"I accept."
Kanda said soundly but with a tone of regret in his voice. It was very apparent that whatever he just accepted was something with a very heavy cost as if saying farewell to a loved one. But regardless he had made his choice and that choice was acknowledged by a higher power. His eyes turned bright gold as his aura overflowed with power once again.

"Kiki Kyutoryu: Ashura!" - Kanda said, as an illusion manifested itself through Kanda's sheer aura and spirit. To Akira, this appeared as if he had gained an additional pair of heads and four more arms all wielding duplicates of his sword. Nine in total.

Akira having spoken the first sentence this entire battle launched an air blade that could rival one of the strongest slashes in this world. The slash itself shaped with a bird-like head, flew towards Kanda from high above and straight towards him. Intending to engulf and overwhelm him with a singular slash that would most likely claim his life. But the young man stood steadfast. Starting to pivot on his right foot, initiating a spin and forward movement.

"Ashura: Ugui!"
120: 5. Town Level +5(S+) +3(Haki) +1 Inate Force = 14. Planet Level

Kanda shouted as he rushed forward and straight towards Akira. The airblade itself hit and seemingly connected Kanda but in mere moments the air that made up this singular air slash was being diced and slashed and eventually nothing but particles were left. From beyond Akira's Nightinggale's fall, Kanda arrived after having run straight through the attack. His upper attire was shredded and his previous form was left behind in his previous location. Now standing eye to eye with Akira, the young Admiral's golden eyes flashed brightly as smoke and red lightning sparked from all of his blades. Back in his regular Santoryu stance.

"For the Ultramarines I shall elevate myself to the highest possible plane! Even if must become an ember afterwards, that is my solemn and remaining vow. TAKE IT ALL!"

Kanda shouted as he took one additional step forward, accelerating and engaging his top speed. Both weapons in his left and right hand moved upwards as the red sparks around them turned more and more into a storm of pure chaotic energy. "En-Ō Santōryū!" Kanda shouted as he arrived before Akira in a matter of moments. And his body would scream. Perhaps a first for this entire island and maybe a first since La Spada or any marine would manage to accomplish. But the young man's body and instinct would scream and cry out to dodge or manage this attack. For if it made contact fully it most likely would claim his life.

"Ippyakusanjo Hiryu Jigoku!"
120: 5. Town Level +6(Z) +3(Haki) +1 (CoC) = 15. Star Level

And so the star from Foxhound flew like a human missile aimed with a concentration unlike any other with the sole mission to strike down the opponent before him. Staking everything behind this last attack is a true last resort. Gambling everything on these 3 final strikes: His life, fame, power and even a future that might have been. All for a single cause, one that Akira would not know nor would ever try to understand. To give one's life for the cause of another was a foreign concept to the revenge-filled youth. But it was these characteristics that allowed Kanda to finally realize him. His final vow, his final ideal. It was recognized and the stormfather replied in kind. Fate was already set in stone but still, he rolled the dice for this young navy officer.

"Herald of the Ultramarines; Observe and bask in the power of a future untold." - The voice spoke now both in Kanda and Akira's mind.

And moments before the 3 haki submerged strikes would hit Akira something unfathomable happened. Through the injection of Kanda's entire life force a power unseen in this world was unleashed.

How would he respond?

120: 5. Town Level +6(Z) +3(Haki) +1 (CoC) = 15. Star Level
120: 5. Town Level +6(Z) +3(Haki) +2 (CoC+) = 16. Galaxy Level

Akira swung his attack out to take out Kanda once and for all, but it would seem that something else was in plan for Kanda, whom suddenly become much more powerful was able to continue resisting Akira’s prowess, slicing the air blade that Akira fired into nothingness as Kanda powered through with incredible ferocity. Soon, red lightning sparkles from his blades as Kanda loudly proclaim somewhat religiously with his life on the line. Akira noticed the increased in power, his blade already glowed brightly blue as blackish smoke emanates in response to Kanda. The boy is ready, for as Kanda took one step forward – energy and red sparks engulfing his hands and weapons as he accelerates towards Akira incredible speed, prompting Akira to do the same, engulfing his hands with Haki as well, but this time – similar reddish dark lightning crackles around the blade.

Both users of Conqueror’s Haki. Responding in kind, Akira also took a step forward – his speed and reaction was incredible, able to make attacks despite so little time. Using a flurry of thirteen thrusts, Akira fired an air blade for every thrust he made – simultaneously, making it such that Akira attacked 13 times at the same time towards Kanda.

Name: Autumn's Demise
Rank: S
Description: One of the most powerful technique known by this style. The user attacks in a flurry of skewers at an incredible speed such that all 13 strikes are done at the same time. Surprisingly, this technique is the result of practicing Pelting Rain and Autumn's Storm for an unholy amount of times, an imitation of fencing techniques. [Pic 1] (81 Shuurin, 81 Movement, 81 Strength)

Akira's DPR: 6. City Level (121+, Zoans only) + S+: +5 (Airblade version is S+) + CoA: +3 + CoC = 15. Star Level

….!

Both attacks collide as the two swordsman pushes their weapons hard against each other, but – Kanda’s attack was slightly stronger. Perhaps due to whatever state the man found himself in – but no matter, Kanda’s attack was rapidly overwhelming Akira’s attack as his swords are pushing against the mighty Zoan capabilities, and would soon break through. In that mere moment, a voice of unknown origins sounded into the boy’s mind yet thanks to the Akira’s mental state he was able to very quickly compartmentalize the distraction and what is happening in front of him despite even taking him by complete surprise. Immediately, the boy attempted to cover his body fully with Haki but halfway through, Kanda’s attack broke through – cutting past and into the flesh of the Assassin.

Akira's DPR: 15. Star Level vs 16. Galaxy Level.
Result: Attack is 1 DPR higher: Overwhelms the weaker attack but loses 5 DPR

New DPR: 11. Small Continent Level

Akira's Dura: 8. Island Level (121+, Zoans only) + CoA: +3 = 11. Small Continent Level (Not fully covered so: 10. Large Country Level)
Result: DPR 1 higher than dura: quite effective

With both being past each other once more – this time with Kanda’s strength overpowering Akira’s. Three powerful slashes cut through the raid suit, destroying what remains of the raid suit as a powerful fire blast burns the boy’s body. The clash between the two attacks was so powerful that a large dirt cloud arises from the ground from its implosion as well as the sizzling flames of Kanda’s attack that lingered for a while. But soon, the dust cloud would settle back onto the ground as a figure appears.

Akira, having survived the attack – could be seen in quite a bad shape. His body burned within the black bandages – but Akira’s identity has reduced to his Assassin clothing, which one may consider to be the identity of Raven. However, considering that everyone else around him is defeated bar the evacuated marines it is unlikely this identity to be found out, especially in the dark night. Walking towards Kanda, if he is still alive for the moment – that his life has not yet fully burnt away. Kanda would find the slow walking Akira to be one with serious injuries such as the three deep cuts onto his body as well as 1st to 2nd degree burns on his body though not well seen. While no fatal injuries on Akira, Kanda have pushed the boy such that he would prevent Akira from defeating the rest of the Marines on Fron Island.

Speaking to Kanda, whether dead or still alive at this point – Akira spoke, though in a much weaker voice. By this time, Mushin has long deactivated, causing further exhaustion mentally and physically thanks to Kanda's powerful attack.

“You are the strongest swordsman I have ever faced outside of Mihawk.”

Beneath Akira’s weakness. A weak smile, one of satisfaction.

“You did well Marine. I shall never forget you for as long as I live.”

Kanda careened past Akira as both warriors unleashed their attacks. The marine stood still for a solid few seconds but the price of this power quickly came, blood trickled from the corner of his mouth as his haki quickly faded from both his body and his weapons. The blades themselves snapped and shattered - no longer able to contain the massive amount of power Kanda was exerting upon them. The man exhaled as he turned around. Akira was still alive, mortally wounded enough that he'd have to leave this place. The swordsman was content, this was what he was aiming for. The ideal path, with this everything would fall into place. He'd close his eyes accepting the path he had made, it wouldn't be long now.

"Kanda-san!" Ieri shouted out from behind. But the man raised his arm and shook sideways, do not come. He motioned towards her. This was his final stand. Through Kallavan, Kanda and the others have communion with the storm father. An ancient and otherworldly presence one that simply watched and observed the world but a few mortals are aware of his presence and are allowed a communion with him. The knights radiant they were called in ancient times. Both Kanda and Kallavan are but two of these knights. And with each vow they strengthen their convictions, raising their battle power or basking by it through the storm father himself. Kallavan was a practitioner of the former and Kanda of the latter.

Through his vows and Ideals, Kanda was allowed to realize a power he'd have most likely achieved on his own through years and years of experience. The sacrifice of his future to steer fate into a specific path was the pact he made with the Stormfather. The vision he was shown was one where his commander would fail if he were to live in this moment. If Akira managed to slaughter this base and leave would have had dire consequences. It was a sacrifice he was more than glad to pay. For with his dying breath, the Ultramarines would be born.

A name and division soon to be feared throughout the world.

"Hah, it was fun while it lasted but do steel yourself, child," Kanda said slowly as he fell on his knees. The complexion of his body faded with each passing second, turning more and more into a ghost.

" This battle will ripple through time and the commander will come for your head. As will the Ultramarines."
"Fear their creed,"
Kanda said as he coughed up blood one final time and dropped to the ground.

Through sheer conviction and loyalty foxhound's second in command had laid down his life all to save the people present on this base. It was enough, his opponent was damaged and pushed to such an extent that even he would think twice before continuing. The night sky above was also slowly being replaced with dawn, the sun peering through its dark cover. And from the heavens, Akira would hear that same voice he had heard before.

"Whilst we draw breath, we stand. Whilst we stand, we fight. Whilst we fight, we prevail. Nothing shall stay our wrath."

The storm father spoke, relaying the creed to which the Ultramarines will operate.

Fron Island #21 (Final)
@Guren

Akira watched as Kanda seemed to be close to death – for the darkness would soon claimed the life of the swordsman. But before that, a newcomer appeared from behind – a lady whom shouted seemly in agitation. Akira would not bother with her however, for the dark night obscures enough of Akira to hide his identity to an extent, but the night is soon to set as sunrise would slowly illuminate the darkness. Akira’s time in Fron Island has pretty much reached the end. Kanda, having chosen to sacrifice his life to buy time for his own men is an admirable effort, one that paid off through the ultimate price. But alas, time is not on his side – Akira have to leave in order to set sail for the upcoming war, his injuries while serious could still allow him to kill every single other Marines left especially of those within the fodder ranks. Yet Akira chose to let it be, it is not worth to waste further time – for the base itself is sufficiently weakened that Fron Island could not supply reinforcements to the war and likely defend themselves from New World Pirates.

The damage is done.

Not only that, perhaps out of respect to Kanda – the Assassin will not waste all the effort in which Kanda has put forth his life into. Kanda would speak once more, having similarly enjoyed the fight but also warned Akira that he will be a target of a particular group of marines, telling Akira to fear them before he would draw his last breath. The sun has start to rise, lighting up the island slowly as an unknown voice sounded through his mind. A creed of sorts. The boy looked up for a moment, before he would transform into his Full Beast Form, a Pteranodon. With a flap of wings or two – Akira took flight, leaving Fron Island to its grim future.

The boy has become a target of the marines, something not usually a case for someone whose identity is supposedly rather mysterious. Fear the creed. He said. The boy, he does not fear much. He would fear the Grim Reaper herself, and his own failure to that end. The Ultramarine would not stop him however, for the boy’s objective is deeply ingrained within him. If the marines wishes upon it, a challenge it would be. They would not deter Akira from his desires. An obstacle that Akira would have to remove. With that in mind, Akira left the island very quickly – heading to the ship that awaits him. His speed meant chasing Akira down would be pretty impossible especially at their current state.

…..

@Ichimonji
Back at the ship, The Oceanus – Akira landed onto the deck. Injuries were serious, causing quite an uproar within the ship as medics came quickly to perform first aid. Healing such injuries before the war would be impossible, but with enough rest, just hours before the war the Assassin would regain his much needed strength.

“Tell Daedelus to get another Raid Suit before the war.”

Akira called for a message to be sent. However, Aiakos the Judge of Hades instead brought forward a case as Akira is attended by the Plague Doctors.

“Master Daedelus has already brought forth a spare Raid Suit… in case of a damaged suit…”

Akira looked onto the small suitcase in which the Judge opened up to show a very similar canister much like his original one which was destroyed by Kanda. A look onto the case, it seems like Daedelus has long prepared for something that would eventually happened.

“... I see…”

Akira spoke. Unbeknownst to the Assassin, a dangerous time bomb is ticking within the raid suit, one engineered by La Spada and Daedelus – a punishment for Akira’s insolence and betrayal. Something that will not reveal itself until many hours later. With that, Oceanus has set sail towards the Grand Line, where the Sovereign War awaits.
