ironic fashion.

Now on his knees, the demon lord finally came to the conclusion. This man before him was so far out of reach for him to fight all of it was futile, even the arm he sliced was but on purpose so he could get in a clean shot to seal the deal. The fire around Maderas wavered as if it too had lost its will to fight, vanishing together with Maderas own once prideful and nearly arrogant personality. To see the unfathomable powers this ocean housed was something out of a nightmare. And thus Maderas simply remained on his knees not defeated through physical means but mentally.

The mind of such a strong and egotistical person was as fragile as a glass window.

Simple awe took the arena, both Gaston and Maderas his children who had been watching from above couldn't believe their eyes. "Terrifying," Gaston said as cold sweat ran from his forehead.

Seeing as the fight was done and over Vash would most likely pay attention to his severed arm and most seasoned fighters would do so for there wasn't a shred of fire left in Maderas his eyes. But in that split second the man took to look at his arm and back a most surprising turn of events took place.

In front of Maderas two children took up to the defence of their defeated father. Their arms wide open using both of their bodies as a wide enough shield to prevent Vash from taking the final blow. Or so their minds constructed the idea. Hanako and Taro, the two who had started this journey for both Vash and Wolf had finally reappeared. But in all honesty, the two men wouldn't recognize them. Or would they?

The two children stood in front of their father, tears around their eyes clearly shaken and terrified to their core. In the midst of listening to Gaston's tale. Vash had nearly forgotten a simple detail.

This man was a father. And he had nearly openly executed him for his entire family to see. The arena also suddenly filled with the full force of their drone army. As they suddenly appeared out of nowhere, preventing Vash's allies from aiding him at this moment. Or at least keep them occupied long enough. Even with the entire red coats pirates in the stands, they still had to fight through 17.000 or so demon drones.

"Enough blood has been shed! Please...stop this I beg of you..." Hanako pled as she was nearly losing control over her tears.

Would Vash push into the darkness? Or would he diffuse this situation?

Vash's bullets pierced Maderas' chest and both of his knees. Blood splattered everywhere and the Demon Lord fell to his knees, swiftly and convincingly defeated. Looking at Maderas, Vash knew that there was no fight left in the Demon Lord. And so Vash looked away, picking up his own arm. Even the fact that he looked away for a moment, showed just how different the levels were. Vash was not worried about a last ditch attack by the Demon Lord at all - there was no fear.

When Vash straightened back up after having picked his arm up, he saw two young Demons, a boy and a girl, get inbetween him and the Demon Lord. With arms spread wide, they were using their bodies, protecting the Demon Lord with their own lives. At the same time, the arena filled up with thousands of enemies, all aiming to protect their Demon Lord with their lives. One of the two child Demons begged for Vash to stop and spare the Demon Lord. Looking around, Vash, showing no hostility, put his severed arm against the rest of his still attached arm, as if putting them back together. Blue flames suddenly engulfed the severed limb, and the arm started to regenerate rapidly.

It was an extremely severe injury, so it would take some time, but the healing rate was incredible. The blue flames spread throughout the rest of Vash's body and then swirled around him, transforming him into a grandiose Phoenix. The Phoenix, it's wings spread wide, stood not too far away from the two children Demons, and the Demon Lord that they were protecting, looking down on them.

Any man that can inspire so many others to protect him deserves some respect. And they're not doing it out of fear of you either. If they were afraid of you, this would have been the perfect opportunity for them to bail on you.

You've been ruling them with some type of respect, it seems. And the same goes for the kids.

Vash - the Phoenix - said, standing so mythologically in front of the Demons. Vash had just swiftly defeated the Demon Lord without a problem, he had then spawned flames that were able to regenerate a severed limb, and then proceeded to transform into a Mythological Phoenix. And now, he would show great character. From his wings, blue flames suddenly spread out, engulfing the two children Demons, as well as Maderas himself. Maderas' injuries would begin to heal. Those, too, would take some time, but undoubtedly, the Phoenix's flames were regenerating Maderas.

The choice is yours, Demon Lord. I have no wish to rule Disgaea, but I do wish for Disgaea to have a worthy ruler. A ruler that is ready to step out of this cave, and experience the real world. A ruler that will work hard to advance this nation, and work together with the rest of the world for the good of all. Will that become you, or do I have to find someone else?

Vash said, giving Maderas a choice. Maderas belonged to a race that saw fire as a weapon. Something to destroy with. Now, he saw fire heal. He saw fire give life. The world was greater than he had ever thought down here in the caves. What would he choose?
