The fight was over that much was certain and Vash himself also recognized that fact. He'd launch himself into the air transforming into a full phoenix allowing him to shower his opponent and his kin with the phoenix's healing factor. Maderas would gaze upon his arms as he felt the pain leaving his limbs. While slowly he could feel energy returning to his soul but his mind would take longer to repair, unfortunately. He and his family would listen to the words of Vash and afterwards eye one another, pondering if they could do such a thing. The thousands of drones would vanish as quickly as they appeared upon seeing the waving motion provided by their leader Maderas. Supported by his oldest son Valvatorez the man stood up despite his injuries. " Perhaps this is what father warned me about all those years ago..." Maderas said as his youngest children and his oldest one looked upon him in confusion.

"To think that the ability father once wielded was the same thing you've displayed today...I was such a naive fool."
"What are you talking about father?" - Valvatorez questioned.
"He always said defeat would make me stronger. But I just laughed at that notion...now I understand why your uncle left to see the world all those years ago..." He added referring to an unknown person.
"We have an uncle?" One of the youngest said.
"I'll explain later Taro."
"Red coat. I acknowledge my defeat today but I won't be the one to do what you envision for this place. My brother Krichevskoy is much more suited for such a job. He always showed much more promise but he left centuries ago to see the world and better himself in both mind and body. It is time for him to return home I dare say." Maderas said as he answered Vash.

From the arena, Gaston was moving closer to Maderas and his family and could hear clearly what was being discussed between Vash and the old lord. Huffing and puffing the older gentleman would part his own knowledge upon the family. " I can direct you towards the place he chose first, my lord. Your brother visited me right before he left, he wished to partake in whiskey before he departed you see."
"Hmph...sounds like him...very well. Inform me about later tonight."
"As you wish my liege," Gaston said with a bow recognizing that Maderas was starting to see things differently.

The rest of the family would join in as they supported their father back towards their mansion so he could rest and receive further treatment. The flames did most of the work but he still needed rest. Gaston, however, remained for a bit longer so he could make his parting words to Vash.

"I offer you my thanks lord Vash. You may have arrived here accidentally but I firmly believe lord Meliodas spirit guided you here. Only his dominant will and potential could make Maderas see reason while engaging an insurmountable foe."

"I hope we may see each other once more on this vast ocean. My bar shall always welcome you with open arms."
Gaston said as he bowed towards Vash and took his leave as well after hearing Vash's reply.

With the arena now only left to Vash and his crew, the members would find two demon drones awaiting the pirate group. Supposedly they'd escort the men back towards the top of the ocean as this island was a bit of a maze without proper guidance. Especially when they weren't even aware of how they got here in the first place.

An odd journey it was on the island of Disgaea.

Basking in the Phoenix's flames, Maderas had a change of heart. Vash's actions had a part in it, but it was the actions of Maderas' brother, Krichevskoy, centuries ago, that really connected things together. At that point, it became clear that everything that had happened on Disgaea on this day, was the result of fate. The blue flames fizzled away and Vash in his human form landed back on the ground. Maderas and the rest of the demons left. It was time to heal, and then start a new chapter for the Demonkin.

The old bartender stayed around for a bit, thanking Vash, as well as stating that he, too, was sure fate and the guidance of Meliodas had caused all of this. Vash smiled and nodded, extending a handshake when the old bartender invited Vash to come visit his bar anytime in the future.

I'll take you up on that offer. And not only once.

Vash said, smiling. Wolfwood, Gintoki and Bambina all smiled as well, and the chapter of Disgaea, or rather, this chapter of Disgaea, ended happily. Vash and his crew would say their goodbyes to the old bartender, the Demonkin, and left Disgaea with the guidance of two Demons. Hours later, Vash and his crew would be aboard their ship again, reunited with the rest of the crew. They were posed questions and made fun of for their stupidity by the fellow crew members, but it was all fun and games.

And with that, the Red Coats sailed away. It was only a matter of time until they would come back to Disgaea, that time with the whole crew, welcomed and on good terms with one of the most interesting races that the world had to offer. The Tieflings.

"Dialogue"

A dark sky with a large moon in the distance. Eternal night, deep underground in the Underworld. This was the land of tieflings. A hooded figure emerged from a cave beneath the land, one of the many underground hidden cave systems that is said to reach up to thirty islands. He looked into the distance, as Disgaea was exposed to him in all its glory.

It would seem like the intel was spot on after all. I'm here, and it's more empty than I imagined. However, I have more pressing matters to attend to.

Cletus spent the last few months searching all over the seas on the history of his kin. Not having a crew of his own, he hopped from ship to ship to get by. 13 years ago, the island he lived on was invaded and ravaged by the World Government and the Marines. All in search for him. The humans who raised him had no choice but to hide him, in doing so they lost their lives. Because he was a Lunarian, he caused the deaths of everyone he cared about. He had all intentions of burning the Government and the Marines to the ground. But first, he wanted to know why he was worth killing for.

Which led him here, the second largest population of tieflings/lunarians in existence. The cold wind blew, slipping into the the eye openings of Cletus' mask, making him to squint slightly. The land of Disgaea was practically a barren wasteland. He could see the dim glow of molten lava in the distance, as well as the barely visible outline of a castle even further.

It looks like I've found my destination.

After an extensive battle against Shiki, a legendary pirate of the old, the prince of Hiraya Landayan Morrow devoted himself to becoming one of the greatest, if not the greatest of all. Thereon, he rebuilt his military forces from around the globe and equipped their armada with the strongest: Rebels of Alabasta Kingdom, Fighters of Kenzan Island, Level 6 Impel Down Fugitives, Elite Assassins from Poker Island, Super Athletes from the Underground World, Mightiest Knights from Camelot, a Science Genius from Shiki's crew, and the Prince of Atlantia himself.

And just a few days ago after this, he brought his moving empire to the Germa Kingdom and displayed a great amount of supremacy. A power that will change the tides of the seas. Gambit's generals overwhelmed the army that once conquered the blues. And with that fall, a union was formed.

With this newfound glory, the crew formed an unparalleled line of warfare capable of opposing the world government to turn it upside down. He would traverse the oceans in search of a Soviet Union of Vampirates Empire, dispersing all his forces to seek the truth, heritage, and wealth.

Prince Namor sailed to the bottom of the sea to fight for succession. Manaka sailed back to Merveille to take control of the mutated beasts. Gambit, T-Bag, and Ryan Reynolds headed to Serapis to find the truth. Aramis headed back to Camelot to reclaim the throne to King Arthur. KG, Koza, Janemba, and Freeza were ordered by Gambit to look for a race. A race they thought had been eradicated. With that, four ships traversed the New World, headed by an elite force, bringing 2000 Vampirates with them.

However, when a certain pirate crew spared the Demon Lord, they did not fully capture the land but instead made peace. The crew and that race are now on great terms. As for the natives, they have come to decide that the world is vast, and they now regularly go on expeditions to explore the surface world - which is starting to change their culture, their lives, and even the way they fight and carry themselves.

A faction of the World Government, SWORD, was recently sent to Disgaea to spread dissonance. The World Nobles do not trust this race, afraid that they may revolt. Henceforth, an inner turmoil within the World Government emerged.

The Silver Vampirates needed to secure this land and prevent any mishaps. As the four top commanders sailed the seas, they would be facing a great danger. Or perhaps, another joint venture with someone of future significance, destined to rupture the World Government itself. Who he is is yet to unravel.

@Mr. Anderson this will be my only post on this island and I will let you control the four commanders.

Rolling Stones, Art of Flaming Jutte
This martial arts focuses on the use of traditional martial arts weapons known as the Jutte (or Jitte). The Jutte is a two-pronged baton that is used by retainers in their country. The Jutte is used to block knife/sword strikes, hit opponents with the shaft, and trap incoming sword strikes between the shaft and prong by twisting the jutte.

The jutte is also referred to as the ‘sword breaker’ as in the hands of a master it is possible to not only trap but also to break a sword blade.

His Jutte is 1.5 meters in length with a one-pronged tine (kagi) about 15.5 cm long starting just above the hilt and pointing toward the tip (sentan). This is made up of sea stone so he could annihilate the devil fruit users.

Requires minimum: 21 Strength and 21 Rolling Stones Mastery..
At 61 mastery in strength, movement, and Rolling Stones, your Jutte can catch flames by twirling it rapidly which helps you to increase the damage of an attack.
At 81 mastery, every swing or strike created by the user enables the weapon to catch flames.

Slade: A simple thrust to the opponent's body.
- DPR C, requires 21 Strength, 21 MA Mastery

AC/DC: A downward pound to the opponent.
- DPR C, requires 21 Strength, 21 MA Mastery

Bon Jovi: The user spins and strikes upwards, knocking the opponent to the ground and inflicting damage. The attack is similar to Shoryuken of Ken/Ryu.
- DPR C, requires 21 Strength, 21 MA Mastery

Alias: The user holds the staff in reverse grip with the other hand on his wrist and lands a deadly horizontal blow to the body, sending them flying.
- DPR B, requires 41 Strength, 41 MA Mastery

Aerosmith: The user jumps and holds the staff in reverse grip with two hands, so that its tip is facing the ground, then thrust it down to the opponent's head, stunning them for 1 turn if the attack is super effective.
- DPR B, requires 51 Strength, 51 MA Mastery

Toto: A counter-attack to an incoming attack. He hits the opponent’s weapon with the shaft and waxes it off before landing a rapid thrust onto them.
- DPR B, requires 41 Strength, 41 MA Mastery

Slapshock: The user dashes forth the opponent and lands a 4 solid left and right bitch slaps to the opponent’s face using the Jutte.
- DPR B, requires 41 Strength, 41 MA Mastery

Rage Against the Machine: The user strikes an opponent's weapon almost instantaneously. This technique is primarily intended to disarm the opponent by destructing whatever weapon they might be wielding at close range but subsequently damages the wielder, too.
- DPR B, requires 41 Strength, 41 MA Mastery

Wolf: The technique requires 2 Juttes in order to muster its true form. This is a lightning-fast combination consisting of a hard upward strike to the chin followed by an overhand strike to the skull, stunning them for 1 turn if the attack is super effective. It must be stressed that there is virtually no delay between the two blows. The combination is portrayed as a wolf's fangs as they sink into their victim.
- DPR A, requires 61 Strength, 61 MA Mastery

Firehouse: The user rapidly twirls the jutte with his two hands as if seeing a propeller in flames, then swings it up projecting a circular formation of flames that travels towards the target.
- DPR A, requires 71 Strength, 71 MA Mastery

Guns N' Roses: A multi-thrust technique. The user starts by rapidly twirling the jutte until it catches flame, then thrusts it to the target 10 times wherein it creates a highly compressed blast of air mixed with flames as if fired from a cannon, hurting anyone inside its AOE.
- DPR A, requires 81 Strength, 81 MA Mastery (AoE: 81/5=16)

Def Leppard: A two-handed downward strike. The user twirls the jutte rapidly and performs a devastating overhead strike which releases a compressed blast of air and flames which affect anyone inside its AOE.
- DPR A, requires 81 Strength, 81 MA Mastery (AoE: 81/5=16)

Styx: Could be a form of a block, disarming technique, or preparation to counter an attack. The user traps incoming attacks between the shaft and prong, disarms it by twisting the jutte, then launches a quick thrust to their body using the other jutte.
- DPR A, requires 71 Strength, 71 MA Mastery

Metallica: The user focuses all his energy, speed, and strength into his Jutte/s then starts with a diagonal strike on the body; then swings his weapon to the other side - as if forming a curve - to land a horizontal strike to the ribs; followed by a thrust to the belly. After that, he swings the jutte upwards, forming an arc and spins and lands a vertical strike to the shoulder; he then spins to the other side and lands a diagonal strike down to the knee and lands a finishing upward blow to the head, sending them flying, bursting in flames.
- DPR S, requires 81 Strength, 81 MA Mastery

Wolfgang: A multi-hit version of Wolf. The user fires a barrage of 6 Wolves which stuns the target if the attack is super effective, followed by a spinning strike to head to send the target counter-spinning in the air. The combination is portrayed as a pack of werewolves as they sink into their victims. The attack is rapid enough for the attacks to catch flames during the process which then increases the damage incurred.
- DPR S, requires 91 Strength, 91 MA Mastery

Queen, Bohemian Rhapsody: The user leaps in the air while rapidly twirling the jutte until it catches flame. He holds the staff in a reverse grip, so that its tip is pointing at the ground, then strikes powerfully and launches a compressed blast of air and flames which blast anyone inside its AOE. The technique uses fall and gravity to its advantage in order to magnify its strength.
- DPR S each card, requires 100 Strength, 100 MA Mastery (AoE: 100/5=20m)

Nirvana: The user focuses all his energy, speed, and strength on his Jutte. As the weapon catches fire, he will dash forth the opponent and starts with an upward stroke to the chin sending them mid-air. Jumping above his target, he will launch a downward strike to the head sending them back on the ground.
Gives turn-based +20 sub-stat boost in MA
- DPR S+ each card, requires 100 Strength, 100 MA Mastery

Rock n Roll, All-star!!: This attack should be considered the ultra-skill of Juttejutsu. The user jumps in the air at lightning speed. Then he channels all his energy into the weapon. And as it catches fire, he will then flip multiple times while falling down to the target before launching an overhead strike to its head which leaves them bursting in flames.
Gives turn-based +20 sub-stat boost in MA
- DPR S+ each card, requires 100 Strength, 100 MA Mastery

It was night. Well, it was always night in the underworld. Somewhere within the land stood a castle surrounded below by lava. It was a peculiar castle to look at from afar. Very pointy for some reason. The moon shone overhead, bigger than any moon had any right to be. Within there were many different rooms. Some normal gold clad and grand, some rooms had lava covering parts of the floor.

Deep within the castle, there is a throne room, walls clad in crimson red, with an opulent chair serving as a throne. On the throne sat King Krichevskoy munching on Dark Manju with great relish. By the doors stood two guards. They were downright terrifying to any outsider that was to behold them. Their heads aflame with great black horns. They were but simple demons and as such looked quite different from humans.

King Krichevskoy had been in a downcast mood as of late, hence why he was throwing Dark Manju into his mouth like there was no tomorrow. Hoping that the snack would lift his spirit so he could think of a solution. Sigh... My people are unhappy, it's been too long since any but a few ventured out into the world above. Maybe keeping them inside Disgaea was a mistake? But the world above has become so much more dangerous in the last couple of years. The feeling of danger can choke a lesser demon.

Not paying enough attention to what he was doing, King Krichevskoy choked on his snacks. Loud thuds resounded in the room as he beat his chest to try and dislodge the naughty treat. One of the guards ran forward and struck him in the back and the Dark Manju came flying out skittering on the floor before coming to a stop. The guard looked at the offending Manju and picked it up and hid it in the folds of his clothing.

Breathing heavily King Krichevskoy felt his eyes water. That was dangerous... I am the most powerful being in this land, and I almost die because of a damn snack... Incredible.

He sat there contemplating the fragility of life, not knowing that danger was afoot in his lands... And soon, snack would be the last thing on his mind.

Locked on to his target he fully englufed his body in his fiero and broke into a dash, headed the direction of the castle. Cletus cut through the darkness like a knife, traveling across the barren landscape at full speed leaving behind a flaming trail in his wake. In what seemed like no time at all, he had arrived near the river of lava he had spotted before.

Im guessing if I follow along here I'll get where I need to be.

Cletus continued his advance, trying to cover most of the distance before he begins to feel the pull of fatigue. However, he couldnt help but feel slightly disappointed the more he went on.

I expected to encounter some form of life by now, but nothing. There's nothing flourishing here.

Based on what he could gather here and there, very little is known about Lunarians. They were said to have originally lived on the Red Line before they were supposedly wiped out, and were so strong that they could survive any harsh environment. However Disgaea was too empty for his liking. Or maybe he was just too used to the world above. He emptied his mind and focused.

No matter. I'll have all my questions answered soon enough.

He activated his Color of Observation, just in case he happened to come across some form of resistance along the way.

Dash Burn: A wild flaming dash. Cletus Ignites his body and dashes forward quickly leaving a trail of fire as he burns everything in his path.

A weird sensation traveled down King Krichevskoy's back. As if someone had emptied a glass of cold water there. Oh no... What is going to happen now? Suddenly the doors to the throne room opened with more than necessary force, a guard came up to King Krichevskoy and held out a piece of paper. The king read it hurriedly. He raised an eyebrow at the guard; "Really? Again?" The guard nodded slowly.

Sigh... As much as I'd like to keep this country closed off. I guess it's quite impossible after what happened last time outsiders came here. They can come as easily as they like. But why? Oh, why is there an unknown Lunarian running this way? Is there any point in trying to stop him? No... Let's try to keep relations friendly as much as possible. Not that I think I have much of a choice.

With his mind made up, the king sat a little straighter on his throne, his voice booming out sounding strong and self-assured.

"Let him in, do not try to hinder him in any way, I will speak to him here in this room".

It wasnt long before Cletus arrived near the castle. As he came to an abrupt stop, the fire around his body dissapated and his Color of Observation deactivated. He took in its appearance. The weirdly shaped castle stood on a rock formation of its own with a bridge stretching out to the area he stood. It was completely surrounded by a pool of lava.

They have weird taste in building structure. More importantly, there's still no resistance. Are the inhabitants of the castle still here?

He crossed the bridge and walked straight up to the gate. With till no sign of guards, he reached out his hand to push the gate open. If the castle was really abandoned surely they would not be locked? But to Cletus' surprise, the gates opened on their own. He instantly reactivated his Color of Observation as he walked in, sensing two weak weirdly shaped auras.

Though they could not see it under his mask, he raised a brow at the two strange flaming creatures that stood on the other side. They said nothing at all as they gestured for him to enter the castle. Cletus made his way in without hesitation, he left himself open, for he knew he could kill them both if he wanted to. The castle was filled with many rooms that stretched as far the eyes could see, many of which had different shapes and colors. It would be difficult to get lost in here.

"I assume this means you're taking me to your leader. The King of the Lunrians here?"

He looked behind him as the creatures followed closely, releasing killing intent so they got the message not to try anything funny.

Steps echoed through the throne room as I walked back and forth contemplating how to best approach the situation. Will this be another challenge like last time? Is my patience to be tested? No... I cannot get ahead of myself now. What is best for Disgaea? What is best for my kingdom? Maybe it won't even become that big this time?

I stopped moving as something had caught my attention. Footsteps moving towards my location... Sigh... Here we go. I went and sat down on my throne again as I fixed my full attention at the doors as they swung open. In front were two of my guards who were guiding what I imagined was a man. Though his face was hidden by a mask, it could have been a woman. I stared right into the newcomer's eyes as my voice rang out.

"Why... Have you come?"

The creatures did not respond nor showed signs of being intimidated. Instead, they walked ahead of Cletus as they had reached their destination and gestured to the two guards to open the door. Together, the guards opened the room revealing the crimson red throne room within. On the throne, sat what appeared to be the King of this land who wasted no time questioning why he had come. Straight to the point, Cletus stood before the King and spoke.

"My name is Cletus Dragon. I have come seeking answers."

He paused for a second before continuing. "Let not the mask fool you, I am a lunarian just like you. At the age of 3, I was found washed up on the shore of an island that resides in the Grand Line.. or so I was told by the people that raised me there."Rage began to swell up within Cletus. Had the King been observing him closely, he would notice Cletus' hands clentch and his eyes turn a firey bright orange. "Then 10 years afterwards, the World Government sent both the Marines and strange men dressed in white to my home and destroyed my friends and family."

His body was now fully imbued in fiero. The flames surrounding him danced uncontrollably wild putting his fury in full display. This went on for a few seconds before Cletus finally closed his eyes and took a deep breath before calming down. He opened his eyes slowly before continuing.

"So I come before you, to this hidden land of Lunarians, to ask why is the World Government after us?"

Cletus stood patiently and waited for the King to give his answer.

I stood and watched the newcomer as he started to work himself up into a rage. Sigh... Same old story I see... Dammit, some things never change. My eyebrows rose marginally as his visitor worked himself into a proper rage and burst into flames. Though it didn't take long for him to calm down and extinguish himself again.
"So I come before you, to this hidden land of Lunarians, to ask why is the World Government after us?"
I pinched the bridge of my nose with my index finger and thumb. "I'm not even sure I care to tell you... As much as I sympathize with your anger, it is not something you'll like to hear". I let out a long sigh before continuing. "Do you know how merfolk, especially mermaids tend to get kidnapped and sold in the vilest black markets? Well, part of the reason we are hunted is not so different. We're exotic... Plain and simple. The World Government though... That is a little different, though there are similarities. First, we are not humans. Second, we kept ourselves secluded from the world even more than the Merfolk did, and as such, humans have had even less exposure to us, making us seem even less human... Therefore we're scarier."

I drew in a breath to center myself, then I glared into my visitor's eyes. "Another reason we're feared is that we control fire. Even though water can level mountains and sink landmasses, people will always fear the sight of fire more". Should I tell him the rest? Sure... Why not?

"Last reason is that, long, long ago there was a powerful Lunarian that brought his part of the world to its knees. I do not know whether or not he was the most powerful Lunarian that ever existed or something silly like that, but he was unmatched in his area in his time. And those stories have been twisted even further by propaganda and fear-mongering until we're all persecuted by the authorities that still cling onto their old prejudices".

I let my words die out as I watched how this young buck would react.

Cletus was not surprised by the King's explanation.

In the end, it really was their fear. But ultimately, none of this would change anything for him. It doesnt justify anything they've done. Everything they made him lose. Everyone that lost their lives on that day were innocent people and all who accepted him for who he was despite how different he was in power. Now vengence was all he had in his heart, and he will make the government of the world burn. But something made him curious.

Cletus finally looked the King in the eye after some time. "But why stay secluded? Surely if there are others as strong as you there should be alot of you conquering the seas?" Cletus questioned bluntly.

"But why stay secluded? Surely if there are others as strong as you there should be alot of you conquering the seas?"
The mask made it difficult for me to read his expression. He doesn't seem cowed in any way, that is the only thing I am sure of. I rubbed one side of my mustache as I deliberated upon my visitor's question. A snort of derision escaped me.

"First and foremost, I am the strongest here. Not by a huge margin, and some can best me with a little luck on their side. However, if I took all the strong ones from this land to travel the seas, we would only be one strong crew. Nothing more, nothing less. The world above, as you probably know, is rife with powerful characters. A crew came into Disgaea earlier, bested one of our strongest, and eventually left. We opened our borders and trade has been fair. I, for my part though, have only become more worried. I feel exposed like a raw nerve and fear for my people, I fear that turmoil above will wreak havoc down here. I will probably never grow stronger than I am as of right now. I cannot dominate all that would seek to harm us".

A wry smile adorned my features. "So my guest, what do you want to do"?

Cletus understood the King's concerns. He could only imagine how much pressure it would be in being the only strongest man in the country. Opening the borders under these conditions came with benefits but even bigger risks in Cletus's eyes, for the Lunarian race was very few. Though filled with vengence, he had not lost his heart and compassion began to spark within him.

When asked what he would do, Cletus would remain silent for a few moments before sharing his plans. "My intentions were to find out why our race was targeted. In doing so, gain some insight as to why everyone I cared about had to die on that day." Cletus spoke as he began pulling down his hood revealing his white hair.

"What I want, is to destroy the World Government and bring a new dawn onto this world. A world where there won't be people like me who lose their families over fear and prejudice. A world where we wont be captured and sold like livestock. A world safe for our race to thrive once again."

He paused letting his words sink in.

"Let us join forces. I am not as strong as you right now. However, while you may not grow stronger, I will. We can join forces to remove the threat of the World Government together. In exchange, whenever you need assistance I will personally aid you without hesistation. You wont have to worry about defending your people or home alone again. On top of that..."

Cletus reached into his pocket and pulled out a piece of paper. He unfolded it smoothly before baring its contents to the King. It was a bounty poster of a man with a bounty of $1,335,000,000 beris...

"I also have intentions of seeking out and joining forces with him. I'm sure you've heard of this man, the Captain of the Vampirates "Prince Gambit". With his assistance, the safety of Disgaea would be more than assured. I will make sure he gives extra protection to this place, in order for you to roam as you please. After all, he is the man who defeated the legendary pirate Shiki the Golden Lion."

Cletus had heard rumors of Gambit having lunarian heritage as well as shared motivations of the downfall of the World Government. He had planned to seek him out after finding out the truth from the start. Cletus couldnt pass up joining forces with one of the current powerhouses of the sea. If the lunarians of Disgaea backed him too, then it was only a matter of time before the new dawn of the world began.

I nodded, my patience starting to wear thin. You don't say?

My shoulders drooped as if by great exhaustion. What a lovely thought... And what a dangerous road fraught with peril for himself and the whole of Disgaea.

I was baffled... Seconds ticked by as I sat with a stupified look on my face. Then I laughed uproariously. It boomed out of me and echoed back and forth in the throne room until it sounded like a whole group of people were present. Tears streaked down my cheeks as the laughter tapered out. When I had gotten myself under control I rose to my feet, feeling flames building within me. I did however quell that instinct so my guest wouldn't notice.

Staring into the eyes of the other man I knew what I wanted to say, and my voice was slightly hoarse as it rang out.

"Such a pretty dream... Such a farce. Alone I might have left to see what could be done, but I have a country to keep safe. I am going nowhere as things stand".

I nodded my head in the direction of the wanted poster. "I have heard of this man... However, you are not in a position to promise me anything at this point. As such you hold no real value to me or my citizens, and I will do nothing... Nothing... To stir up trouble on an empty promise".

The King was highly amused by Cletus' offer, laughing uncontrollably for a few seconds before recollecting himself. To his annoyance, the King declined not wanting to leave the country nor believing he was in a position to bargain. However, Cletus was not shaken.

He folded up the bounty poster silently before holding eye contact with the King. "Even so, I am now invested in this place and I cannot ignore the fact that this it needs extra protection. For if the marines or Ciphor Pol came to seize this country you would surely fail to protect it alone." Cletus replied showing strong resolve in the face of being laughed at.

"But my concerns change nothing for you. Only certainty, I suppose. I will return when my promises arent "empty".

With that, Cletus turned around before pulling up his hood and exiting the throne room. Now more determined that ever to find the Vampirates somehow.

Maybe he will get his wish sooner rather than later, as a group of individuals arrived in Disgaea. Their footsteps echo in the cave system as they progress, almost nearing the surface of this strange land. Who are they?

I watched as my guest left the room. "Close the doors!" I bellowed, and my guards scrambled to comply. For some reason, I was fuming. Why am I this agitated? Silly question... I'm frightened. This youngster is going to stir up trouble, maybe even force my hand... Should I kill him? No... I know too little about him, too little about his possible connections. Silence filled the room while I fretted over what to do. Suddenly I slammed my open palm down on the armrest of the chair that served as my throne. The wood splintered. Not again... I only have 4 more spare chairs in stock... I need to have more made.

Then I heaved a deep sigh. "Get me pen and paper". A guard stuck his hand into the folds of his clothing and produced a pen and a sheet of paper immediately. I leveled him with my gaze, feeling almost a little miffed at the thought of them almost knowing what I wanted before I did.

I cleared my throat uncomfortably. "Do you have one more sheet of paper inside there?" Yes, he did. I wrote two hasty letters and handed them to the guard that had supplied me with the required tools. "Bring one letter to Maderas and the other to Rozalin, quickly".

The guard rushed out of the room as if he had hellspawn at his heels. Well, this will be interesting.

The gates closed behind of him with a clank as Cletus exited the castle. The King's words still rang fresh in mind.

"Such a pretty dream... Such a farce. Alone I might have left to see what could be done, but I have a country to keep safe. I am going nowhere as things stand."

"However, you are not in a position to promise me anything at this point. As such you hold no real value to me or my citizens, and I will do nothing... Nothing... To stir up trouble on an empty promise".

He shook his head in disappointment at the King's lack of resolve from his perspective. But he guessed it couldnt be helped. Now he would have no choice but to join the Vampirates before returning here. However finding them is easier said than done or so he thought.

Far in the distance, KG, Koza, Janemba and Freeza finally arrived on the surface of Disgaea. They silently took in the appearance of the country. After a few seconds passed by, the giant KG broke the silence.

"This place is empty as shit. Let's make this one quick. Sooner we take this territory, sooner we get outta hea and eat some grub." he rubbed his stomach as he spoke. Koza sighed and pinched his brow as Janemba and Freeza stood silently awaiting orders on how to proceed.

Krichevskoy
Maderas
Rozalin

The doors to the throne room burst open, hitting the walls on either side creating cracks that spread wide. A tall, broad man with a terrifying countenance strolled into the room like he owned the place, his steps creating echoes. Slightly behind him and to the side sauntered a beautiful woman with a smile so bright it lit up the room. "King Krichevskoy, thank you for the incredibly polite summoning. It was most flattering". Maderas, upon hearing this, furrowed his brows as he bellowed "Wait... What!? Did you get a polite summons? The only thing I got was a command to get here within 5 minutes! I had to run the whole way...

One of the guards stepped in front of Maderas, barring his way while brandishing its weapon. The huge Lunarian gripped the guard by the throat. "You dare try to bar my way? You cretin...". With a look of utter contempt, Maderas lifted the guard off the floor and threw him into the nearest wall. The crunch of bones breaking could be heard, and then the guard fell to the floor and lay still.

"If it wasn't for the fact that I need you Maderas... I would kill you where you stand". The words were spoken in a tone so cold, one had to wonder if icicles would start to form.

Maderas simply snorted,
"I wonder whether or not you still have the strength for that? Be that as it may... Why am I here"?

With a sigh, the king began to retell the events that had just taken place.

Koza had continued to quietly survey the land on the giant man's shoulder. KG was very restless and irritated, holding onto his axe as he was hungry. Koza finally took notice of the castle in the distance, as well as the river of lava leading towards it. Smiling in satisfaction, he finally addresses his fellow Vampirates.

"Looks like we found our destination fellas! There's a castle in the distance, and with pretty much nothing else around here but barren land that seems like the way to go!" KG rolled his eyes.

"No shit? Where there's a castle there's a King! We aint wasting any mo time, LET'S GO!!" With that KG put one foot forward before breaking off into a sprint.

Koza, still standing on his shoulder manages to grab onto the collar of KG's vest saving himself from flying away from his full speed. He cursed under his breath, while Janemba and Freeza followed not too far behind the giant.

At about the same time, Cletus was moving full speed along the river of lava, unknowingly in the path of the Vampirates. With the gap between them growing ever smaller, he would begin notice a giant figure getting closer in the distance. The Vampirates would also notice a burning figure moving swiftly towards their direction. Koza was the first to speak.

"Looks like we've got company! I guess this means they already knew we were coming somehow?" KG scoffed and took his axe in hand.

"It dont matter to me. If they wanna fight, we'll give em a fight!"

With a roar that would echo throughout the area, KG swings his axe in the direction of Cletus unleashing a powerful and destructive Air Slash at the Lunarian.

Freeza and Janemba sped up together, advancing in front of KG and Koza. If the attack failed to land on him, they intended to follow up the giant's attack with some of their own. Cletus' eyes widen as the ranged slash cuts through the air like butter, growing ever closer to hitting him.
